The Markthalle is a group of restaurants, stores, butchers, cheese and lunch meat and backeries, great service places to sit and eat indoors and outside. Great place to visit and right across from the old city hall.Alsobeothin walking distance of the Maschsee which is fun to walk around or take a boat ride.

Nice restaurant, unfortunately self-service, prices are relatively high for the portions. You get significantly more for the same price in other fish restaurants. Taste wise it was good

Food quality is good, fish sandwiches are also a lot better than the fish fast food competitor. However, the prices are steep, which means that the price/performance ratio can be rated as poor. Especially since you have to order your food and drinks at the counter and pick them up given the prices. Some of the staff don't seem to be really trained either. Over the drinks I was asked what I was looking for/if I needed help. When I asked for a light beer, I got a pilsner. The beer prices at 6/L are totally exaggerated. the same applies to wines and spirits. If the market hall is open, I would always prefer the locations there to Gosch.

Terrible overpriced place with halfway good food. The place was designed quite nicely.

The food is fantastic and so is the ambience of the restaurant! It's nice to stay and eat here. The selection of fish is good and the drinks menu is also decent. Prices are of course due to the fish, but as already mentioned, the quality is excellent.

Cadre en terrasse couverte tout à fait agréable. Semble être un « place to show off » en soirée le week end où des groupes de quarantenaires et plus se montrent et s’amusent. Nous avons essayé les crevettes sautées. Cela est léger, goûteux , mais la sauce cocktail accompagnant l’ensemble gâche le produit. Je ne peux pas me prononcer pour le reste du menu. À noter de soirées « disco-80s-90s » organisées en été très fun

I had fries for dinner, so I can't say much about the dishes (it's actually a fish restaurant), but the fried potatoes were delicious and tasty. The ambience is pleasant, somehow homely combined with modern. The reason why I'm writing this review is the service: 5 stars (despite self-service)! All the employees, whether behind the food counter, at the drinks counter or a waiter who happened to come in, were very friendly, helpful and courteous. I immediately felt like a welcome guest in a hotel on the North Sea island :D

I bought a herring roll to take away at the service counter today. I didn't see any bread roll display, but we know that GOSCH has a very good reputation and that I get quality here. So I was VERY surprised when I opened my bag!!?! Inside I found a small dry roll with a herring and two onion rings... Neither a lettuce leaf nor a cucumber or tomato wedge. Not to mention a little remoularde. No wonder the bun tasted dry... This is not quality!! I would have liked to have paid a euro more and eaten a REAL herring roll, which is something to look forward to!! That was very disappointing and I don't need that again!! SORRY, but are you no longer a customer today if you just want to eat a fish sandwich? One star for the friendly service. Vera Donner

Cozy atmosphere, service quality very good, very friendly staff. My complicated allergy was taken into account and my own meal was put together. The staff took a lot of time for this. This is not a given!! Thank you again for this!

If I want to eat fish, I like to go to Gosh at the market hall. Of course, the staff is always under enormous pressure, but you can do it. Something like that has to earn respect. But I'm very happy with everything. Whether food, drinks or ambience. You really can't go wrong with the Gosh.

A nice place for a bite to eat if you are near the Markthalle in Hanover. The food and optics are typical for Gosch, with a wide range of fish and seafood options. The seating is modern and doesn't lend itself to long relaxed visits, but it's fine for lunch. The service is friendly and efficient but had the standard Gosch system of having to order food and drinks separately, so if it's busy you have to queue twice. There is no table service. The fish was good - both well-prepared and well-presented, and the price was totally ok for the quality. Well worth a visit!

Ordered herring rolls, matjes ok, but rolls sticky. Quality has gotten worse over time, but prices have steadily increased. We're eating herring rolls somewhere else now. Gosch will be able to get over it…….

Hello, here are the worst matjes rolls I have ever ordered. Factory rolls without everything for an inflated price. never again

The four of us sat down at a free table and got drinks and food. Suddenly a waiter puts a reservation card on the table, comes after 10 minutes and tells us to clear the table. But the store was full, so where to go? So I told him it doesn't work that way. After another 5 minutes he came back and asked us again. By chance the next table became free and we moved. Something like that doesn't work at all, that's why I give it zero stars. The waiter (or his boss) would have at least given a round on the house, but even that was too much for them. Just grinned stupidly! Ergo: Next time go somewhere else, the afterwork party can also be held in other stores! By the way: hefty prices for both food and drinks. The Gosch on Sylt is significantly cheaper (and more customer-friendly)

Gosch in Hanover seems to be very IN. You have to get your own food and drinks, the price is completely exorbitant, but everyone runs there. The fried fish actually seems to be run-of-the-mill frozen goods ........... Boom boom continuous sound. We still had a good evening because we were in great company. If you're looking for a quaint fish restaurant, you should go somewhere else

We had salmon strands with beans and fish and chips. Both super tasty! I also think the faucet in the men's toilet that dries your hands is cool.

As always, the fish is great, the atmosphere is friendly and the preparation time is short. People like to eat sea here.

Rustic beach feeling in the middle of Hanover. This is Gosch as you know it from the coast. With delicious fish and crabs. Ideal for sitting outside, even if the trucks to deliver to the market hall thunder past from time to time and the price level is already sporty due to inflation

We had fried herring fillets with fried potatoes (catch of the day) and fried fish with remoulade and mayo potato salad. As always at Gosch, the fried herring and fried potatoes were delicious and the fried fish even tasted much better than in Westerland. Only the potato salad had a somewhat neutral taste. Next time we'll just use a different side dish.

Had fried fish with fried potatoes and a small portion of crayfish with a side salad. Both taste great! Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm. Very friendly and fast service, quiet atmosphere, delicious coffee :-)

Already hefty prices for average quality

The white wine for almost €30 a bottle is quite cheeky in my opinion. If it had been a really good white wine...we didn't like it at all. Besides that, the whole place smells like smoke.

By far the worst Gosch I've ever been to. This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. Lots of bread to absorb the cream, very little fish (crab meat) and little taste. Not recommended. Other branches do this much better.

Ich war heute mit meiner Freundin mittags bei Gosch, weil ihre Eltern mal die Markthallen Gaststätte betrieben haben. In der Markthalle selbst war es sehr voll an den Ständen, bei Gosch nur mässig besetzt. Meine Freundin hatte eine Garnelenpfanne, die meisten Garnelen waren sagen wir mal grenzwertig braun, meine Lachsbowl bestand aus kalten lachswürstchen, einem ungewürzten Lachstartar, Räucherlachs der geschmacklosen Art, Salat ohne Dressing und trockenem Baguette. Mir war den Rest des Tages schlecht. Die Preise sind ebenfalls bemerkenswert: ein einfacher Pinot im Selfservice 8.50 Euro, das ist bei der Qualität sportlich. Es war definitv das letzte mal, dass ich einen Laden von Gosch betreten habe, auf Sylt gehen wir schon lange nicht mehr hin. Ich denke man nennt das Nepp! Der Name von Jünne ist jedenfalls nichts mehr wert. Schade!

I was still hungry after a long visit to the sick on Sunday evening and drove to Gosch. Opening hours on the door: Sundays until 9 p.m. Entered the restaurant at 8:20 p.m. I was dealt with robustly by the service person at the counter: the kitchen was already closed. I was referred to fish sandwiches. Decided on salmon: €6. Bread sticky. Salmon ok. Didn't feel welcome or valued as a guest. Should have gone to a gas station. I know that Gosch can actually do it better! Disappointing service in Hanover!

Friday after-work party from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m....cool idea and very well received. Table reservation recommended. You should know that a large area is a smoking zone and that is often used. Feels like 90% smokers, but the smoke comes off very well. Music is mixed and there is something for everyone. It ends at 11 p.m....self-service, very generous mixes. All in all, cool concept!

The food is great, but the service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life. The level of disrespect and aggressiveness cannot be surpassed. Even McDonald's does a much better job when it comes to selecting the forces. -10 stars

Music very good on Thursdays with the Shadow Light Duo. When you come back to the place, the glasses are half full and have been cleared away, even though the jackets are hanging on the place. Happened twice.

I ate the squid rings. They were pretty good. There was also tartar sauce and some baguette. Overall it was far too little, even if I take the price into account.

As always it was very tasty. However, I would particularly like to mention the beach video on a continuous loop in the smoking area, which really expanded our experience. Every few minutes you can see "popping" beach flies on the left side of the picture... mega

For me, Gosch belongs in the Hanover market hall like salt in the sea. A great meeting point in the middle of Hanover's “Gastro Mile” with various fish dishes of all kinds and a great selection of cold drinks. You also have the option of sitting inside in a pleasant atmosphere or on the large terrace, which is partially covered. Always happy again 🍻 🐟🦞

Of course it's always well attended, so it's very loud. Cola 0.2l for €4, just an example. The store is totally overpriced. But the name just attracts people.

I know Gosch from the Baltic and North Seas. I always really liked it there. I was very disappointed by what was on offer in Hanover. There is no salad with the (not very warm) prawns, there are only expensive wines (in Cuxhaven last week I had a Gosch white wine for €4.20), the service in Hanover was unfriendly and the music in the restaurant was very loud disturbing.

Always recommended, except the fried fish is not recommended for the price, disappointing.

It is a cozy, brightly designed restaurant, very friendly, helpful, the food was great. The captain's dinner for 2 people was great. Price good too. So if you want to treat yourself to something really tasty out of the ordinary, that's absolutely great.

Zu sechst verbrachten wir einen munteren Abend im Wintergarten. Die Reservierung hat prima geklappt, Lage prima. Allein das Rauchen dort hat uns nicht gefallen. OK, die Preise für die Getränke (in Selbstbedienung...) sind nicht günstig, doch der Rose Prosecco war super. Die Eggs Benedict mit Räucherlachs waren ein Traum! Schöne andere Variante, nehme ich gern wieder mal.

Very clean inside - although it doesn't look inviting from the outside. As usual with Gosch - there is no service. You order at the counter and pick up the food at the counter. The food itself is - as always - good. There is a wide selection of food and drinks. In terms of price, it's reasonable. I recommend it.

Unfortunately more than disappointing. We had dinner at Gosch with work colleagues. "Fine fish and celebrate festivals!" That's a saying that fits GOSCH perfectly" - this is used to advertise, the reality is different. A fried fish with fried potatoes was ordered, priced at around €15 plus a small spritzer for around €4~5. The fried fish was definitely a frozen product, which was more like a tough briquette - the tartar sauce was unfortunately only a teaspoon full and the lemon slice was poor. Unfortunately, fried potatoes were also below average The colleagues had a cous-cous salmon bowl for 25 euros, which was probably “okay”. However, the price is also totally outrageous and overpriced. Conclusion If you are willing to pay 20-35 euros per person for canteen food, this is the right place for you. I only give it 2 stars with good-will because of the location and ambience. The prices are for Vapiano Style self-service and a disgrace in the context of the quality of the food. I like to spend a lot on food, but not on anything like this. I have no idea how the store got a rating of 4.2. comes.

The prices here are reasonable and not comparable to the prices on Sylt. Of course you can also order high-quality fish dishes here, plus a dessert and a glass of champagne, then of course it will be significantly more expensive.
