Still the best snack bar in Uelzen and a variety of dishes, German cuisine, gyros, gypsy schnitzel 😋 and of course burgers, fries.....

It's a shame the quality of the food has declined significantly. Fried potatoes are soggy and flavorless, gyros are very bland...you get the feeling the seasonings have been forgotten. I've known this place for years and unfortunately, I've noticed that the quality of the meals is getting worse. You can't complain about the prices, because everything has gotten more expensive everywhere...but for that very reason, you expect at least consistent quality.

So disappointed. We used to enjoy eating here. Today we got a semolina soup with three small lumps of semolina, a few cherries, and a strawberry for €6.50. High prices for no quality!

We eat at Grill Stop regularly, and the food is generally good. We've been having Grill Stop burgers since I was a child.

We ate here today (5 people) and paid about €50 for food and drinks. There's a huge selection of food, so there's something for every taste. You're served quickly and get a pager so you know when your food is ready. So the value for money is amazing. The portion size is perfectly adequate. It's highly recommended.

Next time we're in Uelzen, we'll be happy to come back. Super delicious!

We went there on July 21, 2025, for takeaway food. It was our first and last time there, and you can complain about us, but I'm a trained chef and I've never had such a bad meal! My wife was still vomiting that night.

A disaster, we had gyros with fries. The meat was unseasoned, tasted like it was cooked but not grilled. The coleslaw was completely oversweetened, inedible. The fries were borderline delicious. I have no idea who cut the tzatziki, but it was disgusting. €15.50 is incredibly cheeky. Never again. I have no idea where the staff is caught, but right in front of us, an employee reached into the fryer with her fingers to take out a fry. Either train the staff or close down. For the sake of the employees' health. I know what fried fingers look like; they're not tasty. I see them often in my job.

Clean and the staff very friendly. The first course, fried potatoes with a fried egg, was good and plentiful. The second course, pollock fillet with fried potatoes: Unfortunately, the pollock was overcooked and therefore very dry, and the breading was extremely crispy around the edges. The fried potatoes were good except for the mostly burnt, hard bacon bits.

For many years, I was enthusiastic about the value for money, and it tasted good, too. It's fine that the portions are getting smaller with inflation. But my gyro today was almost entirely hard – it definitely wasn't fresh. Hardly anyone could understand their order, and then you have to justify it. If you can't understand anything through the glass at the checkout, please take it down. Then maybe you'll get what you ordered and paid for ;) In any case, I'll eat somewhere else from now on. What a shame :(

Excellent experience for a non-local! As someone from outside the region and visiting for the first time, I was really impressed. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were definitely decent. The value for money was also absolutely spot on. I was particularly impressed by how quickly the food was ready. I would definitely eat here again and highly recommend it!

I quickly ordered a double fries with double mayo and ketchup. The service was very cold and unmotivated. For €8.30, I would have expected a bit more and a bit better quality. This won't be my type of fast-food restaurant. The entire staff here urgently needs to be trained in accordance with current food regulations.

This is a fast-food restaurant. The decor is modern, and the menu is good. We opted for the currywurst menu. It was a very large portion (sausage, fries, and a drink). Everything was hot and fresh. I wasn't impressed with the sausage, but that's a matter of personal taste. The food came really quickly and was relatively inexpensive. The tables were clean and tidy. All the staff were very friendly. Parking is available next door in the supermarket parking lot.

I've known Grill Stop since I was a kid. Just like before, they have great burgers with special sauce, a wide selection of dishes like homemade solyanka or potato pancakes. I love the Chicken GrillStopper! The staff is always friendly and sometimes jokes. There's even a points card. Unfortunately, but understandably, it's not that cheap anymore, and three times my fries were a bit overseasoned. Still, they're definitely recommended for a quick snack!

First of all, the Mega Pita was really delicious. I happened to be driving past the shop and stopped spontaneously. I decided on the Mega Pita. I was a bit surprised when the waitress called out that the food was ready and gave me a small piece wrapped in aluminum foil. When I got home, I opened the pita and found it was a broken doner kebab roll with pita filling. For 10.50 euros, I definitely expected a bit more of a portion. I don't even want to know how big the regular pita is. As I said, very tasty, but never again at that price.

I'm disappointed. I ordered a gyro with fries from Backnes to take away. Unfortunately, it wasn't a gyro, but a thick piece of meat with no gyro flavor. Not much meat but lots of fries. 🍟. My second meal was herring with fried potatoes and beans with bacon. It's a shame the herring wasn't wrapped separately, and the beans were too soft and drowned in the sauce.

Fast food restaurant with plenty of comfortable seating both inside and outside. Large selection of dishes and fast food. Good price, quantity is sufficient 👍, taste is OK. In my opinion the food was a bit too salty. But that's a matter of taste.

Just under €17 for a small plate of gyros with 10 fries and a bit of cabbage? Never again. You don't get full but you get paid as if you were in a 5 star restaurant. Cramps in the stomach after eating.

2 years ago I gave the Grill STOP a positive review and wrote: Delicious burgers - plenty of parking spaces in front of the door. The only drawback is that the tables are a bit sticky (wiped with dish soap?) - but they were clean. Today (May 3, 2025) I have to change my review: It smelled so bad at the food counter (outside) that I briefly considered whether I should take any food with me. I then decided on 3 hamburgers to take away... 13.80 euros for the trash... because - unfortunately - it was only when I got home that I saw that the patties were completely dry, the rolls were sticky/musty and the sauces didn't taste fresh, and the fried onions were also totally mushy. I rarely complain, but the quality of the food has deteriorated A LOT in the last two years (and especially in the last half of the year)... So far I haven't written anything about it, but TODAY'S experience, sorry... I can't leave it uncommented. I am disappointed and upset.

I grew up with the GRILL-STOP, so to speak, and ate hamburgers here as a child when the snack bar still resembled a larger wooden bus stop. Now, about 40 years later, I still get the delicious burgers in the same form, which is really TOP. Other dishes, such as currywurst fries or a gyros pita, are still delicious, but I find the portions much smaller today compared to back then. Unfortunately, the PRICES have increased significantly, and I now find it completely excessive! One reason why I can unfortunately no longer dine there with my son very often. Unfortunately, the past inflation also contributed to the pricing policy here, but was not reversed in favor of the customers. Could you rethink that?! That's my criticism. Otherwise definitely recommended...

Unfortunately, our food was disappointing (Croque) we usually eat up anyway, but even our children didn't eat it, different than expected and unfortunately not tasteful.. pulled chicken and vegetarian

Well located, great value for money, nice seating, even outside in the sun. Smoking lounge available if you like - but children are left outside!!! - clean toilet rooms

Everything was clean and tidy, which I think is always the most important thing in reviews. My kids had rice pudding—a huge portion. The waitress told us right away that the kids could take the rest to go in boxes—which they couldn't manage. That was really sweet! We had chicken and gyros. Everything was delicious. And thanks again to the super friendly staff.

Ate kale with Bregenwurst and fried potatoes. Actually quite good. Only the kale was quite salty to our liking. The waiting time was pleasantly short.

Before I even rate anything, I have to get one thing out of the way... I read here all the time "I've actually always been very happy here" or "it used to be really good here, but now..." etc. Why do people always only judge something when it's bad and not before when it was good. And why are you so cowardly and don't complain directly when something is wrong? It's really bad, I particularly notice it here, really disgusting! This was our first time eating here and we really enjoyed it, except for the fries. The restaurant was clean and the toilets were also clean. The food came quickly, the staff was friendly. Price performance is also okay. We'll definitely come back.

The food tasted good. Only half the chicken and the gyros were a bit dry. It could have been a little juicier. I would have expected a little better quality given the prices quoted. The staff was friendly and the waiting time was relatively short. All in all worth a visit.

Totally unfriendly staff, who don't understand each other despite talking louder, forget half of it and the food looks so strange and the burger was so overfilled that you could hardly eat it. I bought three half chickens today and I am absolutely disappointed. The quality was poor - the meat was completely dry, inedible and simply not edible. It was so dry that it barely slid down. For over €30 I definitely expect something different. That was my first and last visit there! Never again!

The portions are plentiful but the gyro seasoning wasn't really my thing 😕 ... But as we all know, tastes are different - everyone has to find out for themselves. The prices are reasonable, but on the higher end for such an establishment.

The snack bar is okay, but unfortunately there are no disabled-accessible toilets. You cannot use the toilets if you are in a wheelchair. I was there in the narrow hallway, trapped as a wheelchair user.

Otherwise, I was always satisfied, but the last few times: long waiting times, the order was explained to the employee 3 times and it was received incorrectly, unfriendly staff, meat was tough, gyros burnt, fries too salty. I hope it will be again...but for now I'd rather go to the Greek restaurant, where the price is almost as "expensive" or "cheap" as at the Grill Stop!

We got to know the Grill Stop three years ago when we were moving and since then we stop here when we drive through Uelzen! Food is always delicious!

The dimensions are barely noticeable from the outside. Nice staff at the counter takes care of the order, variety every day. The food is then quickly provided in the kitchen area. And handed out at the counter. This is also available outside of the house, separately. Everything well maintained and clean. Good quality at reasonable price. They are normal sized portions. The convenient location and good parking options also allow motorhome drivers to take a break.

We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, a small hot dog and a giant hot dog. Total with 2 Cola Zero 25.50 euros. For the price I expected fresh goods. The citizen has a soft bun on the outside and a toasted inside. They came from the microwave. Rolls dried out, cucumber slices totally hot. The hot dogs came with a roasted or microwaved sausage. A glass of Cola, 0.3 for 3.80 euros. Personally I found it completely overpriced. It may be that prices have increased. I won't eat there again.

Solider store is always quite busy. The double stopper is great and so is the currywurst with fries.
