Had lunch with you today – great service with lots of humor and expertise, the food was fantastic. Thank you for the wonderful time. Highly recommended.

- Location: Ideally situated directly on the waterfront in Lauterbach's small harbor. Very busy with tourists during the summer. - Parking: A few paid parking spaces are available. If you have the option of arriving by bicycle, this is highly recommended. - Ambiance: Superbly elegant, very warm, and modern. You feel very welcome. - Food and more: All the dishes we ordered were authentic, reimagined, and presented in a fresh way. Not your average fare, but two levels above the rest. - Service: Highly trained and qualified. The service was very attentive, and the welcome was exceptionally positive. - Prices: Prices are on the higher end, but considering the quality, ambiance, and service, they are the bare minimum. - Other: We recommend the set menus and making a reservation in advance.

Delicious food and great service

One of the best restaurants in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I've rarely eaten such high quality. The creative chef makes every taste bud explode. Absolutely amazing. TIP... My tuna sashimi totally blew me away.

Hospitality is accepted even in lowercase in the German dictionary on the North and Baltic Sea coasts, according to popular opinion in the rest of Germany. This preconception is probably not entirely unfounded. I've been to this truly excellent restaurant three times this year. The food is always outstanding, and once you're seated, the staff are also friendly and courteous. But! Every time, I was reprimanded upon entering when I requested entry and service. I was presented with various aspects of shortages and restrictions. The age-old motto "the customer is king, but the staff is emperor" always involuntarily flashed through my mind. I'll give up for this year—more reprimands upset my sensitive nature too much. Next year, however, I'll try again, incognito, of course. The food is so good :-)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The harbor restaurant "Zum kleinen Leuchtturm" in Lauterbach was a real highlight for us during our stay on Rügen. Even the journey there was an experience: taking the Rasender Roland to the Lauterbach Mole stop and then walking a few steps to the harbor. Luckily, we had made a reservation in advance – a must, as we quickly discovered. We sat in the covered outdoor area, which almost resembles a winter garden. From there, we had a magnificent view of the harbor, the gently clattering masts, and the calm water. The furnishings are of high quality down to the last detail – even the restrooms are tastefully designed, which further enhances the overall impression. For refreshments, we ordered an Alster and a Sea Buckthorn Spritz before the food arrived. The culinary delights were consistently exquisite: the double Wiener schnitzel with fries, the small calf's liver, and, from the daily special, the Baltic zander with pea and potato puree, wild broccoli, and asparagus. All dishes were of high quality, regionally inspired, and perfectly prepared. To finish, we had a scoop of vanilla ice cream, a strawberry crumble, and a crème brûlée—a delicious trio to round off the evening. The service seemed a bit understaffed toward the end, perhaps due to someone being ill. Since we were on vacation, we took it easy—only the departure time of the Rasender Roland (Race of Roland) limited our time. An all-around successful evening, one we will fondly remember. Five stars, without a doubt.

Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in my life.

The food itself is OK and tasty, but it's not a standout. The portions are relatively small, and the prices are high. The large veal liver was the size of a small portion elsewhere, but twice the price, so it didn't help to add all sorts of onions. The schnitzel was OK, but both the meat and the fried potatoes were quite dry. The brownie was quite chocolatey. But considering the price, it wasn't good enough. In conclusion, the food here is OK, but for the prices, you'd expect much better or more.

Excellent, high-quality cuisine. The service is also professional. But it also comes at a price. We won't be back here. One tiny drawback: the bread basket served with French butter instead of regional products. For example, the barrel butter from @gläserne-molkerei.de

Great restaurant, absolutely clean and modern. You can get a table even without a reservation. The staff always seemed friendly and helpful. One negative point is the early kitchen closing time; we arrived at 8:20 p.m. and were told the kitchen was closed, even though other guests were still getting their meals at 8:50 p.m. The ambiance, location, and restaurant were top-notch – parking on site is scarce.

I'm really picky about meat. I ordered medium and got it just that way, not rare. It was the tastiest thing I've ever eaten!

This was our first time here with two children, two adults, and a dog. We reserved a table outside in the corner for lunch because we didn't want to disturb anyone with the dog. Up until then, everything was great. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and entertaining. The kitchen staff came to us and had a very friendly chat with us and praised our dog. However, when we arrived for dinner, an experienced lady was there to "welcome" us at 3:45 p.m. Unfortunately, the lady must have gotten off on the wrong foot. First, she said that the corner table was actually reserved for 6:30 p.m. (!) and then reluctantly let us sit down. We were really looking forward to the meal and were eager to try the four-course menu. Unfortunately, the menu on the menu didn't match the one on the website. So I asked if they could possibly change the dessert for an additional charge. The lady was extremely annoyed and explained to me that everything had been billed exactly and that I could order everything individually. I waved my hand and didn't try to explain to the lady that I was lactose intolerant. After the starter prices came, it took a very, very long time for the main course to arrive. Meanwhile, the lady had covered all the chairs around us with two younger customers. We were the only guests up until then. So I don't understand how anyone couldn't manage to serve a table properly. The main course arrived after an hour. The lady didn't come to our table at all. We only managed to order a bottle of water with difficulty, which was left listlessly on our table without being poured. The food was excellent! I would drive 700km for it again. If the food didn't deserve 6 stars (many thanks to the kitchen), I would only give it 1 star. But that would be completely unfair to the kitchen. However, the experienced customer is in the wrong profession. I'm writing this in such detail so that the owner has a chance to respond. I worked in fine dining myself for a long time and know how difficult it is to have such great food. You shouldn't let bad service ruin it.

Wonderful restaurant with outstanding vegetarian cuisine! The harbor restaurant was the culinary highlight for us on Rügen – we ate there three out of five evenings because we were simply thrilled. The vegetarian cuisine is exceptional: imaginative, with the highest level of flavor, and beautifully presented. You immediately notice how much emphasis is placed on quality, freshness, and seasonality. We tried the entire vegetarian menu – every single dish was a delight. The surroundings are also perfect: the service is warm and professional, the ambiance stylish and cozy, and the tables are lovingly set. You feel welcome from the very first moment. For anyone who loves good food – and especially vegetarians – this is an absolute recommendation. We will definitely be back!

The portions are generously sized and nicely presented. The location at Lauterbach Harbor is, of course, ideal. Parking is also available. The restaurant is definitely worth a try.

The breakfast buffet and dinner were delicious. The hotel is very nice. Unfortunately, I have to deduct stars for the service. Everything was clean, everyone was very friendly, etc. But we had booked two travel cots. We weren't informed about the amenities and price over the phone. The amenities we found on the beds could have ruined our vacation. There was only the extremely thin "mattress" that comes with the bed. There weren't any child-sized bedding either. Luckily, we had decent travel cot mattresses in the car because we were going to visit our grandparents afterward. The beds weren't touched by room service during our entire stay. All of this would have been bearable and forgivable, but not at the price of over €20 per bed per night (we also had to pay extra for breakfast for the older child). We could have bought new beds with amenities on site, and it would have been even cheaper.

The food was good and beautifully presented. The service, unfortunately, was not. Although the dining room wasn't full and only a few tables were occupied in the winter garden, the service team (two people) was under a lot of stress. The drinks took a very long time to arrive, and the beer (pilsner and dark beer) was still warm. When I asked if she had any control over this, the waitress gave me the succinct reply: "That's just how it comes out of the tap." I sent it back, but it was still on the bill. Oh well! It all fits with the five open positions in the restaurant. Among other things, they're looking for a restaurant manager. It's noticeable...

After being turned away by two restaurants, we came here. We received a very friendly welcome. Excellent gourmet cuisine with generous portions, perfect for days when you want to treat yourself. The Sarti Sprizz and Sandorn Sprizz were excellent. The meat and fish were spot on. The liver was fantastic. The service staff, especially Heiko, were relaxed and courteous. We ate there twice last week during our stay at the same hotel. On the first evening, the lady was very friendly and attentive, but forgot the cucumber salad for dinner (unfortunately, we didn't realize it was part of the meal). Oh well, it can happen in a hurry, everyone understands ;-) We paid around €100 for two really well-made dishes plus a drink, which isn't exactly cheap, but what can you do? There aren't that many good restaurants here. On the second evening, the reception was quite cool and northern German, but the food was good again. The beer was clearly too warm, and when asked, the objection was clearly but firmly ignored... "It just comes out of the tap"... oh no... When I asked where the cucumber salad was from last time, the answer was: I wasn't there that evening... The service was different, along the lines of: You're not coming back anyway, so what do I care? It's not quite that simple! I'm also self-employed, and like many other restaurateurs and salespeople, I rely on good reviews. Apparently, they don't here. Okay, so we won't be back on our next visit, too bad. There was also quite a bit at the next table, but maybe the owners will write about that themselves... The ambiance is actually quite nice, but too much of a good thing. Conclusion: The food is excellent, with some minor reservations. Service could be improved (sometimes good, sometimes not so good, depending on the service staff), ambiance as described above. Unfortunately, therefore, the star deduction... PS: I'm far from trying to badmouth anyone or the location here! It's just not acceptable for all guests to always say "yes" to the question "Was everything OK?" even though it wasn't. I always address it immediately, but most restaurateurs are resistant to it... So that others can see this and implement it, I always give honest criticism!

Visit for a big birthday, highly recommended from start to finish! The food was perfect (three different dishes, two of which were vegetarian; three different desserts; all drinks were top quality). Every highest rating is appropriate here. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and recommend this great place to anyone who enjoys good gastronomy. Sanitary area exemplary!

Lots of room for improvement. The food was quite good, fish soup was tasty, beef tartare was, in my opinion, too finely chopped or minced and seasoned with ketchup. Panfish was okay, the plaice on one side was clearly overcooked for me, fried potatoes and salad were good. The ladies in service were hectic and the harsh tone behind the counter left you puzzled, but the young man in service was friendly. But why is the breakfast buffet already set up for the hotel guests in the same guest room while dinner is running...? Probably not a repeat, that's for sure.

From the friendly lady on the phone when making the reservation, to the welcome after entering the restaurant, the service, the food, to the farewell. I would particularly like to highlight the food. It's been a long time since I've eaten as well in Germany as I did that evening. The fish soup was so delicious that I would have liked to take some with me. We'll definitely come back. A real insider tip here in Lauterbach. We were here for the second time now. For Valentine's Day there was also a menu outside the menu. It was the same at Christmas time. I had the mayor's piece with Brussels sprouts and mashed celery and potato straw on top. The sauce was the sibling to the meat. A real poem. Great interaction 👍👍👍👍👍 The chef can really do something. Only my wife had desert and that was not only impressive but also added to the overall package and rounded off the great evening. Absolute recommendation 👍👍

Top gastronomy, we read the reviews beforehand and thought that was probably exaggerated praise... we were taught otherwise... it was really perfect, a great pleasure, we ate the menu and went back the next evening... nothing more is possible!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and makes a very upscale impression. The service, however, was subpar. I had asked if my food that I couldn't finish could be packed up, the waiter replied, I have to pack it up anyway, in very bad German, then another waitress came who then said it wasn't clear to them what should happen to the food. Yes, well then not possible to pack. The food itself was ok, some of the beef tips were very tough so I could hardly cut them. My husband's Wiener Schnitzel was just breading and the schnitzel was flattened far too thin. The fried potatoes are not seasoned, just plain on the plate. All in all it was worth the experience. But for the price I would have expected better quality.
