Grill STOP ... binnen un buten in Uelzen

We spontaneously visited this fast-food restaurant while passing through. The selection is very large; we opted for chicken and fries. Both were exactly as they should be: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The fries were also very crispy, and there was a generous portion of mayo and ketchup, respectively, all at a fair price. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean, and the staff was very friendly. We had absolutely no complaints and will definitely eat there again on our next trip. Thank you, keep up the good work! :)

The half chicken turned out really awful... it used to be nice and crispy, but now it's still partly pink and soggy. I think it was the worst "fast food" we've had this year.

Here they still call it Gypsy Schnitzel, and it tastes just like it! Simply delicious! Every time we're in town, we stop here for a barbecue.

Grill Stop has gone downhill significantly; the staff barely speak German, there are long waiting times, and now the prices have become outrageous – it's no longer worth it. It's a shame, we're out.

Gyros with fries and chicken schnitzel with fries. The gyros was tasteless and cold. The fries were oversalted on both. The chicken schnitzel had gristle. How is that even possible? The quality wasn't what I expected for €50. Totally overpriced.

That was the last time. I ordered a cheeseburger without pickles, and there were, no joke, over 10 on it again. At that point, it can only be intentional. For your information: It wasn't busy, neither inside nor outside, and I even told them they could take their time. The manager was there, so there's no excuse.

I rated everything 5 stars because you have to remember that this is, after all, a grill and snack bar, and I've always been very satisfied.

Hmm, in principle, you can be satisfied with the service here. But is it hygienic with polished nails and/or jewelry on your hands? Even in the catering industry, you learn how to behave and prevent the growth of germs/bacteria. Personal hygiene is useless if you leave the jewelry—in this case, a wedding ring—on your finger. But at least they make sure you wear a hat, even if you have long hair.

The food at Grillstopp in Uelzen is truly delicious and served surprisingly quickly—nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the service left a somewhat unfriendly impression. Furthermore, we occasionally added items to the bill that we hadn't ordered. When we pointed this out, they insisted we had ordered them—which wasn't the case. It's a shame, because the food is top-notch, but there's definitely room for improvement in the service and customer service.

Still the best snack bar in Uelzen and a variety of dishes, German cuisine, gyros, gypsy schnitzel 😋 and of course burgers, fries.....

It's a shame the quality of the food has declined significantly. Fried potatoes are soggy and flavorless, gyros are very bland...you get the feeling the seasonings have been forgotten. I've known this place for years and unfortunately, I've noticed that the quality of the meals is getting worse. You can't complain about the prices, because everything has gotten more expensive everywhere...but for that very reason, you expect at least consistent quality.

We eat at Grill Stop regularly, and the food is generally good. We've been having Grill Stop burgers since I was a child.

We ate here today (5 people) and paid about €50 for food and drinks. There's a huge selection of food, so there's something for every taste. You're served quickly and get a pager so you know when your food is ready. So the value for money is amazing. The portion size is perfectly adequate. It's highly recommended.

Next time we're in Uelzen, we'll be happy to come back. Super delicious!

We went there on July 21, 2025, for takeaway food. It was our first and last time there, and you can complain about us, but I'm a trained chef and I've never had such a bad meal! My wife was still vomiting that night.

A disaster, we had gyros with fries. The meat was unseasoned, tasted like it was cooked but not grilled. The coleslaw was completely oversweetened, inedible. The fries were borderline delicious. I have no idea who cut the tzatziki, but it was disgusting. €15.50 is incredibly cheeky. Never again. I have no idea where the staff is caught, but right in front of us, an employee reached into the fryer with her fingers to take out a fry. Either train the staff or close down. For the sake of the employees' health. I know what fried fingers look like; they're not tasty. I see them often in my job.

For many years, I was enthusiastic about the value for money, and it tasted good, too. It's fine that the portions are getting smaller with inflation. But my gyro today was almost entirely hard – it definitely wasn't fresh. Hardly anyone could understand their order, and then you have to justify it. If you can't understand anything through the glass at the checkout, please take it down. Then maybe you'll get what you ordered and paid for ;) In any case, I'll eat somewhere else from now on. What a shame :(

Clean and the staff very friendly. The first course, fried potatoes with a fried egg, was good and plentiful. The second course, pollock fillet with fried potatoes: Unfortunately, the pollock was overcooked and therefore very dry, and the breading was extremely crispy around the edges. The fried potatoes were good except for the mostly burnt, hard bacon bits.

I've rarely eaten such delicious chicken, thank you so much. Huge portion, and the cheeseburger was also delicious. If we pass by here again, we'll definitely stop here for a bite to eat.

I quickly ordered a double fries with double mayo and ketchup. The service was very cold and unmotivated. For €8.30, I would have expected a bit more and a bit better quality. This is a fast-food restaurant. The decor is modern, and the menu is good. We opted for the currywurst menu. It was a very large portion (sausage, fries, and a drink). Everything was hot and fresh. I wasn't impressed with the sausage, but that's a matter of personal taste. The food came really quickly and was relatively inexpensive. The tables were clean and tidy. All the staff were very friendly. Parking is available next door in the supermarket parking lot.

I've known Grill Stop since I was a kid. Just like before, they have great burgers with special sauce, a wide selection of dishes like homemade solyanka or potato pancakes. I love the Chicken GrillStopper! The staff is always friendly and sometimes jokes. There's even a points card. First of all, the Mega Pita was really delicious. I happened to be driving past the shop and stopped spontaneously. I decided on the Mega Pita. I was a bit surprised when the waitress called out that the food was ready and gave me a small piece wrapped in aluminum foil. When I got home, I opened the pita and found it was a broken doner kebab roll with pita filling. For 10.50 euros, I definitely expected a bit more of a portion. I don't even want to know how big the regular pita is. As I said, very tasty, but never again at that price.

I'm disappointed. I ordered a gyro with fries from Backnes to take away. Unfortunately, it wasn't a gyro, but a thick piece of meat with no gyro flavor. Not much meat but lots of fries. 🍟. My second meal was herring with fried potatoes and beans with bacon. It's a shame the herring wasn't wrapped separately, and the beans were too soft and drowned in the sauce.

Just under €17 for a small plate of gyros with 10 fries and a bit of cabbage? Never again. You don't get full but you get paid as if you were in a 5 star restaurant. Cramps in the stomach after eating.

2 years ago I gave the Grill STOP a positive review and wrote: Delicious burgers - plenty of parking spaces in front of the door. The only drawback is that the tables are a bit sticky (wiped with dish soap?) - but they were clean. Today (May 3, 2025) I have to change my review: It smelled so bad at the food counter (outside) that I briefly considered whether I should take any food with me. I then decided on 3 hamburgers to take away... 13.80 euros for the trash... because - unfortunately - it was only when I got home that I saw that the patties were completely dry, the rolls were sticky/musty and the sauces didn't taste fresh, and the fried onions were also totally mushy. I rarely complain, but the quality of the food has deteriorated A LOT in the last two years (and especially in the last half of the year)... So far I haven't written anything about it, but TODAY'S experience, sorry... I can't leave it uncommented. I am disappointed and upset.

I grew up with the GRILL-STOP, so to speak, and ate hamburgers here as a child when the snack bar still resembled a larger wooden bus stop. Now, about 40 years later, I still get the delicious burgers in the same form, which is really TOP. Other dishes, such as currywurst fries or a gyros pita, are still delicious, but I find the portions much smaller today compared to back then. Unfortunately, the PRICES have increased significantly, and I now find it completely excessive! One reason why I can unfortunately no longer dine there with my son very often. Unfortunately, the past inflation also contributed to the pricing policy here, but was not reversed in favor of the customers. Could you rethink that?! That's my criticism. Otherwise definitely recommended...

Unfortunately, our food was disappointing (Croque) we usually eat up anyway, but even our children didn't eat it, different than expected and unfortunately not tasteful.. pulled chicken and vegetarian

I read here all the time "I've actually always been very happy here" or "it used to be really good here, but now..." etc. Why do people always only judge something when it's bad and not before when it was good. And why are you so cowardly and don't complain directly when something is wrong? It's really bad, I particularly notice it here, really disgusting! This was our first time eating here and we really enjoyed it, except for the fries. The restaurant was clean and the toilets were also clean. The food came quickly, the staff was friendly. I bought three half chickens today and I am absolutely disappointed. The quality was poor - the meat was completely dry, inedible and simply not edible. It was so dry that it barely slid down. For over €30 I definitely expect something different. That was my first and last visit there! Never again!
