I took the burger they recommended, the best burger I've ever eaten, I'm still enjoying it

It was my first time there and I was very pleasantly surprised. There are lots of variations to the burgers, and the homemade dips are delicious.

Everything tastes so good here! There's a new burger of the month every month, so I eat here every month!

The food was truly delicious. I haven't been there in a while, but the food remains consistently excellent. I had a pleasant and relaxing evening there. The staff were very friendly. You can sit outside, but you're sitting very close to the street.

A great choice for a juicy clean burger

Grill 69 is the former Cafe Blue in Dortmund. It's inconveniently located for out-of-towners. While there are plenty of parking spaces nearby, finding one in a residential area isn't always easy. The opening hours until 10 p.m. are misleading, as drinks stop at 9 p.m. Why would anyone stop by if they can't consume anything else?

I highly recommend Grill 69 to anyone who loves delicious food, likes to try something new, or simply wants to spend a pleasant evening with delicious food. The food is super delicious, always fresh, and I also recommend the homemade iced teas. The staff puts a lot of effort into it and is always friendly. Due to an illness, I have to eat gluten-free, and they really take great care of that. The chef personally makes sure the food is gluten-free, so I don't have to worry about it. A 10/10 and 100% recommended! Thank you for this great place!

I visited grill 69 in Dortmund and was completely impressed. The food is truly delicious, generously portioned, and of a very high standard. You can tell that quality is important here. Everything is prepared fresh and with love. The ambiance is rustic, yet tasteful and pleasantly understated. The service was also excellent: friendly, attentive, and, above all, very fast. The menu is pleasantly concise, not overly elaborate, but offers a good selection of dishes, side dishes, and drinks. The prices are also absolutely fair: the value for money is simply spot on. I'll definitely be back and can recommend the place without reservation!

I can say that it is a different place. The burger was really delicious. I can say that it is a spacious and wide place. I think the price is reasonable. Although it is far from me, it is a place I would prefer to eat a burger.

Guter Burger bei guten Fries. Leider wurden wir, da spontan zu zweit ohne Reservierung unterwegs, an den Katzentisch im hinteren Bereich befördert. Sowohl bei Ankunft als auch beim Verlassen wäre vorn durchaus noch Platz gewesen. Ja, wir hätten danach fragen können, daher hier ohne Bewertung. Gut war die Frage nach der gewünschten Garstufe, was jedoch leider in der Ausführung nicht so ganz geklappt hat: Medium geordert und Medium Well/Well Done bekommen. Geschmacklich dennoch gut. Leider mitten in einer belebten Wohngegend gelegen und nicht mal so eben mit dem PKW für Auswärtige erreichbar. Preislich m.E. eher zwischen Mittel- und Oberklasse für nen Burger gelegen. Im Nachgang auch den Lieferservice getestet und für gut befunden.

As an American living here this place hit the spot. Great burger selections, great sides and sauces, and a wonderful peach tea. Served was fantastic and the playlist was great. Happy to have found this place and enjoyed it a lot. I will be back.

Outstanding! The fries were crispy and delicious. The monthly burger March was indescribably delicious and the 69 dip rounded both off perfectly. Even “simple” burgers like the cheeseburger stand out here. The combination with Bergmann makes the restaurant a real pleasure for fans of local beer. The guest room is very cozy and harmonious thanks to the dark walls. The ambience suits the city and the restaurant. The service is very nice and accommodating and always keeps an eye on the guests. The toilets are very clean and generally nicely designed. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the medium to affordable range. Conclusion: If you want to eat delicious food in Dortmund and don't want to spend too much, you've come to the right place👍🏻

For us the best burger restaurant ever. What's particularly nice is that there are always the classics but also a current, seasonal, creative menu every month - always for meat eaters and vegans. Everything is homemade - you can tell! Unfortunately we rarely come to Dortmund, but when we do, Grill 69 is at the top of our to-do list!!

We were there spontaneously on a Monday evening. We ate the two November monthly burgers and the smoked pork. The side dishes were so generous that we couldn't finish everything (taking them with us wasn't a problem). The quick service was heartwarming, the burgers were inimitable taste experiences and the ambience was very authentic. Always my pleasure!!!!

Sehr leckeres Essen, für jeden was zu finden. Ob vegan oder nicht, hier wird jeder satt. Das Zuvorkommende Personal hatte immer einen lockeren Spruch auf den Lippen und war alles andere als steif. War nicht der letzte Besuch.

Several vegan options, service was also good, only the outside area is rather dull with beer tent sets. But it looks better inside. Our potato patty was a bit inconsistent, which is why we would go with the falafel burger next time.

We have been regular customers for several years. When there's more going on, there's a delicious Bergmann Pils available. Play area for children, nice service, great boss and… best burgers! Everyone we took there with us was also thrilled. Just keep it up!

Came here spontaneously and don't regret it! The September burger with mango pumpkin chutney and goat cheese was super delicious! I'm already looking forward to the October burger.

Great quality of the food. Price-performance ratio is just okay. Beer a bit expensive. Service attentive enough but a bit slow, especially when delivery drivers are crowding the counter.

Confident service that keeps its nerve and remains friendly even if its online ordering and debit card system fails (even if the failure poses an existential threat to its business). Nice industrial atmosphere, honest food just like we are here in the Ruhrpott, no fancy stuff, just good.

Very nice location. Rustic furnishings. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. There were three of us there and we got three perfect burgers 🍔. The fries were really tasty and crunchy. Everything to the point. Can only recommend it. The only drawback was that it wasn't easy to park in this location. You have to l Drive around the block there more often.

We've been coming here every now and then for years: delicious, fair prices, cozy, wishes are catered for. Great! Gluten-free burger buns (if only ordered in advance) would be great!

Rarely have I seen such an attentive, friendly and competent restaurant owner. He introduced himself to us as a “girl for everything” - great attitude! The service was more than great! The menu is extensive and due to the many options that can be combined with each other, there is really something for EVERYONE - whether vegan, vegetarian or "fitness-friendly". As a guest you feel individually recognized and cared for. We were there with a group of 8 people and without exception everyone was completely satisfied with their food and drink. The ingredients were all fresh and high quality. I could rave a lot more, but there isn't enough space. Conclusion: COME BY and experience it for yourself!

You're at a loss for words... The burger was very tasty! Despite the sauces on the burger, the bacon was still crispy. The meat patty was homemade and tasted completely different than what you usually get. With the fries there were homemade fresh dips, which we also enjoyed. We'll be back and it's definitely worth recommending!

I've been here every now and then for years and since the best burger shop "Bu... Be..." closed down, the "Grill 69" is the BOSS in Dortmund. The burgers are really first-class with grilled patties, French fries (or sweet potatoes if desired), and a good selection of various homemade dips make the burger dish a pleasure. The friendly service draws local Bergmann beer from the tap and the right music plays in the background. Early reservation is recommended.

Super tasty and absolutely a must. Requesting a table beforehand makes sense... The only drawback... parking spaces... it costs a flat 55 euros. But whatever...it's worth it... The burgers 🍔 are always delicious and the selection is appropriate. Fresh and a lot of it homemade.

Ordered burgers well done to go and they were both bloody. Also had no napkins in the bag.

What can I say? We were with a friend and fiancée here. The burgers were amazing but that's not the important bit. When the owner and his wife knew that it was our first time in Dortmund, they instantly started helping us on what to do and where to go. Everything with such friendliness and empathy. It really made our day. They even spoke Spanish (my mother tongue) to us. It was certainly a highlight on our mini Euro trip with our friend. Thank you guys and keep up the good work!

Be it the burgers, the fries or even the delicious (tapped) beer! If you look at a few details you will see that even the tables are unique and simply great to look at. The sanitary facilities are clean and there are not the classic paper towels to dry your hands, but rather small towels that are intended for one-time use and are then washed. Tip that every meat lover in the restaurant knows. Let the citizens fry you medium rare! We will be back.
