GOSCH an der Markthalle in Hannover

The food is always delicious. It's just a shame they don't offer a summer salad like other restaurants. The price/performance ratio is okay. Some of the service staff could be a bit friendlier. It's not the customer's fault that they get yelled at because there are no glasses for certain drinks.

The sole was fresh and tasty. The shrimp and fish soup were also fresh, but unfortunately super salty. My friend liked Egg Benedict. Nice quiet corner. The staff was friendly.

The fish rolls are totally loveless: not a single lettuce leaf, not even a bit of onion, just a dry baked roll and the fish - and then €7 for that. Pretty outrageous.

A small baked roll with three small pieces of eel WITHOUT anything (not even a decorative lettuce leaf) for €7 is simply a disgrace. You are much better served in the neighboring market hall. The name Gosch apparently justifies rip-offs.

The decor fits very well, the food fish and chips was very tasty, the wine was at the right temperature, the service was friendly. The ambience in star less because it was very loud.

Always great to be in the market hall. The Gosch company is totally overrated. Quality of the food at maximum snack level of the lower class.

Some time ago I was in the Gosch Sylt restaurant at the market hall in Hanover. Gosch, of course, mainly serves fish. I ate herring fillets with potato salad. The food was really tasty. I drank an orange juice with the meal. When I'm back in the market hall in Hanover, I'll go back to Gosch afterwards, the restaurant is outside the market hall.

Food is overpriced, the taste is mid, hard to sit anywhere, terrible service, people mainly come to drink beer.

Best Fish in Town! Pure North Sea feeling! I recommend Gosch for food, snacks, and wine! Order food at the counter and pick it up there. The restaurant is large and clean!

Today we were instructed at the front of the drinks counter... mind you, where there is no drinks dispenser... but at the front, that we are not allowed to put our paid drinks there. When we asked why... because it didn't make sense, the service worker Marko answered us (or with c) that it didn't have to make sense and he wasn't discussing it. Standing at the counter where you don't hinder anyone... and not even being allowed to put your glasses there is completely nonsensical. Especially after we changed places, it wasn't a problem for our “successors”.

Unfortunately I ate the worst fried fish ever today! For so much money! We're actually regular customers, but I've never experienced anything like today there. I can only hope they take this concoction off the menu again!

Less stormy than on Sylt, selection, quality and service but equally good as usual. For years I have always maneuvered well and safely through the delicious fishing grounds and have not been disappointed. A culinary lighthouse you can rely on...

Quality is good, you can get it elsewhere. The price is okay but somewhere else (Pharo) it was just an appetizer. Picking up food and drinks is like in the Asian restaurants in the train station.

One star for the super nice staff, one star for the cozy atmosphere. The food is nothing special and completely overpriced. Yes, it's delicious, but the prices are outrageous. 26€ see photo!!! Question: how do you justify this? I'm happy to pay a lot, but only if it's justified. A piece of salmon and a few potatoes for €26 is bottom drawer. We will definitely avoid Gosch in the future.

I visit gosch Hannover very often and am always very satisfied. Loose and uncomplicated. That's why I celebrated my birthday there with 16 people on Saturday lunchtime! SANDRA reserved a great table for us and there were wristbands for my guests so that everyone could easily help themselves to the drinks and food counters. Thank you very much, it was a great birthday, despite the football broadcast and demonstrations in the city center. 😎😎

Dish of the day: potato beetroot puree with a very manageable portion of fried salmon: EUR 26.50, plus a small bottle of water: EUR 4. Just for two people: 61 EUR, in a Gosch-style snack bar atmosphere with self-service, along with pushy “clean-up staff”. Not a pleasure, but a mistake and an annoyance. Unfortunately, our frequent visits to Gosch over the years are now a thing of the past.

The food is amazing and the customer service is next level with a fun and relaxing atmosphere, would highly recommend.

Super tasty and friendly staff!

Yesterday I was at Gosch's in Hanover at the market hall at lunchtime. Shortly before 12 p.m. there was still little going on. As always, I ate a normal portion of Thai noodles. Delicious as always. It tastes almost as good as on Sylt ;) I deducted one star because over 20 euros is quite an announcement.

Great menu, many dishes are only available in Hanover at Gosch. Nice service and it was well heated too...thank you 😀

As always, we ate Thai noodles at Gosch. Unfortunately, the noodles were too soft and watery and the shrimp weren't completely cooked through. There is definitely room for improvement. Not comparable to Sylt.

A visit to Gosch is always good. The Thai noodles are a hit and very tasty 😋. Add a delicious Pinot Grigio and the visit is perfect. We'll be back 😀

We like to go here regularly. We personally like it and are very satisfied with the food. For us one of the best Gosch branches. The staff at the counter are always in a good mood and the service clears up promptly. We prefer to eat the grilled shrimp, they are always great and to the point. Then of course Thai noodles. Without them it doesn't work! But we have also tried fried fish, salmon bowl or captain's dinner and were not disappointed. For us the price performance and of course the ambience are right.

It was more like a coincidence. Drank Aperol Spritz and ate grilled shrimp. It was delicious and the service was super friendly. Good recommendation for drinking in the afternoon…

We wanted to have a delicious lunch on a Friday. The restaurant was busy and we were warned when ordering that it could take a quarter of an hour. We waited longer than 3/4 hour. Guests who arrived later had their food much earlier. When we asked, we were put off. The pike perch is on the grill. Zander doesn't take long! Complaint management was poor to insufficient. Even when asked, there was no compensation for the extremely long waiting time. Awkward! Apparently Gosch in Hanover doesn't work. In Bansin it always works, even when it's busy 😊

We feel very comfortable in Gosch and are always happy to be so close to the 'mee(h)r' in Hanover. Excellent, fresh cuisine and always catering to customers' special requests, all with the impressive warmth of all employees - simply PERFECT! We are always happy to be your guests. Keep it up!

We had reserved a table for 8 people by phone 2 weeks ago, unfortunately they didn't know anything about our reservation on site. Luckily we got there early so we still got a table, otherwise it would have been a failure! Food was good as always, portions could be a bit bigger! Waiting time for the food was completely ok.

Drinks were OK. Ordering at the counter for the food could be friendlier. The food took an extremely long time to prepare. Around 40 minutes. Would be justified by high utilization. The room was only half occupied at this point. We weren't the only ones who asked when the food would come. Unfortunately, GOSCH Hannover has developed in the wrong direction. The odor development in the toilets is borderline. The staff who clear the tables is positive

Not even worth a star. We had been queuing there for 30 minutes and the bouncer (short and bald) didn't let us in. Then there were two women who pushed their way forward and were then let in. Even though there was already a 5 meter snake.

I really enjoy going out to eat here, either for a fried fish with fried potatoes at lunchtime or the delicious prawns with cocktail sauce as a small snack beforehand, or a fried fish roll or salmon roll on hand for a stroll into the city. But you can also eat very well here in the evening or spend a few nice hours at events like “Afterwork”. The staff is always friendly and accommodating and the food is prepared quickly. All areas are in good and clean condition. The staff's work clothes are always clean, which always shows that hygiene is also taken into account here. As far as I could tell when I visited, the toilets were always clean, so there's nothing to complain about here either. In my opinion, a clear recommendation, regardless of whether it's a roll on hand, a meal on site, a party in the evening or a relaxed morning pint on the weekend.

The Markthalle is a group of restaurants, stores, butchers, cheese and lunch meat and backeries, great service places to sit and eat indoors and outside. Great place to visit and right across from the old city hall.Alsobeothin walking distance of the Maschsee which is fun to walk around or take a boat ride.

Food quality is good, fish sandwiches are also a lot better than the fish fast food competitor. However, the prices are steep, which means that the price/performance ratio can be rated as poor. Especially since you have to order your food and drinks at the counter and pick them up given the prices. Some of the staff don't seem to be really trained either. Over the drinks I was asked what I was looking for/if I needed help. When I asked for a light beer, I got a pilsner. The beer prices at 6/L are totally exaggerated. the same applies to wines and spirits. If the market hall is open, I would always prefer the locations there to Gosch.

The food is fantastic and so is the ambience of the restaurant! It's nice to stay and eat here. The selection of fish is good and the drinks menu is also decent. Prices are of course due to the fish, but as already mentioned, the quality is excellent.

Cadre en terrasse couverte tout à fait agréable. Semble être un « place to show off » en soirée le week end où des groupes de quarantenaires et plus se montrent et s’amusent. Nous avons essayé les crevettes sautées. Cela est léger, goûteux , mais la sauce cocktail accompagnant l’ensemble gâche le produit. Je ne peux pas me prononcer pour le reste du menu. À noter de soirées « disco-80s-90s » organisées en été très fun

I had fries for dinner, so I can't say much about the dishes (it's actually a fish restaurant), but the fried potatoes were delicious and tasty. The ambience is pleasant, somehow homely combined with modern. The reason why I'm writing this review is the service: 5 stars (despite self-service)! All the employees, whether behind the food counter, at the drinks counter or a waiter who happened to come in, were very friendly, helpful and courteous. I immediately felt like a welcome guest in a hotel on the North Sea island :D

I bought a herring roll to take away at the service counter today. I didn't see any bread roll display, but we know that GOSCH has a very good reputation and that I get quality here. So I was VERY surprised when I opened my bag!!?! Inside I found a small dry roll with a herring and two onion rings... Neither a lettuce leaf nor a cucumber or tomato wedge. Not to mention a little remoularde. No wonder the bun tasted dry... This is not quality!! I would have liked to have paid a euro more and eaten a REAL herring roll, which is something to look forward to!! That was very disappointing and I don't need that again!! SORRY, but are you no longer a customer today if you just want to eat a fish sandwich? One star for the friendly service. Vera Donner

If I want to eat fish, I like to go to Gosh at the market hall. Of course, the staff is always under enormous pressure, but you can do it. Something like that has to earn respect. But I'm very happy with everything. Whether food, drinks or ambience. You really can't go wrong with the Gosh.

A nice place for a bite to eat if you are near the Markthalle in Hanover. The food and optics are typical for Gosch, with a wide range of fish and seafood options. The seating is modern and doesn't lend itself to long relaxed visits, but it's fine for lunch. The service is friendly and efficient but had the standard Gosch system of having to order food and drinks separately, so if it's busy you have to queue twice. There is no table service. The fish was good - both well-prepared and well-presented, and the price was totally ok for the quality. Well worth a visit!

Ordered herring rolls, matjes ok, but rolls sticky. Quality has gotten worse over time, but prices have steadily increased. We're eating herring rolls somewhere else now. Gosch will be able to get over it…….

Hello, here are the worst matjes rolls I have ever ordered. Factory rolls without everything for an inflated price. never again

The four of us sat down at a free table and got drinks and food. Suddenly a waiter puts a reservation card on the table, comes after 10 minutes and tells us to clear the table. But the store was full, so where to go? So I told him it doesn't work that way. After another 5 minutes he came back and asked us again. By chance the next table became free and we moved. Something like that doesn't work at all, that's why I give it zero stars. The waiter (or his boss) would have at least given a round on the house, but even that was too much for them. Just grinned stupidly! Ergo: Next time go somewhere else, the afterwork party can also be held in other stores! By the way: hefty prices for both food and drinks. The Gosch on Sylt is significantly cheaper (and more customer-friendly)

Gosch in Hanover seems to be very IN. You have to get your own food and drinks, the price is completely exorbitant, but everyone runs there. The fried fish actually seems to be run-of-the-mill frozen goods ........... Boom boom continuous sound. We still had a good evening because we were in great company. If you're looking for a quaint fish restaurant, you should go somewhere else

We had salmon strands with beans and fish and chips. Both super tasty! I also think the faucet in the men's toilet that dries your hands is cool.

As always, the fish is great, the atmosphere is friendly and the preparation time is short. People like to eat sea here.
