We were served super quickly and friendly, the food was delicious and the price-performance ratio was simply fabulous!

View and ambience are great, service was good too. Unfortunately we weren't so happy with our meal. Our main course came almost directly with the aperitif, which was a shame. The online menu was different from the one on site. Burger was a bit poor. For dessert I had the chocolate cake, which was also rather disappointing. Two small.. mini muffins? Two three splashes of sauce and a whole three! Cherries. Too bad.

Everything was fine so far. The food was delicious, the service was friendly and quick. The furnishings were okay, although a bit cramped. A little more space between the tables would be nice, as you don't want to overhear your neighbors' conversations.

Not recommended for drinking coffee. The jumbo latte is not exceptionally large and tastes unpleasantly of hot milk. There doesn't seem to be much coffee here. I didn't want to drink it, even though it cost €4.70.

Our conditions were great and the location is always worth a visit, but unfortunately I have to advise against the food.

The crab soup has been a total delight so far. Now a thick mush is served that resembles ready-made soup and doesn't justify the price. The kitchen responds accommodatingly and waives the costs. Still not recommended.

The Riffkieker restaurant impresses with an excellent selection of dishes - from perfectly prepared steaks to delicious fish specialties, everything is highly recommended. The friendly and competent service team contributes significantly to an all-round pleasant stay. A special thank you goes to Rati for the first-class service, which made the visit a special experience. Highly recommended!

We would have liked to go there for a drink, but were treated very rudely by a waitress. Therefore we are against again. Unfortunately, that wasn't the first unpleasant experience there. It was similar in May 2024. Svhade

Freundliche Bedienung, aber völlig überteuertes Krabbenbrot mit Spiegeleiern, 27€ ist bei aller Liebe zu teuer. War auch nicht ausgezeichnet.

Wir sind entsetzt über die Art und Weise mit dem Umgang einer Reklamation! Wir haben auf Anraten des Personals eine Email an den Geschäftsführer (welche Funktion dieser Herr genau hat, ist uns nicht bekannt) geschrieben und bis heute keinerlei Antwort erhalten! Das ist mehr als traurig und für uns ist als sehr langjährige Gäste des Riffkiekers ab sofort das Surfcafé die 1. Adresse! Sehr schade, dass man so deutlich zu spüren bekommt, wie unwichtig so ein einzelner Gast geworden ist.

Our first evening on Norderney always takes us to the sea at Riffkieker and it is our 'go to place'. This time we had delicious kale and drank a lot of egg grog. The team is really nice and quick and still professional even at peak times.

Had dinner there twice on vacation, very tasty. Eating with kale in particular is highly recommended. Staff always friendly and quick. Gladly again at any time.

Hatten uns eine Gulasch- und eine Tomatensuppe bestellt. Kamen letztlich in einer etwas größeren Kaffeetasse. War lecker, aber Preis-/Leistung ist nicht mehr in Ordnung. Kommen schon lange nach Norderney und waren gerne Gast im Riffkieker, aber nun höchstens noch auf ein Getränk. Schade, der Pächter -/Besitzerwechsel hat zu einer deutlichen Verschlechterung geführt.

Just beautiful. The atmosphere is also cozy. We had the fish soup and the fried fish. It tasted very good. The toilet doors are special. The next day we went there again in the evening and drank white mulled wine and sea buckthorn grog again. But then we sat outside in a beach chair. Recommended without exception

Food (fried fish) was very tasty. We deducted the ambience because the tables in the middle with the plastic chairs exude a bit of canteen flair, the service was good. 👍🏻

Stand-up snack quality. Put everything through the deep fryer and add a lot of mayo. Prices for it are great. Confident! The service staff was from the “oh dear” category. Once is enough for us.

I think the restaurant is great, the location is wonderful, but that's the only thing for me.

The service was a complete disaster. We wanted to have breakfast with 7 people on site and pushed two tables together that were next to each other. The waitress immediately insulted us and reacted in a completely unfriendly manner. We and the next table then got up and we no longer had breakfast there.

Wieder mal hier wegen der guten Lage. Haben uns einen Aperol Spritz bestellt. Dieser war für 9 Euro leider nur 1/4 voll. Ansonsten war der Service so lala. War allerdings auch viel los.

Wir kommen seit fast 20 Jahren nach Norderney und besuchen den Riffkieker ebenso lange. In erster Linie wegen der traumhaften Lage. Das Essen ist gut, mehr nicht. Aber fast jedes Mal haben wir uns über den Service geärgert, der in erster Linie sehr unfreundlich und teilnahmslos ist. Wir haben uns geschworen, dass wir nicht wiederkommen werden. Wir werden anstatt dessen das Surfcafe nebenan besuchen. Hier ist das Personal immer äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Good restaurant with good home-style, regional cuisine. I had the fish platter, which tasted good. This was on a separate board and not on the menu. It would be helpful here if the prices were also shown on the boards. However, when I asked, the waitress was able to help me immediately.

The ambience on the beach is always great! The food was tasty and looked good. The service is not working at all! Hold the door open, no thanks will come! If you want to order something, you have to get the right service person. Unfortunately, one doesn't pass anything on to the other! I ask and people roll their eyes! Yes, it's the end of the season but a smile, a twitch, etc. would still be possible!

The location right on the beach is ok, the price level is completely exorbitant as is typical for Norderney, but ok, you know that. The food is absolutely wrong, it's all just frozen stuff. The “Homemade Schnitzel Wiener Style” was completely frozen, with a mountain of fries, 3 lettuce leaves... 20 euros. Preparation time just under 10 minutes. Homemade because it was made in the house? You can get it cheaper in every company canteen or chip shop, but above all, it's better. Profit maximization in every respect is probably on the agenda here. Be a guest here again? Never!

Fantastically located right by the sea, the food is great. Unfortunately the service is a disaster. Completely overwhelmed staff who acted very rudely and unfriendly - so rude that we considered getting up and leaving. A waitress shouted at me - there's no other way to call it - when I asked for ketchup and mayo for fries: "I'll bring it straight away, I just said!", another employee insisted on a second time for the food order to come to the table, it was not possible to order drinks and food together. He was also annoyed and mumbled so quietly that you had to ask what had been said. A real catastrophe, we haven't experienced anything like it for a long time. Unfortunately, no recommendation, there are enough alternatives with friendly service on the island.

Wir kommen regelmäßig zum Essen. Jeder findet auf der abwechslungsreichen Karte etwas nach seinem Geschmack. Es gibt immer wieder Aktionen wie Muscheln oder Grünkohl. Man sollte reservieren, es ist in der Saison eigentlich immer voll. Im Sommer kann man ohne Reservierung draußen ein Plätzchen suchen. Was ich besonders liebe, der super leckere Eierkuchen! Schafft man allerdings kaum als Nachtisch (nur so als Tipp)

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much emphasis here on making a reservation by telephone. Employees were not interested in the “misunderstanding”(?) and rejected us without concern, even though our number was on the display. We would have expected more accommodation here, even if there are certainly no worries there in terms of sales. Frisian greetings!

Very incompetent. You go to Norderney and reserve a table a week in advance and when you come there is no table available. No apology and no understanding, even though the call was traceable on site. Just a shame.

Nice restaurant for dinner. The winter garden in particular offers a great view. Cellars sometimes a bit stressed. Fish is very tasty. I would recommend making a reservation.

Molded schnitzel, ketchup and mayo in portion packaging, salad decorations on the plates without any dressing, was something you couldn't expect in this local ambience. The price is not appropriate for what is offered.

The ambience and the view of the beach and the North Sea are really great. Unfortunately I can't say anything good about the food - the schnitzel is inexpensive, but still too expensive for a convenience product that was unfortunately completely tasteless. The side salad for 8 euros is really a side dish size - the price-performance ratio doesn't match. The employees are professional, but not very approachable. You don't really feel welcome. Conclusion - drinks yes, because of the really beautiful place - food rather no.

Schade, eigentlich sehr schönes Restaurant, aber das Personal ist eine Katastrophe. Essen war mal wieder lecker. Bin mehrmals im Jahr auf Norderney. Das Personal im Riffkieker ist unfassbar launisch und genervt. Nebenan im Surfcafe ist das komplette Gegenteil der Fall.

We have been coming to Norderney for years. The Riffkieker has now become our regular restaurant. The food is fantastic and the portions are also large, so you fill up well. The inviting view of the sea also makes you feel really comfortable there. Even when the restaurant is full, the waiters keep a good overview. You don't have to wait long for your food here.

It doesn't work at all. Arrived, wanted a drink and something to eat. 1. Service, drinks: a bionade and a large ney beer. She rejected the request for the card “because there is going to be a thunderstorm.” Hey? Okay, we sat outside but it's our problem if I sit in the rain with the schnitzel. We repeated our request for the card - nothing. Drinks arrive, a bionade and 2 small beers. After I pointed out to the waitress that it should be a large one, but that I also take two small ones, he insisted on bringing me a large one. OK. Here I repeated the request for the card. He would need the beer, without a menu. And asked again for a card - completely ignored. Never again! We went 5m further to the surf café and received first-class service. It hasn't rained so far, but the sun is shining nicely

Just drank something... rude... Aperol really bad... aperol just walked past. Little or no Prosecco in it. It's almost a shame to say Spritz. That was nothing.

A beautiful location on Norderney, the food and service were really good.

The Riffkieker beach restaurant on Norderney is a real gem if you want to enjoy a meal with a view of the sea. The location is simply unbeatable – while you enjoy your meal, you can watch the waves and feel the fresh sea breeze. The food was excellent, especially the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce that I had. The sauce was rich and perfectly seasoned, the meat was tender and well fried. It was an all-round successful dish that I can recommend to everyone. Added to this is the friendly service: the service was not only attentive, but also very personable, which made the entire stay even more pleasant. All in all a great place to combine good food with a breathtaking view. Absolutely recommended!

The breakfast is not worth its price. Here you can get baked rolls from the supermarket and cheese and ham also taste more like the cheaper version. Several things were forgotten because putting together breakfast didn't work well. Ambiance is ok, lacks coziness.

Labskaus war geschmacklich echt nicht gut, von der Konsistenz mal ganz zu schweigen. Matjesfilet war zäh und sehr sauer. Schnitzel war ganz ok, aber auch nicht erwähnenswert. Das einzig gute war die Krabbenrahmsuppe. Sehr lecker und die Krabben wirklich frisch. Bedienung war teilnahmslos und hat einen gelangweilt Eindruck gemacht.

Great restaurant right on the North Sea. Unfortunately, most of the waiters there are very disinterested in the customer. (To put it kindly) Too bad.

Unfriendly and unmotivated service. Baked fish with fries for €17 is a disgrace. Replacing fries with baked potatoes would have cost an extra €4. "Pizza" with a tortilla base is inedible because it is completely overloaded with sauce and therefore gets soggy very quickly. At the end, service INDEPENDENTLY gave themselves a tip of about 10% without being asked or saying anything. Despite the nice location, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant.

Zum ersten Mal auf Norderney reservierte ich für den ersten Abend das in wenigen Gehminuten von unserer Ferienwohnung gelegene Restaurant Riffkieker. Freundlicher Empfang, schöner Platz im Wintergarten. Sehr gute, reichhaltige Karte. Die Kutterscholle (in einer anderen Bewertung als wässrig kritisiert), war kross & lecker und schmeckte inklusive Beilagen hervorragend. Auch der Matjes Hausfrauenart in einer cremigen Soße serviert konnte begeistern. Krabbensuppe war ein bisschen dick geraten von der Konsistenz, aber geschmacklich einwandfrei. Insgesamt ein gemütlicher Start in den Urlaub zu recht zivilen Preisen.

Unfortunately I can't say anything positive about the food in this restaurant. The ingredients of the fish soup consisted mainly from seafood with vegetables and lots of baby calamari...I wasn't aware of that in a fish soup. It didn't taste like fish soup at all... When I asked the waiter, I was loudly told that I had to pay for it, he couldn't do anything about it... When I was paying, I was loudly pointed out again, so that the entire restaurant was attentive It became clear that I should eat tomato soup next time. I've never been treated so badly, rudely and disrespected...I wasn't even asked if I wanted anything else... Completely unprofessional service A solution should be found for every problem...

Pizorilla Promodoro 11.00 EUR taste insufficient, 8.00 EUR salad comes in an 8 cm bowl - rip off, cheeky fried potatoes not seasoned, bacon burnt - customer satisfaction??? Not like that!!!
