Grindhouse Burgers in Berlin

Burger was decent. Bottom bun was completely soaked through, literally turned to mush by the time the plate got to me. New age tiny plates are not convenient to eat messy food with. Staff seemed upset, I suppose they were understaffed for lunch. so the environment could have been more friendly and inviting. I'll probably go back at some point but I'm in no rush. The only real issue was the bun. It seems like one of the first things to consider when making a burger.

Burgers by themselves are really tasty, they could be bigger for sure,I have feeling that they became smaller, but it could be only my personal perception. But fries(default ones ) , wow , it’s really shameful to sell this kind of fries and this amount , it’s worse than average fries from corporate places.

It was delicious! Homemade mayonnaise is top 👍

Sitting here in the store right now. Burgers were ok but not really worth mentioning. The kids have been waiting 15 minutes for the fries that were forgotten... Once and never again.

The selection is okay, tastes good - it's great that all burgers are also available as a veggie version! The sides are a bit small, but you'll get full.

Took a travel all over Europe trip from the US and let me just say, the best burgers in all Europe and the US. We were fascinated with this place. To top it off, the atmosphere and service was amazing. Super friendly people.

Rate takeout order. Cheeseburger delicious, fries rather soft and the garlic mayo is a soup, super thin. What is something like that?

A nice burger joint with a simple menu, offering some interesting burgers with simple sides. The burger was good, although I did feel a bit too much emphasis on the toppings, which were very good but also made the patty somewhat redundant and unremarkable.

Continuously one of my favorite burgers in Berlin. Great food, good service and a nice place generally.

Unfortunately the food quality has deteriorated. Hamburger was asked well-done, but it was over cooked on the outside and pink in the inside.

Some days there is only unannounced takeaway which is a bit annoying but the burger is really fantastic

Ordered via Wolt thinking it was my usual Prenzlauerberg branch, turns out was Kreuzberg, so I couldnt pick up as I planned, but they refused to allow me to order courier and just charged me for a lunch that I never had. Shocking service, avoid!!!!!

Very nice and friendly staff. As a starter we had the onion rings, which were "bombastic", very tasty, the breading was a chef's kiss. The sweet potato fries were soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, highly recommended. Now about the burgers: my friend thought they were so tasty that he ordered another one straight away. The bun alone was very tasty, nice and soft. The patty was incredibly good, you could also choose whether it was well done, medium and rare. The price is very reasonable for what you get, although slightly expensive, but that's justified for the burgers. I would absolutely recommend it

One of the best burgers I have ever eaten !!! Coming from LA, great burgers are hard to find but this place is an A+. Incredible

Anyway, it tastes delicious. They are particular about the meat, and the fact that it is dry-aged is amazing. And there are gluten-free options (you can change the bun). Furthermore, all the staff brothers are nice guys! I've been a gluten-free burger junkie for a long time, but this place was the place to go.

The burger is good, and the location is great with a beautiful atmosphere. The staff are exceptionally friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable, but the food portions are on the small side. Additionally, there was no soap in the restrooms.

One of the “Best Burgers in Berlin” is listed on a ranking page Ordered three Double Smashburgers on site, catastrophe... actually only tasted like the cheese, where were the onions and the sauce. The meat is something with dry aged, if I get normal beef mince and fry it myself it tastes exactly the same. You would need at least 2 burgers to be nearly full. Everyone just speaks English... First the first burger came, then 4 minutes later the second, the second was taken away again then brought back after 3 minutes (for whatever reason) and after 8 minutes the last burger. So as compensation there were fries. The first person had long since finished eating. The side salad was more of a boring mini rocket salad. But the fries were surprisingly good. Next time I'd rather go back to Burger King. Ambience well and we hit our heads on the lamp a total of 4 times, 3 of which were me. Try your burgers yourself and pictures of the burgers would be desirable.

It's definitely one of the best burgers in Berlin. The patty is of high quality and all ingredients are fresh. The fries are crispy and perfectly done. Sizes for both are also okay, not big but not small either. The prices can be a bit expensive but it's worth a visit. The service was great, friendly and fast. The only thing I miss here is a menu option with a burger and fries together.

Best burger in Berlin and basically one of the best I've ever eaten. Also cool that they have an online questionnaire at the end and ask for feedback. You can tell that they care about the business and the guests.

Super smakelijke burgers en lekker bijgerechten en homemade sauzen. De bediening was uiterst vriendelijk. Ook de locatie is heerlijk rustig en heeft een leuke uitstraling. Kan zeker aanraden om hier te eten.

We had made a reservation, were warmly welcomed, served in a friendly manner and were very well looked after. Fries, burgers, onion rings: super delicious!

Food was ok. However, the fat didn't smell good at all and it was very annoying while eating. The burgers are nothing special and everything is extremely greasy. I won't go there again as there are actually much better burger shops. Many employees only speak English, which is probably hip and great for some guests. But if you're there with family, it quickly becomes annoying. So overall the store couldn't convince me. P.s. and beyond meat as the only veg. Variant is also lame. Cheers meal at isolated pea protein.

After a 10 hour train trip back to the Netherlands, Mum and I sat outside the train station waiting for our taxi and first thing we said we missed over here were the burger from Grindhouse. I told the friendly waiter that it was actually a good thing we do not have a Grindhouse in Rotterdam, because we most likely would have eaten ourselves to death. This Burgerplace came recommended by a Time to Momo guidebook. We arrived an hour before opening time and we sat down at the tea house a couple of feet down the road (nice place, too). We were far from disappointed. The burgers were wunderbar, the truffle fries with parmezan were sehr gut and the homemade iced tea was another word in German for fantastic. Next time we are in Berlin, we will come back for more. Keep up the good work!

Very average, extremely pricey for no reason. The food is also mediocre. One of those hip burger joints that are cool for no reason.

Just stopped for lunch at Grindhouse. Food was good as ever and service was quick and friendly. BUT the bad smell of rancid fat was so off-putting that I could hardly finish my food. And the interior of restaurant needs a serious clean. It is visibly dirty and sticky. Not cool given the prices. 👎🏼👎🏼

Their smash burger is hands down the best burger in berlin. I recommend swapping the special sauce out for mustard, cleaner mixture overall. Seriously this is way better than Goldie’s or Anu of the other smash clones. They also have great “normal” burgers too awesome sides and nice out door seating. Will return again and again and again

Good quality food: Burger very good, but a bit too small with side dish. Please don't save on the 50 cent cost of goods here... Hygiene ugh: Soap can be refilled proactively (it was missing in both toilets!). When asked, it was said that the fixed dispenser was defective - a simple replacement is available from DM and Co.!). Paper dispenser was damaged and really unsightly (partly chipped). Please improve!

extremely pricey, and beers aren't even served on a glass. we paid with card and they gave themselves tip without asking, the portions are small, but most of all, the burgers are super greasy. you can see what I mean in the pictures attached. one shows the burger, the other the grease that was left on the plate afterwards.

Update: I had the Crispy American Burger today and thought it was very, very good. That's why I give one more star. Original rating 4/5: I had a double smashburger. But it wasn't anything special. I'm missing that certain something. The fries were good and so was the homemade mayonnaise. I'll come back again to try one of the "normal" burgers. The service was a bit messy, the bill wasn't right and I got things that I hadn't ordered. But this can happen at any time and is not a big problem. I'll come again.

The burgers are soaked in fat! I ate 4 hours ago and I'm still nauseous. Apparently I had a truffle burger, but I didn't taste any of it Overall the burger was extremely tasteless and just plain greasy. Service normal, some not German speaking, but that's Prenzelberg. The Aperol Spritz had too little carbonation for my taste. Overall disappointing and also expensive.

Single smash burger was pretty good and juicy, great taste. Sesam avocado one, somehow the meat was not as good as the other. But these burgers are really small for their prices, they result not really filling, and we had to order two, each of us. Total burger price around 25 euros. It makes not so much sense. Staff pretty kind.

Good burger definitely in the top 3 in Prenzlauer Berg. We were able to sit outside and watch the European Championship games, even if a few guys had to turn away from the table to watch the TV. Staff was friendly, knowledge of English is necessary. Despite the relatively low occupancy, we always had to wait quite a long time before we could contact the service again. All in all a good experience that can be repeated.

I always go to this restaurant with my family and I think the burgers are super tasty. My favorite burger is Double Smash 💥💥

Had a little lunch date with my girlfriend. The Burgers are really nice and filling although a bit small for the price tag. The onion rings and the dips taster were outstanding.The staff is friendly and helpful.

The burger tastes very good. Decent bun and nice smash burger. The fries could be a little more generous. Otherwise very friendly service and nice atmosphere.

Gluten free burger buns are offered on the menu. As a celiac I called in advance to make sure there was no cross contamination. The gf buns are prepared in the same oven as the normal ones and are as such NOT celiac-friendly. The staff was not friendly and hung up on me as quickly as they could.

Small portions but everything was very good. Prices for me are a bit too high for what you get but still ok. It's good when it tastes good and it does.

The Truffle Heaven is absolute madness. One of the best burgers in Berlin, if not the best! Delicious. Unfortunately, the simple smashed burger was too salty. But still a full 5 stars because of the truffle part! My new favorite burger shop.

Beautiful location , in one of my favorite streets of Berlin , the patty is a must try, ingredients are fresh , the workers are kind and welcoming. I really recommend it.

Very good. Burger restaurant located 15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz, in a very quiet and beautiful residential area. When we arrived they asked us if we wanted to dine inside or outside and we chose to do so on the terrace since it was very pleasant. The girl who helped us was very nice, correct and willing to help if we had any questions. The food was delicious, I ordered the vagana burger with avocado and sesame seeds and it was spectacular. My husband had the double smash burger and he also liked it a lot. To accompany some fried sweet potatoes that were delicious. If you come to Berlin and are near Alexanderplatz, I definitely recommend coming here.

I had a cheese burger and my partner got trüffel heaven (the one in the pic) and he loved it! I will try from entrecôte gourmet burgers next time. All in all the food was great and made from fresh ingredients. The fries were excellent too.

Really bad burger place. Well done meat is bloody. The bun is just different. The fries are cold. There are only boring standard burgers. Slow service. There is much better.

My favourite burger in Berlin! I always go for the crispy American, thankfully they also have veggie options as my partner is vegetarian and we struggle to find good burger joints that cater to both of us. Staff are so lovely, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our meal. Decent drinks and sides as well. I always visit anytime I stop in Berlin!

This is must visit place if you are in Berlin. Amazing burger and great service . I had the beyond burger and Oreo milkshake. Oreo milkshake is must try. If you want to try amazing burgers, grindhouse is the place.

I honestly think this is one of the best burgers I've tried in Berlin. the place is really clean and finally we have a burger that is properly seasoned.... the reason I give 4 stars is just because for me they are quite expensive, but I think that this is something that worth the money to try at least once. smash burger was my fav. I might go again 😸🪚

Just ordered from Wolt, paid €55 - waited 1.5 hours and everything is missing. 2x mozzarella sticks, fries, dips, onion rings, simply goods worth €30 are missing. Wolt Support helps, but Grindhouse has been getting worse for months and I can no longer recommend it.

Unfortunately we had to wait a very long time for our food. Around 1 hour. Meanwhile, a large number of employees from various delivery services came and went. As a local guest, I had the feeling that as many orders as possible were taken away from home in order to probably generate as much profit as possible. In the end the kitchen couldn't keep up. Both suppliers and guests had to wait and wait on site. The staff was completely overwhelmed for April 30th and the number of orders, but this was due to the management and the orders, not their effortful appearance. To compensate for the waiting time, drinks or side dishes were offered free of charge. About the dishes: Mozzarella sticks, nothing special, tastes like they come from the frozen food department; fries good; Chilli mayo very good; Double smashed nothing special, there were no spices; beyond meat patties good. Would prefer a different restaurant next time :)

The best burgers in Berlin, without a doubt

Smells so bad inside, but the real problem is they couldn’t deliver 2 burgers 1 salad in 40 minutes. They only gave the milkshake which we finished and there were no burger still. We dont know if the taste is good that’s why the 3 stars. But the staff was so cold and rude and we couldnt eat in the end. We left. Because they kept giving out the Wolt/lieferendo orders and we waited 40 mins..

We ordered and waited gor 40 minutes. Nothing arrived to the table while 9 Wolt drivers picked up their food. 0 respect for customers.

It was explicitly asked in advance whether you could come with a large group and made a reservation. Starting with the fact that the tables were not one table as promised but were divided, the service, which only spoke English, was COMPLETELY overwhelmed. The drinks were very bad (sometimes simply wrong) and very modest requests were only very reluctantly accommodated. In the end something was charged twice. The burgers are really great, but unfortunately the rest isn't at all, which is why I wouldn't go there again.

It's like a burger dream-house. Loved it! Especially those double-smashed! Delicious!

Good Burguer but it is small for the price.

I tried this place for the first time on a recommendation and have to admit that it is one of the best burgers in Berlin. The onion rings are legendary, the Jack Daniels burger is unique and the truffle mayo is also very tasty, even the fries are on point. The bacon is perfect, not too dry, not so soft, just great. The music is a little too loud, the atmosphere is relaxed and the service is quick and courteous, in English.

Delicious burgers. We recommend.
