I went to this cafe with friends who I recently visited Georgia with. So we were able to compare the original dishes with the dishes from this restaurant. Everything we ordered was tasty, but it hardly resembled the original Georgian dishes. The spices were missing. I can only highlight the Khinkali: the meat in it was excellently prepared and had the right spices. But the dough was very sticky. Saperavi wine was reminiscent of Pinot Noir and had an almost transparent hue, rather than the dense, almost black color of the original Saperavi.

Simply delicious and a wonderful atmosphere

Great experience overall, with a relaxed and also intimate atmosphere, perfect for couples but also groups. Service was nice, with friendly waiters and short waiting times. Food was delicious, some of the best I had so far, with great presentation. I highly recommend it!

We decided to visit So Re as a group of five. When we entered the store we were led to an uncovered table, while the table next to us was not cleared until the end. The food, which was sometimes tasteless, especially the starter plate, is mediocre to sometimes unsatisfactory. The only good thing in the shop was the khinkali, although we had to wait 40+ minutes for the first course. The shop was empty, why we had to wait so long is a mystery to us. The restaurant didn't have a special atmosphere because it was almost empty. We were promised that the second portion of khinkali would be ready within 15 minutes. When we asked the waiter (who stood outside smoking most of the time) if we were still getting our food, he said that we had already had our portion and now we had to wait. The waiter's tone and manner were anything but polite and we paid 140 euros for 15 khinkali and 2 starters. Absolutely unacceptable for the quality of the food and the service. We won't be visiting the restaurant again

Everything was delicious, everyone was very friendly!

The food was okay and the ambience was also appealing. Unfortunately, there are deductions in the rating because I was there with a friend of Russian origin and the waitress spoke to her in Russian almost the entire time while I sat next to her and didn't understand anything. I find that rude and not in line with the service standard of a restaurant.

The food is unspectacular, expected more for this price. Also extremely unprofessional cuisine, it takes over half an hour to serve a cold starter. And the other dishes are even worse. The “three more minutes” was a whole 10. There is someone in the kitchen who is either completely alone or unable to delegate. The fact that later tables were served earlier is the crowning glory. Ambiance is below average and boring. A few candles or nicer lighting would work wonders. The waiters are also extremely slow and inattentive, no one came past our table unless you desperately called for the service. The service doesn't want to hear any criticism, but that fits with the overall picture that emerges in the other comments. The equipment is also below average, poorly sheared knives, hardly any and irregular decoration, no heart and no love for your own restaurant. I really wonder how this restaurant stays afloat since we won't be coming back and the restaurant was sparsely filled on a Saturday evening. So you are not successful. Which makes the lack of critical ability even sadder. The restaurant is now part of our blacklist, and like the others that were there, may be just as broke as the others. Very unfortunate.

Everything was sooo delicious. Old, torn furniture spoils the overall impression. There is also a lack of Georgian attributes that are expected in such an establishment.

We visited So Re in July 2024. Our family loves Georgian restaurants, and we have visited in the past great places in other locations, like Vienna, Bratislava, Kyiv. However, the food in So Re was absolutely not great, Khinkali were too salty and not juicy as they should be. Gemischte vorspeusenplatte was too spicy and salty. The only good experience was with Khachapuri and the wine, which were as good as it should be. Another point which was missing is some atmosphere, interior is quite poor, service is quite slow and could be improved. Prices are really high. We have paid 120 EUR for 2 adults and 2 small kids, which is overpriced for such a quality of the restaurant. Despite having great references, we are really disappointed in this place and probably won't come Bach here again unless food quality and service level will be improved.

Very tasty food, great staff, good service and quiet area.

We were there on July 22, around 8 pm, since it was a Monday, there were quite a lot of free tables on the street and we didn’t have to wait for seating. The service is pleasant and quite fast, I was especially pleased with the system where you can add an addition to your order using a QR code or ask for an invoice. Another plus, the waiter was very friendly and spoke Russian, and also honestly advised not to order too much, since the dishes were quite filling. 2 glasses of wine, Adjarian khachapuri + a plate of snacks and lemonade cost us 57 €. The only thing that upset me is that there is no lamb or lula kebab on the menu.

Where to start… the food was a big surprise. The atmosphere was more than familiar. You felt welcome and the atmosphere was very stylish and pleasant. Totally surpassed in taste. The play with acidity, spiciness and the freshly fried vegetables with the chicken and fresh fried potatoes is a pleasure. When I bit into it I thought I had torn it in my grandma's summer garden. Thank you for the incredible experience.

Nice restaurant, delicious food, friendly waiters. By the way! They also speak Russian. 😉For three of us we spent 90€ and that included alcohol. I recommend visiting.

Reserved a table at 2:44 p.m. to eat and watch football at 8:45 p.m. Having arrived on time at 8:40 p.m. we were offered a table out of sight where we couldn't see anything at all. They then claim that we should reserve earlier. It's an absolute disgrace when you see tables that have also been reserved standing empty and we're not seated there "because the tables are reserved"

i have been living abroad for the last two years, during this period wanted to try something that reminded me oh my home Country Georgia. this restaurant has fulfilled my expectations, everything has true Georgian taste. Highly recommended

What we couldn't eat was packed up and eaten the next day (and it was still incredibly tasty). The two of us had eggplant rolls, a flatbread with minced meat, lamb stew, grilled chicken with grilled vegetables, a beetroot salad, and a bottle of very good wine... njam njam njam

Food is nothing to write home about. For what you get, pricing is steep. Icing on the cake is that they only accept cash, without telling you before. Very bad service. Won’t come back.

The overall dining experience at SO RE was disappointing, especially considering the price. What was on offer proved to be unexceptional and not commensurate with the relatively high cost of the meal. Another point of criticism concerns the payment methods: it was only pointed out after the meal that payment by card was not possible. This meant that I had to walk five minutes to the nearest ATM during a rain shower and also had to pay a fee of €4 for withdrawing cash from the savings bank. This inconvenience represents a clear lack of service, even if the service staff were friendly and courteous. Despite the positive interaction with the staff, I would not visit the restaurant again. The combination of mediocre food, high costs and the lack of basic services such as versatile payment options makes returning unattractive for me.

No card payment and no warning about it, but everything was delicious

A great and friendly welcome. Actually planned for four. We stayed just the two of us. But the service was on point and the food was great. The starter platter for €16 was more than enough and it made us think about whether we would even order main courses but we did. The walnut paste in the eggplant and peppers was my favorite. The chicken was also nicely grilled with grillsroma and was good. Ambience is very pleasant. Not too loud and with music in the background, we were still able to have conversations like other busy shops. Gladly again!

The location is great, the atmosphere also makes a great impression. The food was good, but unfortunately not wow. The dumplings weren't really cooked, the main courses were lukewarm at most, and the sauce for the chicken was cold. We waited 45 minutes for the food and it also took 25 minutes before we could order drinks. Only cash payment possible, unfortunately the information only came when the bill was brought. The staff was too few (2 people for the entire restaurant) and overwhelmed.

The food was delicious and something completely different; the spices and herbs really surprise you, it's fun to try these new flavor combinations. However, the restaurant was also really overbooked: additional tables with wobbly patio chairs were added and the service staff were overwhelmed due to the number of guests. Some of the tables were so close together that there wasn't even 15cm between them and the neighboring table - that's really a bit uncomfortable.

Very tasty dishes. The menu is not overloaded, the individual dishes are well prepared and the portions are generous. The Georgian amphora wines are something very special. Only the tables are a bit small.

There were three of us on 02/10/24. We ordered a bottle of dry white, lemonade with tarragon, a portion of pkhali, a portion of khinkali with mixed minced meat, a portion of grilled chicken with a side dish, and a portion of kupat with a side dish. We paid the bill for 120€, that is, 40€ each. The restaurant is not cheap. The atmosphere and service are good. However, the cuisine does not correspond to Georgian tradition. Neither the spices inherent in Georgian cuisine, nor the heat, nor the herbs were felt. Unfortunately, there was no Georgian taste, no Georgian music, no Georgian-style interior. Most likely we won't come again. We will recommend this restaurant only to those who do not know the taste of Georgian dishes and who do not necessarily enjoy the original Georgian aroma and taste of the dishes they ordered.

The food is ok, nothing I would necessarily crave though. The dumplings were a bit uncooked. The service is super friendly but somewhat unorganized. The atmosphere is ok. Voices do resonate a lot so it feels like a filled bar when it's full. Prices are very expensive.

Very nice restaurant with authentic Georgian cuisine.

First of all, and despite the following criticisms, I can highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if, like us, you are curious about what dishes Georgian cuisine has to offer! The service was extremely friendly during our visit, but understaffed. Unfortunately, after we ordered our drinks and food, it took a long time until someone came to our table again. Halfway through our meal we had already finished our drinks and would have liked to order more, but due to the waiting time we asked for the bill straight away. (Two service staff were responsible for a full store!). Overall the food was okay. The homemade sausage with mashed potatoes were particularly delicious. Unfortunately we were not informed that the salad contained coriander. But well, the salad wasn't the main star of the dish, but was inedible for me. The garlic sauce for the chicken was a bit bland and runny. The dumplings looked appealing, but didn't taste as good as we expected (just a matter of taste). Overall, the restaurant makes a good impression. We had never eaten Georgian before. If the service had been improved we would even give it 4 stars, but due to the understaffing it remains at 3 stars.

A really great place for a little adventure! I'm not a vegetable fan, but the starters with spinach, carrots, beetroot and cabbage salads were so crunchy and well seasoned that it was an experience! The main course with filled dumplings, we had cheese with cauliflower and minced meat, tasted amazing!!! So fresh and exceptionally seasoned... Simply a pleasure!!!

Hands down one of the best restaurants in Düsseldorf! Warm welcoming service, excellent food and high quality and really worth the price. We had a variety of dishes; the Kachapuri, the mixed starters and grilled chicken in walnuts sauce and also in blackberry sauce. Massively impressed and will definitely come back again. It was rather loud when we arrived; guess due to it being a Saturday night. It did take them a bit long to serve our meals but I appreciate it since it showed the effort behind the food. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Part of our order was delicious. However, the stew with tarragon tasted mainly of tarragon. I'm not an expert but I think there was too much of it. It took 40 minutes for us to get the starters. After we were finished we waited another hour and a half for the main course. It was very crowded that evening. I understand that. But then the team should have prepared better. There was also no “apology” in the form of a nice gesture, such as a drink on the house or something similar. The chicken in tomato sauce was very tasty, but a very small portion for the money. The most positive thing was the waitress - very nice and personable. That's the only reason I'm leaving 3 stars for the service despite the huge delay.

I'm actually a big fan of Georgian cuisine, but I was rather disappointed here. We arrived quite late (9:30 p.m.), maybe that was why. There were lots of vegan options which was good. We had the Georgian Salad, Lobio, Adjapsali & Khinkali. Khinkali & Adjapsali were delicious - if it had stayed that way, I would have rated the restaurant higher. The salad was okay, but the taste was unspectacular. I also don't know that Georgian salad contains iceberg lettuce. The lobio arrived cold to lukewarm twice. It's no problem if it happens once. When we had him go back again, the second time was exactly the same. The Mchadi was also cold. The service mentally felt like it was already after work, empty drinks were not noticed, a waitress was usually on her cell phone. The other was very monosyllabic. Unfortunately there was no trace of Georgian hospitality. Only cash payment possible.

Today we visited this restaurant for the first time, but most likely for the last time. We reserved our table at 7pm and arrived when the restaurant was still half full. We ordered drinks, appetizers and main courses. The drinks came fairly quickly, the Georgian wine was good and we eagerly waited for our starters. To our surprise, all the tables around us who came later, both in larger groups, got their starters before us. The entrees arrived about an hour after we ordered. They were pretty good, but after waiting an hour, I expected them to be phenomenal. When we waited for our main courses afterwards, some of the tables that arrived later had already finished eating. In total it still took a whole hour until we got our main courses. Some dishes were well prepared and presented, but some of them, particularly those in the pictures served in clay pots, were served on regular deep plates and the presentation was not particularly appetizing. It must also be said that the overly dominant tarragon note, which overpowers everything else, is certainly not to everyone's taste. The final surprise was that the restaurant doesn't accept card payments, which is a real hassle these days.

The food was very tasty. But I think that nowadays you can no longer just offer cash payment. Almost a year ago I was told that there were problems with the cash register. This reason was mentioned again this week. Not very credible for me.

Expectations have been exceeded by far! Huge variety of meat and vegan meals, excellent use of herbs and spices without spoiling the quality of ingredients with salty or sweet sauces. Especially the house-made estragon-lemonade was rather refreshing than sweet. Prices are low compared to the quality. Highly recommendable !

Great Georgian restaurant. The best khinkali I ate outside of Georgia, and I tried a lot of Georgian restaurants in different countries.

Zwei Besuche, beide Male nicht zufriedenstellend - einen dritten Versuch werden wir dem Restaurant nicht mehr geben ... Zum Essen: Wir hatten die sehr leckere gemischte Vorspeisenplatte und zwei Hauptgerichte: den Bohneneintopf "Lobio" und Ajapsandali. Die Hauptgerichte haben bei beiden Besuchen sehr lange auf sich warten lassen. Der Bohneneintopf kam dann schließlich in einem leicht erwärmten Tonkrug, war in der Mitte aber leider noch eiskalt. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass er eigentlich warm sein sollte. Wir haben ihn daher einpacken lassen und zuhause aufgewärmt gegessen. Die Beilagen entsprachen auch nicht den in der Karte genannten gegrillten Kartoffelecken & Brot, sondern wurden ohne Erklärung durch einen Salat oder das bereits in der Vorspeise servierte eingelegte Gemüse ersetzt. Hier hätten wir uns eine Erklärung gewünscht - zumal die anderen Gäste neben uns die Kartoffelecken erhalten haben. Zum Service: Die Bedienungen sind freundlich, wir haben aber nicht das Gefühl dass sie sich wirklich für ihre Gäste interessieren. Sie ließ leider oft auf sich warten und es wurde nicht einmal nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Obwohl das Restaurant am Mittwochabend nur mäßig besucht war und viele Tische frei waren, wurden neue Gäste direkt neben uns platziert, so dass wir jedes Wort des anderen Paares hören konnten und uns ohne Probleme das Essen hätten teilen können. Auch nachdem wir die Rechnung bekommen haben wird lieber die Bestellung für eine große Gruppe aufgenommen, alle Getränke zubereitet und serviert, bevor man uns wieder Aufmerksamkeit schenkt. Insgesamt hinterließ es einen negativen Eindruck bei uns, und wir werden das Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen. Als Feedback können wir daher nur sagen, dass die Mitarbeiter ihre Gäste aufmerksamer betreuen sollten, die Gerichte in der richtigen Temperatur und vor allem früher servieren und Änderungen an den Gerichten kommunizieren.

Uns hat das Ambiente sehr gefallen, trotz der doch eher großen Räumlichkeit ist es nicht laut, sodass man sich am Tisch gut unterhalten kann. Uns wurde gesagt in der Küche stehen echte georgische Frauen die ihre traditionellen Rezepte kochen. Hervorzuheben ist aber vor allem der sehr gute Service. Sehr freundliche und gut gelaunte Angestellte, die auch beraten. Das macht wirklich viel aus heutzutage, weiter so! Das nicht alle Gerichte den Geschmack von einem treffen ist klar, aber alles war gut zubereitet und authentisch wie es sein sollte. Die Portionen sind sättigend. Die kleinen Maisbrote die bei einigen Gerichten dazu kommen waren wirklich sehr gut, ich hatte sie eigentlich nach einem Besuch bei einem anderen Georgier abgeschrieben gehabt. Das beste,Chatschapuri, hat es leider nicht mehr auf ein Foto geschafft ;) Georgischer Rotwein auch sehr gut. Tipp: nach Dessertangebot fragen, der Hinweis dazu auf der Rückseite der Karte geht etwas unter. Wir hatten ein Stück ,,Leniwij Napoleon“, eine vereinfachte Variante der klassischen Napoleon Torte, die auch lecker war. Sanitäranlagen auch alles sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet. Parkplatzsituation leider in dem Viertel sehr kritisch.

Das war sehr lecker! Der Vorspeisenteller ist so wunderbar abwechslungsreich. Die Hauptspeise ist aich sehr lecker. Das Hähnchenfleisch war so zart und würzig! Es gab sogar auf Wunsch die Reste total toll verpackt mit nach Hause 😊

Wir hatten eine Vorspeisenplatte für bis zu 3 Personen und es hat uns alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich Lamm mit Estragon, Mirabellen und Wein. Meine Frau probierte Hähnchenfleisch mit Walnuss-Sauce. Dazu gab es jeweils Bratkartoffelschnitte und frisches Brot. Beide Gerichte haben uns prima geschmeckt. Wir werden wieder kommen und noch andere Gerichte probieren.

Das Essen ist hier echt sehr lecker, frisch zubereitet und heiß serviert. Die Preise sind voll in Ordnung, 18€ für Hauptspeise, Portion mit Vorspeise völlig ausreichend. Tschechisches Bier von Fass bekommt man auch nicht überall! Komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

This was overall a very positive experience and we enjoyed our time here very much. The Khinkali are super tasty and the staff are very friendly and attentive. However the 3 out of 5 stars are purely due to the price, we paid 66€ for two people having ordered no wine or spirits.

The food and atmosphere are great! I love the unique Georgian flavours of the many dishes prepared with love and creativity by Chef Natia. A must try is the chicken in blackcurrant sauce. The flavours are so delicate and unique. Their dumplings are very tasty too. Good drinks too. My favourite is the tarragon lemonade!

Beeindruckend. Geschmackvoll und eine kleine Reise in eine andere kulinarische Welt. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Interessante Weine aus dem Kaukasus. Das georgische Essen mit den besonderen Zutaten wird sehr schön angerichtet und hat mir fantastisch geschmeckt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen (auch Vegetariern) und werde wieder kommen. Top

First time I go there..but a looot of friends recommended it, so I feel comfortable in my feedback. Disclaimer: I'm a sucker for Georgian cousin. Pros: the food and wine is good. That's it...go for it. Order almost anything. I shared 4 or 5 dishes with friends..it was all good. Cons: some portion of meat were small in my opinion. They gave quite generous garnish of potatoes and bread...but still..

As for georgian restaurant - average. No georgian atmosphere (e.g. georgian music), no decorations, food also doesn't feel like strong taste georgian food (e.g. small amount of coriander). In general normal restaurant, but without georgian vibe.
