Habe eine Currywurst mit Pommes gegessen. Alles war sehr lecker.

Ich kann die schlechten Kritiken nicht nachvollziehen. Wir wurden immer freundlich und gut bedient. Was man hier allerdings nicht mag sind angetrunkene und pöbelde Gäste, was ich aber auch verstehen kann. Das Essen ist gut und für Norderneyer Verhältnisse preiswert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mitarbeiter freundlich , Essen ok. Remoulade und Jägersoße verbesserungsfähig , ich würde nicht noch mal dort essen gehen.

Absolut starkes Schnitzel 👍 Genau das richtige nach einer langen Anreise mit 2 Kindern. Wir sind alle satt und glücklich geworden. Empfehlung von mir für stressfrei und lecker satt werden. Danke :)

Die Bedienung war maximal unfreundlich.

Super unfreundliche Bedienung, da nur die Personen sitzen dürfen, die auch bestellt haben. Ein Freund von mir musste dann alleine essen, obwohl alle Tische draußen leer waren. Die Kellnerin war äußerst unfreundlich und passiv-aggressiv. Sehr schade, da das Essen sogar lecker aussah und wir ja niemandem geschadet hätten. Die Preise sind im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz ziemlich hoch.

Nachdem ein Cheeseburger und eine Pommes Mayo gegessen wurde, wurde man eine Std später krank. Erbrechen und Durchfall. Verdacht auf Lebensmittelvergiftung. Schlimm

Hey, keines Fall diesen Laden besuchen , sowas von Kinder unfreundlich, setzt Mütter mit Kindern vor die Tür , ganz schön traurig armes Norderney, und das mit Insulanern . Was für eine Leistung.

Über das Essen, den Service oder das Ambiente kann ich keine Aussage treffen, weil die Bestellung "Pommes Mayo, bitte" bereits zu einem Verweis auf das Nachbarpokal geführt hat. Kein guter Gastgeber.

Ein vollkommen abschreckende Umbiss.

Norderneyer Misthaufen (a local specialty), gyros, onion schnitzel, and gypsy schnitzel are all top-notch! Plus, the owner is a real character, perfectly supported by his wife. This grill house has been one of our go-to spots on Norderney for years and will certainly remain so. Highly recommended!

Very tasty food and the conditions are very nice and friendly

WARNING! The food was great (chip shop, etc.), but the service, just like 2 years ago, was shockingly unfriendly, making personal, offensive remarks, etc. It seems like the crowd is the deciding factor here... We came again with a group of 8 people... unacceptable behavior... This was definitely the last time!

This was our second time here and we were not disappointed. Very friendly owners and delicious food.

Here, however, the customer seems to be a burden. Signs are posted or hanging everywhere, intended to reprimand customers. We didn't feel comfortable there, but the food was delicious, as you'd expect from a snack bar.

Pretty strange atmosphere with strange rules, not particularly customer-friendly. Also, no card payments.

I've rarely met such an unfriendly person. There were five of us there, and one of our guests had to leave because he didn't want to eat. We've never experienced anything like this before; it's simply unbelievable. A 🌟 is too much; unfortunately, the owner can't get anything less. 😞

Super friendly relaxed atmosphere, would love to come back

I would have liked to eat something, but my 11 companions were refused! Because I wanted to use the restroom before eating and didn't ask if I could use this essential service, my companion and I were asked to leave the restaurant! Unfortunately, they don't understand the concept of hospitality and customer service... so they gave me 6! Groups are not welcome here. One star is still too many. It's good that there are good, friendly alternatives 5 meters away.

It's now my regular snack bar. The menu isn't extensive, but the food is delicious. The portions are more than generous. And the two people in front of and behind the counter deserve 10 out of 5 stars.

For us, it's still one of the best chip shops in the north and the best on Norderney. The currywurst is served with a decent grilled bratwurst, and the fries are nice and crispy. Overall, the menu is limited, but the selection is consistently delicious. A visit to Norderney without ringing the bell is possible, but it doesn't make much sense ;)

Just a chip shop. A bit overpriced, but good. They don't offer takeaway food, and the information is very unfriendly. Then don't go!

Very delicious food; a visit to the Grillstübchen is always a must for me when I'm on Norderney. I was there today with a child; the portions were large. The fries from the cheeseburger were served in a bowl, so we could easily share them. The bad reviews are irrelevant!

We had lunch there yesterday! The schnitzel with onions and mushrooms was excellent, and the fries were also delicious! Eating there again today! Highly recommended.

The food was very good and tasty. We really enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and up for a joke. We'll definitely stop by again next time and eat there too. THANK YOU!!!!!

I can't comment on the food. Fries are only served with meals. A meal costs €14 and up. It's not possible to just get a quick fries for the kids. 🤷🏽

Delicious food at good prices, decent portions, keep it up

A restaurant where you're greeted with the friendly North German touch. A very good atmosphere is created by both the manager and his wife. The restaurant was full, and we didn't have to wait long, either to order or for the food to arrive. A small but fine menu, and I highly recommend the pollock fillet. The portions are large enough to satisfy everyone. What we found particularly amusing and funny was that the orders were relayed downstairs to the kitchen via a walkie-talkie and then transported upstairs in a freight elevator. 😂 We just felt at home! A fantastic experience.

Friendly service, delicious, filling food. I'd gladly eat here again! The cheese could be bigger and more melted. 😋

The man certainly earns enough. Definitely NOT recommended. Arrogant in his roofer's trousers behind the counter...

We ate here yesterday and it was GREAT! The fries were really crispy and delicious, and the cheeseburger was amazing! My mom had a currywurst with fries and was also very happy! The manager and the waitress were really cheerful, friendly, and even in a good mood for jokes. This won't be the last time we eat at the Grillstübchen!

It's a bit strange that a snack bar doesn't serve fries without a meal. The burger with fries was very good. The staff was very friendly. You have to be able to take the humor in. Some reviews criticize the direct approach, but as a native of the Ruhr region, it's exactly my thing.

We had two very delicious meals here during our vacation. The kibbeling was delicious and juicy. We also really enjoyed the Norderneyer Misthaufen (a combination of fried fish and chips). The captain at the deep fryer is unique. And that's only in a positive sense. We received a friendly welcome and had a great time. Therefore, we cannot understand or confirm some of the negative opinions expressed here.

They know a thing or two about currywurst here. Very tasty, highly recommended. The owner and his wife are very nice. So, if you're hungry, go there.

Went to Norderney for the first time on Thursday and fortified ourselves here for lunch. Great food, friendly service, perfect value for money, all in all can only be recommended

Like last year, my family and I were once again given a very warm and friendly welcome. The food is very tasty and rich. Next time we are back on the island we will definitely stop here again. I can recommend the 'Norderneyer Muckheap'.

I have never had such open-hearted, welcoming service. You somehow immediately felt at home. Been on the island for 3 years, never even been there and after just a few seconds I regretted not having done it more often. Gladly again, food was an onion schnitzel with fries, really tasty!

This shop is apparently closed because of wealth... Every time I'm there it's closed...even between Christmas and New Year...the tenant seems to have enough money...

The two of us ate here one evening. We were warmly welcomed. The service was very courteous and quick. The food was delicious and fresh!

Too bad. Not like it used to be. There is no longer a fries on hand. Fries only with dish. And then put up a sign that says...Clubs are not welcome. I call it arrogant. And that for a chip shop. If you want to be on top, you usually fall low. And then get cheeky when you ask. I have never seen such an unfriendly cook or boss (or whatever) in my life. Never again.

Really highly recommended. Had gyros with fries. Mega good, large portion, great quality for a very fair price. Nice couple who prepare and serve their own food here. There's really nothing to complain about, only praise.

Very tasty food right in the pedestrian zone. We were very satisfied and felt very well looked after there.

The friendly reception followed by very friendly service is very inviting. The selection is good and the quality of the food is excellent. You can't complain about the prices. We went there 3 times within a week and weren't disappointed once.

There are no complaints about the food and the quality is good. There is no entry for clubs at the front. Four of us were discreetly told that the tables in the Pommenbude were reserved. So we were suddenly unwanted. We were able to eat outside at the table on Thursday and not yesterday. I found this behavior outrageous. Apparently the customers are chosen based on their mood of the day. We went next door and the service was just as good and friendly.

Best example of wanting to earn a lot of money with little effort. Service, including the boss, was a disaster and it couldn't be more unfriendly. I will avoid this chip shop on my next vacation.

We eat here often every time we are on Ney. The food is great and the price is right. The waitress has a special sense of humor that we totally celebrate. I can't understand the bad reviews about this, people are probably going to laugh in the basement. In any case, we really enjoy being here and are happy every time we get to visit Chris 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We wanted to eat something there with friends today I just wanted a bratwurst I am a slim person And when I ordered, the owner said I would have to take it down Such a saying is not appropriate If someone just wants a bratwurst then I would just bring it to them without comment The store will never see me again

We would all like to eat fries there together. Although fries are offered in multiple combinations with other dishes, you cannot order fries alone there. Local is therefore not suitable for vegetarians, as fries are only available in combination with meat or fish. Unfortunately, the food and price-performance ratio cannot be evaluated. There were hardly any other guests there at the time, so it wouldn't have been a big effort to prepare the fries without any side dish. Too bad.

We have been coming to Norderney with our beagles for many years and we always enjoy coming back to eat here. Very nice and friendly service 👍😁🥰. I have never experienced the owner being unfriendly.

Service is terrible. You are ignored even though you have been noticed. I can't rate the food, despite a 10 minute wait I couldn't order. The chef/owner prefers to throw out jokes. There is no card payment, it was denied with the words “we are teaching people to count again”.

I don't understand what everyone here has to complain about! The food was delicious and the “boss” was in a great mood and made us all laugh! The food was very, very tasty. And the inscription “quick restaurant” fits too! The food arrived quickly and warm. When we arrived we were assigned a table and we put 2 tables together (without any problems)! Only recommended

Unfriendly, cold service, I can only agree with the many other reviews. The food was ok (cold mushrooms on the schnitzel), but nothing more.

Never again. You get what you pay for, it's a few euros cheaper here than in other restaurants, but the fried fish is smaller and tastes and looks just like what you take out of the freezer at home and put in the deep fryer. A no go is that you can only pay in cash and you will only be told this at the checkout. Then you have to run to the bank and get money. There is no clearly visible notice and it is not said when ordering. The innkeeper really tries to come across as pseudo-funny and emphatically relaxed, which is embarrassing and annoying.

Not recommendable. Super unfriendly boss, snippy answers and the waitress isn't really friendly either. We were there with 10 people, we weren't allowed to put tables together and the service was pretty rude. When I complained because the food was cold, my friend was insulted. There are also signs saying no “weekend howler monkeys.” Otherwise a really beautiful island.

Day trip to Norderney... Had lunch there...everything was French fries (mostly frozen products) it was good but nothing special...the owners are very nice and accommodating towards children and always have a quick saying...toilets were clean ...all in all I would give it 3.5 stars

Asked at the ordering window for 3 fries with ketchup. There are no fries without a dish. Reference to a sign that says exactly that. Incomprehensible for a chip shop near the beach.

Just ate there. Unfortunately we weren't allowed to put the tables together. We complained about one meal because it was cold. However, a replacement was rudely refused. Then we also became unfriendly. The waitress was friendly at first but then we were ignored. Weird store not recommended. It's a shame it was otherwise a nice trip to Norderney.

Super unfriendly. There's a sign saying "No weekend howler monkeys" but it's one itself. We wanted to sit down with the child but were not allowed. My fellow traveler had a fish sandwich from somewhere else and wasn't even allowed to go near the shop even though she just wanted to ask me something. We then left our money next door and didn't regret it. When we ate next door, we noticed how unkindly some customers were treated. So the store will be avoided in the future!

This chip shop is more of a rip-off shop!!! Overpriced food of poor quality. The owner is very unpleasant and cheeky, but he thinks he's incredibly funny. The way he talks to customers and acts like a boss borders on stupid embarrassment. Supposedly funny signs in the entrance area are intended to underline his inappropriate sense of humor. Here the owner is King Koks, the customer only has to obey, otherwise he will be disregarded. I recommend avoiding this place!!!!!
