Very tasty Georgian food. Unfortunately, the service was in a bad mood on the day of the test. The atmosphere is very nice. The toilets could use another renovation. Price/performance was OK.

We had Georgian food for the first time today and we really enjoyed it. Everything was fine in the restaurant. A great atmosphere, delicious, fresh and completely homemade food and good service. The starter platter and the main courses were more than generous and the prices were reasonable.

I visited this restaurant with friends several times and tried all their khachapuri, khinkali, barbecue and other national dishes. Unfortunately the food was very bad. The blonde lady who served us was unhelpful and seemed annoyed when we asked for recommendations. We had to google the food ourselves because she wouldn't help us. She also became even more unfriendly because we took a little longer to order. Overall a disappointing experience

Just bad!!!! We were really looking forward to Georgian food, the first thing that shocked me was the ambience, dust everywhere, a table that you were literally stuck to... I actually wanted to leave straight away, but we were invited by our parents, moved outside and wanted to go Giving food a chance...was also horrible, potatoes were transparent with fat, meat was warmed up, dry. Chachapuri was still mediocre but prepared with fake cheese...Chinkalli also two stars...I know Georgian cuisine quite well...unfortunately that's not the case here, I would really just advise against visiting...and I I often ask myself how can one organize such a business and deal with it so half-heartedly. Just embarrassing...

Персонал не дружественный, обслуживание медленное, еда не вкусная. Я знаю что такое грузинское гостеприимство и насколько вкусные грузинские блюда, но в Pepella было всё абсолютно по другому. В ресторане было не уютно, там много столов и очень шумно, туалет был грязный. Девушка встретила нас с таким видом, как будто не рада была нас видеть. Наш заказ мы ждали почти час. Закуска из баклажанов была безвкусной, шашлык был пережаренный. Я дозаказала себе ещё хинкали, но так и не дождалась своего заказа. И в завершении нашего ужина, когда мы уже заплатили, но в наших бокалах было ещё вино, подошёл официант и попросил нас пересесть за другой стол. Это было неожиданно для нас и не приятно. Мы просто встали и ушли. Жаль, что праздник был испорчен как для моей дочери, так и для нас, гостей. Pepella точно не грузинский ресторан, а лишь жалкое подобие на него...

We celebrated the birthday of my daughter, who invited us to this restaurant and expected to get a pleasant experience from Georgian cuisine and service. Unfortunately it was a complete disappointment. The staff is not friendly, the service is slow, the food is not tasty. I know what Georgian hospitality is and how delicious Georgian dishes are, but at Pepella everything was completely different. The restaurant was not cozy, there were many tables and very noisy, the toilet was dirty. The girl greeted us with an air as if she was not happy to see us. We waited for our order for almost an hour. The eggplant appetizer was tasteless, the kebab was overcooked. I ordered more khinkali for myself, but still didn’t receive my order. And at the end of our dinner, when we had already paid, but there was still wine in our glasses, the waiter came up to us and asked us to move to another table. This was unexpected for us and not pleasant. We just got up and left. It’s a pity that the holiday was ruined both for my daughter and for us, the guests. Pepella is definitely not a Georgian restaurant, but only a pathetic semblance of it....

The food was quite good. Solid compared to other Georgian restaurants I've visited. We had a table with a direct view of the kitchen. The ambience could be improved somewhat, as could the service. Price-performance is absolutely okay. Unfortunately, the ambience doesn't invite you to linger.

Uncomfortable seating. Very very long waiting times, even for the cold starters, more than an hour. Lots of options in menu but not available there. Bad service.

We were in this restaurant today with friends and children, just avoid it, we have NEVER had such terrible service. We waited for more than an hour and a half for the dishes, the order was taken incorrectly and the cherry on the cake, the same items were duplicated on the check.

We came especially from Wuppertal, called for 9 p.m., and arrived slightly late at 9:15 p.m., only to be told that the kitchen was closed. Never again. Addendum: Pepella's comment is also not true. If only you would at least stand by it. It's a shame because the food was definitely delicious...

Pleasant Georgian Place, service was a bit slow

Unfortunately a totally overpriced failure! The service was inattentive and unfriendly and the restaurant in general wasn't very clean - a shame, as the interior is very nice. Now about the food: it tasted okay, but it was clearly not enough for the high prices. The dumplings were still too hard and the dough of the filled bread was still partially raw. At the end, my companion and I were given food poisoning and all that for free and on top. Never again!

Very tasty food, something completely new (for me) I would like to try a few more dishes again

Very nice restaurant with authentic Georgian dishes, wine and drinks. If you've always wanted to try tarragon lemonade, you've come to the right place ;) Be sure to try the khinkali. We were also very impressed by the service and ambience; there are also a few places outside in summer. We'll come back again, definitely!

Wir sind öfter hier und es war bisher immer super lecker und authentisch! Wir saßen draußen und haben das Essen genossen!! Es macht immer viel Spaß zu Pepella zu kommen. Das Essen (vor allem der Hähnchenspieß mit Brombeersauce 😍 ich liebs!!), das Personal und die Location sind top!

Ich wollte meinem Sohn an seinem Geburtstag eine Freude machen und entschied mich, Gäste in dieses Restaurant einzuladen. Leider stellte sich dies als großer Fehler heraus. Von Anfang an war der Service katastrophal – unfreundlich, langsam und absolut unaufmerksam. Wir mussten ewig warten, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden, und als das Essen schließlich kam, war die Enttäuschung groß. Das Restaurant hat den besonderen Anlass leider komplett ruiniert, und wir werden definitiv nicht noch einmal wiederkommen. Schade, dass so ein wichtiger Tag so negativ geprägt wurde. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert!

i really love georgian cuisine and in Pepella it’s very delicious, however, last few times we were there it took eternity to get our food. it took at least an hour. moreover, last time we were there firstly they didn’t let us sit at the table we’d sat at every time we were there before, because it was „too big“ for us, even though the restaurant wasn’t full at all. then, when we asked for a bill after finishing our meal it turned out that they didn’t accept cards that day, so my husband had to walk to the closest atm which was 15mins away. and we were there with a baby who had to go to bed already. we wondered why they didn’t let us know as soon as we came there. my husband could‘ve gone to the atm while waiting for the food 🙄 in the end we were so upset feeling very sorry that their dishes are so delicious, but the service spoils the whole experience and makes us think if we should come again at all…

This lovely Georgian restaurant is something very special. You eat exceptional, delicious food in a tasteful ambience with a great atmosphere. I have tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed. The waitresses are always warm and courteous. I always recommend Pepella to all my friends and acquaintances with a clear conscience and always feel like coming here. You can sit nicely both outside and inside, and many people like it here, so a reservation can be helpful to get a table straight away. I don't know anyone yet who didn't like it here. A restaurant with bad service! I can give 3 points for the food, but unfortunately the service is terrible. Rude employees and bad service! The atmosphere of the restaurant also only deserves 1-2 stars. The ventilation in the restaurant was poor and there was no light outside. The salad was only brought after 30 minutes. We got the first khinkali after 1 hour and five minutes, the chatshapuri after 1 hour and 15 minutes and the second khinkali after 1 hour and 25 minutes! When I complained, their excuse was that the menu said that khinkali takes 30 minutes to prepare and that they had a lot of customers. If the chef needs help preparing the orders, he can enlist the help of the customers! The only positive thing about this restaurant was the Georgian pear flavored lemonade!

Pepella in Düsseldorf really impressed me! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The Georgian dishes, especially the khinkali and khachapuri, are absolutely delicious and authentic. The service is friendly and attentive. A real highlight in the city – highly recommended!

Dirty tables, wobbly chairs, the general atmosphere is horrible!!! The food: Shish kebab consists of pork steaks, roughly chopped and fried or warmed up on the pan. Chinkalli, dough much too thick. The ratings on Google are incorrect...

Khinkali was delicious. Khachapuri too, but the dough around the edges was raw. The waiting time for the order was very long: khinkali 30 minutes, khachapuri about an hour. The service is not friendly. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.

A bad parody of Georgian cuisine. Savoy cabbage came in somewhere in the Georgian salad. Cut into large pieces. The pkhali are tasteless. The kebab is mediocre. I don’t recommend khinkali at all and I don’t recommend taking it. The dough is half broken, the minced meat is not very tasty. All this is seasoned with 50 minute waits. And terrible prices - 50 € per person

Ich war angenehm überrascht von Geschmack und Qualität der Gerichte in diesem Restaurant. Die Khinkali, die wir bestellt haben, waren einfach köstlich - saftig und aromatisch. Genau solche haben wir in Georgien gegessen. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Allerdings hat die Atmosphäre des Restaurants nicht ganz die authentische georgische Stimmung vermittelt. Trotzdem hat dies unsere Erfahrung nicht getrübt, und ich würde diesen Ort für all jene empfehlen, die die georgische Küche zu schätzen wissen. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the dishes in this restaurant. The Khinkali we ordered was simply delicious - juicy and flavorful. We ate exactly the same ones in Georgia. The service was fast and friendly. However, although the cuisine lived up to expectations, the restaurant's decor did not quite convey the authentic Georgian atmosphere. In any case, this did not mar our experience and I recommend this place for those who appreciate Georgian cuisine.

Took the mixed starter plate, although unfortunately there were only two slices of bread left because the bread was out. This is of course very unfavorable if it consists of 90% dips. Still paid the full price of €21... The two main courses were not served at the same time, but almost 10 minutes apart. Food was OK then. Nothing special. Too much coriander for my taste. We wouldn't eat there again.

I waited an hour for the kebab, then they told me that the cook didn’t get it.... Hm..., but on the other hand, at the same time, an ambulance from the cafe took a woman with poisoning..., I think that was the reason " the meat turned out poorly."... Well, something like this, the khachapuri was also a C grade, the cheese was lumpy and stretched like plasticine...

The food is terrible! The kebab was overcooked, like it was fried in a frying pan, overcooked. Khachapuri raw dough! Hair was found in the salad! As if they were doing it to harm us. My wife and sister were wearing hijab, we are Muslims, maybe because of this? We were treated poorly from the very beginning, we waited a long time... in the end, we got poisoned!

A friend and I wanted to try out a restaurant that was new to us and thanks to a tip (thanks Sturmafffel), we tried Pepella. I had easily reserved a table online and (after some problems finding a parking space) we sat quite comfortably at our table. There was football going on in the next room, but that's to be expected when it's the European Championships. Our order was taken quickly and friendly, even with the hint that it might be a bit too much. And this was also correct! We really enjoyed the food and it was exciting to try new things, so we rolled out of the restaurant full and happy. My friend was able to take what was a bit too much with him in a box. We would be happy to try other dishes on the menu again soon. This won't be the only visit!

Ein Freund und ich wollten mal wieder ein für uns neues Restaurant ausprobieren und durch einen Tipp (Danke Sturmwaffel), testen wir das Pepella. Ich hatte einen Tisch unkompliziert online reserviert und (nach einigen Parkplatz-Suche-Problemen) saßen wir recht gemütlich an unserem Tisch. Im Nebenraum lief Fußball, aber das kann man ja durchaus erwarten, wenn gerade EM ist. Schnell und freundlich wurde unsere Bestellung aufgenommen, auch mit dem Hinweis, dass es ggf. etwas zu viel sein könnte. Und dies war auch korrekt! Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und es war spannend, mal Neues zu testen und so "rollten" wir satt und glücklich wieder aus dem Restaurant. Das, was etwas zu viel war, konnte mein Kumpel dann eingepackt mitnehmen. Sehr gerne testen wir bald einmal wieder andere Gerichte der Karte. Dies wird nicht der einzige Besuch bleiben!

I’m pretty sure it’s a good place, but lady who called herself SHEF here, clearly doesn’t understand what service is. She was extremely rude. I love Georgia, I love Georgian food, but this lady is the reason why great places going to lose customers. If you hate people please do not run restaurant.

It's my first time eating Georgian food. And it certainly won't be my last. The food is freshly made, tastes healthy, and delicious. Special shout out to the Georgian wine! The ambience is pleasant enough for a Friday night dating, but it's not intimidating. The service staff is friendly. I'll be back.

Small Georgian Restaurant with tasty meals. We tasted Imeretian khachapuri, mtsvadi (was so juicy) and kebab. It was very good. And bread was just from stove crispy and soft. Definitely recommend this place.

We paid almost 50 euros for a starter (small, but 17 euros), a khachapuri adjaruli (the size was a joke) and two drinks. The ambience. There were dead flies next to me and moths were flying around. We had reserved and then a couple came after us and sat down 10 cm next to us. So once and never again. Absolutely disappointing.

I was here on june 8th. And I haven’t been to a worse restaurant. We were seated and next thing you know a couple sat 10 cm next to us. First we saw a dead fly on the window pane, a moth flying in the air and a fruit fly or two. I ordered the mixed entree and i almost broke my tooth on the spinach dip. The fried maïs bread was so hard that I could build a house with it! The adjapuri katchapuri when broken down was watery. I have absolutely no words for a restaurant like this. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog. Disgusting.

Everything was great and incredibly tasty

We are an hour drive from Pepella, but we come here as often as we can, because of great people are working there, they have amazing food and very cosy and nice atmosphere. Thanks for warm welcome every time we come in restaurant.

After thinking about it for a long time, we went there for dinner for the first time today. The restaurant is in a great location. Menu card was nicely presented, but the food compared to the price was not at all commensurate. We had to wait a long time and the starter came together with the main course🙁, the dumplings were also raw, but overpriced. There were 6 of us in total. At the end of the meal a bill suddenly appeared on the table without asking us whether we wanted to pay together or separately. No longer recommended.

We had the mixed starter plate, which was too expensive at just under 20 euros. Afterwards we had two different types of dumplings, some of which were raw. The service was very cold and everything took a very long time. We wouldn't eat here again.

Gut besuchtes georgisches Restaurant in Düsseldorf, das wir bereits zwei Male besucht haben. Beide Male war der Service von der Masse der Gäste sehr herausgefordert, für auftretende Fehler hatten wir deshalb Verständnis. Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte zum Ausprobieren. Insgesamt ist die georgische Küche recht deftig. Khinkali sind ein Muss (beim ersten Besuch war der Teig etwas instabil, beim zweiten Mal wie er sein sollte.) Nadughi Pitnit (Frischkäsekrem) fehlte etwas die Würze, das Maisbrot dazu ist eine leckere Erfahrung. Khatschapuri Adscharuli (Brotschiff mit Käse und Spiegelei) war sehr lecker, ebenso der gegrillte Hähnchenspieß. Das Tschaqafuli (Lammfleisch mit Estragon und Frühlingskräutern) ist eher eine Art Suppe/Eintopf (?) und hätte etwas mehr Würze vertragen können.

I’ve had the chance to taste georgian food in Georgia and this restaurant would be in the top in Georgia. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was a level of kindness I hadn’t seen in a while. If you’re ever in Dusseldorf, this restaurant has to be on your to do list. Congrats to the owners for running such an amazing spot.
