I have been a regular guest and passionate pub-goer for years and haven't been able to make it to the Görreshof for a few months for personal reasons. I have also always warmly recommended everyone I know to come to the Görreshof. That will change, and at least I won't be coming to eat anymore. The price of the Munich schnitzel has increased significantly (understandable and acceptable), but in terms of grams it has been halved (see photo) and the salad has also been omitted. Paying €20 for not 100g of meat and going home hungry is simply ripping off the customer and cannot be justified in any way. We are talking here about a de facto 100% price increase, which is disproportionate to inflation etc. stands. Just extremely unfortunate. PS: I think this is my FIRST written review on Google. That means something...

The restaurant has a nice little beer garden, the service is very friendly, the beer is good. The food disappointed us. The pretzel felt like it was three days old and upon request there wasn't anything fresher available. Schnitzel portions are plentiful, but nothing special, cheese spaetzle is rather sticky.

The food here is top notch! If you’re looking for authentic and flavorful German food, look no place else! I was so happy with the food here, I returned within two days so I could sample the rest of the menu with some of my favourite childhood dishes. The best German food, beautiful interior, decent size outdoor garden. I will be back next time I’m in munich!

Quaint Munich restaurant. It's nice that something like this still exists. Playing cards at the regulars' table and real Bavarian specialties for dinner. Great friendly staff and prices are okay too!

Six of us went to this restaurant for lunch. The Wiener Schnitzel with fried potatoes is really recommended. Kaiserschmarn for dessert - nothing more is possible. That was really really tasty. The atmosphere is older, but still really cozy. We'll be back!

Arrived at 8 p.m., with a disappointing welcome, a very unfriendly server 😠😠😠😠, kitchen served normally until 9:30 p.m., we eat the dishes and at 9:10 p.m. we ask for desserts and the badger waiter tells us that the kitchen is finished 🤬 🤬🤬🤬😤😤😤😤, the same waiter tells us that he no longer has a bottle of still water 🤬🤬😠😠, really disappointed and we really don't recommend this establishment 👎👎👎👎😠😤😤🤬🤬 😠😠😤😤😤

Nice old Bavarian restaurant with good food. Beer garden next to/behind the house. Centrally located in an interesting district. Friendly and professional service. Update April 2024: still rustic and beautiful, but also more expensive. Still worth a visit. Update August: with a full house (outside and inside), there is a noticeable shortage of staff and longer waiting times for service. But it's understandable. The food was very good this time, so it was upgraded

Unfortunately disappointing. (More like 2.5 than 3 stars) Have been to the Görreshof before and have always been very satisfied. Only not this time... The service left a lot to be desired, one or two seemed a bit overwhelmed. Especially since some of the service staff seemed rather indifferent and almost “lame”, the other part was under immense stress. Enjoy your job? None. After waiting for over an hour, we asked for our food... strangely enough, it was almost rushed. The mountain schnitzel - unfortunately not good (probably forgot the cheese for the breading in the hurry) was slightly oniony and burnt, and the fried potatoes were glassy. The bread was forgotten during the stew... In addition, the portions were rather modest. I can answer no as to whether the service staff showed interest the entire time (drinks empty, well-being questioned). It's a shame...we definitely won't be coming back any time soon.

Very nice place, the staff was so nice and friendly. The food was great. The typical German desert like a ripped pancake was wonderful.

There is no manners and respect from the waiter! He chased his new colleague who had just taken the order away from the table and exposed her in front of us as guests..."it's new, it just makes mistakes, catastrophe" That's not appropriate and gives a deep insight into the collegial interaction with each other in the shop. I hope the female waiter quickly finds something else or even better. The owner throws the guy out straight away. Food was ok, nice beer garden.

We were completely impressed by this authentic restaurant. The schnitzels were extremely tasty and the service was friendly and attentive, which made our stay particularly pleasant. The harmonious atmosphere contributed significantly to making us feel very comfortable. It was the perfect place to end the evening in a cozy atmosphere. Overall, a successful visit that we will certainly have fond memories of. A place I recommend without hesitation.

We only came to try the typical Munich dessert and it is spectacular. As the menu indicates, it takes a while for them to bring you dessert but it is totally worth it. Of course, be prepared for a hearty dish.

We visited on Friday for dinner around 7:30pm. We could get the menu and order 1 hour later. We ordered the food at the same time as the next table, but we still didn’t get ours even after our next table got their food. It’s busy time but no one considered our table and order. 여ㄱㅣ 오지 ㅁㅏㅅㅔㅇㅛ.

A few days ago I had dinner here with friends I was visiting in Munich. We chose the Görreshof because there are also some vegan dishes on the menu. That made me very happy, as I often can't find anything to eat in pubs. The drinks and food came quickly and were very tasty. We sat comfortably in a shady spot in the beer garden.

I loved it, typical place, comfortable and food 10/10.

We went on a Tuesday night at 8pm. It takes a long time to order, to be served the meal, and to pay the bill. The quantity of food is small. The Kaiserschmeilen was too sweet to eat all of it.

Used to be really good. This time the service was slow, the food order didn't end up in the kitchen at first. What we ended up with was a Munich schnitzel that was prepared too hastily: pale, not well baked, not pounded thin enough, sometimes almost two centimeters thick. It was bland, surprisingly dry and al dente. The fried potatoes were also pale. The side salad, which used to be standard, was omitted. That was my last time here.

Food was very good. Prices for food and drinks very good for the quality. Staff very friendly and accommodating. It's very worth going here

Very nice service, cozy atmosphere. The quality and portion of the food has decreased a lot and the prices have gone up a lot. The bread (1 slice) comes with the 17.90€ salad and was charged 4 euros extra. Very underground and not recommended!

Overall, the inn is a very nice and rustic Bavarian place where you can eat and drink well. Deductions because the roast pork we ordered was a bit flaxy and the potato dumplings weren't quite cooked through. The service was also rather slow. Maybe that was also due to the few waitresses that day. Otherwise, the service is nice and friendly and you can enjoy a relaxed evening.

Came here for lunch with a group of 20 college students. Reserving was easy. Food was absolutely great, from traditional Bavarian yogurt great vegan entree. Really friendly service, wonderful outdoor seating. Danke schön!

The alcohol-free beer and the random dishes I ordered were both excellent. The gentleman who served me was very polite. This place is also suitable for guests dining alone.

Unfortunately the price/performance is no longer right. Baked chicken salad €17.90 and a mountain schnitzel for €19.90 and both really a manageable portion. I used to enjoy going there to eat, but now there isn't enough for the money.

The food was nice. The atmosphere is also traditional. The price is normal. Service standard to indifferent. They don't know or they don't want to speak English, I still don't understand... Hahahaha...

Very impolite Wanted to reserve a table for a birthday. Rude young lady just told me that we should just come over and see if we could get a table. We were also brushed off with the argument that it was a birthday and we would therefore like to know whether we would get a table. Well, not then. Customer friendliness and service are different.

We went to this place thanks to a co-worker that recommended the place and we really enjoyed it. The food was great, the service too. Just make sure to order the dessert since the beginning because it took really really long to get ours.

The breaded schnitzel is more gray than golden yellow, the pork knuckle has already been warmed up several times because it is dry. The service was extremely friendly.

Worst Kaiserschmarn we've ever had. In the obatzda the onions were old, as was the lettuce leaf and half the pickled cucumber had a really strange old taste. I also had a super dry little pretzel and a few slices of bread which really went well with it. Unfortunately too expensive for that.

Had the pork knuckle. Pork was dry in areas and the sauce was pretty salty. Bread dumpling was good. Worst was when paying by card, waiter had to mention that tip wasn't included. In all the 2 weeks of travel, he was the only one to mention anything about a tip. I thought that was pretty rude to even think he was getting anything. I was going to tip by cash anyway but thought it was worth mentioning.

Eating has been declining lately. Augustiner from a wooden barrel. (Tuesday and Thursday from 6.30 p.m.) friendly service!!!!!!!!

Very good Bavarian restaurant. Went there and ate classic roast pork and mountain schnitzel. Both were very good, the mountain schnitzel was even exceptionally good, absolutely recommended!!

We came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't too full. We got a spot right away. We ordered the Munich schnitzel, the pork knuckle with potato dumpling and for dessert the kaiserschmarrn. The schnitzel was the best thing we had. It was crispy on the outside and went well with the potatoes. The pork knuckle was dry at some parts and moist at others. The crispy outside was too crunchy for me. For me personally I didn't enjoy the potato dumplings. But the portion are very generous. The dessert was a bit on the sweeter side. You can get it with raisins or without. We got it with as its traditionally served with. It adds that extra chew. It goes well with the apple sauce and the rhubarb sauce. Service was really nice. They checked up on us a few times. They spoke perfect English. Food came out fast. The bathroom was also really clean and had all the feminine hygiene products you would need. There's also magazine available in there. Overall food is not bad but not great either. Atmosphere is great and service is good.

When we were there in the evening during the week, the inn was very busy. We didn't reserve a table beforehand, but were assigned a table after about 20-30 minutes of waiting at the bar. I would recommend everyone to reserve a table there in advance. We didn't have any time pressure or anything like that. We each got a small one. Schnitzel, small Ordered roast pork and an onion roast. All main courses were good, but not outstanding. But we really liked the Kaiserschmarren! The portion was very large. I think 4 people can easily share the portion. The Kaiserschmarren smelled very good. Nice and fluffy on the inside, slightly crispy and caramelized on the outside. The atmosphere was lively and relaxed. Despite the high volume of customers, the service was very friendly and attentive.

In memory of a really great inn with hearty, good food, I was there again at the beginning of 2024 after a long break - and totally disappointed. Just visited again (April 2024) in the hope of an exception: unfortunately again poor cuisine: beer tastes stale (almost non-carbonated), the fried potatoes are soft again and lukewarm and taste sweet (no trace of "resch"), the mountain farmer's schnitzel without a typical taste, but also with an unpleasantly sweet aftertaste. The side salad was okay in terms of taste, but for over 5 euros it wasn't cheap for the small mixture of leaves and 2 slices of cucumber... It's a shame, but I won't be coming back given the poor quality.

Highly recommend this historic location for excellent Bavarian cuisine. This is clearly a place frequented by locals, and it's been around for over 120 years and counting. Our server was charming (and spoke English!), not to mention he brought us a nice pear-based digestif (tasted like grappa) on the house. The best Bavarian cuisine I had on my trip to Munich.

Friendly, festive, classic, inviting, delicious! Our family was greeted by staff as soon as we walked through the door. The bartender made eye contact with me and asked me if I was (my name) and referenced my daughter’s peanut allergy which I inquired about when I made our reservation. He promptly had us seated and the exceptional experience began. Food was outstanding. The pork was juicy and gravy was savory. Beer was cold and glasses were always full. Staff was absolutely super. And again about the peanut allergy - the staff constantly checked on my daughter to make sure that she felt safe and comfortable throughout. Above and beyond in every way. Our favorite dining experience of our 8-day long Germany trip. And we went to a lot of restaurants! Thank you!

As a starter we had a white sausage - which is one of the few places in Munich that is still available after 12 o'clock - which was really very good, but at over 5 EUR for two sausages it wasn't exactly cheap either. The main courses didn't really impress us, the breading in the Munich Schnitzel didn't hold up and didn't taste like much, the mustard marinade was barely noticeable, the potatoes were greasy, the pub goulash was a bit spicier, but just not outstanding either. The shop seemed a bit worn, but the service was routine.

Went spontaneously to the beer garden. Small but idyllic place. Service was quick and very friendly. Food was good. Unfortunately the breading was larger than the schnitzel and had completely separated from each other. In terms of taste, it lacked a bit of kick but was still good

Typical and historic Bavarian cuisine place, off the tourist route, quite large inside and with a pleasant outdoor area where you can stop even just to drink a beer. Prices of the main meat dishes around 15-18 euros, correct portions even if not abundant, excellent kaiserschmarrn with raisins and plum compote (one portion is good for two). Efficient, attentive and very attentive service. Simple, characteristic, worth trying. When I returned after a few months, I confirmed what I had already written. I add the presence of menus in English and the waitresses' knowledge of the English language.

We traveled to Munich from Baden-Baden today and really wanted to have a typical Bavarian meal. We discovered this restaurant via Google and drove there without making a reservation. 1: We received a very friendly welcome and even though all the tables were occupied, a table was organized for us straight away 2: The service was very friendly, professional and courteous and responded to all of our special requests (change of side dishes, etc.) without arguing, as is the case in many other restaurants. 3:We were served quickly, we had our drinks straight away and the food less than 20 minutes later. Wow The lovely service girls listened to our every wish and we were really looked after As far as the food is concerned, we can only say a huge compliment to the kitchen, because we haven't eaten something as delicious as this in a long time. We ordered several warm dishes and salads and absolutely everything was terrific. Beautifully prepared, very tasty and cooked to perfection. We can only recommend this restaurant! I don't want to give bad reviews. I was there late in the evening during the week, around 9 p.m. It was packed and you didn't even have a chance of being seated anywhere on your own. A reservation is apparently absolutely necessary. The service seemed overwhelmed with the overview. Two gentlemen came in before me and hadn't made a reservation either. The three of us all then went somewhere else to eat. It's a shame, but it's also your own fault. But overall it seemed sociable and relaxed.

Delicious Bavarian inn! It was well filled and we still got a table after waiting 10 minutes! The food was very tasty! The portion sizes are more sufficient (roast pork is small in the photo). Unfortunately the roast pork came to the table lukewarm. The staff is very friendly, only paying took too long (waited about 20 minutes).

On the recommendation of a colleague, we visited the inn twice within a week. We really enjoyed it! The food is very tasty, decent portions that fill you up and the beer tastes good! The atmosphere is very cozy. This is not a typical tourist bar - you can also meet real Munich residents here. The service is perfect. In particular, the red-haired young waitress (03/22/2024) is extremely friendly and always had a smile on her lips - we have never been served so charmingly before. We'd love to come back!

The Wirtshaus Görreshof is the perfect place for authentic Bavarian cuisine. The food is great, the staff is extremely friendly and very accommodating. If you want to experience the real tavern atmosphere far away from the tourist hotspots, this is the place for you!

Typically Bavarian inn with a “griabian” atmosphere and home-style cooking. The service is prompt and the food is hearty and delicious. We recommend local classics such as roast pork, Wiener schnitzel, cream mushrooms, etc. and of course the delicious Augustiner beer on tap (on some days also from a wooden barrel).

The roast pork wasn't that great. The crust was missing.

World class Kaiserschmarrn! Spinach dumplings and vegan mushroom pasta were also delicious! The vegetarian/vegan selection could be more, but I think it's good that there are alternatives at all.

Only compliments for this delicious, cozy, clean and very friendly location! We'll be back :)
