Very good food and a very nice restaurant. The waitress was very friendly and funny. We had a great evening at La Ruota and would definitely go back.

Excellent!! I came back last night with friends. I found the place much better, the staff very kind, and the pizza was even better... delicious!! I highly recommend it.

A complete disaster: dirty tablecloths, raw mussels, and the Parma ham was dry and tasteless, as was the arugula. The service is abysmal and very unfriendly, and the prices are just as bad. I recommend that anyone who doesn't want to ruin their day not go here.

Dinner for a 90th birthday. The table was beautifully set. We were greeted very warmly and escorted to our table. The kitchen did a great job, serving us the finest Italian dishes. The service was consistently attentive and polite. The highlight was a dessert from the house with a tabletop firework display. Sensational. Thank you very much.

Absolute disaster! For €28, I got a pizza that tasted like nothing, and a ridiculously small portion of pasta. Last time, there were even burnt bits stuck to the pizza base – I thought it was just a slip-up, but no, apparently, that's normal here. The price-performance ratio is outrageous! It might have been good in the past, but now it's just a rip-off. Save your money and order somewhere else – you'll only be disappointed here.

I picked up a pizza for lunch. It went really well, and the pizzas were amazing! I can't rate the ambiance, as I only picked up and it was the middle of the day.

It used to be good, but it's gone downhill a lot. Disgraceful service, but good luck to you.

We came with our little one and a stroller; there was plenty of space. The lady said we could come in without the stroller, and that we should leave the stroller on the sidewalk and hold the baby in our arms. We've been there a dozen times and always returned, but unfortunately, we never will again. We were treated very rudely.

Very good Italian food, and the prices are absolutely reasonable for Munich. The pizzas were excellent, and the menu selection is also impressive. We'd love to come back here!

We ate here and after a short while, we were able to order drinks, which were promptly delivered. The waitress was very friendly and took our orders. We ordered pizza, and it was also served simultaneously to everyone in a reasonable amount of time. The taste was okay, pizza, after all. The cappuccino that followed was excellent. The ambiance was also perfectly fine. We'll definitely go back.

Italian restaurant good dishes pizza almost like in Italy... It's worth it

We went twice to this restaurant over the course of three months. Our first time there was excellent, absolutely everything was perfect. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and full of Italian humor. We simply loved it hence we came back again today. We were a little early around 5PM as we had a long travel ahead of us and still wanted to enjoy a good time. This time, the staff was different from last time. We asked politely if they were open (at 5pm) and the answer was “of course”. We proceeded to place our order with two pizzas and a salade. Perhaps it was the heat or slow afternoon but the staff didn’t seem at all interested and rather forced to work… if we asked something, it was as if we’d ask them to change the world, which was not the case… We asked if they had a box to take away the remaining half pizza. Again, it felt like we asked for something special. “No, we don’t have that” so they wrapped it in aluminium foil. Respectfully the kitchen produced two delicious pizzas and a fresh salade. Grazie. However, as Italians should know, a good meal also comes with a good atmosphere and service. None of that was provided today. This is a pity as we tend to go back to good places we enjoy and where we feel respected. To the manager of this place: please pick your servicing staff more carefully, also during the holiday period… they can make or break your restaurant’s reputation… and atmosphere. Grazie mille…

Absolutely disappointing – never again! I'd love to give it zero stars. I ordered directly from the website and after more than two hours, I still haven't received a delivery. On the phone, I was repeatedly put off with excuses – the driver was "almost here" or "already on the way." For over an hour, I was assured that the order was on its way, but I never received anything. And this, even though I live only about a five-minute drive away. Unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful to paying customers. Never again!

Definitely stop by I ordered the Regina pizza. I'm an old classic, dough, ketchup, cheese, ham and mushrooms. It was on my table in about 15 minutes. Divine, neither more nor less medium, neither too much nor too little cheese, ham, mushrooms, ketchup. Sorry, but I wouldn't eat at this restaurant again. We sat down and were quickly served drinks – okay, so far. However, we had to wait about an hour for three pizzas and three salads. Way too long, especially since other guests who arrived after us got their food much faster. The pizza wasn't great either: the cheese was way too thick, and there was hardly any tomato sauce. The crust was quite good and crispy, but that was it. I had specifically asked for some bacon on my pizza – instead, I was just given raw bacon strips. Sorry, but that was just abysmal.

Unfortunately, the pizzas were very bland and tasteless. There were four of us and we tried a variety… none of them were even remotely convincing. Overall, they were rather greasy, and the toppings weren't particularly high-quality or fresh. The staff were also very stressed and not particularly friendly. The price wasn't great either; it was significantly overpriced for the location and the quality.

The owner of this restaurant unfortunately has two faces, one which he puts on to attract and retain customers and then another very unfriendly one which has led to this restaurant losing long-standing customers. The food is not bad but it is unappetizing when someone thinks he has to act like that and raise his voice.

We really enjoy eating at La Ruota, but it's best to make a reservation in advance as it's always full. The setting is super nice, and the food is delicious.

I ordered two pizzas for delivery. It took about an hour. The food was practically cold. How can you do that, even though it's only 500 meters away as the crow flies? The toppings and crust of the "Pizza Napoli" were already separating. Everything was relatively tasteless, and the crust and edges were hard. The "Porcini and Salsicchia" pizza had sausage pieces of various sizes carelessly scattered across the pizza, and the mostly very large pieces of porcini mushrooms were simply slapped on top without being chopped up or distributed. Do I have to finish my pizza myself now? It's also hardly flavorful and unpleasantly cold and hard. You pay €30 for something like that, and you're just annoyed. I would have expected more from a "real" Italian restaurant. Taste, temperature, and preparation deserve a maximum of 1 star. Sad... Germany, after all – I've never had such a lousy pizza in Italy!

There were two of us without a reservation and we let them know that three more would be joining us in the next 10 minutes. That wasn't a problem either. But the waitress kept urging us to order something in advance. We told her the first time that we were waiting for the rest. We were alone in a separate area and she came in every minute and stared at us and walked over to us and then walked away again annoyed. She knew the rest wasn't there yet because the rest would have had to pass her by. And then she led a family in our compartment at the next table and gave them welcome Aperols on the house. Everything in front of us. I found this inequality very inappropriate and unprofessional. And the food was not recommended.

Last night we decided to order something here again after a long time. And that was once again a big mistake. The pizzas have lost a lot of flavor and toppings. The tomato sauce is from the prepackaged, the salami from the cheapest and the rest wasn't exactly of good quality either. I don't even want to start talking about the overpriced prices! We vowed never to order anything from Laim again, let alone set foot in there!!

I ordered via Lieferando because the app showed delivery time of around 25-30 minutes. 1.5 hours later still nothing. I called twice and was assured both times that the food was on the way and nothing arrived. When I was told that you should please adjust the delivery time, I was treated rudely over the phone.

The ambience is average, the service was okay, but the food was subpar. The pizza dough was on the level of a ready-made pizza, the spicy salami was a cheap product with a little spicy oil on it. Delicious Italian food for incredible prices. A local hang for sure. You can also pick up to take away or enjoy the terrace shade on a hot day.

Nice cozy restaurant with good food. Are here more often. Almost all of the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately, there is an older gentleman who likes to show his moods from time to time. Yesterday, for example, with us. Apparently he didn't like the fact that we just wanted something to drink. He then made us wait for a moment, which even surprised his colleagues. He paid almost no attention to our table the whole evening, so I always had to run to the front to place further orders with other colleagues. During the evening we also ordered something small to eat. When we wanted to pay, he put the bill and the EC payment device on the table and walked away, for whatever reason. When I held my card above it, as with almost all devices, the device couldn't read the card. Then he came and took my card and waved it around, basically it wouldn't work if I held it here and there and everywhere that didn't work. Ultimately it went through the display. This type alone is an absolute no-go. We still gave him a tip but the older gentleman was really unpleasant. And that doesn't work at all! That wasn't a good or pleasant evening in terms of service 👎🏼

We ordered via Lieferando. 2x pasta, 1 pizza, 1x tiramsiu and a cola. When I opened the lid of the Bolognese... there was already a smell of old minced meat... and after 2-3 forkfuls I couldn't eat any more... the Bolognese was just old and smelled so bad... but to top it all off... my daughter eats her beloved carbonarra and almost discovers a dead fly. Well, that really doesn't work! Never again!!! We don't dare eat the tiramisu anymore. The one star is only given because the pizza was good but otherwise…

We ordered three pizzas last week: 1- PECORINO, 2- VEGETARIANA, 3- SPINACIE GORGONZOLA. In general I can say that the amount of toppings is really small compared to all Italian pizzerias in Munich. The SPINACIE GORGONZOLA was better than the others, but still not overwhelming. I don't recommend them. I hope they can be more generous in the future, especially since their prices are not cheap.

I was in the restaurant several times, I decided to organize every two Sundays there, 15 to 20 people, because the waiter Mimmo was there and everything was really right with the world. When Mimmo was there, I brought 40 people to the restaurant every month. Mimmo is no longer there. All the waiters are super friendly, except for Franco, who is unfortunately always annoyed and stressed. This is the second time he has served us, I actually asked for someone else to come to us. The first time he even apologized, saying he was stressed. Yesterday we waited 1.5 hour, we were not allowed to get menus until everyone was there (this was not a wedding and the first thing that is done in a restaurant is to bring the menu, also because people have to know what they pay), after an hour we asked for bread because everyone was hungry, in the meantime two of them left... We were only allowed to get bread when there was food... in the end, after 1.5 hours we ordered may. They claimed that the place was full but all the tables were empty, they should see Tou Bakali....One goes and the other comes, three waiters, delivery...we never had a problem with Mimmo and I hope so that I can see him again soon. Those were the times, never waited, fast, always friendly and the joy that he communicated...in any case, this Franco and Vito, who proved Franco right in the end, are a no go and even if the food was very good is, we will go somewhere else. There are many restaurants, they have probably forgotten what happened during the pandemic. Of course, if we could have ordered, people could have spent more money! Thank God there are places like Alma & August, Potlasch, Bistro N. 2 (I bring over 100 people to Bistro every month, there are only two waitresses). We are always welcome there! No more La Ruota!

I had reserved a table a few days before. Since it was my girlfriend's birthday that day, I asked if it would be possible to organize a little something. (Flowers or candle on the table) Since we went on a weekend trip to Munich, I wasn't able to organize it myself. I was assured on the phone that this wouldn't be a problem. When we arrived at the restaurant, no one knew anything about a reservation. We were then seated at a table in the hallway to the next room. When I asked what had gone wrong and pointed out the birthday again, we were told that the reservation had been made by a colleague and was probably entered accidentally on the day of the call. But now you want to give your best. This best part is that they didn't even ask if everything fit. Our empty glasses were also ignored. The one star is for the food, which was very tasty. Nevertheless, we are disappointed with the evening and return to the hotel.

The seafood pizza is delicious. I recommend.

All in all a solid Italian. It's even open all day and at the weekend XD... that's something for Laim.

Wir können die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Bei unserm Aufenthalt waren wir mehrmals dort essen. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend die Reservierung hat problemlos geklappt. Die verschiedenen Pizzen waren durchgängig gut belegt und geschmacklich sehr gut. Auch die unterschiedlichen Nudelgerichte waren sehr gut, vor allem die Pasta aus dem Parmesanlaib mit Trüffel lohnt sich zu erwähnen. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis passt ebenfalls. Beim nächsten Besuch im München kommen wir sicher wieder in das Restaurant , dann sehen wir ja ob das Niveau gehalten wird.

Nice Italian restaurant. Nice food, excellent pizza. If anything, the bread of the bruschettas was too hard. Service, so, so. We had asked for two baby chairs in advance, but they weren't available. In the past we're going to this restaurant occasionally. We were often very satisfied. Now, I think, it is better to stay at home and cook or get a frozen pizza then you know what you are paying for. We live not very far from this restaurant, however, we opted this time for delivery. The ordering process online was quick and easy. The food was delivered hot. We had 2 pasta dished delivered. One dish was just about the right amount. The second container was not filled enough when comparing both containers. It felt like a joke. Cheap, cheap, cheap. The ingredients were the cheapest possible. When the eye skimmed the meal, the ham always popped out. The ham looked disgusting. Sauce was not enough, especially when looking at the pasta dish with bolognese ragout. There was hardly any. Any, lesson learnt. Won't be eating out for a while. Too expensive for what you get.

For me, “La Ruota” belongs to the “favorite Italian” category; here you are greeted with a handshake and always well served, even in everyday life for a quick lunch or when you pick up a pizza. Fine quality and a great dough, special requests (gluten-free etc.) are also taken into account. Simply great!

We were there 4 weeks ago and the four of us paid just over €200 for 4 main courses, 3 desserts and drinks. My rabbit was tough, the other 3 main courses looked okay, my husband's gnocchi tasted average. Our tiramisu was good, but my husband's Zuppa Inglese turned out to be a bee sting decorated with a heap of spray cream and some strawberry sauce or syrup. Impudence! Since our companion often eats there, I didn't want to open a barrel, but the store no longer sees us. For comparison: the day before yesterday the four of us ate a 4-course meal with an aperitif, 2 bottles of rosé, espresso and digestif in sensational quality on Balanstrasse for €216 - so there is another way! Conclusion: Nice service, nice location, food far too expensive for the quality.

Just delicious Italian food. The staff is kind and unique. This is a store that you can use everyday.

The food in general has been very poor. The pizzas used to be great. Today there are pickled peppers on the pizza instead of fresh peppers. And a pizza that actually only tastes sour, since the pepperoni also tastes like vinegar, is no longer a real treat. The covering has become noticeably more economical, but the price is significantly higher. The lunch menus are also a joke to say the least, but here too they are significantly overpriced. Unfortunately, the service isn't particularly good either. It's a shame, I've known La Ruota for several years. I can no longer recommend this restaurant. And we won't be going there any more soon.
