Grindhouse Burgers in Berlin

Came here nearly weekly for the past year. They had the best Smash Burgers of Berlin. Last week they changed their menu and with it as a result they changed the Grindhouse Sauce for ketchup. Waiting times also increased by over an hour since there “was a problem with the buns”.

Just for the girl's friendliness it's worth going and on top of that the hamburgers are really good.

It was a very good burger, but not at the moment. Unfortunately they produce quantity but not quality. The service is ok.

The food is very tasty and the price is also appropriate. I chose the veggie alternative and was very satisfied. The “meat” was juicy, something I’ve never had anywhere else before. I would always eat there again if I wanted a burger

We were a small group and took different burgers. Everyone liked it. There is an option to choose any burger, but with a vegetarian patty. We did not see this information on the menu; we learned it from the waiter. I recommend

The burgers were small for the price, but the taste was good. One portion of fries arrived cold. It took a long time to get a burger but I guess that's probably because all the food delivery people were also waiting. I would just go to Burgermeister instead!

The burgers were ok - average. I had a single Smashburger that dissolved in my mouth like cotton candy. But the meat was very good and tasty. It was incredibly loud and conversational, so our conversations were exhausting.

Insane food, insane staff (in a good way). Liked the Norwegians the most, nice to encounter people who speak your language and present you with that mindblowing friendliness. Really liked it here.

Was really delicious! Very exotic combination and they have a GLUTEN FREE BURGER BUN! Definitely going to come back 💝

I got a classic cheese burger. With the "lunch" menu, which included sandwich, chips and drink, I spent €11.90. All very good, the girl very kind and speaks at least 3 languages.

I was with my family at the Grindhouse last week, the atmosphere is pleasant, the boy who served us at the table was very kind and quick. We will definitely be back.

Perfect restaurant to eat in Berlin! Mimmo, the manager, he makes u feel at home, he treats his clients with respect and kindly . Carolina, the waitress, she has this smile that you will never forget. Definitely recommended! Looking forward to come back

I ate here with my wife and daughter. The burgers were amazing. The taste was so juicy and delicious. The sauce was also real good and well balanced. The service was also very good and friendly.

Excellent everything - especially the PHENOMENAL vanilla milkshake!

Ordered 0.5 L drink and received 0.3. When we mentioned it, the waiter rudely told us that they had too many reservations. Only after discussion did we receive a new drink. After that, the rest of the service left a lot to be desired. The food was actually very good and the atmosphere was great too.

The Smash Burger and parmesan fries were really good. The staff is really nice as well

This is a very nice place for your family meeting or your solo lunch. Waiter was looking like a balenciaga model and his hands was softer then a hands of English queen. Food was sooooo tasty I almost bite mine fingers off. Guy at the counter was so friendly and cute and his beard was looking softer than a cotton candy!

Great burger! Succulent and delicious meat, crispy bacon and what can I say, I got another one! I recommend the Classical Cheese, the chips with truffle mayonnaise and the churros. Excellent experience and congratulations to the staff, highly recommended ❤️

Delivering charred sweet potato fries. Food is also completely cold and burgers look like someone has stepped on them. Luckily the prices were only slightly overpriced

Burgers and fries were really very good. The desired cooking level was met and everything was tasty. Were there in the afternoon, i.e. there was nothing going on and therefore relaxed. Prices are fair in my opinion.

The Smash Burger was amazing, the meat was at its point and the bacon was perfectly roasted. The attention from the waiter and the personal was outstanding, they were always attentive and willing to serve. Couldn’t have asked for a better service nor meal! Would 100% recommend it for burger lovers!

We decided to try this place based on its good reviews, but unfortunately, the burgers didn’t suit our taste. Both the smash burger and the regular burger were heavily loaded with "burger sauce" or ketchup, which overpowered the flavor of the meat, making it hard to actually taste the burger itself. Additionally, the payment system had issues that day, which delayed our order—something we understood but still found inconvenient. Another downside is that mobile data doesn’t work inside due to poor network coverage, and they don’t offer Wi-Fi. While this might be nice for families or anyone looking to disconnect from social media, we would have liked the option to access the internet in some way. Overall, the experience didn’t leave the best impression.

I had there one of the best smashburgers I've ever eaten. I NEED to come back for more!

I'm always looking for a burger that's close to the American originals and this is where I find it. The smash burger is really good, but could use more roasted flavors. So the burger is okay, but everything around it and especially the price are not right for me at all. The portions are tiny. Normally a burger with fries and a drink should keep a woman satisfied. However, far from it here. The aperitif wasn't worth the money either. In addition, my order was processed incorrectly. That's why I can unfortunately only give it a total of 3 stars.

Food is actually delicious when delivered warm. Unfortunately, the employees are very inflexible and refer to the respective delivery service. Therefore, it is certainly a coordination problem between the restaurant and the delivery service. It's a shame that my criticism falls on deaf ears and the problem is simply passed on to the supplier. Surely the “blame” falls 50/50 on both sides. Unfortunately there is no goodwill from the restaurant.

Brought my mom here for a burger, she loved it! I never been Before but I will certainly be back, they have good veggy options and fries are thin snd crispy!

Do you really want to go to a restaurant that can't handle criticism? In addition to my factual but critical review, I received a message that the operator had caused Google to delete it. Reason: I was neither known to the “client” as a reviewer nor did I have a business relationship. The review contained defamatory content and was not truthful. Dear operators of the Grindhouse: how about you use your energy to optimize the service to your customers instead of deleting critical reviews? I stick with my original rating: the burgers were average at best and I certainly won't do what I got from your "service" staff again. By the way: a business relationship exists exactly when performance and consideration are exchanged between whomever. No matter whether you know my name - dear Mr. Managing Director - or not. And since you say you don't know me personally, I wonder how you can doubt the veracity of my experience in your establishment? “Clientship” – don’t you have to smile yourself?

Not the best burgers I've ever had, but still pretty good.

Super flexible team. We were 45 minutes early for our reservation for 12 (!) people and it was made possible for us to sit at the table straight away. The burgers are great, the service was impeccable. Big praise to Mimo, Ibrahim & team for our wonderful, very spontaneous evening. We'll definitely be back :)

Update: I had the Crispy American Burger today and thought it was very, very good. That's why I give one more star. Original rating 4/5: I had a double smashburger. But it wasn't anything special. I'm missing that certain something. The fries were good and so was the homemade mayonnaise. I'll come back again to try one of the "normal" burgers. The service was a bit messy, the bill wasn't right and I got things that I hadn't ordered. But this can happen at any time and is not a big problem. I'll come again.

You're used to a lot of things in Berlin, but it's strange when the staff doesn't speak German and it's assumed that you speak and understand English. (It's Berlin in Germany not one of the many in America.) The food was ok, the brioche burger buns weren't really my thing but luckily it's a matter of taste. The meat was very good, juicy and not at all dry. The staff was friendly and tried to complete the order correctly despite the language barrier. PS: don't expect American portions.

It’s a Burger, nothing more nothing less. But for the very high price you would expect something a bit more extraordinary. If your willing to pay an extra fee for nice interior and an average burger- this is the place to go.

Shrimp with wasabi as a starter, then a juicy burger and delicious dessert were also served. The service was friendly but unfortunately a bit inattentive towards the end. Still a nice evening.

Burgers are great, but not enough grindhouse sauce on the burger. The service was quick and friendly, but the food took a long time. Big negative point: after the visit everything smells like grease and a deep fryer, so we wouldn't come back.

The delivery took an hour, the entire meal was cold (!) and the order was incomplete!! Furthermore, the burger meat was still partially raw, which has nothing to do with "medium"... There was no response to my complaint... Despite being hungry and reluctant, I threw the food away completely. A case for the health department! Of course things can go wrong, but that was the biggest outrage I've ever experienced. And you get no response to criticism... 3 burgers (=garbage) with fries, COLD and uncooked, with no paid drink for over €46, totally cheeky and a rip-off. My recommendation: Don't order anything here!

Service was nice and quick, there was good 80s music playing and burgers, fries and onion rings were delicious. However, it really could have been more onion rings and fries. We weren't really full.

Burgers were okay, fries too. Portions are rather small, prices are relatively high. In the evening the lighting is reduced to a minimum, which is nice. Ideal for tourists, the staff speaks English, but we won't be coming back.

We didn't book, just found the place and walked in. Luckily we were seated which we were grateful for. The food itself is very good, came quickly too. Staff friendly and helpful, atmosphere pretty chilled and overall good vibe. Only criticism is the price; €12 for a burger that doesn't come with fries, you have to order them separately as a side which personally for €12 we thought was a little ridiculous. Also one of our burgers was ordered medium and came probably not even medium rare (we didn't complain as it was good and it wasn't a problem, just have a preference of medium). But yeah it's worth checking out but just be aware of the fries situation 👍

I don't have problem with service, they're ok. 3 stars only because of burgers. They look and taste EXACTLY the same as in McDonald. I should have gone there and eat twice as much for the same price...

I came here many, many times for chevre burger (the most delicious one in Berlin). Now the menu has changed and half of burgers positions is removed. Unfortunately the most delicious ones, black buns are also not here any more. Ok, they added smashed burgers but looks like this position could be found anywhere and this place was focused on gourmet burgers. Burgers are still good, but this place turns more to average burger place instead of interesting burger restaurant.

Double smash burger is great!! Trüffel fries could be better as they are only fried in trüffel oil I guess.
