Wir sind öfter hier und es war bisher immer super lecker und authentisch! Wir saßen draußen und haben das Essen genossen!! Es macht immer viel Spaß zu Pepella zu kommen. Das Essen (vor allem der Hähnchenspieß mit Brombeersauce 😍 ich liebs!!), das Personal und die Location sind top!

Ich wollte meinem Sohn an seinem Geburtstag eine Freude machen und entschied mich, Gäste in dieses Restaurant einzuladen. Leider stellte sich dies als großer Fehler heraus. Von Anfang an war der Service katastrophal – unfreundlich, langsam und absolut unaufmerksam. Wir mussten ewig warten, bis wir überhaupt bedient wurden, und als das Essen schließlich kam, war die Enttäuschung groß. Das Restaurant hat den besonderen Anlass leider komplett ruiniert, und wir werden definitiv nicht noch einmal wiederkommen. Schade, dass so ein wichtiger Tag so negativ geprägt wurde. Absolut nicht empfehlenswert!

i really love georgian cuisine and in Pepella it’s very delicious, however, last few times we were there it took eternity to get our food. it took at least an hour. moreover, last time we were there firstly they didn’t let us sit at the table we’d sat at every time we were there before, because it was „too big“ for us, even though the restaurant wasn’t full at all. then, when we asked for a bill after finishing our meal it turned out that they didn’t accept cards that day, so my husband had to walk to the closest atm which was 15mins away. and we were there with a baby who had to go to bed already. we wondered why they didn’t let us know as soon as we came there. my husband could‘ve gone to the atm while waiting for the food 🙄 in the end we were so upset feeling very sorry that their dishes are so delicious, but the service spoils the whole experience and makes us think if we should come again at all…

Just bad!!!! We were really looking forward to Georgian food, the first thing that shocked me was the ambience, dust everywhere, a table that you were literally stuck to... I actually wanted to leave straight away, but we were invited by our parents, moved outside and wanted to go Giving food a chance...was also horrible, potatoes were transparent with fat, meat was warmed up, dry. Chachapuri was still mediocre but made with fake cheese...Chinkalli also two stars...I've been to Tbilisi many times and know Georgian cuisine quite well...unfortunately that's not the case here, I would really just advise against visiting ...and I often ask myself, how can you organize a business like that and deal with it so half-heartedly? Just embarrassing...

This lovely Georgian restaurant is something very special. You eat exceptional, delicious food in a tasteful ambience with a great atmosphere. I have tried many dishes here and have never been disappointed. The waitresses are always warm and courteous. I always recommend Pepella to all my friends and acquaintances with a clear conscience and always feel like coming here. You can sit nicely both outside and inside, and many people like it here, so a reservation can be helpful to get a table straight away. I don't know anyone yet who didn't like it here. A restaurant with bad service! I can give 3 points for the food, but unfortunately the service is terrible. Rude employees and bad service! The atmosphere of the restaurant also only deserves 1-2 stars. The ventilation in the restaurant was poor and there was no light outside. The salad was only brought after 30 minutes. We got the first khinkali after 1 hour and five minutes, the chatshapuri after 1 hour and 15 minutes and the second khinkali after 1 hour and 25 minutes! When I complained, their excuse was that the menu said that khinkali takes 30 minutes to prepare and that they had a lot of customers. If the chef needs help preparing the orders, he can enlist the help of the customers! The only positive thing about this restaurant was the Georgian pear flavored lemonade!

Pepella in Düsseldorf really impressed me! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The Georgian dishes, especially the khinkali and khachapuri, are absolutely delicious and authentic. The service is friendly and attentive. A real highlight in the city – highly recommended!

Khinkali was delicious. Khachapuri too, but the dough around the edges was raw. The waiting time for the order was very long: khinkali 30 minutes, khachapuri about an hour. The service is not friendly. Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired.

I love Georgian cuisine and this restaurant meets all my taste desires. Everything I've tried so far is delicious. The Khinkali are world class, the ones with meat but also the ones with cheese 😍

A bad parody of Georgian cuisine. Savoy cabbage came in somewhere in the Georgian salad. Cut into large pieces. The pkhali are tasteless. The kebab is mediocre. I don’t recommend khinkali at all and I don’t recommend taking it. The dough is half broken, the minced meat is not very tasty. All this is seasoned with 50 minute waits. And terrible prices - 50 € per person

Ich war angenehm überrascht von Geschmack und Qualität der Gerichte in diesem Restaurant. Die Khinkali, die wir bestellt haben, waren einfach köstlich - saftig und aromatisch. Genau solche haben wir in Georgien gegessen. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Allerdings hat die Atmosphäre des Restaurants nicht ganz die authentische georgische Stimmung vermittelt. Trotzdem hat dies unsere Erfahrung nicht getrübt, und ich würde diesen Ort für all jene empfehlen, die die georgische Küche zu schätzen wissen. We were pleasantly surprised by the taste and quality of the dishes in this restaurant. The Khinkali we ordered was simply delicious - juicy and flavorful. We ate exactly the same ones in Georgia. The service was fast and friendly. However, although the cuisine lived up to expectations, the restaurant's decor did not quite convey the authentic Georgian atmosphere. In any case, this did not mar our experience and I recommend this place for those who appreciate Georgian cuisine.

Took the mixed starter plate, although unfortunately there were only two slices of bread left because the bread was out. This is of course very unfavorable if it consists of 90% dips. Still paid the full price of €21... The two main courses were not served at the same time, but almost 10 minutes apart. Food was OK then. Nothing special. Too much coriander for my taste. We wouldn't eat there again.

The food is terrible! The kebab was overcooked, like it was fried in a frying pan, overcooked. Khachapuri raw dough! Hair was found in the salad! As if they were doing it to harm us. My wife and sister were wearing hijab, we are Muslims, maybe because of this? We were treated poorly from the very beginning, we waited a long time... in the end, we got poisoned!

I waited an hour for the kebab, then they told me that the cook didn’t get it.... Hm..., but on the other hand, at the same time, an ambulance from the cafe took a woman with poisoning..., I think that was the reason " the meat turned out poorly."... Well, something like this, the khachapuri was also a C grade, the cheese was lumpy and stretched like plasticine...

Ein Freund und ich wollten mal wieder ein für uns neues Restaurant ausprobieren und durch einen Tipp (Danke Sturmwaffel), testen wir das Pepella. Ich hatte einen Tisch unkompliziert online reserviert und (nach einigen Parkplatz-Suche-Problemen) saßen wir recht gemütlich an unserem Tisch. Im Nebenraum lief Fußball, aber das kann man ja durchaus erwarten, wenn gerade EM ist. Schnell und freundlich wurde unsere Bestellung aufgenommen, auch mit dem Hinweis, dass es ggf. etwas zu viel sein könnte. Und dies war auch korrekt! Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und es war spannend, mal Neues zu testen und so "rollten" wir satt und glücklich wieder aus dem Restaurant. Das, was etwas zu viel war, konnte mein Kumpel dann eingepackt mitnehmen. Sehr gerne testen wir bald einmal wieder andere Gerichte der Karte. Dies wird nicht der einzige Besuch bleiben!

A friend and I wanted to try out a restaurant that was new to us and thanks to a tip (thanks Sturmafffel), we tried Pepella. I had easily reserved a table online and (after some problems finding a parking space) we sat quite comfortably at our table. There was football going on in the next room, but that's to be expected when it's the European Championships. Our order was taken quickly and friendly, even with the hint that it might be a bit too much. And this was also correct! We really enjoyed the food and it was exciting to try new things, so we rolled out of the restaurant full and happy. My friend was able to take what was a bit too much with him in a box. We would be happy to try other dishes on the menu again soon. This won't be the only visit!

The minced meat roll in the tortilla was really well seasoned and tasted great, but the skewer was unfortunately very disappointing, had no taste and was carelessly prepared. All portions were too small.

We were there this week. The food is very tasty, delicately seasoned and pretty much the freshest Georgian cuisine I know. Special requests were addressed directly by the boss. Great cinema when it comes to the topic of “customer service”. You can look into the kitchen at any time. All in all, it was absolutely worth it. I will come back ! Keep it up !

It was a wonderful evening with delicious food and a bottle of very good red wine. The selection of Georgian specialties is very good, there should be something for every taste. I’m pretty sure it’s a good place, but lady who called herself SHEF here, clearly doesn’t understand what service is. She was extremely rude. I love Georgia, I love Georgian food, but this lady is the reason why great places going to lose customers. If you hate people please do not run restaurant.

It's my first time eating Georgian food. And it certainly won't be my last. The food is freshly made, tastes healthy, and delicious. Special shout out to the Georgian wine! The ambience is pleasant enough for a Friday night dating, but it's not intimidating. The service staff is friendly. I'll be back.

Small Georgian Restaurant with tasty meals. We tasted Imeretian khachapuri, mtsvadi (was so juicy) and kebab. It was very good. And bread was just from stove crispy and soft. Definitely recommend this place.

We paid almost 50 euros for a starter (small, but 17 euros), a khachapuri adjaruli (the size was a joke) and two drinks. The ambience. There were dead flies next to me and moths were flying around. We had reserved and then a couple came after us and sat down 10 cm next to us. So once and never again. Absolutely disappointing.

I was here on june 8th. And I haven’t been to a worse restaurant. We were seated and next thing you know a couple sat 10 cm next to us. First we saw a dead fly on the window pane, a moth flying in the air and a fruit fly or two. I ordered the mixed entree and i almost broke my tooth on the spinach dip. The fried maïs bread was so hard that I could build a house with it! The adjapuri katchapuri when broken down was watery. I have absolutely no words for a restaurant like this. I wouldn’t feed this to my dog. Disgusting.

We are an hour drive from Pepella, but we come here as often as we can, because of great people are working there, they have amazing food and very cosy and nice atmosphere. Thanks for warm welcome every time we come in restaurant.

After thinking about it for a long time, we went there for dinner for the first time today. The restaurant is in a great location. Menu card was nicely presented, but the food compared to the price was not at all commensurate. We had to wait a long time and the starter came together with the main course🙁, the dumplings were also raw, but overpriced. There were 6 of us in total. At the end of the meal a bill suddenly appeared on the table without asking us whether we wanted to pay together or separately. No longer recommended.

Gut besuchtes georgisches Restaurant in Düsseldorf, das wir bereits zwei Male besucht haben. Beide Male war der Service von der Masse der Gäste sehr herausgefordert, für auftretende Fehler hatten wir deshalb Verständnis. Wir hatten verschiedene Gerichte zum Ausprobieren. Insgesamt ist die georgische Küche recht deftig. Khinkali sind ein Muss (beim ersten Besuch war der Teig etwas instabil, beim zweiten Mal wie er sein sollte.) Nadughi Pitnit (Frischkäsekrem) fehlte etwas die Würze, das Maisbrot dazu ist eine leckere Erfahrung. Khatschapuri Adscharuli (Brotschiff mit Käse und Spiegelei) war sehr lecker, ebenso der gegrillte Hähnchenspieß. Das Tschaqafuli (Lammfleisch mit Estragon und Frühlingskräutern) ist eher eine Art Suppe/Eintopf (?) und hätte etwas mehr Würze vertragen können.

I’ve had the chance to taste georgian food in Georgia and this restaurant would be in the top in Georgia. The food was absolutely amazing, the service was a level of kindness I hadn’t seen in a while. If you’re ever in Dusseldorf, this restaurant has to be on your to do list. Congrats to the owners for running such an amazing spot.

I am so happy to have found this restaurant! After trying Georgian cuisine when being in Russia I was hooked. I promised my husband I would take him to a Georgian restaurant, however we live in the South of the Netherlands and there is no Georgian restaurant to be found. Luckily I discovered this place when visiting Düsseldorf. The Khinkali and Khatschapuri Adscharuli were amazing. We even ordered an extra portion of khinkali’s, they were that good. You have to wait a bit longer for the Khinkali because they make them fresh, but it’s totally worth it.

The food was a taste experience in a class of its own - every dish was prepared with love and skill. The friendly and courteous service rounded off the excellent culinary experience. An absolute must for all gourmets and lovers of Georgian cuisine!

It was our first and last time here. This restaurant is so badly organized and not worth the visit. We arrived with 6 persons and were really looking forward to trying the khinkali. It was already written on the menu that it takes 30 minutes to prepare. But what we got was the meat plates first after waiting for already one hour, and then 20 minutes later the Khinkali. We also received a plate we did not order. After asking the staff about when the Khinkali would arrive and also informed them about the wrong plate, they did not seem to understand or care. They just nodded very fast.The ambiance was very stressed and one of the waiters even ignored me the first time I waived. It was clear they had no control, but I don't understand why because the restaurant is quite small and they were with 3 persons. It was very disappointing because they did not even take the effort to ask a coworker who knew English or German. My mom is a Russian speaker so she told them again in Russian. They finally understood and took back the wrong plate. No apology and no reaction. After the Khinkali arrived after 20 min, we did not even receive an apology for the delay. The Khinkali is really not that great. The rest of the food was actually very tasty. Because of the bad service, I would not recommend or visit this place again.

Wonderful Georgian cuisine restaurant. Everything was perfect.

Saw a recommendation on Instagram and spontaneously decided to visit, it sounded pretty good. It was an experience that I will not repeat. The bench on the right at the entrance is an imposition. Much too narrow, so I quickly swapped places. We chose a starter that we had to wait far too long for. Accordingly, the main course (grilled pork) came much too early. The grilled meat had a pleasant, smoky, spicy taste, but the quality of the meat left a lot to be desired. (Lots of fatty and tough parts). The filled meat pocket was pure boredom in terms of taste. Something more delicate and The starter was more original. But for €11.90 it's definitely too expensive. “Small but mighty” couldn’t compensate for that. Conclusion: The cuisine is too hearty for me, “not my cup of coffee”, and I also didn’t like the ambience of the restaurant at all.

The food was very good! The service and the waiting time until someone comes and brings the drinks is terrible. we will rather try other Georgian restaurants in Cologne.

Very limited selection of dishes, everything tastes great: greens, nuts, meat, dough - super. They offered neither matsoni nor sour cream with Khinkali. They piled them up in a heap and didn’t arrange them nicely. The salad had a lot of onions in large pieces. The compote was simply placed in a jar from the store on the table; I had to pick at the plastic packaging. Cooking time was 50 minutes. Overall: we need decanters, napkins, beautiful presentation and more attention from the staff.

There was a beetle on the plate with the food. This is a nightmare. The khinkali is delicious, except for the beetle in it. Khachapuri is ok. The staff doesn't care about one thing, we had to wait at the entrance. We had reserved a table outside but when we arrived there was no table at all, we had to sit at the exit. refused to substitute a court. They didn't deduct the khinkali from the bill.

Unfortunately we didn't like it. First of all we were given a table that had not been cleaned by the previous guests. The reception from the staff wasn't particularly friendly either. The starter came together with the main course. The grilled pork was very tough, and the potatoes were not seasoned at all. We didn't get the khinkali we ordered, but they were listed on the bill for payment. All in all a big disappointment.

If you have some time, you will have a wonderful evening with delicious food! The appetizer combo is highly recommended, the salad is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere is totally cozy!

Holy moly. It has been a while since I tried new cuisine and this Georgian restaurant is not to be missed. The food was superb and delicious. We got the chicken in creamy garlic sauce (#21 in the menu). The chicken was seared perfectly. It melts in your mouth. The dish has pomegranate which balances the savory taste. Brilliant! We also got the Khinkali with cheese and mushroom fillings. It was so tasty. I like the ones mushroom fillings better. It was my first time to try something like that and now I question my decisions in life. I should have tried it a long time ago. Lastly we ordered the Khachapuri. It is yummy and very filling. Their food is good for sharing. I would suggest to order different dishes so you can try everything. :) The ambience is also chill and nice. Music is light so you can enjoy the good food with conversations with friends or significant others. :) Place is quite packed so I suggest to secure a reservation. The service is also good. They are kind and attentive. We will definitely go back!

We came for dinner, 6 persons. And we spent a wonderful evening. We enjoyed Khatchapuri and Khinkali as starters. The redwine was absolutely beautiful. And I did also enjoy the moutton with white wine that I had as main course. The service was super friendly. Not many people know Georgian food and wine, so it is definetely a pleasant discovery not to miss. Highly recommendable.

Weiterhin fand ich die Lammkoteletts sehr gut. Es war gut gewürzt und das Fleisch sehr zart. Zusätzlich ist das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei der Bestellung. We ordered a selection of things to share but foud the portions to be really quite large and had not planned for that! we ate as much as we could and it was all good quality, super tasty, a nice first experience of Georgian food. Book ahead as its a busy place but worth the visit.

We went to eat here after a recommendation. However, we were more than disappointed. The food was completely unseasoned and therefore tasteless. And the service did the rest. Super unprofessional employees. Drinks not refilled, bill not brought after repeated requests, but smoked outside in front of us. It's a shame for Georgian cuisine, because we know it so much better. You can ruin your reputation so quickly.

We ate there with five people. Although we were really looking forward to the visit, we were disappointed. The service in particular was unfortunately very bad that day: - The starters were not served at the same time (even though they were the same dish), but only brought at the same time as the main course upon request. - An appetizer was served and charged that we did not order. We didn't notice this until later because we saw them as part of the starter combo. - After the food was served, unfortunately we no longer saw any service staff near our table. - When we asked to pay at the counter, the total bill was placed on the table without comment. We were therefore not asked whether we wanted to pay jointly or separately. We found the Khatchapuri Ajaruli (baked bread ship with cheese and egg) and Khinkali (filled dumplings) delicious. We ate the rest of the dishes better in other Georgian restaurants. We found the appetizer combination to be disproportionately expensive in terms of price-performance ratio.

This is a very nice little Georgian restaurant. You can taste the delicious dishes of Georgian cuisine. They also have great dessert wines. Prices are reasonable. You should try this place, I liked here very much.

Good place to try Georgian cuisine! We loved the khatschapuri and the chicken in garlic cream sauce. The pear drink was good too!

Amazing Georgian food with an upscale atmosphere. Service was fast and friendly. Try all the favorites to share! The food is moderately priced, but truly flavorful and unique. The Georgian soft drinks were aggressively sweet for me, but come in interesting flavors, like tarragon. The Khatschapuri Adscharuli and Khinkali are my go-tos. I highly recommend this place!

The food was good as expected, we went for khinkali. The ambience is excellent, we immediately felt at home and the service was extremely nice and courteous. It's nice that we were able to eat the Georgian delicacies here. 🤠

Super delicious food, friendly service and nice atmosphere. The vegetarian selection is great. There is also a good selection of meat dishes. Tasted like Tbilisi :-)

To be honest I was very disappointed. I ordered 4 khinkali (which is so expensive for me who came from Georgia(10€ for 4 khinkali)) and waited 40 minutes, when they arrived 1 of them was empty inside and other one was with cheese(meanwhile I ordered all with meat). So I thought okay let me eat something else, so I took lobio. Probably they were warming it in the microwave because one side of the pot was hot(30%) and another was super cold(70%), so when you mix it, it’s cold. After that I started having problems with my stomach. At the end I had to wait for another 30 minutes for khinkali but I had no time so I left without waiting. Overall, I was disappointed with the food and service. P.S. recently I received an email from Google team saying that the owner reported my review stating that I’ve never visited the restaurant and all my words are lie. But it’s not a problem because I have all the proofs. Good luck! Answer to your reply: 1.Do I need to show you my Georgian passport and place of my birth? Which I can. 2.After waiting 30-40 for a 4 khinkali I’m AT LEAST expecting to see them on my table, and not the empty khinkali without any filling.
