Big Boost Burger in Dortmund

We visited Dortmund again after seven years and stopped by Big Boost Burger. The quality of the burgers hasn't changed, and they taste really good.

Burgers, cars, and amazing people making the food. I can't say much more than that. Small suggestion for improvement: get a screen that displays the order number.😁

My first visit. I've seen it many times on YouTube, and honestly, you get exactly what you see. Nice cars, cool style, billiard arcade, just a great place to hang out. The food was ready quickly, the meat was very good, and the fries were delicious. According to my friend, the rolls aren't quite as good as they used to be, but I can't judge that, and I found these rolls very tasty and just right. Last but definitely not least, the staff. Everyone is super professional, super relaxed, and friendly. The overall concept is a complete success; many thanks to everyone involved. It's on my to-do list for every future visit to Dortmund.

I am there regularly now for the second time the bread is soaked from the bottom of the fat which is a bit annoying and the burgers were also warmer

I would rate the burger 7/10. It's a really good bun with fresh salad, but I think the meat could be improved. The taste is perfectly fine, of course, but it doesn't blow me away. The highlight of this place is definitely the ambiance, which is really impressive even for someone who isn't a "car guy" (C'est moi). If you're in the area, Big Boost Burger is highly recommended, but I would only recommend traveling a long way for car enthusiasts.

The food was amazing and definitely worth a visit. The only downside was the cleaning lady, who was rude to my friend because her 3-year-old nephew was already sitting down while she finished wiping the table, and it didn't bother her at all. But otherwise, it's amazing.

I wasn't expecting much in terms of food, but I was all the more surprised. The burgers were delicious, the meat tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection. Seven of us were there, and everyone loved them. Side dishes weren't remarkable, but they were okay. The atmosphere is fantastic for car enthusiasts, albeit a bit loud and hectic. The place is accordingly busy, especially on weekends, and you can expect a wait of 10-30 minutes or more. There are limited parking spaces on the property and on the street, although there is at least one EnBW triple charger.

Highly recommended for anyone who wants to eat a delicious burger, even for non-car fans.

It was delicious, the price was more than reasonable, and I found it fascinating that the cars from the videos were there. June 18th, I was there again, ordered a bacon burger, and got a burger with or without bacon. It can happen, but it shouldn't.

The crowd was large, but the line was processed relatively quickly by the hard-working staff. The light-colored burger buns were nice and fluffy, the meat was perfectly cooked, and the fries were crispy and perfectly salty. The drink prices can be described as reasonable, and the burger (meal) price is justifiable. A cleaning staff member regularly cleans the tables, which is also worth mentioning! Therefore, a full recommendation for any doubters!

I wouldn't drive here just for the burger (I'm from Hanover), but I always come here when I'm passing through on business trips. The ambiance is amazing; JP offers a great atmosphere there. Looking at the cars is fun, and the food is good. Always worth a visit for me.

I'm going out on a limb here, but... For me, the burgers at Big Boost are by far the best I've ever had the pleasure of eating in Germany.

Very fast service and incredibly delicious burgers and fries. The atmosphere is fantastic. There's a lot on offer and it's a great place to while away the time. A more varied selection of burgers would be great. There are a few different ones, but they're very bacon-heavy or very similar. However, these are just complaints. The meat quality is very good!

Simply great and it tastes delicious

So, the food was very good. However, the staff seemed to be a bit unenthusiastic. They were having a good chat among themselves, but unfortunately, the line didn't get any shorter. At the end, the blonde lady practically threw our food onto the tray. If she had thrown the fries a little harder, they probably would have catapulted the tray all the way to my table. Overall, I can recommend the food—but if I want to see grumpy faces, I might as well spend Christmas with my family.

We were there on Friday at 9:00 PM and didn't have to wait. I realize that things can vary. I had a vegan burger with a "no-chicken" patty. It was incredibly good! The bread was fluffy and the flavor was a 10. There were six of us there. The others had "regular" burgers, meaning with meat, and were also very satisfied. Absolutely recommend it. And if you go later, you won't have to wait.

I came to Dortmund from Potsdam and spontaneously went to bigboost Burger. One of the best burgers I've ever eaten. Very friendly staff and a super cool design. Top, top, top!

The burgers were really good. You can watch everything being prepared fresh. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for car lovers.

What can I say? It was simply: Wow! First of all, a huge compliment to the super-nice employee in the clothing store – he even greeted my dogs! When we went back the next day, he immediately said, "Hey, you were here yesterday!" You rarely experience that kind of attention. The cleaning lady with the red hair was very friendly; we had a really nice chat. The burger was divine! The spark plugs were amazing; we've rarely had such good fries. In short: We felt at home. We'd love to come back, hungry, with dogs, and a sense of humor!

Burgers aren't really my thing. But people absolutely love it. I'd also like smaller burgers that don't completely destroy you. 🤣 Otherwise, there's not much to complain about. We love JP, and that's why you simply have to go there...

As everyone knows, this is probably the best burger in North Rhine-Westphalia. Despite the busy pace of the place, you can easily request special burgers, and they arrive without any problems. The atmosphere is unique. It's relatively noisy inside, but that definitely doesn't detract from the quality of the food. Anyone who has eaten there once will definitely come back :)

We were there with eight people. The place is diner-style and has some really cool design ideas here and there. There's a small arcade to pass the waiting time. You order your food at the counter on one side and pick it up at the other. So, service is relative in this context, but the staff were definitely friendly, and the food arrived quickly. Finding a seat was a bit challenging at around 8 p.m. on a Saturday, given our group size, but with a little waiting, we managed. For couples or smaller groups, however, this shouldn't be such a problem. About the food: The menu is manageable, but I generally don't find it a problem. Various burgers, sausages, and fries—that's it. The burger was rock solid, with no frills or gimmicks. I liked that it wasn't a brioche bun, but white bread, which, judging by the look of the place, is also made in-house. The vegetables seemed fresh and still had a good bite. I found the burger sauces to be rather subtle in flavor, which wouldn't have been a major problem if the meat had been a real 'bummer'. That's my biggest criticism. When I focus on burgers, the patty has to deliver. It certainly doesn't have to be Wagyu, but a bit more intense beef flavor would have been nice. The patty's consistency was good, but it lacked flavor. The fries were also tasty and had a good crunch. The price-performance ratio was good, falling solidly between fast food chains and premium burger joints. Overall, it was a nice visit, and we all left full.

The ambiance is truly a 10/10 for car fans and tuning enthusiasts. Eating one of the truly excellent burgers in such an atmosphere is truly something special. The staff are super friendly and in a very good mood, which creates a feeling of good vibe and welcome in the burger restaurant. All in all, the price and the food are highly recommended, and you can say it's definitely worth a visit.

We've been going there every time we pass through Dortmund for the first year, and unfortunately, we've noticed that the quality of the food has declined significantly. The meat was very tough and bland, and the fries were extremely greasy, almost rancid. The restrooms were dirty, which is a real shame considering the burger, fries, and drink cost €19.50 per person. I expect better quality than at MC and the like. I hope you're working on it; we'd hate to have to stop going there.

The final boss (burger) is awesome. The price/performance ratio is good. There's a small car exhibition. You can play billiards and retro games. There's also a fan shop.

I visited you yesterday and ordered a meal for around €20. Unfortunately, I have to say the quality has deteriorated since my last visit (late 2024). The sweet potato fries were in the fryer too long, and some were practically burnt or dried out. The burger was also mediocre quality; the bread wasn't crispy and actually tasted very cheap. It used to be different at your place! The price-performance ratio isn't really good.

We visited JP Performance Burger for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled with the atmosphere! The place is definitely a highlight in Dortmund – designed with great attention to detail and a real eye-catcher. That alone makes a visit worthwhile. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our first impressions. After learning about the burgers through numerous YouTube videos and influencers, we had high expectations – which were sadly disappointed. The fries were very dry and strongly reminiscent of fast-food quality à la Burger King. The burgers themselves were equally disappointing: The meat was overcooked, tough, barely seasoned, and simply not flavorful. The shape of the patty also seemed carelessly done – the whole thing felt heavy on the stomach. The only bright spot: The bun was pleasantly soft and of better quality than the rest – for that, we're giving it another star. Overall, though, it's a real shame, because with so much hype and such a great location, we had expected much more.

I've been to Big Boost Burger several times and have always been satisfied, but unfortunately not today. However, it was relatively quiet. The food was excellent, but unfortunately it was the wrong one, and I had an allergy. The person serving the trays was very, very rude and even made a bossy comment about why I couldn't hear the whispered number, despite the volume. And then, unfortunately, it was the wrong burger, and I had a food intolerance. It's just a shame, but still a great experience under normal circumstances.

The workers were very motivated; you could tell they enjoyed their work. The burgers and fries were excellent, of impeccable quality, with a great bun and tasty meat. During the week, you can get a seat pretty quickly and don't have to wait long to order. We went for lunch during the week and had everything within minutes. We'll definitely be back!

Big Boost Burger delivers on its promises. You can tell that attention has been paid to every detail and that the processes are meticulously thought out. Orders are taken and prepared accordingly quickly. Even with a line stretching all the way to the entrance, we barely had to wait 15 minutes. These guys are on the ball! The food leaves nothing to be desired. The burgers are fantastic: the bacon is crispy, the meat is still pink, the sauce is delicious, the salad is crunchy, and the fries are hot and crispy. Just as it should be. All for a perfectly fair price (€17 per person) and in a unique atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Hi. I was there for the second time yesterday. The EMS was great, tasty, fresh, everything was OK. Why only 3 stars? Yesterday, as I said, I came in and was served straight away. The service was good as always. However, the food was unfortunately not as hoped and expected, as always. The fries were cold and like karbowniks. The burger man was limp and somehow dry. The meat was partially cooked and overall the burger tasted somehow dry and without effort. Especially when it's not busy, the burger should be a lot better, not just when it's full, or did I eat something out of date? I don't know how to describe it, but for the price of a good €17 for a meal, you can expect the quality to be consistently good every time. Please ask. It's particularly annoying when you have to make a huge detour of hundreds of kilometers for food and come from a long way away.

An absolute must-visit if you're in or nearby Dortmund. Part of JP Performance GmbH is the burger shop Big Boost Burger in Building 2. Here, in addition to vehicles on display (some of which are suspended from the ceiling), you'll find games, a test bench, and, of course, delicious burgers. They come in a variety of variations, including vegan and as a set meal. Drink cups, of course, feature JP design. If you're feeling a little peckish, you can order bratwurst or cheese Krakauer, among other things. A great shop; this won't be the last time I've been there.

A fabulous burger that you wouldn't expect at first. The nacho burger is highly recommended. The ambiance is, of course, a great bonus.

The burgers deserve only 5 points. The patties are cooked to perfection, the beanies taste great. The huge pile of fries was also very good. Mayo and ketchup are free. The staff is attentive and friendly, even when the crowd is busy. According to the owner, the ambiance is reminiscent of a workshop. A clear recommendation. In my opinion, these are the best burgers in the Ruhr area. Just go there and try it. You won't regret it.

Very tasty burger, very friendly staff when choosing burgers. The atmosphere is also great for car lovers. Video games (arcade) from the 80s and 90s are also there and can be played for free. Thanks. Small drawback: I wanted to use the restroom. A cleaning lady was there at the time and she yelled at me directly and very harshly, saying that she wanted to do her job. I hadn't even said anything. Then I asked her when she would be finished, as I had to go very urgently. Suddenly, I left the door closed. So I had to choose the women's restroom to relieve myself. I've never experienced anything like that in my life.

We went there for the first time yesterday. You do have to wait in line, but it went quickly. The staff ordering and serving were super friendly. Respect the crowd... The burgers were delicious, the fries were OK. But the cleaning lady was incredibly rude. We women were still sitting at our tables while the men went to look at cars. She came and wiped the table and gave me a dressing down about there being two fries lying across the table. I apologized for the children and got a lecture about how, as parents, we are ultimately responsible for our children's behavior. She's basically right, but we also cleaned the table before we ate because some adults don't know how to eat and simply don't see the two fries between the cups of Coke. It's also difficult to get food for four people on one tray, as is so common in fast-food restaurants. A crumb might end up on the table. Sorry... Oh, by the way, I was surprised by the parking nearby. The preference for lowered cars and rims somehow doesn't fit with the curbs you have to drive up or down to park on the street...🙈

Unfortunately, the sweet potato fries were only lukewarm, and the burger bread could have been a bit bigger.

We went there for the first time today. First we went to Pace and then had a burger. The line went all the way to the entrance, but we moved along quickly; it really wasn't a problem. Occasionally, the line outside was also very long, and that was in 31-degree heat, but everyone has to decide for themselves. A few umbrellas certainly wouldn't be a bad idea for the fans. Burgers were good; I personally didn't find the fries quite as tasty, but that's a matter of taste. You have to try it once, but it's enough.

First, the positive: Friendly staff when ordering and at the counter when picking up. Really tasty burgers and a great atmosphere. I would give this 5 stars. Now, the absolute no-go: my son went to the bathroom, but the soap was empty when he washed his hands. Since a cleaning lady was on her way to the restrooms, I politely told her that the soap was empty. She replied rather rudely that it could happen. I politely replied that it could happen, but that I was pointing it out so she could refill the soap. She then briefly went into the restroom area (I couldn't look any further, as it was the men's restroom), but I was standing in the hallway and came out shortly after with the gloves she was already wearing to wipe tables, or rather, sweep up crumbs. The cleaning staff here urgently needs to be trained in hygiene. We had already eaten; otherwise, I don't think I would have been able to eat another bite.

I don't know of a more sophisticated restaurant than this one, one that serves such high-quality and affordable burgers and fries.
