We had a pleasant evening with friendly people, good food, and a very pleasant atmosphere. We would be happy to return and recommend this restaurant 100%. Thank you for the lovely evening.

The right side of a building complex, located directly on the promenade/beach. On the other side is the Surfer Cafe. The food is extremely good for such a place, you wouldn't believe it. Prices range from average to hefty. The service is fast and attentive, although it depends on the times.

You can drink good coffee by the sea.

An employee simply left me standing there without a word after I asked two friendly questions. I explained the situation to the manager, and the employee standing next to me used an abusive tone. There were no consequences. The manager's apology was unfortunately half-hearted. Only a very nice, attentive employee who was observing the scene approached me as I was leaving the restaurant and told me he was sorry, as I had been very nice and polite.

The coffee was outstanding. The food was very good. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly. Everything was perfect.

Too bad, I hope we just had a bad night yesterday. The online reservation worked out well. However, it's a no-go for me when the food is served before the drinks, sorry. The food itself (salad/kibble/burger) was good, but nothing special.

The service here is very good, but the drinks are a bit off-key. It didn't bother us because we were sitting comfortably. But we had to wait a very long time for every single drink.

Great location right on the beach with views of the dunes and the sea. The winter garden provides pleasant dining and drinking, even when the weather isn't ideal. The food is delicious, especially the Norderney crab soup.

Originally a very nice restaurant with decent food, it was a truly terrible restaurant experience due to incompetent and unfriendly staff. They hand you food, tell you to clear your table yourself, tell you not to turn the chairs around (we were keeping the fire exit clear!), and don't even tell you the time of day. Truly outrageous and no tip deserved! Unfortunately, the restaurant's location makes it too easy for them – if it were in a different location, it would have ceased to exist long ago. Our recommendation: go to the Surf Café and support their competitor!

The Riffkieker is a first-class beach restaurant. Here you can enjoy the magnificent view of the sea and the beach. The sunset is especially breathtaking. It's best to reserve a table. The cycling and hiking trails start from here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the herring.

Beautiful sea view. We always enjoy going there on a day trip and using our own e-bikes to quickly reach the beach from the harbor.

We ate there twice during our vacation. The first time was on a recommendation, and the second time because we were there. The atmosphere was fantastic. The staff were super friendly – ​​if you brought your dog with you, they even gave you a treat, thanks for that 😍 If you like, you can enjoy a sundowner on the outdoor terrace afterward. Simply fantastic. Keep up the good work, and see you next time!

Highly recommended. We visited this evening and received a very friendly welcome...even though the place was full, we got a table for two. We opted for panfish, the East Frisian omelet, and it was a good choice. Very tasty, very plentiful, and served on a hot plate. That doesn't happen everywhere. Absolutely excellent value for money; we'd be happy to come back.

I went out to eat alone, didn't have a reservation, and got a table for four with a sea view. My family joined me, but that was by chance. The service was extremely friendly and quick, and after having eaten nothing but breakfast all day, the panfish (East Frisian omelet with pollock cubes and fried potatoes) came at just the right time. My family had to help me; I couldn't have managed it on my own. Afterward, a delicious eggnog...that's what vacations are all about. 🤗

We stopped here because of the vegan options and were seated around 3 p.m. on a weekday without a reservation. The burger was delicious and filling, and an extra portion of fries was enough for us! Unfortunately, they brought the wrong drink, but otherwise the service was good!

Prime beach location. Great view. Delicious food... But why do I have to pay €4 extra for a "bowl" of fried potatoes? The extra charge is fine. But I didn't order fries either... And the portion of fried potatoes was small. The portion of fries would have been huge... A small salad would have been great. The dressing was amazing (my son tried it).

A solid beach restaurant, but nothing more than that. The business model is working, and you can tell that a certain level of contentment/contentment has probably crept into the restaurant.

My wife and I always enjoy the sun and the view here. The place is a great place whatever the weather; if the weather isn't so great outside, you can sit comfortably inside. The food is really good; I definitely recommend the Labskaus and the panfish.

This time we were there with four people. We had reserved a table in advance, which is absolutely necessary if you want to eat inside. When we arrived, however, the weather was so nice that we would have preferred to sit outside. That wasn't a problem at all. The nice lady at the reception immediately gave us a nice table. The food was, as always, excellent! The staff were cheerful and quick-witted. They're happy to tip.

Outrageous prices. Instead of boiled potatoes, they wanted mashed potatoes and charged €3 extra. The fish was either undercooked or overcooked.

We sat outside at first. The service there was polite and friendly. Since it started to rain, we sat inside. The woman who served us was abrupt and unfriendly. The plaice, which cost over €20, tasted of nothing and was just greasy. When we pointed this out, all we got was a snippy, "Ah, yes. That surprises me very much. I'll pass it on."

Very good selection, the quality was very good. Unfortunately, it was very crowded and there was a long wait.

The restaurant with a sea view is truly a must-visit when on the island. You should definitely make a reservation early. There was a delicious starter salad, and the food arrived very quickly. The only annoyance was the conceited patrons of the restaurant, who were very impatient with a waiter on his second day. The restaurant was very busy, and he kept asking questions whenever he didn't understand something under the pressure. He did a great job with us; the staff training him seemed noticeably more stressed and impatient with him. I deduct a point for the ambiance, as you could clearly see the stress of the other staff members. This made it very stressful for everyone present at times. Otherwise, highly recommended.

We were here two weeks ago on a Friday afternoon. The ambiance and the proximity to the sea are very nice. The service is fast, but the friendliness leaves something to be desired. This doesn't apply to all the waiters, but the overall impression suffered quite a bit. The two pizzas we ordered were like tarte flambée. We've rarely had such thin crust and such meager toppings. Sorry, but that's not acceptable. The price/performance ratio isn't good.

The price-performance ratio isn't right. The portions on the plates are far too small. After the meal, we're asked if everything was to our satisfaction. We honestly answer that we weren't full, but the waiter doesn't care at all; he just says he'll pass it on. That's it. We won't be visiting this restaurant again.

It's been so warm twice during our vacation, and everything has been perfect both times. The waiters are all super friendly, even when it's very busy. The view of the sea is, of course, phenomenal, either from the beach chair on the sand or from the restaurant itself. You can always find a good spot even if it rains or the wind is strong. The menu is varied, with something for everyone, both in terms of food and drinks. Right on the beach. We had tuna pizza and spaghetti with salmon, both of which were delicious. The prices are a bit on the high side, but you get a good price. Dogs are welcome. We will definitely be back.

Great location, compelling ambiance, very friendly and fast service. Food: Pasta was pre-cooked but tasty. Homemade schnitzel was far from "homemade": cheap pre-cooked meat (convenience) that certainly hadn't seen a pan (no sautéing at all), unseasoned fries, salty mushroom sauce, even pre-cooked food heated in the microwave. I probably should have preferred a fish dish; they looked more delicious.

The restaurant has a great location. The food is okay, but more in the convenience food category. I preferred fried potatoes to French fries. They charged a whopping €4 extra for this (the menu states that changes to orders are subject to an additional charge). The fried potatoes were served in a very small bowl, and the supposed pork schnitzel (which looked very "standard" in shape and breading) consisted of white meat, which suggested more like poultry. Overall, a restaurant with a nice view and rather average food.

The restaurant is beautifully situated with a view of the sea. Unfortunately, my daughter had a piece of plastic in her potato pancakes. Although the food was replaced and an apology was offered, a bitter feeling lingered.

Like the beach café across the street, we came here twice – once for breakfast and once for lunch. The service was very quick and friendly, and the location is, of course, great. The breakfast food was okay, but lunch was a bit disappointing. The side salad for €8 was truly a joke. It could have been swallowed in one bite. The spaghetti Bolognese had an okay sauce, but the pasta was quite sticky, and the Parmesan cheese was baked onto the grater. So, the food – at least ours – was rather mediocre.

It's a bit chilly in the conservatory at the moment, despite the heaters. The service and food were top-notch. Very tasty, fresh, and generous portions. Very good value for money.

Wir wollten gemütlich mit der Familie den Bachelorabschluss unseres Sohnes feiern und hatten auf leckeres Essen gehofft. Fast alles kam aus der Tiefkühltruhe ( Schnitzel, Röstis, Burgerpatties.. ) nichts war wirklich frisch und der Lachs in der Kartoffel war garantiert auch abgepackt aus dem Supermarkt. Die Krönung war dann 2 Stunden später das Erbrechen eines Familienmitgliedes, von wahrscheinlich einem Hähnchenfilet, welches ihr dann 1 Tag Urlaubsspaß gekostet hat. Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend und sein Geld nicht wert. Eigentlich wünscht man sich schönere Erinnerungen für einen solchen besonderen Tag.

Great location with a view of the sea. Plenty of outdoor seating, including a beach chair, sheltered from the wind, for a drink. We had a reservation for the evening and had a good meal and an even better meal. My tuna salad bowl was the largest and best I've ever had. Fresh, lots of different salads, and plenty of tuna. My husband's slightly different pizza was also very good. Friendly service inside and outside.

We pre-ordered, so we didn't have to wait on our two visits. The location is very nice, although it quickly gets very hot in the protected glass area, even with prolonged exposure to the sun. Regarding the food, I would like to make three suggestions for improvement. 1. The bowls for the appetizer salads are too small. Eating them without spilling some of the salad onto the table is simply difficult. 2. The salad bouquet for the main course is generous, but completely unmarinated. To prevent these parts from ending up in the trash, 1-2 teaspoons of vinaigrette would be helpful. 3. The plaice fillets shouldn't be swimming in the melted butter, allowing the crispy crust to soak and soak. In this case, butter in a separate bowl would enhance the enjoyment of the plaice fillets. These are just small things, but they will make my next visit a pleasure and guarantee our return.

Matjes with fried potatoes: a small portion of matjes that was just average quality. The fried potatoes were below average. The overall quantity was small, and the price was far too high. We were disappointed; things used to be better. We had to signal loudly before the waiter even came; there was a lack of overview and not enough staff for so many guests. We won't be back; it was simply too bad. The beautiful view of the sea was a positive.

First, it took forever to order, then the beer was lukewarm and tasted stale. Not even remotely recommendable.

We were there in cold weather and the place was completely overcrowded. Therefore we sat at the entrance which was not protected from the wind. The service was overwhelmed. Too many guests for too few staff. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. Blankets and hot radiators were available upon request. I assume we were a bit unlucky with our visit 😉 but the restaurant itself can do much more

Unfortunately you have to give stars. Have been guests here at least once during our Easter vacation over 10 years. Unfortunately that didn't happen this year. We made 3 attempts and all of them failed, instead we only received derogatory gestures and comments from probably the unfriendly service in all of Northern Germany. Well, as we all know, pride comes before a fall.

Highly recommended. Beautiful view of the beach and sea. The food is excellent and more than plentiful. The service staff are very friendly and also give good tips when choosing. All in all, a great restaurant where the guest is still valued.

The restaurant right on the beach is in a great location with a beautiful view if you get one of these places with a view. My shrimp were swimming around so much oil that it was unappetizing. I had ordered mushrooms, they were so shriveled and overcooked that there was hardly any left and they were floating in the oil. The salad came to the table dry without salad dressing. I was disappointed and won't go there to eat anymore. Too bad

The Riffkieker is directly adjacent to the surf cafe. It's not easy to see where one begins and the other ends when you first visit. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner! The food is great and not too expensive considering the location. The service is on point! We were there at different times and each time we felt very comfortable as guests.

View and ambience are great, service was good too. Unfortunately we weren't so happy with our meal. Our main course came almost directly with the aperitif, which was a shame. The online menu was different from the one on site. Burger was a bit poor. For dessert I had the chocolate cake, which was also rather disappointing. Two small.. mini muffins? Two three splashes of sauce and a whole three! Cherries. Too bad.

Schöner Platz um von der Strandwanderung einzukehren und vom Deich über Strand und See zu blicken. Wir hatten nur Getränke bestellt. Sehr zu empfehlen ist der Sanddorn Grog.

Not recommended for drinking coffee. The jumbo latte is not exceptionally large and tastes unpleasantly of hot milk. There doesn't seem to be much coffee here. I didn't want to drink it, even though it cost €4.70.
