I was never there to eat but the mice at night are very cute

Wow.. Eataly does not fail to disappoint. The service is great, the food is incredible the atmosphere, being situated right next to Viktualienmarkt, is nice. I had the Calzone with Ricotta and Salame and it was perfectly cooked. The dough tasted great and was baked very nicely. The ricotta and salame together tasted fantastic. It went really well with some oilio piccante 😋

Happy little island of comfort food, which tastes amazing. We went twice for the pizza and other dishes and always left satisfied. Waiters seems a little tired but the end of the day, seems they cannot wait to leave home, which I get, but one simple smile never hurt nobody. But I feel like that’s a Bavarian thing ormai.

Compared to the Eatalys I've been to in three other countries, Eataly Munich is far behind. The service is very slow and unsuccessful compared to others, the food comes very late, the ventilation is problematic, you have to make an effort even to pay your bill. Anyway, let's not make it longer, the list continues with the negatives. The taste of the food is ordinary. Experience the Eataly experience at Zorlu Istanbul, then you will understand what I mean. If I come to Munich again, would I go again? No, I won't go.

Stay away from this place. Food was catastrophic. We ordered caeser salad and how much they could make wrong out of it! The worst food ever! Chicken was rubbery, undercooked and its consistency was as if it had been socked for hours in water, without any flavor. Bacon was burned and super hard. We could not eat the salad. The waiter did not even bother to ask why is the food not eaten and he just took the plates away. DO NOT go there.

We were there this evening, we had Ascoli olives, fried gnocco, ravioli and sliced ​​scottona, finishing with a tiramisu! EVERYTHING EXCELLENT!!! The real Italian experience, where you will be spoken with the very best rude Italian mannerisms. 🤌🏻 They seem to be delighted by ignoring the costumers, and they are always stressed and with a lot of work... just waiting to explode at any moment 🤯, somebody give them a break, or a spa day. 😂 It turns out that they can be nice when they come to take your request, specially when you ask for the bill, they smile and wait for the tip like a happy dog waiting for their treat 🐶 Recomend you to come with change if you don't want to give them tips, because they won't give you the change to your payment thinking you are tipping them. 💰 The food is good though. 🍝 We ate here twice, so I'm channelling the first experience in this coment. Turns out that the second day's waiter was way nicer. 😊

We ate at Eataly in the Rossopomodoro pizzeria section. By ordering two pizzas, specifically the Neapolitan one with buffalo mozzarella, San Marzano tomato, anchovies, olives, pesto and basil. Truly delicious!

You don't feel welcome. At the entrance we were ignored for a while until we were shown the area where we could sit down. We weren't asked for a long time if we wanted to order drinks. Then comes the pizza... partially burnt. We didn't like both pizzas this time, in contrast to previous visits. After the burnt pizza was half eaten, a waiter asked us if he should have the pizza remade. Maybe well-intentioned, but way too late.

Average Italian cuisine. Good alternative to local cuisine. Friendly staff and fast service even if there is a queue to access.

When we were there, the waitress put up a barrier right in front of us, when we asked if there was a table for two we were then sent to the table and we ordered pizza, 1 minute later there was apparently no pizza left and then we left, what a shame!

We ate pizza, it was delicious but a little expensive.

I struggled with myself for a long time and if I could I would give it 3.5 ☆, but definitely not 4 ☆. The benchmark is other food halls from Lisbon to Mallorca to southern Spain. What is striking about Eataly is that it is spread over 3 floors, which works rather poorly in the Schrannenhalle. When we visited on a Saturday lunchtime, the upper floor was not open and the wine shop on the lower floor was poorly attended. Here is the individual review: Ambiance 4☆ Location 4☆ Offer 3.5☆ Venchi ice cream/ pasticceria 4.5 ☆ Pizza (from previous visits) 4☆ Restaurant kitchen 2.5 ☆ Service 3 ☆ Price/performance 3.5 in general and in the restaurant (except pizza) 2☆ There were three of us there (all Italians or with Italian roots) and we spent a total of around €150 in the restaurant and then in the pasticceria/ice cream parlor. Because of its location near Viktualiemarkt, Eataly is probably designed primarily for tourists, many of whom come from Asia. The two older ladies with me ate an appetizer of a tomato/olive/squid mishmash that was served on a soggy foccacia. Result: almost inedible, at least for Italian palates. I bravely put everything on one card and had a large (?) fish platter for almost €36... but there was no fish on it, completely naked and without any side dish. To be fair, that's what it says on the menu: octopus, seppia and shrimp, but served as a children's portion that is perhaps a tad too large. The slightly tough grilled vegetables are also €8 extra. I was aware of this after carefully studying the menu. However, the result remained far below expectations. The seafood was undoubtedly fresh, but rather carelessly packed on the grill, almost unseasoned and the king prawns still contained the intestines. I immediately ordered the plate back to the kitchen. After 10-15 minutes he came back and at least visually nothing had changed except that everything was properly done. I then let the cook convince me that he had removed the intestines and you couldn't taste it anymore. However, he had overlooked a small remainder. We then ate and drank to combat our dissatisfaction with more glasses of wine (0.1 l for 7-12 €) and a bowl of mussels and were partially successful. The mussels were good. Conclusion: Even in top restaurants you can still get all sorts of things for just under €44 these days, including great culinary art. Here in the Eataly restaurant, apart from the freshness of the ingredients, there was nothing that couldn't have been done equally or better on the grill at home. Everything was done carelessly and didn't even show any signs of culinary art. To be fair, the pizzas I know from previous visits taste quite good. I can't comment on pasta dishes, but I suspect that they're okay. otherwise there would be less going on. The Piedmontese ice cream shop chain Venchi is probably well known to many. The Caffe Affogato with Venchie ice cream tasted good, as did a few sweet items that I ordered. Everything is self-service and you should be able to endure the waiting time when queuing with patience. There is ice cream in the front, coffee specialties and wonderfully sweet pastries in the back. A comparison with the recently visited "Time Out" food hall in Lisbon is difficult. Lisbon is clearly superior to Munich in terms of cuisine and so expectations are different. The makers of Eataly in Munich have obviously recognized this and probably think that the Munich resident who loves roast pork is otherwise rather inexperienced in terms of cuisine and the tourist from Asia is anyway. Instead of seizing the opportunity and developing gastronomic ambition, people prefer to sit back and not put in as much effort as the guests deserve. Too bad!

We had two drinks, two pizzas and two tiramisus. The food was very good 5/5. We waited more than half an hour before our order was taken, and had to ask for dessert.

Completely overpriced, the garden tables are a joke! 2 plates, 2 wine and a glass of water are already too much. Food was ok, unfortunately there are no onions and garlic here.

Can't recommend the place at all. Wine spritzer €12, homemade cola was undrinkable and a waiter wanted to withhold the remaining money from me after I paid. Ripping things off and selling them for fools is not possible. Never again.

I was here with my girlfriend. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time until someone came over to ask what we wanted to order. The two of us then only ordered an Aperol spritz, which was good based on the taste. Nobody came by later to ask if we wanted to order anything else or if everything was OK. It wasn't too crowded either. That surprised me a lot. We also had to wait what felt like an eternity to be able to pay. Later my friend bought snacks, pasta and sweets. Everything is simply overpriced. Unfortunately we had to wait in line to pay for everything, there were only two cash registers open. They would have to come up with something else. Hire more staff in the summer! The only positive thing was when we were in the basement to buy a bottle of wine and champagne, the saleswoman was very nice.

We spontaneously stopped at Eataly. For dinner we decided on the TAGLIATELLA CON RAGÙ ALLA BOLOGNESE and RUSTICHELLA DI POLLO DISOSSATA. The Bolognese is very fruity and that's about it for the positive side, the taste is boring. I'm completely at a loss for positive words for the other dish. A picture says more here. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio is not right here. The service was friendly and attentive with one or two hints. Conclusion: once and never again.

The Spritzeria serves delicious Spritz, but it is very expensive at €9. Prices are feasible as the location allows. The Italian waitresses are authentic. The outside area is rather small and often full.

The food was subpar and the entire family spent the next day on the toilet because of diarrhea. When paying, we noticed that the prices on the menu are net and not gross, which means that when you get your bill, it will be a lot higher even though it is already completely overpriced. Definitely an illegal procedure that should be investigated by an authority! Overall, it was the first and last time our family ate here. If I could I would give no star at all, but unfortunately that's not possible.

We had to wait a ridiculously long time before we could order and then it took a very long time for the food to arrive. Okay, it was busy, so we could understand that, but we got burnt pizzas, which we couldn't eat. The prices are way too high for this quality.

Mesh Wow restaurant. We tried tasteless pizza. The tomato sauce on the pizza was very bad. It had no flavour. The dough was bad and there was no cheese. I felt like eating dough with watery tomatoes. The prices were very expensive. A bad experience. The first and last time I visit a restaurant and I do not recommend spending money on it.

This review is not about the restaurant but about the market. I would like to share my experience with the cheese I brought from the Eataly market. The scamorza cheese is really not at all good.

La Pasticceria in Eataly has the best coffee in all of Munich - whether espresso, cappuccino or latte!

Location nice, the pizza and bruschetta were also good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waiter made us stand around in front of our table for 5 minutes because he "had" to put the place settings down first and since he was stressed and in a bad mood, he was also extremely unfriendly during the service. In addition, the truffle pasta was inedible and the Caesar salad was so-so... at least we were offered a coffee at the end for the long wait - but we didn't have the time (or desire) for it anymore.

It's incredibly warm, even though it's only ~20 degrees outside. Air conditioning broken? You just want to get out of there... food but a great selection.

Although the food is great every time I come the service is really slow, since there are so many tables and very little servers. I kinda dread coming here now, because I always have to wait and the servers can’t be found half of the time.

I used to love it here but the service is so horrendous and unkind by now. Tonight a waiter stopped me asking for salt by putting his finger in my face and walking away. There were 30-49 minutes between every visit from a server even after they made eye contact and noticed you in need of something. Worst service in Munich.

The food is average and very expensive! While we were sitting in the restaurant there was a fire in the kitchen. We got everyone out. We waited a long time for full food. do not recommend

Service absolutely not good. Were there for lunch. We sat down and were sent away again after 10 minutes because there was apparently a line where you had to stand in line for a seat. Then we went there - no queue. We were then taken to another table by the staff. 15 minutes later there was still no one there to bring us a menu. Then left without eating or ordering.

In terms of price, you definitely pay for the location if you consider the ingredients and quality/effort. The Aperol was very solid and tasty, but nothing more. The carbonara, I have to admit, has rarely if ever tasted anything like it. Rigatoni as a type of pasta is definitely the wrong choice, tagliatalle is clearly the better choice and I was able to change without any problems. Unfortunately, service was very poor, but seems to be a general problem. Therefore in total 4/5, because of the food and the central location 👍🏾

Atmosphere was good. Not hot or loud. Service was OK. The waiters were nice and all but the food took ages to make. We ordered two pizzas and it took them entire 50 minutes to make them! The pizzas weren't anything crazy. And then out of nowhere a mouse literally ran through the entire dining area. Being in the heart of Munich, the prices were still a little over the top. They don't even have proper Coca-Cola. In conclusion, only go there if you absolutely have to and you are hungry like a bear.

Very tasty desserts that are also available in “sample portions” so that you can try several things. Tastes great! We'll be happy to try out the dessert selection next time! It's just a shame that an hour before closing time we saw that some desserts ended up in the trash. The pizza slices are also very tasty, especially with ham and mozzarella (the pizza slices were cut in half especially for us to share, because one pizza slice fills up about one plate)

We always like to go shopping at Eataly and also eat a delicious pizza. Eataly offers a very large selection of Italian products, often including small tasting stands. The prices are a little higher, but we accept that in order to get selected fine Italian products. The restaurant also offers a good selection of Italian dishes. We have tried various pasta dishes and pizzas and have always been impressed.

Excellent pizza 😍very nice place and pleasant atmosphere. The staff is young, kind and helpful. I went with my daughter and we really appreciated the heart-shaped pizza ❤️. Highly recommended, we will definitely return to try more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sat down to eat and wasn't served. When we called for service we were told to sit somewhere else. Restaurant wasn't full. Pathetic service.

The food was delicious. However, the service was disastrous. It took them around 15 minutes once we were seated to bring our order. Then the food arrived untimely. The pizza that one of us ordered arrived 15 minutes before the ENTRANCE and the other main course. When 10 minutes had passed we asked about it and they didn't respond in a bad way. Something else, we ordered coke and they served us a variant without warning beforehand that was not very tasty. Finally, the atmosphere score is a two because they sat us in a semi-secluded place that seemed to be set up like a bathroom.

If you can't be in Rome, you can get a little Rome feeling here.

Just always nice here. Nice service, super tasty Aperol and a very good cheese sausage platter. Would love to come back. Is highly recommended in the evening, as you can really enjoy the evening sun for a very long time.

Impossible staff!!! First of all, thanks to the unfriendly and arrogant waiter who serves outside and is responsible for the tables! We were aggressive and nervous towards me and my girlfriend and also threw water on my cell phone and table and didn't even apologize properly and gave us a cloth! Had to wait a long time because of him and didn't want to give us a table because he closed outside at 6 p.m. I'll pass this on and don't recommend anyone to a shop that treats its customers like that! If you are in Munich and are looking for an authentic Italian culinary experience, you should definitely visit Eataly in the Schrannenhalle.

I have visited this place 3 times and unfortunately had to experience the horrible service all 3 times. The most recent occasion we just had to leave the place without ordering after taking more more than 20 minutes for a waiter to take our orders. Classical slow service where you need to wait to order, get the bill and even pay.

We were very excited to eat ice cream after seeing Eataly was open until 22. Once we went inside and got in line around 21:35, the lady in the counter told us and two others in the back of line to leave and that shop was closing, despite the fact that there was still 20 minutes until closure. We were told twice harshly to got out of line. We felt very humiliated and our night was ruined. I would have expected better treatment from such a renowned corporate.

Istanbul and Munich are both of the same quality. The pizzas we ate in Munich were delicious and the prices were average.

We had Sarti Spritz at Aperol 1919 Spritzeria located in Eataly.

I went to the Aperol Spritz Night with 2 friends, terrible event. Far too many guests, some of them weren't even given standing tables and had to stand in the aisle! The buffet was tiny for the amount of guests, you had to queue for up to 30 minutes to get food, the selection of food was also very poor, and everything was cold… There's no way we're going there again!

I can only rate the Malfy cocktail event here! The event itself was quite good and I have to say, the price-performance ratio is very good! For 36 euros you can choose between 6 cocktails and finger food! The bartender was great! Such a radiant man, you can tell that the job is fun! The other employees were all a bit cold and very busy taking photos or chatting! A pity! The food was extremely impractical, I would really recommend making the bread half the size, unfortunately the taste wasn't that good either. To all the people who complain about the very high prices, have you ever thought about how much the shop rent costs in this location and with the number of m2? So conclusion: overall quite good but clearly room for improvement

The places outside have a lot of small mosquitoes, but otherwise a nice location (on the side of the road) - centrally at the Viktualienmarkt. Unfortunately, service leaves a lot to be desired, we were only asked once for another drink and in the end there was a misunderstanding out of the blue. This caused waiter N. S. to insult us in Italian, while other service staff just watched and left us shocked. What a shame! The food and drinks basically convinced us.

When I'm in Munich, a visit to Eataly is a must for me. Here you are offered typical Italian cuisine in a typical Italian atmosphere and I have never been disappointed. Although it definitely doesn't hurt to know at least a few words of Italian, it makes communication with the staff a lot easier.

It was an authentic culinary experience that allowed me to taste Italian cuisine from miles away. Attentive and attentive staff throughout the meal. Excellent value for money.  I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone  looking for  a true Italian experience abroad
