During the visit at the end of July, the price for souflaki was 20.90 Euro. Plus the salad with the meal1 euro! Tzatziki costs 6.70 euros The menu is greatly reduced and there are only a few expensive dishes. Conclusion: Years of visits, but that was the last!! There are Greeks friendlier and much cheaper!!! The hot sauce was only served upon request and was very little for two people. The portions were smaller than the competitors. In addition, the flesh had been burned!!! The size of the salad for an extra 1 euro was a joke!!!

First of all: if I could, I would give it 6 stars. Zorbas is a great restaurant with great and super nice owners! Here the guest is still king. We ordered bifteki, gyros and a Peloponnese plate. All dishes were very tasty. The portions were quite generous. The service was quick and attentive. We felt very comfortable here, the food tasted really tasty and we were served very nicely - honestly, what more could you want? Zorbas is a real recommendation.

After careful consideration and subsequent checking because I was there for the first time to get an impression for myself, I ordered a grill plate on the menu for €24 and I got a hot sauce on offer because the salad costs €1 extra and the suflaki was filled with something that didn't taste good at all, Giros there were only 5-6 pieces, the Metaxa sauce the amount of a tablespoon but I emphasize the liver which was very good but whether it was worth it was the value of the goods not. Tastes are different but if you're still craving it the next day, it's a mystery to me why a grill plate costs €24 but I had to pay €24.80 as a Zobras promotion... It's so easy to put something on it somewhere beaten or maybe it was the 80 cents for the hot sauce, that could be anything and from the owner who is very nice and polite but always with the arguments of the calculation, yes I as a customer also calculate what I want to afford and what I can afford if I have something for it 24€ + a part of 1€ then it is and remains 25€. I don't see anything as an offer, for a few € more I get a more pleasant taste and more for the money somewhere else. I don't want to accuse anyone of anything, perhaps a communication error. Thanks

The baked bifteki was amazing. Both in terms of taste and portion size. The price of €23.90 is absolutely justified and the salad with the main course for €1 is a great solution. The service is also excellent. We like to come back again and again.

I've been to Hanover several times on business in the last few weeks. During this time we ordered here twice and picked up the food. The staff were very friendly. The first time we were able to pick up the food after just 15 minutes. The second time after 30 minutes. All the dishes were super fresh, hot and tasted very good. I can highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back.

This year we are also using the Schlemmerblock (Hannover) to discover new things. That's how we found this Greek restaurant. We were allowed to order promotions. So delicious! A huge portion (rice, fries liver, skewer, fillet, gyros, minced meat) The leftovers were packed up for free. The side salad could be booked with the main course for 1 euro. Afterwards there was an ouzo at the house's expense.

Ich habe am 27.06.2024 einen Girosteller zum Preis von 19,70 zum mitnehmen bestellt. Für den Salat noch 1€ extra. Der bei allen andeten dabei ist. Dann gab es nicht gebug Fleisch und mir wurde ein Spieß aus ausgleich angeboten. Ich nahm an. Zu Hause sah ich dann, das nehr Pommes als Fleisch auf meinem Teller war. Unverschämt, der Besitzer hat mich das letzte Mal gesehen. So wenig, für so viel Geld. Schämt Euch.

Since we have the gourmet book, we thought we would go to Zobras. The service is super nice and I have rarely experienced it like that. The atmosphere needs to be renovated. A new coat of paint makes a big difference. Just like the furniture, looks worn out. The food.........it was OK and there was enough on the plate. But the prices are way too expensive. I don't know of any Greek restaurant that is so expensive. When I compare it is 3 - 6 euros too expensive and unfortunately there was no salad included. Only with an additional charge and the greeting from the kitchen doesn't help either. We saw the prices at the entrance but since we only had to pay one, it didn't matter. It's a shame that I have to rate it like that because the staff (I think the owners) are really very friendly. My addendum to the owner's answer: With every answer I read the prices are yesterday. True. But every restaurant has it and there is no Greek restaurant in Hanover that is that expensive. If others pay it, it's ok. Renovation, Corona, yes, everything could have been renovated like many other companies have done.

The gourmet block also led us to this restaurant. You have to give this restaurant full marks. Everyone there is super nice and friendly. The food was great and plentiful. We felt very comfortable there. I can't understand why some people are upset about the prices. The VAT has increased and nothing is cheaper.

We are always very happy when we meet for a perfect evening with perfect food with loving hosts in an authentically and typically decorated restaurant. Today is finally another evening like that... The fantastic food makes us dream of long beaches, friendly people, sun and lots of time for the important things in life; namely time for enjoyment and the people in your life. Some people will probably say that it's too expensive for them... so what... I'll tell you very clearly: then go to Meckes!!! Eating with friends is the greatest happiness and priceless!!!!

The “Schlemmerblock” (pay for two dishes, two are free) took us to Zorbas on Möckernstrasse. At first glance, the “typical Greek restaurant around the corner” that has always existed in the neighborhood. And the menu was structured in exactly the same way. There is meat, meat and more meat. This is exactly how fans of “traditional” Greek cuisine like it in Germany. The “baked gyros” cost a whopping €22.40, while the “Athenplatte” was available for €24.90. From our point of view (four people) an exorbitant price level. Without the Schlemmerblock we certainly wouldn't have stopped there. Meanwhile, a small “salad bar” is obligatory at “Greek”, “Turkish” or “Balkan cuisine” at no extra charge, but not at Zorbas! My “side salad” cost extra! We really liked the taste of the food!! The portions were generous and I was given the rest of the gyros, which my wife ate with appetite the next day. However, the price/performance ratio of the Zorbas has become “unbalanced”. Unfortunately, even the obligatory farewell ouzo or the greeting from the kitchen didn't change that.

For me the best Greek restaurant. The food tastes typical of the country (great!) and the portions are generous. Price-performance completely justified. The service is also absolutely perfect. We always like to come back.

We always like to come by for food and drinks. The atmosphere at Zorbas is very familiar and friendly. You just feel comfortable there. It's not for nothing that you meet many regular guests there. The food is always delicious and the portions are hard to manage. Of course, special requests will also be taken into account as far as possible. We really like the newly introduced promotion card. That's a great idea. Many thanks to the whole team for the great evenings that we have been able to spend there at Zorbas for many, many years. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

My Greek brother-in-law would certainly not recommend the Zorbas restaurant. The reception is friendly, Greek and attentive, but as we all know, that's not enough to give it a special touch. The ambience is that of a simple Greek tavern. The menu is very clear and not a revelation for fans of Greek food culture. The basic components of meat preparation can be found with a few vegetable alternatives or even fish. The waiting time shortener made from a few pepperoni, tomatoes and sheep's cheese sounds good, but due to the small quantity for the number of people ordering it should have been saved or replaced with tarama or a garlic olive dip. The choice between 4 pan dishes and the plated dishes is not very convincing, especially since the rice that was ordered is served directly in the pan for the sake of simplicity. This is not very appealing but has the advantage that the small amount of rice is not noticeable. The rice is ok. but not very aromatic. The stir fry didn't live up to the asking price. Despite the sharp increase in purchase prices and the increase in VAT, which I take into account, we did not have the impression that the quality was equivalent. The portions of the plated meals were good, but not commensurate with the price. The drinks overall were ok. but also rather upscale. Overall, we had the impression that Greek hospitality was only fulfilled in the interpersonal area.

There were four of us there with the gourmet block and we were informed that the salad was no longer included in the dishes but cost extra (€3.70). The prices for the vegetarian plate were quite high at over €20. There is only one side dish for each dish, the extra portion of rice cost €4.50. Our waiting time of over 1 hour was too long, the table next to us had already received the starters while we were still waiting for our food. The salad we ordered was added upon request. Drink prices vary Wheat beer €5.10 for 0.5 liters while malt beer is very expensive at €5.20 for 0.33 liters, Cola is only available in bottles and is only 0.2 liters. The ouzo on the house afterwards was nice. We probably won't eat there again.

Have been guests at the restaurant for many years. Prices raised outrageously, no more salad. A glass of house wine €7.90 1/3 filled. A glass of ouzo from the house is half full, then leave it alone. You won't see us again.

Good food with top service. You feel comfortable here and there is always time for a snack 😉 A highlight was the special dessert. See photo. We'd love to come back.

I celebrated my 60th birthday there 8 years ago and when I'm in Hanover from the Black Forest, a visit to Dimi is always a must! A great and very warm atmosphere!

Ich war das erste Mal dort, super Empfang, das Personal freundlich und lustig man hat das Gefühl man kennt sich schon. Die Portionen sind mehr als reichlich, was auch die Preise rechtfertigt. Mein Fazit schönes Familien Restaurant mit dem zwang wieder zu kommen.

Essen (gegrilltes Gemüse, Zaziki und Zeus-Platte) fand ich super. Das Fleisch, typisch griechisch, ziemlich durch, aber trotzdem noch saftig. Beilagensalat ist ok gewesen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Es gibt einen separaten Raucherbereich. Das fand ich toll, obwohl ich den selber nicht genutzt habe. Dessen Luftversorgung ist so geschickt durchdacht, dass man im angrenzenden Hauptbereich Nichts riecht. 1 Stern ziehe ich für das Ambiente ab. Update 18.11.22 und 23.12.2023 Alle Eindrücke haben sich wieder bestätigt.

Mein Griechisches Restaurant seit Jahren immer sehr lecker

Der Schlemmerblock hat mich mit einem Kumpel erstmalig ins Zorbas geführt. Ein typischer Grieche mit treuen Stammgästen. Die Karte ist übersichtlich aber lässt keine Wünsche offen. Zaziki super cremig und mit ordentlich Wumms. Auf den ersten Blick scheinen die Preise etwas höher als normal, aber das relativiert sich, wenn man die Portionen sieht. Bifteki ein echtes Pfund mit ordentlich Pommes und Spezielsauce, Atheneplatte von allem etwas: Suflaki sehr zart, Gyros weder zu trocken noch zu fettig, Suzuki saftig und würzig und die Leber hauchdünn und medium. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Geschmack und Qualität gut bis sehr gut, Preis- Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Es war mir ein wenig peinlich, den Gutschein aus dem Schlemmerblock anzuwenden, aber das machen wir wieder gut. Für uns eine echte neue Alternative. Das Inhaberpaar sehr freundlich und ohne schnickschnack rundet das Ganze ab.

Das griechische Restaurant war eine positive Überraschung. Obwohl es von außen nicht besonders charmant aussah, überzeugte das Restaurant mit seinem freundlichen Personal und exzellentem Essen. Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort und wurden sehr zuvorkommend bedient. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und schmeckten wirklich authentisch. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Abend mit tollem Essen und angenehmer Atmosphäre. Ich kann das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren zu zweit ein eues Restaurant testen das Zorba in der Möckernstr.....ich hoffe mal der Koch hatte einen schlechten Tag .Mein Girosteller ....Pommes sehr cross gut aber versalzen ,das Zaziki ging aber das Girosfleisch viel zu dick geschnitten geschmacklich eine 4,5 .Salat vorweg war ok aber noch nicht mal eine Olive oder Peperoni zu sehen .Leider war das eine glatte 4 mit Augen zudrücken, aber auch nur wegen der guten Portionsgröße und der sehr netten Bedienung!Also 16.70 euro für diesen Teller war es leider nicht wert! Bei Kytaro Bemerode,Kostadinos Bahnhof Laatzen oder Costa in der List ist das Essen um längen besser und teilweise billiger.Wir waren sehr enttäuscht!

1h30 d’attente pour un mezze…() et des légumes grillés () pas cuits, al tente ! Une pomme de terre 👎 Mezze qui n’a rien à voir avec un véritable mezze grec ! Il faisait glacial, pas une olive, pas de pain pour attendre… Une petite assiette de salade juste avant les plats. Grec à l’allemande !

Wie waren an dem Abend zu dritt. Das Lokal war gut besucht. Ich habe in der Südstadt ein kleines familiengeführtes griechisches Restaurant, wo ich gerne mein Bifteki esse. Zur Begrüßung erhielten wir gleich einen Ouzo, der sehr mild schmeckte. Als Vorspeise haben wir uns Zaziki und gegrillte Peperoni geteilt. Beides sehr lecker. Um das Restaurant zu testen haben wir uns eine Athenplatte und eine Poseidon Platte bestellt. Ich wollte unbedingt eine Platte, auf der es auch Bifteki gibt. Da die Leber an diesem Abend ausverkauft war, wurde eine Gyros-Pfanne genommen. Auf beiden Platten gäbe es würzigen Reis und leckere Pommes. Und Gyros. Davon bin ich normalerweise kein Fan. Aber in diesem Fall wurde ich sehr überrascht. Sehr kross, gut gewürzt, kein bisschen fettig - das Gyros habe ich tatsächlich zuerst weggenascht. Das Bifteki war auch super lecker. Gut gewürzt, der Käse innen war schön geschmolzen - ein Genuß! Das Schweinesteak war etwas trocken, hat mich aber weiter nicht gestört, da ich diesen Teller sowieso nicht leer essen konnte. So ließ ich mir den Rest meiner Platte einpacken und hatte am nächsten Tag nochmal das Vergnügen den Rest Bifteki und das Schweinesteak mit Pommes und Reis zu essen. Nun habe ich ein neues griechisches Lieblingslokal. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam, freundlich und man konnte sehen, dass sie Spaß an der Arbeit hatte. Wir wurden über kalten und warmen Ouzo aufgeklärt, erfuhren etwas über die Gewohnheiten von Gästen, bekamen zum Abschied nochmal einen Ouzo auf's Haus und sind nach einen 4stündigen Aufenthalt gesättigt und fröhlich nach Hause aufgebrochen. Ich komme garantiert wieder. Auch wenn ich dort mehr als bei meinen kleinen griechischen Lokal bezahlen muss. Der Reis ist würziger, das Gyros schmeckt mir dort das Bifteki ist lecker und der Ouzo schmeckt mir dort besser. Somit 5 Sterne. Uns ist noch angenehm aufgefallen, dass original griechische Musik gespielt wurde. Aber sie war nicht zu laut, sondern war gut im Hintergrund zu hören.

Wir kamen am 29.05.2022 von Berlin zurück. Zwischenstopp haben wir in Hannover gemacht. Leute, das Zorbas ist das beste Restaurant ever. Das Essen super lecker,die Bedienung sehr nett.Hier essen wir auf jeden Fall nochmal.Können wir nur empfehlen.

Von Hygienekonzept keine Spur. Weder Impfstatus noch App abgefragt, Kellner ohne Mundschutz, Lüftung Fehlanzeige. Ansonsten erinnerte nur die Musik und der Ouzo an fern an Griechenland. Ewig auf Getränke und Essen gewartet, fettig, totgebraten, keine Saucen (wenn schon 80s, dann bitte wenigstens die abgedroschene Metaxasauce dazu liefern, damit es besser rutscht….) TK-Pommes, matschiger Reis… naja was soll man sagen, aber dafür waren die Preise auch nicht ohne und das Gleiche hätte man wohl im Imbiss für die Hälfte bekommen. Schade,

Dieses Restaurant bietet eine umfangreiche Karte mit den üblichen Speisen. Die Portionen sind üppig, der Salat knackig und es hat uns prima geschmeckt. Der Gastraum ist hell und angenehm eingerichtet, die Bedienung super freundlich und die Preise sind äußerst moderat. Man sollte reichlich Hunger mitbringen.

Das Zorbas ist ein alteingesessener Grieche in Vahrenwald, der sich dort seit vielen Jahren behauptet. Wir waren nach langer Zeit mal wieder dort und wurden nicht enttäuscht, aber auch nicht überrascht. Die Karte und das Ambiente sind klassisch. Die Portionen sind groß und das Essen schmeckt. Mehr braucht es nicht.

Guter Grieche, genauso wie man es erwarten kann: Die Karte enthält Gewohntes und bietet keine exaltierten Überraschungen; Portionen sind dem Preis angemessen und geschmacklich top. Ich gehe gerne wieder hin!

Der Geschmack vom Essen (Pommes, suflaki, Gyros, suzuki) war gut, aber nichts besonderes. Des weiteren war die Portion ordentlich groß....
