Despite the request, when ordering in writing weeks in advance via Groupon, to get "the most beautiful table" for our wedding anniversary, we were seated in the aisle right next to the cash register. Alternatively, there would have been a free two-person table under a tilting window that could not be closed. Despite the request to be able to sit somewhere else in the 95% empty restaurant, they were told that the other tables would be needed for several people if they came in larger groups. If the meal hadn't already been paid for via Groupon, we would have left at that moment. Of course, as the evening continued, many tables were occupied by only two people that were actually intended for more people. The look beforehand when I said that I had a voucher from Groupon was also very derogatory and perhaps the reason for this table. The gentleman who assigned us the seat and served us (around 50 years old, slim, grayish) was very special. Among other things, he reprimanded a young man who was at the bar because he had poured a few millimeters too much beer into my beer glass. In the middle of the ordering process, he simply left the table and went to a gentleman who had come in with a can of ravioli to have it warmed up in the kitchen. "Creepy"! The food was excellent, albeit with a choice of sauces We were given no choice, as it was described in the voucher. We had to pay €3 extra for two sauces that were actually a choice according to our purchase. Nevertheless, the food itself definitely deserves five out of five stars. The meat was tender as butter, the low fat content tasted very aromatic and the side dishes (chips and sweet potato fries as well as Coleslow) were fresh and tasty. The background music suited my taste, but I can imagine that not many people like to listen to Rage against the Machine and the Cranberries with their meal.

Das Essen war hervorragend, allerdings bei Auswahl der Soßen wurde uns keine Wahl gelassen, so wie es in dem Gutschein beschrieben war. Wir haben 3€ extra zahlen müssen für 2 Soßen, die eigentlich zur Wahl gestanden haben laut unseres Kaufes. Trotzdem, das Essen an sich verdient auf jeden Fall fünf von fünf Sternen. Das Fleisch war butterzart, der geringe Fettanteil schmeckte sehr aromatisch und die Beilagen (Pommes und Süssigkartoffelpommes sowie Coleslow) waren frisch und lecker. Die Hintergrundmusik entsprach meinem Geschmack allerdings kann ich mir vorstellen, dass nicht viele Rage against the machine und die Cranberries zum Essen hören mögen.

Very good place to eat at. Highlight is the waiter Andrea. Too bad that the wine menu is not bigger, more choice, especially at a meat restaurant. Were there on a Tuesday evening. Spare and short ribs were ok to good. The thing is, it's either expensive because it tastes great or because it's a lot. If it's a really good rib and you only get 4 ribs - well. Sorry, but the price/performance doesn't fit here. Service good, store nice

The food was very tasty and on the table quickly. The service could be improved. We sat for a long time in front of empty glasses and then waited a long time until the order was brought to the table. There were three staff and the store was only 1/4 full.

We had dinner with a larger group on Sunday last week. The entrance is quite inconspicuous within a hotel. Despite the fact that we were the only guests, we had to wait a while until we were shown to our table. It was incredibly hot in the restaurant (no air conditioning), and the service was rather lackluster. The drinks (beer, long drinks) were good and reasonably priced. The food was pretty mixed. Some burgers were very dry, the smashed burgers weren't bad by German standards, the spare ribs were sometimes very dry, sometimes very fatty. The overall ambience certainly doesn't stand out, in particular there is no “BBQ atmosphere” here at all. Conclusion: You can do it, but you definitely don't have to. The food is ok, the service and the ambience below average.

Waiters were kind and helpful. Unfortunately my girlfriend’s steak was very under done and she asked for medium well fillet. She took a bite and proceeded to ask for it to be sent back. The chef made us pay for the steak even though we did not eat it. Other than that the place was very clean and the restaurant itself was lovely.

Yesterday we were at the Green Smoke Open Air All You Can Eat in Troisdorf. All U Can Eat BBQ was advertised from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It started at 6:45 p.m. So be it. There was pulled pork, smoked pork belly, short ribs (beef), bread, coleslaw and potato salad US style. Plus two BBQ sauces. Chafing dishes were served in GN, we were at the front of the queue, but all of the meat was cold (one could have said "lukewarm"). Every griller can do a better job with the pulled pork at home, as it lacked any smoky flavor and had a nice crust anyway. The pork (ribs/belly) was very al dente due to the low serving temperature, completely unusual for American BBQ. The delicious bread and short ribs cut it out and didn't leave us going home completely frustrated. For 35€ p. P. unfortunately it just wasn't a good thing - it's a shame.

The food was excellent. I was served by Andrea (male), who stood out for his politeness, courtesy, attentiveness and friendliness. I personally found the background music to be a bit too loud. However, thanks to my headphones, I was able to do my work undisturbed and complete it satisfactorily. Very good burgers and nice service

We ate on site, in a great atmosphere. I would advise making a reservation. We were very lucky to get a spot without a reservation. Humorous, nice staff and very fine food/drinks are offered there. I had the Green Smoke Allstar Burger and was extremely satisfied. I have rarely eaten such a good burger. The homemade lemonades are also a delight. Afterwards I ate the apple crumble with ice cream and my conclusion is: As soon as we are in the area again, we will definitely eat there again.

Als wir nach 1 1/2 Std nachgefragt haben, wann endlich unser Essen kommt nachgefragt haben, wurde der Kellner extrem pampig und unhöflich. Unglaublich, wie ungeschult und aggressiv einige vom Personal sind. Geschäftsführer wurde dank Impressum angeschrieben. Nie mehr wieder hier!

Ich hatte hier die Schäm Dich Pfanne + Longdrink mit Groupon zu einem sehr günstigen Preis. Das Personal war locker aufgelegt und das Essen sehr schmackhaft sowie interessant angerichtet.

The environment is very beautiful, Side dishes are also very nice, but I didn't like how the meat was cooked. If I had known that I would wait 45 minutes and eat such hard meat, I would not have waited.

Located in a hotel. Although many tables free only a poorly located table could be offered. The ambience is business like almost clinical. Do not recommend for an evening dining out. The staff is not engaged/helpfull. Food is okay-ish; but high priced for the quality. When you do not give a tip (due to okay-ish quality and not engaged staff); they do not speak you anymore.

We bought a voucher for a burger or salad with side dishes from Groupon and were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was a Cologne original - funny and friendly. The service was quick and the food was delicious. You couldn't just choose the supplements listed on Groupon, but all of them. Everyone was more than fed up. Without Groupon we probably wouldn't have found the restaurant as it can only be accessed through the hotel. (Important note: Although the sign at the entrance says "Sion", there is the good "Peters" 😁)

We were at the Green Smoke Cologne BBQ Restaurant in the Lindner Hotel am Dom on a Friday evening around 7:30/8 p.m. The restaurant was almost empty, but many tables were dirty and not cleared. We were assigned a table but after 30 minutes we still weren't served and we weren't even given a menu. Disappointed and frustrated, we finally left. Very bad service!

True, on my birthday there, I ate spare rips, really delicious. I got a tip from the waiter for a dip and I have to say the tip was really great and the dip was very tasty. I'll come back when I'm in Cologne again.

After a beautiful day in Cologne we ended up here. Our waiter Patriek (I think that's his name) was a passive aggressive guy. My suspicion is that he was bullied in the past by Dutch people and that is quite sad. The burgers were incredibly saucy, my smooth eel named Michael was nothing like it. It was very hot and an air conditioner from the Hornbach can solve this. The cheese burger bribe video with AC/DC music was fantastic! 🤟🧀

A wonderful experience and a big recommendation for every meat lover. This slightly hidden restaurant on the ground floor of a hotel is a real insider tip. A quiet and atmospheric interior invites you to sit down and linger. The young lady who served us was very friendly and attentive, again a big compliment. In general, the service was very friendly and you felt welcomed as a guest. We had a meat platter for two people and the smoked sugar lemonades and what can I say...? Here we have people who really love their job, because you can taste it in every single bite. My personal favorite on the platter was the Smokey Eye which was fried to perfection so no extra steak knife was needed... All in all, a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone who appreciates good meat.

We visited Green Smoke as part of a Groupon voucher for 4 people. The ambience of Green Smoke is very inviting, friendly and aptly decorated! The employees were across the board very friendly, courteous, quick and attentive! We ordered the “Schäm Dich Pfanne” offered by Groupon there... The first impression was: "Is that supposed to be it or is it just a greeting from the kitchen"? 🤔 But at the end some of them actually had a little left over! 😍 👍 👏. The meat was super tender and really tasty, just like the other ingredients. The melted cheese and jalapenios rounded off the dish nicely! In short: we were not disappointed! Small deduction: According to advertising, this dish for 4 people including a long drink per person would cost over 90 euros... This is definitely not worth it! Even with Groupon discounts, this is still an exorbitant price... It was very tasty and the staff and the location are definitely worth a visit - but you should keep an eye on the (in my opinion) high prices!

We were at Green Smoke Cologne yesterday and absolutely loved it. The service was very attentive and friendly, a relief in the service desert of Germany. We enjoyed the beef ribs, chili cheese burgers and black tiger prawns in a pleasant atmosphere. The meat was a poem, so tender and delicious. You can taste that professionals are at work in the kitchen and good ingredients are used. Nothing is off the shelf or out of a can, everything is homemade and so brilliantly composed that I immediately told my colleagues at the Cigar Club about this jewel in the catering industry. A young man on the phone was completely uninformed and didn't even know where to park. His only answer was, “Look.” Despite making a reservation with a Groupon voucher, it could not be redeemed. Bought 2 burger menus from Groupon just to try out the location. A little hidden, you can find the restaurant past the reception in the Lindner Hotel. Great welcome from a waiter and a great speech from the beaming waitress. Drinks were picked up and brought quickly. We picked out the burger and ten minutes later we had our food. Ketchup and mayo are available as flat bottles. The burgers - ordered medium - were cooked to perfection. Toppings were fresh and tasty and we also really enjoyed the fries. If the place itself had more American charm, it would be perfect. We would still like to come back.

Vorab : Die Bewertung hat nichts mit dem Personal zu tun , dieses war sehr nett und zuvorkommend . Wir haben die insta Beiträge gesehen und haben uns für dieses Restaurant entschieden , da wir großen Wert auf gutes Fleisch legen . Wir entschieden uns für eine Platte für zwei Personen für 80 Euro , die Spareribs , Beefrips, smokeysteak und chickenlollys beinhalten sollte . Als die Platte kam, dachten wir, das diese nur für eine Person wäre , das sie nur ein einziges sparerib , ein einziges beefrip , ein Steak und drei chickemlollys beinhaltete. Das Steak war durch und sehr zäh und bei den Rips war kaum was dran und das teilen war unmöglich . Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmt gar nicht für den Preis ! Das Highlight war die Kräuterbutter u d die süsskartoffelponmes !

Me and my colleague work for a Kansas City company and are fortunate to eat some of the best BBQ on the planet. We can honestly say that the food we enjoyed at the green Smoke was as good as anything we have had in Kansas (including Q39) Everything was smoked and seasoned to perfection... Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit im Green Smoke, wo sowohl der Service als auch das Essen absolut top waren! Das Personal war extrem freundlich und aufmerksam, was den Abend besonders angenehm gemacht hat. Vom ersten Moment an fühlten wir uns willkommen und gut betreut. Die Speisekarte war ein Traum für jeden BBQ-Liebhaber: Die Gambas als Vorspeise waren einfach himmlisch und zergehen auf der Zunge. Auch die Hauptgerichte, von saftigen Burgern über perfekt zubereitete Ribs bis hin zu frischen Salaten, ließen keine Wünsche offen. Jeder Bissen war ein Genuss! Nicht zu vergessen sind die Getränke – der angebotene Weißwein und das Craft Beer vom Fass waren die perfekte Ergänzung zu den köstlichen Gerichten. Alles in allem war es ein rundum gelungener Besuch, und wir können es kaum erwarten, wiederzukommen. Ein absolutes Muss für alle BBQ-Fans!

I always judge a place first from the hygiene and the amenities of the bathroom and this place was perfection for me. They had exactly what every bathroom should have, alcohol to clean the toilet seat, napkins and hand towels both, moisturiser and even mouthwash with plastic cups. The food was also magical. The ribs were perfectly cooked and just melted in your mouth, the only thing i can criticise is the fact that i ordered the beef ribs plate and it comes with three sauces , all the three sauces were the same except for one that had a piece of jalapeño inside. I wish i could choose the sauces myself. I loved the service too, the price based on the amount of food we got was fair. Absolutely satisfied and will visit again.

Very committed team, questions are answered and very good advice is given, especially about the beer of the month: Blauer Tapir 😅 Food is super delicious. The butter with red onions, garlic and beef marrow is simply delicious 😋 The bread is crispy and warm. The burgers were very good, cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries are crispy and the apricot mayo goes perfectly with them. The grilled potatoes are small potatoes that also go well with the burger. Unfortunately there wasn't enough for dessert. 😒 One star deducted for the ambience because there is still a small construction site in the restaurant area at the moment. We will come back in any case.

The food was super tasty. The meat was super tender. Philipp is a friendly and open-minded restaurateur. Super family friendly. There was an extra high chair for our little one. Our children were also treated very kindly during their stay. The small courtyard was very cozy, so you could eat in peace. The herb butter with the smoky note was perfect. Ketchup and mayo were placed on the table in the "tube" so that you could continue eating undisturbed when the sauces were empty.

It was okay, but it didn't blow me away.

We were there on a Wednesday. Super relaxed atmosphere and a very friendly employee who showed and explained everything to us. The food was very good and nicely prepared. After dinner we had some small talk with the employee. Since it wasn't full at our time, the employee was able to talk to us. We would be happy to come by again.

Will leave my 5stars as well! The restaurant is a part of a hotel. The burger was delicious! I didn't order any sides, perhaps it was a bad idea, cause burger has perfect size but in a while I got the feeling I am still hungry a bit. Service was quick, the only thing I didn't know is that payment is at the bar, so wasted 20 mins, waiting for a waiter to ask a bill 🤭

This is by far the best American restaurant in Cologne. I've already gone through everything on the map. Whether it's burgers, steak, brisket or ribs, everything tastes great here. The ribs are an 11/10 by the way. A really tasty BBQ restaurant. The super friendly service and service make it perfect here. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

A great restaurant right in the hotel. The food was great, the staff was really nice and friendly. It's a shame that you can't get anything there in the afternoon. That would be good in a hotel.

We reserved a table online at short notice for last night and it worked out great. The staff was absolutely friendly and always kept an eye on the glasses. We ordered the upgrade plate for 2 people. Yes, the thing costs €100, but it's absolutely worth it (lots of meat, 4 side dishes of your choice and dips). I had to have the leftovers packed up even though I'm a big eater. Anyone who complains about waiting times should read the menu carefully, every meat dish says that it takes 45 minutes to prepare because it comes fresh into the smoker. We will definitely come back.
