I was at Chio Bella recently and it was wonderful. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff are really nice. The pizza was really delicious and the service was first class. I would recommend the restaurant to you every day.

Good Italian near the Messe Munich and fast service.

Dear Sir or Madam, I'm giving this restaurant one star because the service was rude, the table wasn't clean, and the 0.4 liter blackcurrant spritzer cost €5.90, and the glass was scratched and diluted. The next drink, a Sarti Lemon, cost €8.90. The problem was that they skimped on the alcohol and instead added more ice, which was unpalatable due to the cold, with the straw. So, I don't recommend it.

Service looks different. And as soon as trade fair guests or Arabs arrive, you're completely written off. Then they become so rude that you feel like they want to get rid of you. They just slam things down on your table. And they do it with such a disparaging expression that you actually want to leave right away. I've never been to a restaurant where, after you've paid, the waiter didn't wish you a nice day or something similar. They just turn around and leave. We were appalled. They treat their guests with double standards. I don't think we'll subject ourselves to that again. There's much better in the Riem Arcades.

People, don't go there!!! Better go to the McDonald's across the street... Last night I was out for a walk and spontaneously went into Ciao Bella... It was a mistake!!! I waited 15 minutes until the waiters even realized I was sitting there...then I waited forever for my drink...I waited 40 minutes for the carbonara...They simply forgot about me! Then I ordered another pizza, and as you can see in the photo, the pizza was burnt and the carbonara looked like nothing! The taste was mediocre and not worth a visit. Really nothing special! Normally, you shouldn't wait longer than 20 minutes for your food, and the waiters should approach new customers after a short time! And when I didn't tip, of course, you should have seen the dirty look the waitress gave me 😂👎 I wish I had gone to McDonald's instead...then I would have saved myself money and stress.

My family and I visited the Ciao Bella restaurant, which presents itself as an Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and reflected neither a true Italian atmosphere nor authentic flavors. The menu was predominantly in Italian and German, with little English, making ordering difficult, especially since many dishes weren't clearly explained. The menu seemed like it wasn't a priority in the restaurant. The management consists of two people, an Iranian and a Moroccan, while the chefs are of different nationalities. This inconsistent management was evident in dishes that were far from authentic Italian flavors. The mushroom pizza our child chose was almost burnt and very hard, which is untypical for an Italian pizza. The toppings seemed of inferior quality, and the Margherita pizza was similarly disappointing. The bread was not fresh but reheated, and the salads were too sour, suggesting they weren't prepared the same day. The pizza wasn't sliced as ordered, despite the availability of a slicer. We had to cut ourselves, which indicates a lack of organization. The service was unprofessional and impatient. Task allocation was chaotic, and employees often shifted responsibility among themselves. We could hear employees arguing and blaming each other for tasks while working, which is a clear sign of disorganization and poor management. One notable incident occurred when a guest at a neighboring table changed his drink because he didn't like it. The employee brought him a different drink and asked, visibly impatient, "Why didn't you order that from the beginning?" The guest replied, "Because I didn't like the taste." Such a reaction is unprofessional and completely inappropriate. I ordered a cappuccino for myself, which was served far too hot and contained a floe of ice cubes in the glass, which is completely unusual and disappointing. Alcoholic drinks were also overfilled with ice, which severely diluted the taste. Overall, despite multiple visits, we were very disappointed and will not return to this restaurant. We strongly recommend that management take this criticism seriously, improve the quality of the food, optimize the organization and service, and provide professional training to the staff. Customers in Munich deserve better experiences in this highly competitive restaurant industry.

When i asked the waiter (can we order the food) he literally made a move with his hands as ( calm down and wait ) he was sad and angry and the food was not good and the overall is jot up to any standards The restaurant management need to consider the well being of the employees maybe And everyone should know how ti treat the customers

We ate there today and left €100 there. From the very beginning, we were served extremely unfriendly by "Ilias." WHEN we received an answer or a question, it was incredibly tense and condescending. His gestures were also quite disrespectful. He kept us sitting for ages, even though there was absolutely nothing going on. Instead, he stood there grimly or paced back and forth. For the leftover pasta, which we couldn't finish and would have liked to take with us, he slammed a green plastic bag down on the table! We then left everything because such expensive pasta can't be put in a plastic bag!! When I confronted him about all this, he became even more unfriendly and rude to boot. Anyone can have a bad day. But this is unacceptable. There's a limit to everything! We leave a lot of money, and then we get treated like this. The portions were pleasantly large but barely seasoned. But that's a matter of taste and can be changed if you've been given something to add seasoning. Instead, we got the shaker ourselves. Simply abysmal!!

Not recommended! You can forget about pizza, just tomato sauce, barely any cheese, three small pieces of shredded ham, and such a thin base that you wonder how they can roll it out so thin. Service isn't even worth a star; please/thank you aren't really a word. The interior, especially the chairs, are so worn, stained like crazy, it's enough to make you shudder. My only complaints: - napkins as thin as toilet paper, - knives blunt, - menu worn. The good location lured us into this wrong visit. And most importantly, we didn't enjoy it either.

The food quality is ok, but portions become smaller and smaller and prices higher and higher. Service just does not exist. You have to ask to bring you a menu, to accept an order, nothing done proactively by a waiter. When you pay by card they propose you to pay 7%, 14% or 21% tips. Just for nothing.

Chaotic and unfriendly. Pizza was cold. There were two of us on Saturday because of the trade fair, and everyone was under stress and pressure. (Unfortunately, that was the last time on Saturday, we won't be back) We were regular customers.

Service has deteriorated considerably...we were not served well, the food was cold...as regular customers you expect more friendliness...we were ignored (because there were two of us??) Not recommended. When it's busy, they can't get anything done normally.

We arrived with two people and asked for a table. There were empty tables, but at that moment there wasn't room for two people. There are large tables and two people, fine, annoying, but understandable. Then I asked if it was possible to sit inside, to which I was told I had to wait, and the group behind me was spoken to first. Okay...annoying, but fine, they want to fill the large table. Asking a second time meant I had to wait again for another group that had just arrived. Sorry, but the service was very rude, unfriendly, and poor. We ended up eating somewhere else.

Really nice service! The food was also completely satisfactory. It's really lovely here. It's especially nice to sit outside in the summer.

Unfortunately, the food isn't of the highest quality, and the wait times for food are far too long. If this restaurant weren't located at the trade fair, it would have to close with such poor service, but unfortunately, it has enough regular customers. Never again!

Had to wait a very long time for the food and the quality was not good🤦🏻‍♂️ They should be aware that a large area requires a large kitchen and enough number of staff members to give appropriate service.

It's gotten worse over the last 4-5 years. But this time I want to share it! I ordered a red wine, a glass of tap water, and a very rare steak. The competent waitress noted it and passed it on to the kitchen. The red wine arrived warm (like it had been in the sun for 30-45 minutes), and the meat was as hot as the sole of my shoe, with NO flavor. I left 80% of the meat... I was still hungry, of course, so I ordered Spec ham with mozzarella. They brought me half a cherry tomato with the mozzarella cut into quarters, three arugula leaves, and a few slices of speck... Total: €61.50 Including a glass of tap water: €3.90. The bread I didn't eat, €4.90... I recommend ordering food from the Novotel across the street; they don't disappoint.

I quickly picked up some delicious pizzas from the Novotel next door. Friendly staff and fast service. Certainly not the best pizza, but very good.

We ate there the day before yesterday. Our first impression was positive – the ambiance was inviting and the service friendly, if not particularly competent. There was a lack of clarity: At times, we felt like we'd been forgotten, and important information wasn't shared with us. Due to the trade fair, there was only a reduced, one-page menu. We ordered penne all'arrabbiata and grilled calamari. The pasta was okay, but spicy and lacking in flavor – I've seen much more flavorful pasta. The calamari was unfortunately disappointing: heavily seasoned and barely edible. We only took a few bites and sent the dish back. Instead, we ordered penne all'arrabbiata again, because at least you can't go wrong with that. When paying, we were confused: we were told that we still had to pay for the calamari, but the pasta was "on the house." When we asked, we were told we could have chosen a similar dish for the same price – but we weren't told this beforehand. Only after repeatedly asking why we should pay for something we'd barely touched did the waitress say she'd have to pay out of her own pocket. From our perspective, this isn't our problem—we weren't adequately informed beforehand. Overall, a rather disappointing experience with friendly, but seemingly overwhelmed service. Communication was patchy, and the food, unfortunately, was only mediocre. There's definitely room for improvement.

Avoid at all costs. Horrible service utter chaos. They had us waiting for almost 2 hours, then asked us to reorder as the order was "lost" staff ignore you. Manager tells you to please go sit and don't disturb.

The restaurant is a bit dated. The bruschetta bread was already blackened around the edges and rock hard. It was unpalatable. The Al Arabiata is far too spicy for European palates. It was simply spicy, far from tasty. Points go to the ever-attentive waiter.

It is very close to the fair and I recommend it to those who want to taste classic Italian flavors.

I recently spent a wonderful evening at this restaurant and would like to share my experience. As soon as I entered I was warmly greeted. I would particularly like to mention the Turkish waiter, who was exceptionally friendly, attentive and accommodating. His warm manner and honest smile made the evening even more pleasant - you immediately felt welcome. The ambience of the restaurant was also very appealing: stylishly furnished, clean and with a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. The food was also a pleasure – freshly prepared, lovingly prepared and tasted excellent.

The food was really tasty and our main course was served on time. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive - high praise for that. Unfortunately, our evening was completely ruined by poor service from another waitress. We asked her to bring our dessert but apparently she never passed on the order. After 20 minutes of waiting there was still nothing - no information, no apology, nothing. This blonde waitress really ruined our evening. Very disappointing, especially after such a good start. Too bad!

A really nice Italian restaurant, a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the Riemarcaden. Service was attentive/friendly, we were picked up and seated at the door quickly. The ambience is good, the open kitchen behind the counter exudes flair. We ordered 1x starter, 2x pizzas, 1x pasta. Unfortunately, the taste of the food was disappointing - not seasoned enough, bland, not satisfactory. A lot of salting and balsamic vinegar improved the whole thing a bit. Unfortunately it wasn't a taste experience

I often order Hawaii Pizza here, but the quality of the Pizza I bring home is getting worse and worse. The grilled Pizza is burned black on the bottom and there's almost nothing on the top. The quality is getting worse and worse.

Ciao Bella Every time I come to Messe Munich for an exhibition, I eat at this Italian restaurant and we love it. Go straight from Messe West metro station towards Riem Arcaden Shopping Mall and you will see Ciao Bella. I personally ate at electronica München for the first time in 2006 and fell in love with the food here. Until now, I still think it is delicious Italian food. Today, we set up our stall and came here to dine. We ordered Spaghetti Frutti di Mare, Spaghetti ai Gamberoni, Minestrone, Aperol Sprizz, and Orangensaft. I especially like his Spaghetti ai Gamberoni, which is full of cheese. It's so delicious. Looking forward to visiting again next time.

!!! Please read!!! The food in this restaurant is really good. We had a lasagne, a salad and drinks. Everything is great! Now to the points of criticism: When we came into the store, a friendly gentleman seated us at a spacious window seat. A little later the actual waitress came and sat us a few meters away in a small niche with a view of the fuse box. No reason, but so far so good. She brought us the cards and came back a few seconds later ready to take the order. Unfortunately, the whole thing isn't really friendly, which doesn't really fit with the ambience of the restaurant. We looked around the rest of the restaurant and discovered nicer tables with lots of tablecloths near the toilet. Of course, we later asked why we couldn't have sat there and no real answer came back. Unfortunately, the toilets are also very dirty and, like the service, don't match the rest of the restaurant. As mentioned at the beginning, the food is really, really good, but when we paid, the service wasn't very friendly either and responded to the tip with an unfriendly thank you and actually threw the card terminal at us. If you're reading this, dear waitress: I worked in service myself and noticed that you get more tips if you're friendly to customers. I know it's not always easy, especially in an 8 hour shift.

Very bad service.. the food is basic.. Soup is served cold & the carpaccio comes straight from the freezer, drinks took a very long time, and the waiter did not come for another drink. When we got the food we were not given any cutlery, we found some cutlery at other tables.. The three of us were there yesterday and our different pizzas tasted very, very good. We were served by a very friendly woman with a small piercing in her cheek (thanks for your smile and your attention). Pizza good but bill wrong. Tiramisu included in the bill. Instead of an apology and possibly a goodie, only money back for tiramisu and a rather angry reaction. We don't feel sorry for anyone.

On October 16th, I left my wallet after going to a restaurant. I had to go to Prague the next day and it opened at 11am. When I went the next day, the person working had changed. I left an email asking them to contact me when I found my wallet. As I was moving to Prague, I received an email saying that I had my wallet... I asked them to send me cash to their account, but they checked with my bank and said that foreign transfers are not possible. The account I gave them is that of a guide who lives locally... And they couldn't contact me, so they said they would return it. Did he change his mind? I think I should ask the German police for help. I can confirm that you have the wallet, but it's unfortunate that there is no way to receive it.

Very nice food, quick service, staff had *okay* English but that is to be expected as obviously it's not in an English country.

Visited a few weeks ago. Service was overwhelmed that day because the trade fair and only two people were on duty and the shop/open space was full. Had to wait a long time for the food which was no longer really hot. Lukewarm pasta doesn't taste as good. I would have received a meal earlier, but I hadn't ordered it twice. Perhaps more service staff should be shared, at least on trade fair days.

Sorry to say but I have given this restaurant 3 tries. The food is not good. I recommend walking just a few steps further into the mall where there are many dining options.

Basically, it is difficult to rate a restaurant like this at a time when staff shortages are the order of the day. I am aware of everything that nowadays means keeping a restaurant or franchise open every day and offering a certain quality, but there are certain things that have to be taken into account regardless of the staff and the person in charge had to see that. The menu is completely fine, there are no thousands of dishes, the prices are 1 to 3€ more expensive than average, the pizza was also good, the service was good, the espresso was excellent (5 points) The interior of the store is beautiful. What doesn't work at all: the sliding door of the toilet was always open and you could smell and sometimes hear the resulting smells. The urinals are so close to the toilet door that when a child/woman or whoever goes in or out, they have to watch what they are doing, which is a lot of minus points for that!!! What I also miss is simply the flair/character of an Italian restaurant, you are addressed with “Hola, gracias”, the waiter wanted to remove my water glass when it was still filled with water 🤯 regardless of the price 3.5€ (0.2cl) you don't do that. Overall, if you look at the Munich gastronomy level, “Ciao bella” is quite ok for me for a quick pizza, nothing more. There is still a lot of room for improvement.

The food is delicious, I think the portions are also good. The pizza was especially delicious! I think they go a little overboard at peak times, but in the end we have no reason to complain. We are happy to come another time, if life brings us!

Service and ambience ok for understaffed staff. Food standard.

So, first of all, no one felt responsible for giving us a place or reacting at all. We waited a while to even get our tickets and it definitely wasn't crowded when we arrived. The waiter reacted very negatively to the request not to have onions on the salad and when we asked whether it would be possible to put feta on the salad, the sentence was “we don't give, we only take”. And that wasn't a joke. I actually had no feta on my salad and no normal reason why. Half of our drinks were wrong and the bruschetta wasn't that tasty either. Wouldn't come here anymore.

The food may be very good per reviews..., but today we have got a really bad experience. While we were really hungry, thirsty and tired after a long trip from the US, we sit there and waited for a good 20 minutes without menus, without cutlery sets, without even an eye contact from the servers. Because I noticed that all the servers were very busy while the bartender wasn't, I approached to the bartender and asked him if I could have a couple of beers and carry them myself so we can start to drink. Then I was told I need to wait at my table. I said OK, thanked him, went back to our table and kept waiting. Then we noticed the people who came after us started to get food and drink and the servers still tried to avoid looking at us. I have to say that I was very polite and did not show any attitudes during the whole time as it was my first day of European vacation after all! So with some hesitation, we decided to quietly leave our table after 40-mintue wait without any service at all...

There were two of us here. My dish came practically immediately after ordering. After half an hour of complaining about where my friend's dish came from, I did indeed raise my voice slightly. After this, some kind of shady manager came to me together with the staff and practically abused me verbally. They shouted at us. We left immediately, but paid for the drinks. Fortunately, more people were not pleased with this and also left the tent. The people who work here may be very good at other things, but catering is not one of them. Hospitality is a talent and a calling that requires you to be of service! We were here together. My course came directly after we have ordered. The course from my boyfriend takes very long. After a half hour complaining, I have indeed raised my voice, because I was fed up with the lazy attitude. After that, Some weird manager showed up with the rest of the staff and verbally abused us. They were yelling very loud to us. We have left immediately after we pay for the drinks. Luckily more people in the restaurant didn't like this attitude from the staff and also left. The persons who work here, maybe do have a lot of talents, but working in a restaurant is not one of them. Working in a restaurant demands a lot of talent and it had to be your destiny. You have to provide a top-notch service and the customer is the one that pays your salary. I don't think these persons really understand that.

We had dinner there this evening - luckily we ignored the negative reviews. The young man who served us was extremely attentive and friendly from the start. The food and drinks were excellent and the service was absolutely top notch throughout the evening. We actually can't understand the negative reviews at all and can absolutely recommend the restaurant!

I've been there several times and received great service from the young waiter... but yesterday there was an older waiter on site and we weren't even looked at for half an hour... After two new guests came and they were served within a few minutes, we burst out Collar and we left... we then complained to the boss but without any response... luckily there are other good restaurants... very disappointing...

The foods are nice but if you pay much attention to the services, you may be disappointed. Some waiters charge you service fees while some don’t. It depends. If you don’t go having meal at rush hours, the services are better. Solution: enjoy your meal at non-rush hours. And as for the tipping, my experiences of going there for 3 times. I got only 1 time that they requested service charge. So, it varies based on who serves you.

We had dinner at this restaurant on 07/13/24 in the evening. A very nice woman served us; unfortunately, she didn’t see our badge. The service was excellent, everything was brought to us super quickly, every time she asked if we liked everything. We ordered salami pizza and pasta with vongole, everything was very tasty. Have been here and first time tried Italian pasta. Tried Penne speciale (chicken +mushroom) which is awesome in taste and quantity also ok. The staffs are cooperative and friendly. Good place to try Italian food - Pasta and Pizza.

Everything went wrong that could go wrong, pizza popped into the oven 3 times and still not good, the 3rd time you go there, every time it went wrong, you indicate this if you want to leave because it is so bad , you get the answer, why are you still coming?

Bad service, had the same pizza 3 times. Forgotten starters or mixed with main dishes even though everything was clearly indicated. Is treated rudely and stupidly. Manager was a pancake. Never again.

For the 4th time in a row they ruined my diner. All the courses came in random order. Mains/Sides all mixed. And on top they tried to scam us with a pizza. They used the same pizza 3 times on 3 occasions. They just put it back in the oven and try to hide the old ingredients. When we tried to say something about this way of gastronomy, they just asked: Why do you return here then? In short: Good food, Bad timing, Not able to coop with a little pressure and worst employees

First almost all our starters went wrong, we got our mains for a starter, later they just brought back our cold mains. What they served as a starter! So we left.

Every time the family is in the Riem Arkaden, we eat there. We never had any reason to complain. The service is also great! Taste was very good and the portions were quite large. We always enjoy coming back.

A “small birthday present” for the host was a small portion of tiramisu, but for the hefty price of 17 euros. No invoice was possible for this either.

Catastrophe... The service is rude and forgets half of the order. The dishes are prepared listlessly and the noodles don't look appetizing at all. Unfortunately not recommended!!!

We ordered a pizza. At the same time there was an order for 80 pizzas. All 80 other pizzas were made first instead of ours first? Why? So we had to wait 1 hour for 1 pizza margarita...

Unfortunately not even worth one star. We sat down outside, it wasn't really full but the staff were running around and busy, so much so that we weren't noticed at all until we finally got fed up and left. When we got up, a waiter came up to us and asked what we wanted to drink, apparently only then did we notice. Absolutely unacceptable. We don't wait half an hour and then order like it's nothing. Very bad service, low quality food, bad experience….

Here you can enjoy the best warm antipasti I have discovered in Munich. Simply divine. Not so common in an Italian restaurant anymore, fantastically beautiful Italian ❤️ music. The waiters exude charm and friendliness. A must to have experienced it.

I was just having dinner with my wife when we were lucky enough to be served by a young, friendly waiter. Very attentive and very customer friendly Tip Top!!

The food was very good, the service was outstanding. We sat with the whole family in the back area at the glass door and our waiter was very helpful, quick and personable.

This is my 3rd visit. Pasta and pizza are all delicious. It's a great place to eat near the exhibition hall.

Actually good food, but unfortunately always bad service. The highlight this time was when we were turned away at the door over an hour before closing time, even though there were more than enough tables available. Apparently there weren't enough staff to be able to serve us in time for the end of the day... not particularly business-minded! Ciao Bella……
