Update: On Thursday, August 28th, the three of us ate here again, this time, despite it being August, we preferred to eat inside. Clean, tidy, and well-ventilated. But most importantly, the food and the service :-): The chef, Tan, who has been there for years and, as usual, is solely responsible for everything, was super friendly. And what we had for dinner was truly a dream; you don't even get that in Vietnam: Even special requests were fulfilled. The food: 2 x the glass noodle salad with shrimp, the crispy duck in peanut sauce without rice as another small starter (that was the special request :-)), 2 x the Bun Thap Cam, a huge portion with extra rice, and 1 x the crispy chicken with red curry and rice. Everything was fresh, lots of herbs, beautifully decorated, and the taste couldn't be better. The meat was crispy, yet tender and juicy. The vegetables were crunchy, and everything was very clean. In summary: We felt very comfortable here again in this small but fine food stall, and you get a lot for little money. They've definitely won us back as formerly very loyal diners. We were there again yesterday, June 30th. Super delicious, the duck salad was crisp and fresh, the duck meat was juicy, fresh salad, lots of herbs, a large portion, just like it used to be. Also very clean and cool in the heat in the corner. And the chef is currently doing everything himself. Cooking, serving, and still very friendly. It's also affordable. We'll be back. ...we were there again after a few years. It used to be our second home, then, well, unfortunately. Now things actually seem to be looking up again. New tables, new chairs, a new umbrella, and new, very attractive dishes. The food is delicious again, but the friendliness, well, I don't have to bite into it :-) We had the water spinach with crispy chicken and the large sweet and sour soup with extra rice. Both were good, but the price of €2 for a small bowl of rice is simply outrageous. Conclusion: It's okay! Back in the day, and by that, I mean years ago!, this was once a great place to eat authentic Vietnamese food. Update: Yesterday, June 9, 2023, I tried it again after a long time: The chef himself cooked. Ambience: Pretty messy outside, but in Vietnam, you probably wouldn't mind if you were sitting in one of the food stalls ;-) The food: New menu, a bit more expensive, but still reasonably priced by Munich standards. We had red curry with shrimp, two of the sweet and sour soups (large, with chicken) and extra rice, one of the salad with udon and tilapia fillet, kindly changed to rice noodles, and one of the Vietnamese spring rolls. The salad was crisp, the fish was very good and very well seasoned, and the sauce was very tasty, a bit reminiscent of the som tam sauce in Thailand. The red curry was excellent, and the soups were delicious, with lots of meat. Unfortunately, the highlight was the rice we ordered separately. €2 for a small bowl is pretty steep. But: we paid €56 for all four, plus one apple juice spritzer and one non-alcoholic beer. That's more than fair considering the freshly prepared food. Conclusion: We'll gladly come back. Not anymore! Greasy, hardly any vegetable selection, sparse decor. Sitting outside is a disgrace due to the ancient and newly added pigeon droppings. No COVID-19 measures in place, as people are seated at every table :-( What a shame, a real shame, about this once unique little restaurant.

The Mi Vit- crispy duck and wonton noodle soup were an absolute banger of a meal, it was a pleasure to eat and it gave me much joy.

I've been a regular guest and regular customer for 15 years. Unfortunately, I can't agree at all with the review of "Gulbadem Halidun" that the portions have changed, or more precisely, that they've gotten smaller. The prices were raised after 13 years, more than justified, but I still think they're more than fair! Loved it!! We’ve been trying Asian food around the city and that was hands down my favorite ! Super quick, great service, amazing flavors.

Feels like 25% less than before We have been getting delicious food here regularly for over 10 years. Unfortunately, the portions have shrunk a lot recently, we even find up to 25%. It's a shame that you can hardly get enough from a main course these days.

Best Asian take-out spot in Maxvorstadt, also nice outside in summer. Always quick and tasty, it's open longer than the rest in the area.

We were at "Ha Noi" today and very irritated. I ordered a "Japanese ramen soup" and instead received a strange mixture of a stretched Chinese instant soup (!) and a few pieces of zucchini. In response to my complaint, after some discussion, I was offered a replacement dish. I got fatty rice with egg - also of poor quality, but at least not a cheap ready-made soup. However, the second big thing came with the bill: I had to pay for both dishes. After all, that's how the soup would always be made there. They probably missed telling me that I had to pay twice. When I finally paid for all the stuff, the service only gave me the remaining money after I strongly requested it. Conclusion: Never again! Anyone who orders here must expect to be served the cheapest ready-made meal as “home-cooked” and anyone who complains will still have to pay. I find it a bit strange that in addition to the numerous 1-star reviews, there are always downright enthusiastic top reviews.

Really honest Vietnamese, cheap and with some tasty classics on the menu. The service takes some getting used to, but I love Hanoi :-)

Since the Viethaus a few meters away is on vacation, I thought I'd try my favorite dish somewhere else. Unfortunately the duck with oyster sauce was a complete failure. It didn't taste like anything and made me gag for a moment. Unfortunately the food ended up in the bin because it was inedible. Service was ok, I only ordered take away. Sitting inside is rather uncomfortable, but not bad outside in summer. But you'd better get the burrito from next door or order straight from the viethaus.

The restaurant is one of our regular lunch stops. It's nice to sit in front of the restaurant, especially in summer temperatures. In my opinion the food tastes good and I have never been disappointed. Most of the time the fried rice or chicken in chili sauce is eaten. The service is usually quick and friendly, but it can take longer if there is a lot of traffic. Value for money is very good here, especially at lunchtime. The boss is unique and always up for fun. In the summer you can sit outside here.

I was there with my sister and 2 friends. Had duck and chicken. Unfortunately, we had severe stomach pain and nausea after eating. You must have had a bad day.

Very tasty and the chef is super nice!

We ordered spring rolls, crispy duck with peanut sauce and fried beef with Thai curry sauce. The beef according to my friend tasted good. Everything else was really bad. The spring rolls smelled so disgusting that my friend didn't even eat them. Maybe the meat in there smelled so disgusting, or the other things? Yes, you'll never find out. The duck smelled good, but the meat was definitely old, was quite hard and tasted strange. And after I discovered beef in my peanut sauce, I didn't eat anything after that because I don't eat beef. The lady probably just used a wooden spoon for everything, or who knows what! About an hour after eating I had a stomach ache that only got better the next day. Would never go there again. Not recommended!

My favourite restaurant in Munich! Not too expensive and the food is great. The cook is a vietnamese man so seems to know what he’s doing.

Since the new service came in, I've been enjoying eating there again. The penultimate barman here was notorious for his unfriendly manner and his successor also tried to emulate him in this regard. The food is still cheap and plentiful, that's why it's four stars and because you're finally treated kindly here, there's a 5th star on top.

Sometimes the food is very good, sometimes very mediocre. It depends on your form on the day. It's a shame, because we really like eating Vietnamese food.

Das Essen dort ist super für den Preis. Wer mal wieder MSG-Mangel hat, der ist da sehr gut aufgehoben. Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall sehr authentisch!

The food quality is different by the chef

Ich habe Entenfleisch mit Erdnusssauce bestellt. Sehr lecker 🤤 Fleisch knusprig und well done. Nur bar kann man zahlen, die Kellnerin war sehr net. Der koch witzig aber der weiß was er macht:) Ich gebe 4 nur weil der Tisch sauberer sein könnte aber man sitzt auch irgendwie direkt auf der Straße :)

Wahnsinnig authentisch und lecker!

Ich bin seit Jahren immer mal wieder im Bistro Hanoi und finde das Essen super. Es schmeckt eigentlich immer gut und wird frisch vor den Augen der Gäste zubereitet. Klare Empfehlung meinerseits ist die "Bun Thap Cam", die ich so oft wie keine andere Suppe gegessen habe. Das Ambiente ist meiner Meinung nach typisch Vietnamesisch und auch der Außenbereich ist gemütlich ausgebaut worden. Das Essen wird schnell zubereitet und auch der Koch ist sehr sympathisch. Ich hoffe, das Bistro bleibt noch einige Jahre so wie es ist.

Zur warmen Jahreszeit kann man gut im Freien sitzen und essen, dann find ich es hier gut. Im Winter ist es im kleinen Restaurant kalt, küchenfeucht und unbequem. Ist aber auch ein Schnellrestaurant. Manchmal schmeckt es, manchmal naja. Sehenswert ist der Koch! So wie er agiert. Irgendwie scheint mir die speisekarte verkürzt? Viell wegen Winterzeit?

Der beste gebratene Reis mit Gemüse und Shrimps den ich kenne!

Geheimtipp! Essen wird zügig und liebevoll von dem freundlichen, aufmerksamen Koch zubereitet und ist äußerst schmackhaft. Immer wieder einen Besuch wert.

Nummer 45 for life! So frische und gute Suppe kriegt man fast nirgends, Schärfe passt perfekt und alle sind immer super nett. Ich ess hier richtig gern!

Richtig leckere authentische vietnamesische Garküche - ohne Geschmacksverstärker!

Früher fand ich ihn echt stark. Hat schon sehr nachgelassen. Portionem sind kleiner und das hähnchenfleisch ziemlich zäh. Zudem war das Gericht sehr ölig.

Der kleine asiatische Laden an der Ecke wirkt auf dem ersten Blick unscheinheilich. Es ist gut und preislich auch in Ordnung. Als ich jedoch eine extra Sauce wollte verlangte er drei Euro mehr obwohl das ganze Gericht nur fünf Euro kostete. Da könnte man durch aus mal den Kunden Wunsch nachgehen.

Ich hatte Glasnudeln mit Gemüse und Ente sehr sehr lecker, meine Begleitung eine Suppe die auch sehr gut war. Am Anfang war der Chef etwas kurz angebunden zum Schluss haben wir Scherze gemacht und Glückskekse bekommen. Danke nochmal.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

volle Zustimmung dem vorherigen Bewerter! Danke, dass das endlich einmal jemand schreibt. Auch wir besuchen diesen Imbiss seit Jahren, aber in den letzten Monaten ist das Essen teilweise eine einzige Zumutung. Der Rindfleischsalat, früher eine regelrechte Geschmacksexplosion, tot. Kein Geschmack, das Fleisch wie Leder und leicht ranzig, kaum Nudeln und billigstes Gemüse. Gerichte mit Garnelen, früher gab es die großen mit Schale, heute klein, ohne Schale, verkümmert und wässrig im Geschmack, kosten mittlerweile schon 10,90€, aber die Anzahl der Garnelen ist ein Witz. Dann werden total unterschiedliche Portionsgrößen an den Tisch gebracht, so dass man sich teilweise fragt, habe ich jetzt eine Kinderportion zum günstigen Preis bekommen, was sich dann aber bei der Bezahlung schnell als Trugschluss herausstellt. Dass jetzt eine "optische" Aufwertung durch Abschleifen der verklebten Tische, ein riesiges neues Schild am Laden mit "HANOI", und eine neue Fotospeisekarte vorgenommen wurde, soll wohl eine baldige nochmalige Erhöhung der Preise rechtfertigen. Aber wenn sich die Qualität und der Geschmack des Essens nicht ganz schnell wieder bessert und zu alter Stärke findet, dann werden die neuen Lokale rundherum ( Slurp, Saigon Quan etc. ) bald aus allen Nähten platzen und Hanoi dagegen leer stehen.

Bis vor kurzen ein top geheim Tipp für authentische Küche. Jetzt ich weiß nicht ob man es noch als genießbar bezeichnen kann. Glas Nudelsalat mit Schrimps: Ein Klumpen zusammen geklebter Glas Nudeln auf dem Teller Boden. Darüber einige Salat Blätter geriebene Karotten und Gurken ohne Soße und zwei winzige Schrimps. Rindfleisch mit Gemüse: Rindfleisch zäh wie Leder,wässrige Sauce total verkochtes Gemüse. Knusprige Ente mit Basilikum: Scharfe wässrige Tomatensoße mit ebenfalls total verkochtem Gemüse und einer winzigen Spur Basilikum. Schon vor einigen Wochen waren wir sehr enttäuscht. Aber das gestern Abend schlägt dem Fass den Boden aus. Nie mehr wieder

Das Ha Noi in der Schellingstraße ist ein sehr brauchbarer Imbiss, der nebenbei auch sehr gutes Münchner Bier im Angebot hat. Das Essen ist hervorragend, der Service schnell. Die Portionen hätten für meinen Geschmack etwas größer sein können, da bin ich von anderen asiatischen Schnellimbissen schon etwas mehr gewöhnt. Bei gutem Wetter kann man auch draußen sitzen - das ist sehr angenehm.

Die Karte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Speisen werden sehr frisch zubereitet und sind durch die Bahn lecker. Mein Favorit ist die Reisnudelkaltschale mit viel frischen Kräutern, Rindfleisch und Salat.

Das Essen ist wirklich nicht schlecht. Wenn man ein paar Sachen ausprobiert hat findet man sein Lieblingsgericht. Der Biergarten lädt zum bleiben ein, was im Sommer eine Empfehlung ist. Sonst kann man das Essen auch mitnehmen. Die Preise sind für München vollkommen in Ordnung. Leider ist der Geschmack nicht ganz wie erwartet, daher ein Punkt Abzug. Es schmeckt ein bisschen verbrannt und ich kann mir nicht ganz erklären weshalb. Ansonsten kann man da auch ruhig öfter hingehen oder sich was mitnehmen.

Zu fairen Preisen bist du hier dem streetfood in Vietnam oder Thailand näher als sonstwo in der Stadt. Authentisch und gut. Tolle Frühlingsrollen und gute fried-Varianten. Meist gute Curries. Tolle Suppen.

Quick, fresh, spicy vermicelli, - low budget, not much more to say, ended up here with a friend for those reasons.

Ich bin hier schon einige Male gewesen, um Essen mit nach Hause zu nehmen. Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet und ok. Mehr nicht. Man wird satt. --- Doch da ist hier nicht mein Thema, sondern diese Unhöflichkeit. Denn so unfreundlich wie hier bin ich noch nie in der Gastronomie behandelt worden. Unfreundlich trifft es nicht - es ist die totale Ignoranz. Selbst Blickkontakt wird vermieden. Der junge Mann, der jetzt die Bestellungen entgegennimmt ist noch viel viel unhöflicher als der Mann, der da früher den Gast angegrummelt hat. Kein Guten Tag wird erwidert - kein Auf Wiedersehen. Dazwischen ist man nur lästig.

Essen unterste Grotte, Service gehört zum Unfreundlichsten, was ich je erlebt habe. Warum soll ich mir mit der Bewertung mehr Mühe geben als Ihr? Wie so eine Buchte überlebt ist mir ein absolutes Rätsel!!

quelle magnifique surprise, ce minuscule restaurant vietnamien qui ne paie pas de mine. Seuls, on l'aurait probablement pas choisi mais c'est grâce à nos amis que nous avons pu déguster un de meilleurs repas vietnamien mangé en Europe. L’arôme caché dans la soupe Pho m'a laissée sans voix, j'ai fermé les yeux et me suis imaginée à Hanoi. Très bonnes nouilles sautées, ainsi que le Bun Bo. Je pourrais juste 'reprocher' le manque d'herbes fraiches servies en accompagnement mais au final ça n'a pas tellement dérangé. Prix très très bas.

Fettig, geschmacksbefreit, unfreundlich und überteuert es gäbe noch ein paar andere Bezeichnungen aber es würde beleidigend werden. Bitte nichts essen.

Ich war lange Jahre in Asien und dort bei Hà Nội schmeckt es immer sehr authentisch und sehr gut! Kleine überschaubare Karte ! Preis:Leistung sehr gut! Sehr freundlicher Service

Jedes Gericht wird frisch im Wok zubereitet. Gemüse knackig, die Curries ein Gedicht, besonders die knusprige Ente in Erdnuss Currie. Leider wenig Plätze innen ( bitte Geruch ignorieren, dafür bekommt man leckerstes Garküchen Essen ) .. Im Sommer draussen schön im Schatten und dann auch kein Bratgeruch in den Klamotten:)).. Der kleine Vietnamese ist preislich und auch von der Größe der Portionen wohl in München noch ein Geheimtipp....

... It's fine to go there. The food is not horrible (even though I can only judge the vegetarian bits) and you kinda get what you see/pay. There are worse Vietnamese restaurant but there are better, too! BUT you should only go there if you don't mind smelling like food for a while after your visit as the stove is basically right next to the tables!

Munich is an expensive city, so a restaurant like this is a great find! We were lucky to get a table as it's very small (they do have outside seating and take away too). The food was delicious, you see it being prepared in front of you, and the prices are excellent.

Very good food but terrible service. The waiter or owner has not tried to be friendly at all. It reminds me a bit of the Food Nazi from Seinfeld. However the food is that good that I am tolerating his terrible attitude and service.

We dropped in for a quick evening meal of roast chicken with coconut milk and chilli with excellent rice. The decor is best viewed from outside and there is ample seating for such a small establishment. Parking needs imagination, we circled the block until we found an empty space, it is best visited on foot. No menu in English, you need to understand German but surely if you off the beaten track in Munich, you should be able to order a meal? The red-curry chicken with coconut milk is particulary good and very reasonable price.

I live just around the corner and while it's not the cheapest Viet place in the area, I could say it's one of the best. I recommend any of the crispy duck (knusprige ente) dishes, particularly the one with lemongrass, basil and chili (they don't hold back on the scharf!) or the one with peanut sauce. Service could be better - the old guy I see in the afternoon/evening is almost always stern and snooty and the place is not so fancy but, hey, I've been to more posh and more stylish Asian places and the food isn't half as good as in this greasy spoon.

We had a delicious meal of freshly cooked, succulent and very tasty Vietnamese food at this new restaurant. Only open for 8 months, the choice is extensive, service excellent and food is full of flavours. We had duck, beef and prawns (served in a coconut) and a range of starters. Topped off with banana fritters and Vietnamese coffee. Excellent!
