We haven't eaten this well in a long time. The filet steak and pelmeni were delicious, made with high-quality ingredients, and wonderfully prepared. Highly recommended! Reservations are recommended.

A fantastic place to enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere with fast, attentive, friendly, and charming service. There were four of us, and we were all delighted with the food, the location, and the incredibly friendly service. I highly recommend it, and we'll definitely be back.

Very poor quality meat. Pork fillet was very tough. The response after a complaint: "I should have ordered the medium filet..." "Thuringian dumplings" according to the menu are more like convenience dumplings. Prices are too high for such low-quality cuisine. The cook's demeanor should be greatly improved when dealing with customers. My recommendation: It's better not to go there and continue looking for another restaurant.

Upon arrival, we were told that we only had an hour to eat because they needed tables. The food was okay, but I had expected a bit more choice. The service was very rude and sharp.

Very delicious food, great service – you can feel the passion of the hosts. Authentic, very rustic ambiance. We had an appetizer, a main course, and very good wine. The beef carpaccio alone was a delight, not to mention the main courses. Keep it up!

It's a lovely, small, family-run restaurant that couldn't be prettier. Despite its small size, the menu features four different color depths. The food is freshly prepared and served with love. A restaurant steeped in history. Six of us dined at the restaurant one evening during our stay in Heiligenstadt. Be sure to make a reservation. The dark wood creates a wonderful atmosphere. Add to that the excellent service, and we felt very comfortable. The menu isn't very extensive, but the food was all exceptionally good. You could taste the craftsmanship and love of cooking here. If we're ever in the area again, we'll try to get a table again. Thanks for the wonderful evening!

Six of us gathered at the Sankt Martin for our final dinner after a few wonderful days in the region. The welcome and service were very friendly, the ambiance was rustic, and the food was fantastic. Every dish (starters, main courses, and desserts) was truly excellent. We felt very comfortable.

A wonderfully authentic and family-run inn awaited us, with friendly service and delicious food. We found the ambiance to be quaint and cozy. It's just a shame they don't accept card payments. A little tip: During the Christmas season, reserve the freshly roasted goose in advance.

A small, cozy restaurant and the ladies are exceptional servers

I invited my companion to dinner. The food was good. Only when I went to pay did I receive a handwritten list of numbers and EC card payment was not possible, the card reader was too expensive, I should go to the ATM and get cash. I didn't find that very hospitable and embarrassing towards my companion because I had to borrow the money from them because I don't like carrying cash around with me. I'd rather not write what else I think about it here.

Nettes Personal, Essen war toll, man sitzt gemütlich. Preis Leistung okay. Hatten sensationelle Lammfilets, Schweinelende auch super. Salat war eher kleine Portion, Dressing superlecker.

We visited the restaurant with 6 people, everyone was very satisfied with their dish. This is a very good achievement. The service was friendly and very attentive. I would be happy to visit the restaurant again, really recommended.

We ate there with 4 adults and two "noisy" children. Maybe it's not a children's and family restaurant, but we can't understand the many criticisms about the rude way children are treated. Pasta with butter or tomato sauce always works, the children enjoyed it, the other dishes were great, all in all very good. Keep it up!!!

The house salad dressing is not for everyone... not everyone will like the bread that comes with it. Overall not convincing... Lunch selection includes neither a steak nor a schnitzel. Some people (Saturday) left the location after studying the map. Dear Vera: This really could be better... Sorry

Today I was looking for good food with my wife and was provided with really delicious food and it was really quick and tasted better than my mom's 😁👍It's ten times better than in the Vitalpark and worth every cent!!! !! Please try it. People who cook with passion should also be rewarded!!!

Unfortunately not so intoxicating, eating too little meat, fried potatoes. Ice cream without alcohol couldn't be made, so I had to use something else. Service not exactly hospitable. Disappointing all around.

We were here on the way through on our bike trip and luckily stopped here for dinner. The service was very attentive, the decor was rustic and the food was wonderful: we were thrilled from the starter to the dessert.

Das Essen war gut, im Verhältnis zum Preis Leistung aber zu teuer. Ehr kleine Portionen, ich bin nicht satt geworden. Die Tomatensuppe bekommt man auf die Nudel wenn man Nudel mit Tomatensauce bestellt. Ehr unspektakulär. Müssen wir nicht unbedingt nochmal haben.

After a visit to the swimming pool yesterday, we (4 adults and 1 child) were looking for a restaurant for lunch. We found the Sankt Martin, a quaint, cozy traditional inn. We entered and asked for a free table. We were warmly greeted by the boss (?) and given a table. My 3-year-old grandson was also warmly welcomed. The children's meal was pasta with homemade tomato sauce, which was fine for us. Good selection of food and drinks in the menu. We decided on roast lamb or goose liver and were thrilled. We haven't eaten SO well in a restaurant for a long time! Big compliments to the kitchen. Everyone was happy. The only small irritation: when asked if we could pay by card, we received a curt "no". A short binding sentence would have been nice here. Afterwards I read on the homepage that only cash payment was accepted. Unusual these days, but why not...you just have to know beforehand. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be happy to stop there again.

Unfortunately I can only confirm the criticism expressed in the bad reviews. We had dinner at the inn with 4 adults and 2 children. The ambience is nice and the service was nice. Unfortunately, the same could not be said about the “personal cook”. When she came to our table, there wasn't even a greeting at first. We then wanted to order and asked if the children could just have pasta with parmesan, as there was no advertised children's dish on the menu. We were then told that we should take pasta with tomato sauce. When we asked if we could have the sauce separately as our children generally don't like tomato sauce, it wasn't possible. It was also not possible to get the pasta without butter, as it would have to be cooked and then dipped in butter. Aha... When we then asked if we could have the bruschetta with the main course because we didn't want to keep the children waiting too long, this wasn't possible either. For the main course we ordered “Pelmini” twice. We were told that we first had to see whether there would be two more “Pelmini” at all. We didn't get an answer, but we could guess when we received the right cutlery. Overall, the “personal cook” was very unfriendly, which was also reflected in her facial expressions and gestures. We felt like we were being treated condescendingly and that their seemingly increased stress level was being acted out on us as customers. The saying "The customer is king" was in no way felt here and one can only speak of a lack of professionalism here. If we had been consistent, we would have canceled the food, paid for the drinks and left. I'm annoyed we didn't do that. This is my first review of a restaurant (not that I haven't experienced bad restaurants before). But I have never experienced such an unfriendly manner from the owner of a restaurant that praises itself with "cooking delights". However, the way the owner deals with factual criticism, which I read here in the negative reviews, does not show that points that could be improved are being seriously reflected on.

We had made a reservation and were looking forward to a delicious meal in the really quaint restaurant. The service was very friendly, the landlady, who probably also prepared the food, was very condescending towards us when it came to our wishes - we still had 2 small children with us - and was very disinterested in the order in which the courses should be served not very cooperative. The prices for the food were slightly inflated.

The inn is characterized by its rustic cosiness and professional, loving service. Freshly prepared dishes that are simply delicious - and at very moderate prices for this quality. Please keep it up. Update from March 1, 2024 ...and again very satisfied! The beef carpacchio is super delicious. You first have to get the marinated side tomatoes right in late winter; The quality of the source of supply is crucial here! The main courses of lamb/princess beans/rösti and pasta with scampi are impeccable for this price range. The creme bruleé is honest. The open wines are pleasant (rosé and Tempranillo), as is the grappa. GLADLY AGAIN

Very nice and courteous service, the food was excellent and a very nice rustic atmosphere. Since we rarely go out, we needed a certain reason to visit this restaurant. Firstly, a voucher from our son and secondly, our forty-seventh wedding anniversary... All we can say is that we will definitely be back soon.

Unfortunately we were driven away by an extremely unfriendly landlady. We had reserved and had 2 children and a baby with us. When the baby hit his head after taking the table, we were told that the landlady couldn't handle such screaming today. The behavior was so unacceptable that even other guests left the establishment. I can't give a rating for the food. Ambience was quite pleasant.

Urige, gemütliche Gaststätte mit freundlichem Personal und leckerem Essen. Hier steckt Herzblut drin. Der Umgang mit den Gästen und Personal ist sehr herzlich. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl und möchte gern verweilen. Das Essen war frisch und sehr lecker! Wir können es zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Ich muss den Worten von Felix Trümper zustimmen,auch wir hatten die Leber für 17.90 € und waren enttäuscht.Zwei Salatblätter ,Miniapfelstücke und Johannisbeeren ,dann einige wenige Stücke Leber.Viel zu überteuert!Wir sind enttäuscht gewesenen.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant im Herzen von Heilbad Heiligenstadt. Es lohnt sich hier Essen zu gehen.

Ein gemütliches, uriges Ambiente mit rustikalem, nostalgischem Flair, das zum Verweilen einlädt. Die Gastronomie sehr gut, das Angebot stimmig und interessant. Ein reiches Weinangebot rundet das Gesamtbild ab.

Geschmacklich sehr gut. Speisekarte lässt leider manche Gerichte wie Schnitzel, Roulade etc…. offen. Das ist schade, da es eine sehr urige Gaststätte ist und passen würde. Trotzdem empfehlenswert.

Wir waren zu dritt. Jeder hatte ein anderes Pastagericht. Ich hatte Pelmeni. Am Ende auf die Frage ob es gut war, habe ich gesagt, dass es sehr lecker geschmeckt hat, aber viel zu wenig war. Ich bin nicht satt geworden. Als Antwort darauf bekam ich: Die sind ja auch handgemacht. Die Bedienung drehte sich um und ging. Es geht hierbei gar nicht um den Preis, sondern darum, dass die Portion für eine Hauptspeise einfach extrem klein war. Dann muss man ggf den Preis anheben und die Portion vergrößern. Für mich ist nichts schlimmer, als im Restaurant nicht satt zu werden. Die Teller der beiden anderen waren übrigens gut gefüllt.

Wo wir rein gekommen sind, habe ich Guten Abend gesagt und habe zuerst keine Antwort bekommen, erst ein paar Sekunden später, dann habe ich gefragt: "Haben sie ein Tisch für 2?" Dann hat mir die Kellnerin gesagt eigentlich nicht, haben dann doch einen bekommen. Im Internet steht, dass die Leber 14,90€ kostet draußen in der Karte 16,90€ und in der Karte in der Gaststätte 17,90€, dies hat zur Verwirrung geführt. Dann haben wir das Essen bekommen. Die Leber war noch nicht richtig durch, das Blut von der Leber hat man unten noch gesehen und für diesen Preis hätte ich mehr erwartet. Ich würde es nicht empfehlen.

Kann man einfach nur weiterempfehlen Es gibt nichts zu meckern Weiter so ....

Für Veganer ist das Essen hier leider sehr ungeeignet. Das einzige Gericht was ich essen konnte waren Süßkartoffelpommes. Die waren dafür jedoch ziemlich lecker. Also bitte mehr Vielfalt in den Speisen vor allem auch ohne tierische Inhaltsstoffe :) dann würde ich meine Rezension auch dementsprechend anpassen!

Der Laden wurde mir wärmstens empfohlen. Ich war aber auch nur einmal da. Insgesamt eine eher ernüchternde Erfahrung. Service ist ganz gut. Man muss nicht groß warten und der Umgangston ist freundlich. Ambiente muss man mögen. Irgendwas zwischen urig und rustikal, immerhin sauber und mich hat es nicht gestört, dass da jetzt kein Grünzeug auf den Tischen steht. Das Essen ist der wichtigste Punkt und da war ich schon ein bisschen was enttäuscht. Die Scholle war soweit okay, nur leider überhaupt nicht gewürzt und den Salzstreuer haben sie auch versteckt. Dazu drei gekochte Kartoffeln. Soße, Gemüse, Sonstewas: Fehlanzeige, Fehlanzeige, Fehlanzeige! Ich habe erst an die Nebentische geguckt ob Kai Pflaume da irgendwo mit seinem Kamerateam sitzt. 30 Euro mit Pilsette. Finde ich dafür ein bisschen happig.

Sehr angenehmes Personal und Ambiente. Das Essen wird mit Liebe zubereitet, serviert und schmecktfantastisch. Die Tradition der Lokalität ist allgegenwärtig und trägt dazu bei, dass man sich wohlfühlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Waren gestern Abend essen.Sehr gemütlich und einladend.Service freundlich,schnell und Sonderwünsche wurden gern entgegen genommen. Hatte Rindfleischsülze mit Bratkartoffeln. Sehr lecker allerdings habe ich einen Kretikpunkt.Meine Remoulade enthielt zwar super frische Frühlingszwiebeln,hat auch geschmeckt, aber sie war flüssig wie Sahnesoße.Das war mir bisher in der Form unbekannt.Würden trotzdem gern wieder kommen nur um zu sehen ob das besser geht.Sehr viel hausgemacht und ich freue mich in einem deutschen Restaurant gespeist zu haben.Ich habe es langsam satt nur noch italienische,griechische oder asiatische Restaurants zu besuchen.Deutsche Küche ist selten geworden.
