Görreshof Wirtshaus in München

I entered wanting to try local Munich foods and asked the staff to recommend me with a dish they said was very delicious, but the real taste was disappointing. And, the bartender even sparked his mouth water onto my face - unapologetically because they got too busy😭and when I asked about vegetables, they seemed to got too panicked to understand what vegetable is…the restaurant was so disorganized that I wouldn’t visit again!!!

A typical Munich pub with beer on tap several days a week. Usually very crowded, so the service can be a bit slow and you might have to wait. Unfortunately, the food has recently declined in quality, especially the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle).

The food was absolutely fantastic, the service was super friendly, quick and attentive. The atmosphere was charming and rustic. I'd love to come back again.

The Görreshof is a traditional German inn in Schwabing. Food: They offer a wide selection of classic hot inn dishes such as schnitzel and roast meats, salads, and cold cuts. We had spinach dumplings and pasta with mushroom sauce; both were exceptionally delicious and plentiful. Service: Super fast and attentive service in Bavarian traditional dress. Atmosphere: Cozy, rustic, and authentic. The inn simply has charm.

We arrived at 8:45 p.m. for dinner. We finished the main course at 9:45 p.m. We ordered dessert and coffee, but they didn’t serve them, saying the kitchen had already closed because it was Monday. Regrettable. I don’t recommend it, despite the friendliness of one of the waiters.

Busy traditional restaurant, good food!

I really tried my best, but unfortunately, after several attempts, it was unsatisfactory. One time, the Kaiserschmarrn was inedible because it was hard and swimming in butter. The next time, 25 minutes after ordering, we were told they were out of food and should order something else. The following time, the server was so unfriendly that we felt guilty about ordering anything. And finally, we received a duck that had apparently been forgotten in the oven but was still being sold. It's a shame, because years ago it was consistently delicious.

Hey, this is a great place! The food is very good, not your usual roast pork, but really different and delicious. The Augustiner beer was especially refreshing today. Prices are very reasonable. And the service was super friendly, relaxed, and fast! Thank you so much!

The main courses were good, but the Kaiserschmarrn, which I was really looking forward to based on the description on the menu, was a huge disappointment. Some of it was undercooked. It lacked sugar, even though it was described as caramelized. And there was also no rum. Either the description on the menu or the recipe needs to be adjusted. In any case, the Kaiserschmarrn is not recommended. Otherwise, the service was attentive.

Although it was super full when we arrived, they quickly gave us a spot for 4 people and we just waited 5 minutes. Food was very good, good portions, and the service was very friendly.

An excellent evening at the inn. Very attentive service and excellent inn-style cuisine. The knuckle of pork was delicious, and the bread dumplings and bacon cabbage were very tasty as a side dish.

A truly authentic Bavarian inn in the heart of Munich. The interior is beautifully wood-paneled, creating a perfect atmosphere right away. As expected, they serve typical dishes—I had the schnitzel, which was highly recommended.

There's no fuss here; you're served a half pint of beer to start. A friendly, stammtisch (you're seated at the same table as other people) menu. All the waiters wear teacher uniforms, and the waitresses wear dirndls to add a touch of local flavor. The service is very fast despite the crowds. The typical dishes are generously served and very tasty. It's wise to make a reservation on weekends because the place gets crowded.

Prices are super fair for the quality and quantity offered! Definitely recommended.

We were at your place today for lunch and ordered the roast pork from the lunch menu. We explicitly pointed to the lunch menu. However, when we paid, we were charged for a "standard" roast pork, which we only noticed upon checking the price. We "complained," but the ladies simply said they were sorry—a disgrace. You lost four customers today. BTW, the roast pork didn't even taste good... Best, Jim

A typical Munich-style Augustiner restaurant with correspondingly high-quality food. The best Wiener Schnitzel in town, in my humble opinion. A very cozy beer garden and fast, attentive service. We're regulars, sometimes drinking, sometimes eating, usually both :)

Well, we're from the country. So, we're used to traditional inns. We never expected to find such a good inn right here in Munich. The food here is really good and the staff is very dedicated. A big thank you goes out to the male waitress who served us at lunch today (August 23, 2025). That's how you want to be served. With fun and enjoyment. Thanks also to the kitchen for the great food, and especially for the delicious Kaiserschmarn! We'd love to come back for a schnapps :) Thank you, and see you next time!

We'd been here two years ago, and this year we booked before leaving because we couldn't miss our only dinner in Munich! We had several dishes, all excellent, even the sausages for our son were delicious. Pictured are the dessert trios. The beer was very good, of course! The guy who served us was kind and friendly, we hope to return soon!

The atmosphere, both in the garden and inside, is very charming and authentic. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the setting, as it arrived lukewarm and tasted bland. Even more disappointing was the service. The waiter ignored us for ages, then acted as if we were inconveniencing him when he finally took our order. His tone remained rude throughout the entire evening. Overall, a pretty disappointing experience.

We sat in the beer garden and ordered three different dishes. All were delicious, but unfortunately, the side salad wasn't fresh. Furthermore, we couldn't order dessert at 9:10 p.m.

The food was good, and overall, it was really okay. However, the menus were dirty and worn, as they were made of cloth, and unhygienic. A minor quibble, but one that wasn't particularly pleasant and unfortunately remains memorable.

Food is great, the place as well, but i think we were unlucky with the service. A very annoying guy was in charge of our table, he was super grumpy, almost throwing things to the table, staring at my girlfriend without any reason, zero manners. Other than that, all good

We took a day trip to Munich today and chose this restaurant because we were so craving Kaiserschmarrn 😁 Even though the menu specifically stated that you'd have to expect to wait at least 20 minutes, they offered us a free drink because we had to wait so long, which was really sweet. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant; it was delicious and the service was super friendly ☺️

We went out to eat with a group of ten people. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing. I ordered a salad with goat cheese, my friend the goulash with dumplings. While everyone else had already finished eating and cleared their plates, I was still waiting for my salad. It wasn't served for 45 minutes – without any apology. The only explanation was that the salad had supposedly accidentally landed at the next table and would arrive "in 3 minutes" – but those 3 minutes turned into another 30. Enjoying the meal together was unfortunately impossible – I had to eat alone, even though it was just a simple salad. For 18 euros, the salad was also extremely disappointing: a small pile of lettuce leaves, some goat cheese, one (!) cherry tomato, and three slices of cucumber. No bread, no extras – absolutely not justified in terms of taste and price. By comparison, the goulash cost only 50 cents more. The situation when paying was particularly unpleasant: When I tried to pay without a tip (after this experience), the waiter asked me very rudely if "that's really all there is to it." A disappointing visit across the board – neither the service nor the value for money were up to scratch. We definitely won't be back.

Food sometimes arrived 10 minutes apart for a group of 10 people. No apologies, nothing! Goat cheese salad consists of 6 lettuce leaves, 2 slices of cucumber, a cocktail tomato, and cheese – and all for €19! 2 slices of bread should also be included for that high price. Vegetarian dishes here are a complete rip-off, considering that a goulash (including dumplings) costs just as much! For €19, I expect to be full.

Munich atmosphere, food is quite Munich-like. Unfortunately, I have to say that I wasn't particularly satisfied with my visit, as the Görreshof had planned with far too few staff on this rainy day. The waitress was clearly overwhelmed, and the Görreshof continued to fill up. As a result, the food/drinks/request to pay were forgotten. The food was okay, but in my opinion a bit underseasoned and a bit bland. Prices are good. Important: I don't blame the service—more the management, as two people were definitely not enough on this day.

The whole meal was really delicious, and the service was top-notch. Unfortunately, my knuckle of pork was very small, and the skin was soft rather than crispy. Nevertheless, we'd happily come back 👍

I heard it used to be better, but I have to say I was absolutely surprised by the food. The roast beef with onions was soft with butter, the gravy was rich, and the fried potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned. The Kaiserschmarrn and the schnitzel were also all very solid. The service was attentive and Bavarian-friendly 😉. I'll definitely be back!

For many years, I've enjoyed coming to the Görreshof whenever I'm in Munich. Everything here is just right.

The beer garden was nice and cozy, not overcrowded with tourists. The interior also had a typical pub feel. Friendly service. A good, solid restaurant. I was happy that they served beef ribs, since I don't eat pork.

A great Bavarian restaurant with waiters in lederhosen and all the classics on the menu. We were there for lunch, and they served the best Maultaschen (smothered with fried potatoes) I've ever had in Bavaria. Thumbs up and a big compliment. Lovely little garden.

I had roast beef with onions and spaetzle. Unfortunately, the meat was quite tough. The spaetzle were very bad. They were fried in a lot of fat after cooking and then probably kept warm in an oven. This made them very hard and dry, so they were inedible. I don't understand why the spaetzle aren't just served straight after cooking. My friends had schnitzel, which was delicious. The salad and dessert were also very tasty. The portions are very generous.

Dear "Görreshof Team", You're doing a fantastic job! My boyfriend and I came by for dinner last night, feeling quite hungry before our departure for the Black Forest. We were greeted warmly, served promptly, and felt welcome and appreciated at all times, as the service was truly attentive and courteous (but never intrusive), and they were also up for a little fun. The food was sensational and the best example of authentic Bavarian cuisine! 😋 We'd love to come back! Best wishes from Freiburg
