My wife ordered steak and I ordered mushroom pizza. Bread, pepperoni sauce and garlic sauce came first. The bread was a bit too salty. The meat was tough and served with potatoes and arugula. The pizza edges were very dry, impossible to eat, taste was average. I would not recommend it unless you are in a difficult situation.

The pizza and risotto were delicious and offered good value for money. The waiter was absolutely taciturn and grumpy. He slammed the dishes down without a word. It's a shame – good food also needs a pleasant atmosphere.

Very well located, within walking distance of Stachus and Sendlinger Tor. In summer, you can sit outside in a pleasant and quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff, delicious pizzas. Prices are really reasonable for Munich. The tables are close together, so it can be quite noisy when it's busy.

Unfortunately, it was too impersonal. It was like an assembly line. I was glad they didn't seat the next person at the table right in our laps. We had to pay together, which the waiter found too time-consuming. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. The seats in the middle row were rather uncomfortable, very noisy, and difficult to have a conversation. The waiter's sense of humor is a matter of taste!

Unfortunately, very disappointing! The ambiance is nice and the pasta is tasty (compared to the pizza) – but the arrogant service ruins everything! First, the wrong drinks were brought, then things were forgotten… since there were many empty tables, he couldn't have been so stressed that this would happen. Before we had even finished our drinks, our glasses were taken away and we were told that a table was needed. Absolutely outrageous! What a shame.

La Veccia Masseria, A Piece of Italy in the Heart of the City 🍝🇮🇹. Upon entering the restaurant, you feel as if you're stepping into a trattoria in Tuscany. The warm lighting, the Mediterranean music in the background, and the aroma of fresh herbs and pizza from the oven immediately create a cozy atmosphere. The service is warm and attentive – you can tell the passion that goes into their work. The waiter recommended the house wine, a full-bodied Chianti, which paired perfectly with the dishes. For starters, we had bruschetta al pomodoro – crispy, fresh, and simply heavenly. The homemade tagliatelle al tartufo was a real highlight: wonderfully al dente, with a creamy truffle sauce that you won't soon forget. The "Tartufo" pizza was also impressive, with its thin, crispy crust and fresh ingredients. To finish, of course, there was tiramisu, which was fluffy, light, and simply perfect—exactly as you'd expect. The restaurant's prices are absolutely fair for the quality you get. You can feel the love for Italian cuisine in every detail. Conclusion: An all-around successful culinary experience! Perfect for a romantic dinner, a get-together with friends, or simply to bring a piece of Italy home with you. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5 stars)

This was my second time here. The overall quality and quantity of the food declined significantly. The wine had strong off-flavors—I couldn't finish it. The pasta didn't really taste good (I can make it better myself), and the meat dish was way too salty. The vitello tonnato was barely better than a packaged version from the supermarket. Only the tiramisu was really good. Regardless of the price, there are many Italian restaurants that are significantly better quality. I'm very disappointed and won't be returning. Out of politeness, I didn't complain and still left a 5% tip. The waiter apparently thought this was too low and seemed dissatisfied—he said at least 7% would be appropriate.

We were insulted by the waiter. We waited 30 minutes for our table. Our reservation was at 8 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., we still didn't have a table. It's a shame and unprofessional. It's unfortunate for the place, but the owner should have reacted better. This is unacceptable.

It's basically my regular Italian restaurant, even though I'm only in Munich once or twice a year. *** Very good Italian restaurant in Munich, the 32cm pizzas are large and delicious, and the prices are fair. A lovely visit! The Vecchia Masseria creates a cool ambiance, even at lunchtime, with its special interior. You're greeted in classic Italian style at the entrance and shown to a table. The staff strives for relaxed, personal interaction, which is simply part of the experience. The food was extremely delicious and tasted truly Italian. We'll be back.

Non-Aryans shouldn’t even bother trying to get into this place. My wife and I attempted to eat here last night and made reservations. We were refused service, apparently due to racism, from both the proprietor’s and the patrons. I am of European decent, my wife Asian. Upon arrival we were ignored by the host while German speaking people behind us were sat. Then one of the patrons walked by and openly laughed in my face, to which I replied, “Lady, what am I doing wrong? If I’m doing some thing wrong, come back here and tell me what it is so I can stop doing it.”. The host then immediately acknowledged us and attempted to seat us at a table, but the man sitting at the next table refused to allow us to sit next to him. Eventually he found a table where the neighbors would allow us to sit, but at that point we felt thoroughly unwelcome and a good deal unsafe, so we felt we had to leave and make alternative arrangements for dinner.

This isn’t the place for minorities/interracial couples. Upon arriving with a reservation from OpenTable, the waiters were rude and ignored us/refused to seat my husband (italian) and me(Filipino-Chinese). They ignored us and helped the German group behind us without a reservation. The patrons laughed in our face like we were doing something wrong. They finally tried to seat us after getting upset and asking “what have we done wrong?”. Then the waiter had trouble finding a table because the patrons would block the chairs with their things or outright make statements that we were not welcome to sit next to them. It did not feel safe to be there and we felt that we had to leave.

We visited this pizzeria a number of years ago, sat outside on a warm night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our return visit in Sept. 2025 was a failure. Our waiter was condescending (no, we don’t speak German), and as a result the service was mediocre, much like the pizza he brought, and dropped on the table. Will not return.

Quaint little restaurant tucked away on a quiet street! Situated next to a garden and old building we sat outside and enjoyed a lovely and well priced meal.

Friendly and attentive service. The ambiance inside was far too warm, or rather too hot, too dark, and far too loud. The food itself, if you can even describe it positively, was lower-middle-class. Vitello tonnato, veal was dry and bland. The sauce tasted more like mayonnaise than tuna. The veal liver was burnt and overcooked. The potatoes were too firm. The chanterelle mushrooms were excellent! If you like oil-soaked dishes, this is the place for you. We won't be returning!

2 stars because the service was friendly and good. The ambiance isn't my thing. The small tables are filled with flowerpots of wilted flowers. At the tables for two, you sit so close together that you can hear the conversation at the next table, whether you want to or not... I had spaghetti with seafood. Unfortunately, it tasted like it smelled...totally fishy. The tomato sauce tasted like the ready-made sauce from the canned ravioli...not good. After 3 or 4 forkfuls, I left the rest. I still had to pay for the entire meal. A NO GO! I won't be eating here again and can't recommend it.

Such a great restaurant! Visited on a Wednesday. Fantastic food at really good prices. Only one star for the ambiance, as we unfortunately had to sit inside in the summer because it was raining a bit outside. It felt like 30°C inside, and the noise was unbearable! Next time we'll only go if we can sit outside in the beautiful garden.

Impossible service. I haven't experienced a more unfriendly waiter in years, one who only responds in an annoyed manner to a father's normal questions about children's meals – impossibly arrogant behavior – the ambiance might be quite nice. But I can't recommend this restaurant to any family; it's really, really bad. We've never eaten our pizza so quickly and luckily found something much friendlier around the corner. Service is characterized by friendly, empathetic behavior, but unfortunately, that was completely absent.

Good Italian restaurant, good first courses... the pizza is the crunchy one but it's fine anyway

The ambiance is great, especially in the garden, which is downright romantic. Just right for balmy summer evenings. The food was good; I can't complain about the taste. But I ordered vegetarian ravioli with cherry tomatoes, and there were no cherry tomatoes in the dish. I mentioned it to the waitress (I assume it was the chef) and all I heard was, "Yes, sorry, they forgot." Aha. After a few minutes, he came back with a bowl of halved cherry tomatoes and said, "We have a new chef; he forgot, sorry. Here are the tomatoes." Anyway. But I would have appreciated a free drink or something like that as compensation. My goddaughter's spaghetti was good, and her portion was significantly larger than mine. Aside from the missing tomatoes, I would have had to order an appetizer to fill me up.

Pleasant terrace. Decent quality Italian food.

It was a hot 31°C, so we ate on the balcony, where there were many seats in the shade of the trees. The staff were cheerful and even greeted us in Italian... The meal came with bread and salad, so it was a great deal. It seemed like the restaurant was frequented by many customers, and I knew some of them... It's a quiet restaurant located in a relaxing corner.

I only had one pizza, but it was really good. The service was excellent, too. The prices were reasonable. I'll be back to try some of the pasta dishes. I highly recommend it.

The food and the courtyard are truly great. But most of the waiters there are very unfriendly. This takes away all the joy of a visit to this Italian restaurant. You can tell they're not in the mood, and they take their anger out on the guests. Hospitality is unfortunately a foreign concept here. The people at the next table also told us that, unfortunately, it's always like this.

Super nice and cheap place, service is definitely lacking in many places, they are super good at keeping an eye on whether you need anything, from ordering to getting drinks and food, it doesn't take many minutes, really fast and attentive waiters. They live and breathe it, that's the feeling you get from being there, and finally you feel like giving a tip without regretting it afterwards. Nice place. And Italian :-)

Unfortunately, very disappointing. We were there for a birthday and were sadly disappointed across the board. The waiter made several inappropriate, sometimes racist, jokes – completely inappropriate and unpleasant. Then there were flies in our garlic oil – we complained, but there were flies in the second one as well. Our birthday cake, which we had brought with us, was simply placed on the table in its box without comment – no effort or friendliness at all. Conclusion: This was our last visit – we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Just waited at the entrance for about 5 minutes while the waiter and cook argued about something. The waiter deliberately ignored us—we were standing right in front of them, and they acted like we were invisible! Worst restaurant service ever. DO NOT come here!

Came in out of the wet and this place was a delight. Beautiful linguine and my wife's, who's gluten free was provided with amazing scampi, squid and a fresh salad. All done perfectly.

Unfortunately, a completely disappointing experience. We visited the restaurant for a special occasion – a birthday – and were severely disappointed on several levels. The waiter repeatedly made inappropriate and racist jokes throughout our visit, which we found absolutely unacceptable. Such attitudes have no place in the restaurant industry – or anywhere else. When we received the garlic oil, there were flies swimming in it. Upon our warning, a new oil was brought – but there was another fly in it. Unfortunately, hygiene doesn't seem to be a priority here. Last but not least, we brought a birthday cake. Instead of serving it beautifully arranged, the waiter placed it on our table in the closed cake box without comment – no effort or courtesy at all. Conclusion: We definitely won't be back and cannot recommend the restaurant in any way.

Fue un reto entender algunos ingredientes en un menú Italiano, escrito en Alemán, traducido al Inglés. El camarero fue muy servicial teniendo en cuenta la barrera del idioma (s). Me gustaría volver, especialmente si me alojaba en la zona. Esto está en una buena parte de la ciudad, a solo unas cuadras de una sección mucho más arenosa. No estaba seguro de qué esperar en el paseo, pero me encantó encontrar hermosas calles y edificios. No habría ido por ese camino si no fuera por hacer esta reserva para la cena. Se sentía más residencial y fuera de la pista turística.

This is an Italian restaurant with a lovely, peaceful terrace where you can sit comfortably in the summer! The food was definitely okay; the ravioli with truffle sauce, for example, was delicious! The pizza dough wasn't the best we've had, and the caprese salad could have been better. The service was okay, not super friendly, but not unfriendly either. All in all, definitely not bad!

Lovely Italian restaurant with seats in a courtyard near to the Hauptbahnhof. Had the beetroot gnocchi with cheese sauce and it was delicious. Not loads but some really nice sounding veggie options

A must book first. Popular spot. Service neat and our waiter top class. Food when busy can be a little slow but seated outside enjoying a weissbier who cares if you need to wait a bit. Pizza crispy and toppings not overdone but right up to the rim - the accompanying garlic and chillies sliced not mashed which was nice. Desserts also good, and if you prefer 1 type you can say so. Definitely recommend stopping here if you're tired of schnitzel or pork and potato dumplings.

Mediocre pizza and insects in the oil on the table. Really terrible service: not very nice Italian staff, they slammed things on the table to serve them, rudely... with an annoyed attitude, in general and fake friendliness. The only joke he made was vulgar and unpleasant, embarrassing. At the end he also insistently asked us for a tip saying that Italians should change their mentality and that here in Munich they usually give tips and there should be a percentage to pay. I feel sorry for the Germans who will have to deal with these people, but not all Italians are like that!

One of the rudest experiences i have had for very average pizza. They stuck us somewhere at the back and we had to wait 45 minutes for our order. We almost gave up and left. The waiter was very rude even while ordering and refused to remove a meat ingredient and give it as a veg pizza which most pizzerias are happy to do. We felt very unwelcome. We were very polite throughout and did not get the same respect back. Will never go back here and i do not recommend this place to internationals.

I can definitely recommend the restaurant "La Vecchia Masseria." It's within walking distance of the main train station and the city center. The dishes I ordered were excellent and very reasonably priced. I also really liked the restaurant's outdoor area, which is beautifully shady and sheltered. Ideal for hot summer days. One star deducted for the staff, although polite, seem very matter-of-fact. Overall, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

An unexpectedly beautiful, quiet beer garden nestled in a historic setting. Spiritual support is provided by the Mathildenstift monastery right next door.

I agree, this place is a gem. We sat in the open air beer garden ate, drank like Italian Royalty for under 80 euros including a nice tip. Incredible food. Unfortunately, eating out here isn't enjoyable! We'd rather stay home. A very nice restaurant, unfriendly service, pizza tastes of nothing—really nothing. Very loud and crowded! I don't need to dress up, look for a parking space, and go out to eat. Off to the supermarket, pick out the pizza, put it in the oven, and sit on the couch. I get more out of it that way :)

Oh well, today was nothing. The black olives in the Nizza salad were almost flavorless, and it felt like you were being kicked out if you didn't order anything else to drink for a few minutes when your glass was 1/8 full. I found it uncomfortable and inappropriate.

As an Italian, I can truly say that the place is a gem! Good food (Linguine ai gamberetti very well done), very reasonable prices and smiling people (really from Italy). Great combination, definitely coming back!
