I was there yesterday with my wife and I ordered fish soup up front but lamb didn't come after 15 minutes. Other waitress asked again. She said she would take care of it but that didn't happen. Fish without salad came 20 minutes later. I think it's a shame. Such a place has a good price ratio and is clean but the service needs to be improved!! mfg

We ate fish at Günays and were lucky enough to be served by Meriem - and what can I say: it's rare to see such a warm, attentive and sensitive waitress! I'm pregnant and she took incredibly loving care of me right from the start. She kept asking if everything was OK, if I was sure when I ordered, if the food was well done - just great! She even wanted to offer me a sample of the drink to make sure I could tolerate it. My husband and my girlfriend were also served in a very friendly and attentive manner. Meriem accommodated all of our requests without ever making us feel intrusive or overlooked. Service like this is worth its weight in gold! We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back.

Amazing experience. Really tasty fish, nice staff. A bit smaller than usual main dish size, but there are a salad and bread appetizers for free on top. Indoor is really comfy, but a bit warm, since the kitchen is open. Outdoors is the street close by, thus a bit louder potentially.

Das ist der unterste Schublade der Laden vorallem einige Mitarbeiter. Wir waren 3 Familien dort mit 3 Kindern mussten draußen warten weil es kein Platz zum Sitzen gab war ja auch kein Problem aber nach einer halben Stunde war es den Kindern kalt und sehr windig die Kids gingen rein mit dem Babywagen und standen wirklich nur in der Ecke mit meinem Mann was auch KEINESFALLS gestört hatte weder die Gäste noch die arrogante Servicedame. Da kam eine Servicemitarbeiterin und klagte dass sie angeblich kein Platz zum service hätte was hochkant eine Lüge war zudem sie auch SEHR unfreundlich war sie hat die Kinder Radikal rausschmeißen wollen weil sie die Platz nicht hätte. Sie meinte voll unfreundlich nimm die Kinder geht raus und wartet weiterhin draußen. Nach dieser arroganten Aussage wollte ich den Chef sprechen der Vorarbeiter war genauso unfreundlich und sagte solle er den Chef jetzt von zuhause bringen oder was. Aufeinmal sagte er er wäre der Chef obwohl er nur der Vorarbeiter war zudem kam die Dame vom Service schnell hinter mir her und hat angefangen zu erzählen was passiert war und der Vorarbeiter hat mir nicht einmal zugehört. Ich sagte dass ich den Vorfall in die Bewertung schreiben und das Geschehene erzählen werde wo ich dann gehen wollte kam der Vorarbeiter hinter mir her und AUFEINMAL entschuldigte er sich hintereinander ich hätte doch recht und sollte bitte platz nehmen und und und ich habe ihm aber gesagt dass er seiner Kollegin zugehört hat aber mir nicht und jetzt möchte ich ihm auch nicht zuhören und bin dann wieder raus aus dem unverschämten Laden also wer mit den Kids rausgeworfen oder angegafft werden möchte kann gerne hingehen!! Nachdem die das lesen werden die jetzt bestimmt auf die Scheinheiligen tun und die Gäste vorerst wieder gut behandeln nach einiger Zeit wird es wieder losgehen mit dem rauswurf NIE wieder GÜNAY'S FISCH!!!!

After the North Sea branch in Wiesbaden closed, it was my first port of call for delicious, freshly prepared fish dishes at fair prices. Friendly service. The store is always full. It's worth the wait.

Very unfriendly handling. We called before departure to ask whether it would be possible to order food at 9 p.m. We were told on the phone that we didn't have to stress and that we could even order until 9:14 p.m. When we arrived at the restaurant around 9:05 p.m. we were greeted with the words that the kitchen was already closed. And then the rather less friendly waitress quickly brushed me off and said goodbye with the words “Even if I wanted to help you, I can’t do anything about it.” Very disappointing and strange...

I love grilled sea bream and always take my friends, family and colleagues with me because I like the food at Gunay and want my loved ones to try great food there too. My girlfriend likes shrimp a la chef, my sister likes salmon steak, my colleague likes sea bass, etc. The fish soup is very tasty. Thank you Gunay family. 😊

I ordered an Ayran for dinner that was obviously expired and tasted disgustingly sour. It takes two brain cells to understand that a sour yogurt drink doesn't bode well. When I told the cashier, he laughed at me and said it was normal! It has to be that way! I offered him to drink from the bottle because no one would drink from it because I put the drink in the glass. I left the drink and still had to pay for it. I was really too stupid to argue with people...

The food was delicious. We each had a starter (fish soup, small salads) and two main courses each (sea bream with rice, shrimp salad and tuna steak with rice and salmon salad). Drinks included homemade lemonade and black tea. The prices were absolutely reasonable and in line with the quality of the food. The waitresses are all very nice and friendly. The waiting time was optimal. The ambience was okay and met expectations for the price segment. 4 stars until then. One star is missing because the homemade lemonade had a detergent-like taste (I actually know better homemade lemonades from other restaurants - for €4.50 (0.33l) I expected more). Conclusion: Delicious food at a good price, friendly service, no long waiting times. In-house lemonade not ideal.

Have been regular guests there for years. Unfortunately the quality and service has deteriorated greatly. Had dinner there yesterday. Unfortunately the fish was too well done and very fatty. Not for the first time. It's normal for things not to go smoothly, but in recent times this has become more common. Price performance is simply no longer right. We came from Bad Homburg today with my wife and 1.5 year old daughter to eat delicious fish, we came in - there were 2 tables free, a family on the third table also wanted to go out, but the waiter chased us outside and made us wait outside at a temperature of 4 degrees, we waited 10 minutes, no one came to us. This restaurant serves really authentic fish dishes. The sea bream was perfectly fried, deliciously seasoned and tasted very tasty. There were also delicious fried potatoes that also tasted fresh and crispy. Great praise must also be given to the service. Price and performance are absolutely right at Günays Fisch.

An absolute recommendation – perfect from A to Z! Our father wanted a nice meal in a fish restaurant for his birthday, and we chose Günay’s Fish in Wiesbaden. A decision that turned out to be an absolute stroke of luck! As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The entire restaurant was spotlessly clean, which made an excellent first impression. The service was not only attentive, but exceptionally friendly and accommodating - you could feel that real hospitality is being experienced here. The highlight was of course the food: it couldn't be fresher! Every bite was a pleasure, we were completely impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the perfect preparation. The delicate seasoning was particularly impressive, as it brought out the natural flavor of the fish wonderfully. Thanks to the family atmosphere and the warmth of the entire team, we had a thoroughly successful evening that our father and we will certainly remember for a long time. I've been here several times and always enjoy coming back. Fair prices for fair performance. Food always of consistent quality. Haven't been disappointed here yet. On weekends, in the evenings at peak times, it is very busy and you have to wait a while to get a seat. Lots of movement and lots of people in a small space. You won't find peace here. But you can definitely eat in a relaxed manner. Always my pleasure.

Günay Fisch offers an impressive selection of fresh fish, which is always prepared fresh and extremely tasty. I particularly recommend the tuna steak and the hamsi, which are among my favorites. Despite the often busy rush hour, which requires queuing outside the restaurant, the wait is absolutely worth it. The restaurant is a bit small, but the excellent fish dishes easily make up for it. The staff is always friendly, helpful and ensures a pleasant atmosphere. I've been there several times and haven't been disappointed each time. Absolutely recommended!

I wanted to take something home, the store was full, but I asked where I could order it. I was told right at the checkout. So I stood in line, 4-5 people in front of me paid and I was the last one. You can tell that they don't care about service because customers always come anyway, no matter how things go.

We've come to this point, on Ramadan this year in March we were sent away with six people in an unfriendly manner because the places were only reserved for Muslims who were celebrating the breaking of the fast. Imagine if we were to do that with our Muslim fellow citizens at Christmas or Easter - but there would be something going on... I never wanted to come here again, but since my girlfriend likes to eat here, we tried again this week. But that was the last time I entered this store. The waitresses are unprofessional and treat you as if you should be grateful to even be able to eat here. We are now going to the North Sea, we are welcome there and they are happy to take our money even during Ramadan!

When I lived in Wiesbaden, my sister and I always ate there. Today after about 2 years I was in Wiesbaden. What I really wanted to do in Wiesbaden was to eat there again. The food is served with a lot of love, plus the friendliness of the staff. Great attention is paid to cleanliness, wonderful atmosphere and suitable for any time of day and season. It was heavenly to be able to taste the same food again. Thank you very much for the delicious food.

When we arrived at the restaurant there was no staff to be seen so we sat at a table where there was a free table. We were sitting on a table for 2 people and when we saw that 2 tables had become available that could be pushed next to each other so that we could sit comfortably, we were disrespectfully pointed out by a disrespectful and unqualified gentleman (employee) that we couldn't move around without consultation. The boss would have forbidden him to have three people sitting at a table for four. We should please go back to the single table where only two people can sit and they simply put a third chair there. I made it clear to the disrespectful gentleman who works there that he should do his job and not be disrespectful and asked him to call his boss. He became very nervous, which other customers could also see. The boss wasn't there and called me "brother". I told him that I wasn't his brother but a customer and that he should be more respectful. I insisted on sitting on the 4th table to be comfortable. After 10 minutes, no one came to hand over the menu. I caught the disrespectful employee and asked for a menu, to which he simply replied that he would be there soon. I waited another 5 minutes and decided to get up and eat at another restaurant. I mean, if the boss doesn't need it to make money, you can give someone else the chance. Suddenly he came and tried to persuade me to stay there, so I got up and left. It's a real shame for such an incident, but such behavior is very unprofessional, disrespectful and brazen towards customers.

Der Fisch (Dorade und Scampis) machte einen eher trockenen und nicht sehr frischen Eindruck. Der Salat war frisch, die Saucen Fertigprodukte. Die Preise sind allerdings moderat. Insgesamt aber nicht unser Ding…

The best fish restaurant far and wide, we always drive 40km to enjoy great service and top quality

Das Essen ist ok - vergleichbar mit einer normalen Fastfoodkette die Fisch anbieten. Das Ambiente ist nicht gut. Man kann als Gast kein Tisch reservieren und muss mit Kleinkind knapp eine Stunde auf ein Tisch warten. Hinzu kommt dass das Personal nicht sehr freundlich ist - ein Personal von fünf war nett. Günay hat vielleicht einen Namen über die Jahre erhalten und macht mit langen Schlangen vor dem Laden bewusst aufmerksam auf sich, aber wird dem definitiv nicht gerecht.

The food is ok - comparable to a normal fast food chain that offers fish. The ambience is not good. As a guest you cannot reserve a table and you have to wait almost an hour for a table with a small child. In addition, the staff is not very friendly - a staff of five was nice. Günay may have acquired a name over the years and consciously draws attention to itself with long lines in front of the store, but it definitely doesn't do it justice.

They don't care about customer satisfaction because they think they are an established establishment anyway. After waiting for our food for a long time, they didn't feel the need to tell us that they forgot. We waited for a long time again, while everyone who came after us was eating, we were still waiting. When my wife reminded me again, the food they cooked in a hurry was not tasty because it was uncooked, which led to us getting there. It was our last visit and I don't recommend it to anyone.

A famous restaurant where you can enjoy fresh Turkish fish dishes cooked to perfection! Not only is the cooking amazing, but the price is also affordable to the average person, and the friendliness of the staff is the best secret ingredient! We will definitely revisit this equally wonderful store when we return to wonderful Wiesbaden.
