We spontaneously stopped by for the breakfast buffet on a Saturday (2 adults, 1 toddler) and got a seat without a reservation. The breakfast buffet is quite extensive, offering everything you could possibly need for breakfast, from bread, pretzels, rolls, croissants, muesli, yogurt, white sausages, pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, and a few cold salads. The price-performance ratio of €16.30, including a small glass of orange juice, is very good, and children under 6 eat free. There are also plenty of highchairs, and children are given a small plastic cup, which is very convenient. We found the breakfast to be really good and can recommend it for families.

Unfortunately, there was no breakfast option on Sundays. A buffet was mandatory. It cost €22.50 per person, and included only a tiny orange juice. Other drinks and coffee had to be paid for separately. The coffee was small and not particularly hot. Almost no fresh fruit, just a sliced ​​pineapple and a fruit salad that didn't particularly impress me. The table wasn't set. You had to get everything yourself. Napkins, cutlery, not even salt and pepper were available at the table. You had to hunt for those, too. For the price, I expect better service! I won't go there again. I don't recommend it.

Thanks to the Blues Festival at Rotkreuzplatz, we spent several hours on the terrace at Alex, enjoying everything from cappuccino and cake to dinner and dessert. Everything we ate and drank was of good quality. We had the same waiter, Ernaldo, the entire time, who, despite the busyness, always served us and everyone around us in a friendly, courteous, and prompt manner. It was wonderful!

After waiting 20 minutes for the waiter to serve us, we simply got up and went to another restaurant.

I’m kind of forced to come here once a month, and every time something goes wrong. Sometimes they even serve cocktails that aren’t filled to the top. 4. They round up the bill without asking.

I was there with friends today, and the food was 10/10, with plenty of choice and everything. But the best part was the waiters. Everyone was incredibly kind and even played Happy Birthday music for us and sang along for a friend. I absolutely loved it, and everyone felt very comfortable. She walked past our table several times without even making eye contact or asking if we wanted anything else or if everything was okay. Our politeness ("Thank you!") never received a friendly response. The overall tone was very brusque and unprofessional – it makes you feel completely unwelcome as a guest. What makes matters worse: The quality of the food has declined significantly. The portions were much smaller than before, the food seemed poorly presented, and the taste was disappointing. Value for money? Disastrous. We used to go there often, but after this visit, we knew for sure: We won't be back. Such disrespectful and careless treatment of guests is unacceptable. It's a real shame!

The portion size has decreased, and the service, well, was poorly served. I'll be attaching pictures. The first picture was taken in December 2024. The second one was taken recently. Recently, sweet potato fries... as if they were from the day before yesterday. So, it's okay to have a drink, but I won't be eating there again anytime soon. The few servers are doing their best.

We visited many times to Alex, for brunch and evening meal. Food wise it is excellent. ⭐️ But once experienced super arrogant and rude staff member. We reserved for 7 person, but at the end we had +2 persons, we politely requested if it is possible to get a bigger table. The staff member waved his hands out of rudeness and commented to other staff member, that “Tell them to go outside and wait.” So other staff member instantly intervened and arranged another bigger table, which was anyhow not reserved(Thanks to him). The same rude waiter took out our orders and didn’t serve food for one person till the end, even after reminding twice. Later gave an excuse that “he forgot to serve and food became cold, so he decided not to serve”. It was unacceptable. Super unfriendly, rude and incompetent staff member(one specific staff member). After that experience we decided to think twice before visiting there again.

I find this place absolutely outrageous. I paid €49 for brunch for two people. Normally, breakfast brunch costs €16.50. Since it's Sunday, you have to pay €8 more per person!!! Hot drinks are not included. While there is a wide selection, nothing unusual is offered. So realistically, this buffet with a hot drink is only worth €12. Ridiculous. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Just like all other ALEX in Munich, there is a relaxed atmosphere, the cuisine is international, there is something for every taste, the preparation and presentation is very good, and the desserts are delicious 😀 When the weather is good, there are numerous outdoor seats, and you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of Rotkreuzplatz.

Were there at lunchtime on a sunny bridge day... If I'm not interested in my job as a waiter, I should probably look for something else! I don't have to take my bad mood out on the guests!! The food was poor quality, the toilets were horrible and there wasn't even a hint of service!! Everyone understands if it takes a little longer on a day when there is a lot going on. But for the prices that are quoted, you should at least show a certain basic quality and a certain basic service! A little tip for the waiters there: If you smile and are friendly despite a stressful day, you'll get (more) tips! I would recommend everyone to make a beeline for Alex at Rotkreuzplatz! If you want to go to an Alex, take it in Pasing! The two restaurants are a difference like night and day.

Went to brunch today and waited at the entrance for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I turned to the theme manager and politely said that we had already been waiting 10 minutes at the entrance for our reserved table. The lady said then wait another 10 minutes and the waiter would take care of them. Just cheeky. The waiter who served us was nice and polite. I ordered a large coffee, it was just milk I had to order more. Later I asked at the counter whether there was a disabled toilet, the answer was yes in the basement. Please, how am I supposed to get down the stairs with a wheelchair. The lady saw that I was in a wheelchair. I felt very hurt when I was perceived like that. Me and my 5 guests will definitely avoid the restaurant in the future. The restaurant is not barrier-free. Unfriendly staff, no consideration for people with severe disabilities. Towel dryer inconvenient on the door, it's annoying to dry when the door opens.

I'm amazed at the enthusiasm. The breakfast buffet is average. Sausage and cheese are average goods and you can buy this quality at the nearest discount store. The display is not regularly replenished and then the 2 or 3 slices of cheese lie around for 20 minutes. At the same time, the products are repeated every time in the display. Always the same. No variation or anything new. The staff at the counter (February 21, 2025) are actively discussing events/experiences with colleagues, etc. The waitresses don't show up (4 in number) and prefer to stand at the counter and wait for one drink after the other to be prepared. Even though we were only 2 meters away, we waited almost 5 minutes for eye contact. We just wanted to order a cafe and cappuccino. Ultimately, I had to interrupt the exciting conversation between the four waitresses with a “Excuse me, we would have liked to order something more.” There was something about the looks from all the staff. In my opinion, the store is totally overrated for the price range: quality and staff are average. You won't see me again any time soon.
