We expected much more. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We paid €33 per person and in the end we weren't even allowed to take the drink we had started with us, which would otherwise end up in the trash anyway.

Unfortunately the food wasn't that good. Maybe it was empty and not refilled. Our entire group struggled with stomach problems after the buffet. First and last time.

We were there for the first time on Sunday afternoon and were totally thrilled, apart from the noise and the station atmosphere. The selection and quality of food and drinks simply blew us away. I have a glutamate allergy and have always been prepared to take antihistamines, but I have had zero reaction. For me, this was the best Asian buffet in Düsseldorf so far.

I was really looking forward to eating here with my 9-year-old daughter. I was also happy that I could go here. It was not possible to reserve a table via the website. We stayed in the adjacent hotel. You can still make a reservation for the same evening at the counter in the afternoon. Upon entering we were kindly guided to our table. What was striking was that the restaurant was fully occupied. A good sign I thought. I started with the dim sum. Siu mai and ha kau. The siu mai was not yellow on the outside and lacked flavor. Was also very dry. The same goes for the ha kau, there was no shrimp in it, it was also very dry. There was also no Chinese chili oil or other pepper sauce present. I left out gyoza, I always eat it with a gyoza dumplin sauce, spicy. The buffet was OK, but I really missed the spice. The Thai curry was unfortunately tasteless and did not taste like Thai curry. No pepper, no Thai basil or ginger or other herbs from the beautiful Thai kitchen. There was no white rice. Only nasi or noodles. The other dishes also had little taste. I didn't try the sushi. The tuna sushi that was there was brown. On the first 2 trays were sushi wrapped in cucumber? In any case, not sushi as it should really be. The edam beans were not salted and strangely tasted like fish?? I also thought the grill was mediocre to poor. You have no options in terms of flavors. For example tau si, pepper sauce, gong bao etc Still grill 1 piece of steak with a lamb chop. The extra garlic and onions with red peppers came off the grill quite tasty. Unfortunately, the 2nd portion was burnt, which I thought was a shame about the steak. The only thing I really liked was the ketan, sticky rice with banana. There were 2 pieces left. The watermelon was wonderfully sweet. All in all, I think they can improve the quality by cooking real Asian food. More spice and more flavour. For God's sake, put gyoza too Soya, chili oil and other fresh peppers on the table. The sambal oelek that is there... We come from Amsterdam ourselves. I now see how high the quality and authenticity of our Asian restaurants are. Increase the price slightly and invest in quality instead of quantity.

Enough selection, it was always replenished in a timely manner. Food as you would expect from this category, drinks well chilled. Plenty of dessert selection. Parking in the yard isn't exactly great. There are parking spaces where you have to park one behind the other if you're with your family, otherwise the service staff are busy finding the one parked behind you. :-)

Rich selection of dishes and side dishes and desserts, as well as fresh vegetables and fruit. The price also includes cafe and soft ice cream and all soft drinks including beer. A huge selection of meat and fish are available for further preparation on the grill - you clip your table number to your plate and as soon as your selection is fried, it is brought to the table. Gourmet Palast in Düsseldorf is highly recommended, the price is right, it is very popular. Parking spaces are available behind the front building.

Social hotspot aka Assi Cafeteria. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good, the sushi buffet was also accessible to flies 🤢 However, employees tried very hard. For us it is clear, never again!

A large all you can eat buffet with lots of choice. In the evening you can also put things on the grill. Very pleasant there, I didn't have much to do with the staff, but they seemed quite nice. There is a deduction for the following: on my last visit it was very crowded and the narrow aisles between the individual tables make it difficult to move around and you have to be particularly careful with a full plate. However, what I really like here and have never seen at any other restaurant of this type is that drinks are also included in the price. So you can take as much juice, spritzer, soft drinks or beer as you want. I like it very much

It's tasty but it's a bit expensive for the afternoon

It now feels like a train station hall!!!Small children run and help themselves at the counters, sometimes unaccompanied, and reach into the food and the ice cream counter. The quality is no longer worthy of the buffet price charged! I was there for a long time Regular guests, but now it was my last visit because despite repeated approaches to management in the past nothing has changed for the better. It's a shame, but I want to spend my money wisely.

I've been there before and we were warmly welcomed by the owner and we were informed about the rules in this restaurant and we were told our table number. The food, which was available in a large selection on site, was of high quality despite the many different dishes! I can only recommend it and will eat there again today.

Unfortunately it was very crowded and also very loud. Normal conversation wasn't really possible.

Was invited there twice and got a stomach ache twice. The meat is absolutely inferior and is fried black. The meat that is not freshly fried consists of 90% breading and the last 10% is fat. Normally I eat about 5 plates, but here I'm not hungry anymore after just one small plate.

It was a great experience, every guest received a very friendly welcome and everything was explained in detail. Unfortunately, it is extremely loud there, comparable to a large hospital canteen.

The food was okay, suitable for a buffet, all you can eat is of course bonus points. The service was direct, but not really polite or particularly motivated. Completely ok for the price, but there is room for improvement. Trash cans would be a start.

We were there on a Sunday and paid just under €30 per adult for the buffet. It would be worth mentioning here that water and soft drinks such as cola, apple and various other spritzers and I even mean coffee and cocoa were also included. The staff always tried to fill the food display. However, you could tell that it was stressful. Unfortunately, the large room was so overcrowded with people that you sometimes had to take detours to get to your seat. That's why I only give it 3 stars.

I have always enjoyed being a regular customer here and often went here with the family. Until my last visit, it was supposed to be a special occasion and was very disappointed with the restaurant. I called and made a reservation 1-2 weeks in advance and we still had to wait half an hour in the rain. Finally we got a seat, probably the worst in the entire restaurant. When we had eaten and wanted to drink, the employee spoke to me and said I wasn't allowed to take a drink because I would take the bottle with me. Then after a discussion, we couldn't enjoy our dessert because the same employee was obviously staring at us the whole time in the sense that we wanted to steal something. No respect for younger people and very unreliable.

Hello! It's a disgrace that you can't reserve a table, I've been trying for a year and now I've had enough and can spend my money elsewhere

33 euros for all you can eat and drink on a Saturday evening, so if you're looking for something to complain about. The food is fresh and is constantly replenished, the plates are cleared quickly and the food that is prepared on site is ready super quickly. Of course it's not a restaurant where you can get the finest food, but we had fun and really enjoyed it! Parking situation is a bit difficult but as I said, that's complaining at a high level.

It is very crowded on weekends. Plan your visit early. The food was very tasty and varied. Problems with parking at the weekend, you have to wait or park at the back of the gas station

Great food, great quality, always happy. However, it was super loud and super crowded. A few less people would be nice. We don't go on a Saturday evening anymore.

The food used to be better, but is still edible. However, for the price I would expect better quality. The service from the employees varies. There are employees who drive around in a cart to collect leftover food and unneeded items such as plates, bottles and glasses. They also like to take something with them if something needs to be eaten. So be careful where you put something! Other employees who are responsible for the kitchen are very nice and accommodating and also make sure that things are fried separately if you have allergies. The atmosphere is very nice, but children like to use it as a playground to hide or run around. Of course, that's not so nice if you want to eat comfortably. I think since this is also a restaurant, people should remember that you should also behave as if you were in a restaurant. I am the mother of a daughter myself and my daughter has never run around in a restaurant, shouted loudly or even played ball... there are limits somewhere. This should be taught to children.

I had dinner there with 4 other friends for Japan Day after making a reservation in advance. I thought it was good that they were able to expand the reservation from 3 to 5 people at short notice, even though they had so much stress that day, although I wouldn't have blamed them if it hadn't worked. The food itself was very tasty, but a certain part of the chicken tasted somehow like fish, so I didn't eat at least that one. There is a star deduction for this. Otherwise I served myself well and was very satisfied. I would come back next time I go to Düsseldorf.

It was a very bad experience. That same day I had severe stomach problems from eating. Just thinking about it makes me sick. Sorry, but the health department should urgently check the hygiene and food quality here! The shop is crowded, the noise is loud, the atmosphere is stuffy and the clientele is strange. Most of the food on offer in the Gourmet is a buffet, so food and drinks are self-service. The buffet is extensive, so there should be something for everyone. You can also have dishes such as fish or meat prepared fresh on site. For €39 per person including non-alcoholic and two alcoholic drinks you really can't complain. Unfortunately, the atmosphere doesn't get the full number of points from me because it can get a bit noisy, especially at peak times when there are a lot of visitors. You should also take some time here as it may take some time to prepare the fresh food due to the high volume of people.

Sorry, but never again. The receptionist was absolutely rude and when we asked her to sit us down she said that all the tables were reserved (which was obviously a lie). We sat with a child (3yrs) at a table in the corner next to the kitchen where there was too much traffic and noise which made our stay really unpleasant. After 30 minutes we left because we couldn't stand it any longer. The food was ok, nothing special, you can get much better food elsewhere for the money.

Place with a wide variety of food in its Buffet and with drinks included in the price. Great to go as a couple, as a family and for celebrations since it is a very spacious, beautiful place and most importantly the cleanliness is excellent.

The Groumet Palace is the best Asian cuisine in Düsseldorf, as it offers a variety of food from Suhie to sweets such as cakes, chocolate fountains, etc., a large selection of fish, although divers but it's worth it, the staff are very friendly, and the food is also very tasty. And a tip: don't listen to those who say it as if it were a train station, that's nonsense. I would only recommend it.

On the one hand, there are far too few parking spaces, especially for the disabled. There are no parking spaces at all. For a restaurant this large, there should at least be adequate parking. Unfortunately, the ambience is getting old and could use some renovation. Now to the food on offer, there is plenty, but the quality is far from what you are used to if you like to eat in real gourmet restaurants or are used to quality. But the problem is, in order to present such a low price for all you can eat and drink, the quality is left out. Because it's as cheap as it is here, you can't find as much choice of food and drinks. But the quality also suffers as a result! Especially if your palate is used to quality and you have some experience in the kitchen, it's immediately noticeable at the first bite. But as I said, you can't demand high-quality food for such a low price, at least if you know how expensive quality is. The fact is, for such a huge range of different food and drinks, the price is mega, but as I said, I can't expect "first class" food for that, especially if the drinks are also included. So it's surprising that this price is so cheap. At other gourmet restaurants, you can easily pay around forty to eighty euros for a good meal, knowing full well that drinks will come on top. So in plain language, the huge selection of food and drinks is really extreme here. But don't forget that quality would be much more expensive! So don't complain too much here, because the people who work here are, on the one hand, very friendly and nice and do a hard job. Because getting a table here without a reservation is almost impossible. Personally, I would even invest a few euros more if it meant the quality would be better and the ambience would be spiced up again. Above all, you should think about the parking spaces for severely disabled people, because they are missing the most here. That's why this time I only give one star for the variety of food and drinks and for the staff, who really put a lot of effort into ensuring that the guest feels comfortable. I hope that on my next visit the quality of the food will be better than it was today. PS: some foods and dishes look better when served fresh. Sushi, for example, should only be put out shortly before consumption, otherwise it will dry out and look unsightly. With that in mind, see you again soon

This is a discovery for me. First time eating at this restaurant. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the welcome is warm. I had a draft beer, a reference in Germany, a starter to share with warm bread to whet my appetite and finally a fish dish. The food was fresh and very tasty especially accompanied by white wine. We went here with a party of 8 and we all enjoyed the food. The place in general looks very clean and tidy. The food is nicely put together and everything has a description in German and English. It was a Sunday when we were there and the staff still were very helpful and seemed nice. Even when making a mistake with a sauce they just said "next time please use this instead". When getting the food it was somewhat crowded bit I didn't have to wait for anything to get free. Overall it's a great atmosphere and everything seems put together also the decoration. I didn't take a food pic this time (will do next time) but I took this one from the decoration 😊. Kind regards

In general, an "all you can eat" offer doesn't seem to be an option for me🤷🤷🤷 Drink selection that is not rated would get 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Disappointing experience: From former glory to current disappointment Unfortunately, Gourmet Palast Düsseldorf has lost a lot of quality. Although the food only tastes average, the noise level is unbearably high. It is also worrying that there is dripping from the ceiling and even visible mold. The disappointing experience was compounded by burnt dishes from the Mongolian buffet twice. The restaurant used to be much better, but unfortunately I can no longer recommend it today.

Good place to go if you can eat a lot and don't care too much about quality food. Its definitely nice to have a lot of options to try everything but I found it all to be lacking in flavour and freshness. I personally would rather less food but of a higher quality so I wouldn't go back. I can't eat very much so all you can eat just doesn't really appeal to me. Lots of families with kids here - it's a very noisy place. I wouldn't go back.

The food was good but it was way too full. The volume was way too high. There were rolling containers everywhere that were still there after they had been unloaded. The shop was full of young people and families with large children. Unfortunately, that all ends up being thrown in a heap and you're happy to be back outside as quickly as possible .It's a shame it had more potential.Unfortunately we're not going there anymore.

We were there last night for the first time and definitely the last time. The food was OK. Certainly justified for the price. We invited friends there and it was awkwardness at its finest. Even at the reception it seemed chaotic and disorganized. The place is a disaster. Totally overcrowded, very loud, the employees seem annoyed and overwhelmed. Crowding at the buffet. Tables are hardly cleared. But by far the worst thing about that evening was the clientele: A woman in pajamas and slippers, a boy in rubber boots, lots of guests constantly filming the buffet, the restaurant and other guests, overflowing plates... some guests barely had room for their thumb on the edge of the plate to be able to carry the plate , etc.. Not a flagship for a restaurant. Unfortunately we got a table right at the buffet and so had a direct view of the "promenade"... You almost lose your appetite. Conclusion: by far the worst restaurant visit in years. The logical thing would have been to turn around when entering what felt like a train station hall, which I can only recommend to everyone!!! In the future we would rather pay a little more at another location and not be annoyed....

The food was great, The employees are all friendly and nice. What I found particularly good is that you can also eat traditional Chinese food. Something like steamed bread or steamed chicken with batter and also steamed vegetables. There's no great place anywhere. Which I also think is really great, There is all you can drink here. Here you can eat and drink as much as you can, all at an acceptable price. Ambiance is okay. Here you can find desserts, coffee and tea, everything your heart desires Just great. I hope they stay that way and don't raise prices.

We were there for the first and last time. The food was very tasty, but some dishes were not refilled despite being spoken to. But hygienically, I lost my appetite. Waiters pick up the food without gloves, grab the leftover food on the plates and push them into the trash. Afterwards, the fresh cutlery was placed on the tables again with the same hands and the plates were then served directly to the fresh food counter (by the way, we waited 60 minutes for the fresh food plate) without washing our hands. We touched on that too. It was just looked at stupidly and acknowledged. No go

Food was hot and fresh. Taste was okay, there was enough of everything. In our case, service was difficult. When we asked if there was Prossesco, we were told there was no such thing here. It's about eating, it was a bit underwhelming. The reception at the checkout wasn't worthy of a restaurant as it was just a quick process, no requests were made or anything else friendly... Price 33€ with as many soft drinks as you want is definitely recommended for longer and several courses. Clothing is casual, you could also see people coming in here after exercising on Sunday evenings.
