Gopalast Leipzig in Leipzig

Inexpensive and good quality. Food is enough, although many are probably afraid of the many people. Refills are quick and the service when clearing away is great. I always enjoy coming back to Leipzig from Chemnitz

We were there recently for the first time. We liked it very much. We'd love to come back.

Mass instead of class, dirt everywhere, dirty toilets, cold or lukewarm food, child 4 years old. Have to pay full price, children's area completely dirty and with broken toys. Once and never again :(

Abandoned, it's been a long time since I've been back, I used to love it, now I'll never go back! Almost all of the plates have chipped edges and some are dirty, the cups are all scratched on the inside, the food is only lukewarm, the brackets with the numbers are greasy, the toilets are filthy! If it looks like that then I don't want to see the kitchen!

That was our first and last visit, we reserved a table at 5:30 p.m. and weren't allowed in until 6:00 p.m. because of the traffic jam outside. According to the manager, we were only allowed until 7:30 p.m., so we reserved and paid for 2 hours but only stayed there for 1.5 hours!!! What unprofessional work and organization. Furthermore, the statement was: “I can only offer you this, do you take it or don’t you take it?”!!! Instead of reassuring the customer and offering another alternative, the manager actually didn't care :) Don't recommend it at all...

Highly recommended large selection of dishes such as sushi, grilled, fish including shark (very tasty), salad bar, desserts and cakes

Just really great food. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff is very friendly, the tables are constantly cleared, which is great for this price. I can't understand who has something to complain about here.

The food was wonderful. More than plentiful, of good quality and very tasty. The drink selection was also great. The time went by really quickly and we felt very comfortable. The shortage of skilled workers in the catering industry is only noticeable when it comes to staff. The employees tried very hard, but were very loud with the dishes, which was annoying.

As a native of Leipzig, I have been coming here for years. Always a culinary delight, the diversity of which is never compromised. From freshly prepared to warm and cold from the buffet, no one in LE and the surrounding area can hold a candle to the Gopalast. There is something for every diet and diet. Starters, cold and warm, warm dishes in all their details, up to and including live burnt crème brúlet chocolate fountains (white and brown) with fresh fruit purees and various cakes and ice cream. If you don't find what you're looking for here, it's your own fault ^^' BUT The price is slowly becoming a bit high as it approaches 30 euros... even if everything is included and much more... If you want to pamper yourself and don't want to think, come here, always delicious. But if you're looking for peace and quiet with colleagues and friends on a budget, you're a bit out of place here in the almost always noisy palace. (Hence 3 stars) It has happened twice now in various situations that friends were approached with unfriendly statements and supposedly completely logical things (buffet card in a collecting bowl at the end)

We didn't expect much for €19 per person (lunch buffet) and were still disappointed... very small buffet, food was only lukewarm and partly inedible. Also not a good selection and most of it is German food. There wasn't even a good selection of fruit for the chocolate fountain. Not recommended!

Delicious food, nice location for family celebrations, etc

Price-performance ratio is good, food is delicious and there is a very large selection of different food and drinks that are included in the price. The only thing I was missing was hot sauce, there was one, but it wasn't really spicy. What is negative is that the containers for leftover food at some stations were overfilled and were not emptied for a long time and that the toilets could have used a cleaning around 8 p.m. The staff had their hands full due to a full restaurant, but they would have to bring in additional staff to fix these things.

What you would expect from such a mass bar

Even though there are so many people, it's worth it. The seafood tasted best.

Very, very, very wonderful in all respects

Ich war nach längerer Zeit mal wieder zu Besuch im Gourmetpalast. Das Niveau hat zu früher stark nachgelassen. Dies betrifft sowohl die Sauberkeit als auch das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Die Bewerung aus dem Internet haben sich richtig erwiesen.

We've been to the Gopalast for a long time and were really disappointed. The selection at the buffet has noticeably decreased and the taste is no longer that great. It's a shame, it was actually always worth a visit.

I was almost a bit overwhelmed by the size and the number of visitors and the huge range of food on offer. We were greeted immediately and very friendly and taken to our reserved table. Everything except alcoholic drinks is all inclusive. What I like is that you have to pay extra for wasted food, i.e. uselessly full plates that are then returned untouched. It was a bit awkward with the alcoholic drinks. To do this, you always have to go to the checkout first, pay in advance and then the drink is served. There is ready-made food and you can have a large selection of fresh, raw meat, fish and vegetables prepared straight away. There is also a large selection of sushi 🍣. Of course there are also the great chocolate fountains, ice cream and many more sweet desserts. When the restaurant became a little emptier, it was more pleasant. All in all it was a great experience. At €35 per person, it's not exactly cheap, but it's worth it given this huge selection. I would recommend it at any time...

Mass processing, the background noise of a large canteen with lukewarm food.

Been there again for a long time and was very disappointed, the food was lukewarm and a lot of things didn't look appealing, the toilets were scary, the staff was playing on their cell phones or smoking outside the entrance, that's not possible, that was my last visit to this place.

The food is always delicious, there is a large selection for everyone... Only today we were there for the first time with our little son... the play area for the children was so dirty... that ruined the whole visit... real mess

The food was really good. This time the freshly grilled food tasted much better than usual, it was just grilled a little too long and therefore too dry. What we noticed very negatively this time was that the chocolate fountain and the ice cream chest were extremely dirty. In our opinion, these are two areas that need to be cleaned by employees much more often! And the toilets were also dirty: the sinks are old and rancid, with rust and greasy lime, the toilets are dirty, the trash cans are overflowing. This should urgently be renovated and cleaned regularly!!!!!

Good food, toilets could be cleaner, cell phone held under your nose saying it's 3 p.m., you could say 10 minutes beforehand that you should come to the end, but please say it in a more friendly way

The open buffet costs 33 euros per person and the drinks are also included. They have many options. There are pins on the table you take them with you and you pick whatever meat you want and they grill it for you. You pit the pin on the plate and after it’s cooked they bring it to the table. Dumplings are my favorite, they were really amazing. They have dessert too. I loved the cakes.

I went to the lunch buffet today and I was pleasantly surprised. Large selection of food and drinks. Service was great. Used plates were quickly cleared away. Ambiance makes a clean and well-kept impression. As a small point of criticism, the food could be a little warmer. But overall very good price-performance ratio.

Our food wasn't good, even the freshly prepared one from the grill wasn't fried well, the very hot sauce didn't taste like anything. Tiramisu very soggy. Sushi was ok, drink selection is good. The floor was very sticky and plates and bottles were not cleared away very often. The toilets were underground. This is not justified overall, especially for the price.

Unfortunately, it's extremely noisy there, so you can hardly have a conversation.

Something for everyone. Everything fresh and delicious. We'll definitely come back.

Durch die negativen Bewertungen waren wir etwas verunsichert. Wir können dem auf keinen Fall recht geben. Wir waren völlig zufrieden. Ob es das Personal, das Angebot, die Speisen oder Getränke waren. Alles war rundherum perfekt. Fleisch frisch und auf den Punkt gebraten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis völlig okay. In einem a la carte Restaurant bezahlt man auch ca.40-50 € pro Person inkl. Getränke. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und 2 Kids.

So far we have always been very satisfied and come to the Gopalast. It is something different than just sitting down, being served and leaving again. The offer is varied, there is something for every taste. Many thanks to the staff, who, among other things, clears away the used dishes, provides the buffet and drinks, prepares the food at reception or works in all other areas.

Unfortunately only lukewarm food, every second plate that you tried to take was dirty or greasy… In addition, you can only pay with a card if there are two people or more and I find that rather incomprehensible at €32.90 per person. Price performance wasn't right at all...you have to expect a bad feeling in your stomach after this visit. In the picture you can see what it looks like in the “sales room”...:(

We were there for dinner last night. Service is not available. Payment is made at the entrance and from then on it is self-service. Card payment is only possible for 2 people or more (€65.80). The staff that was available was friendly. The cleanliness was catastrophic both in the entrance area, in the hall and in the sanitary facilities. There were service carts with dirty plates, garbage and the like all over the hall. The food was poor and cold. So the price doesn't reflect the quality and performance.

As a group it was spontaneously possible to get a table at short notice. For 19€ it's damn good. In addition to the usual Asian dishes that you would find in the bistro, there is also a salad bar and dessert/chocolate fountain. Highly recommended

I won't eat that again because it has FROG LEGS! Even if it says that they are "bred": Everyone should pause for a moment and understand the incredible suffering of these animals, the conditions under which they live and how these creatures are processed..... I request the owners to stop offering FROG LEGS!

Even if there is a lot of space, an online reservation is recommended. The rooms are pleasantly designed. I like that the large room is divided. So you can sit quietly and chat.

Zwei Personen für 65 Euro, absolute Katastrophe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NIE WIEDER!!!!!!!!!! Zum Einen geht es gar nicht, dass man vor dem Essen bezahlen muss, zum Anderen war das Essen eher unter Durchschnittlich. Unappetitlich angerichtetes Fleisch, einfach in die Auslage geklatscht, das Sushi schmeckte exakt wie das vom Kaufland und war definitiv nicht frisch und selbst gemacht. alles Andere schmeckte auch wie aus dem Supermarkt, Pilze waren eher naja ... Das Geld lohnt sich dort in keinem Fall, Preis Leistung zu 100 % unangemessen. Der eine Stern ist nur, weil man ihn geben muss, eigentlich hat dieser Laden -50 Sterne verdient! Mal ganz davon abgesehen, dass meine Begleitung einige Stunden später massiven Durchfall bekam.

Classic all-you-can-eat - strange meat and questionable prices (including drinks). But it's great every time and it's really fun to take your time here and eat in a relaxed manner.

Unfortunately we were rather disappointed today. The food was rather lukewarm, the cleanliness (especially in the toilets) left a lot to be desired and the staff were otherwise busy. The waiters lean over the seating area and play on their cell phones or while walking through the restaurant. The staff smoking area is right in front of the entrance and by the large windows, which is not very inviting. For the price of just under €33, you can really expect more. Too bad!

This restaurant offers you everything, a wide variety of delicious food, a pleasant atmosphere and pleasant service.

We wanted to redeem our voucher for 60 euros today on Sunday, as a menu costs 29 euros. At the reception we were told that we would have to pay about 6.00 euros more! It was too expensive for us and why??? Then we left again and went there on weekdays for 19 euros!

Unfortunately, this great restaurant has fallen into disrepair. Food is no longer for us. Service not very friendly. I felt like I was in a Mitropa in olden times. Price performance no longer exists here. We will never come back and can no longer recommend you.

Food tasted good, not outstanding. Just as you would expect for such a large buffet house. Buffet was constantly replenished. Some dishes could be warmer. Service was friendly and tried to accommodate the crowd. Furnishings, tables, buffet were kept clean. Toilets were also clean. In some cases the toilet paper was missing. Due to the size of the property with an integrated children's play paradise, it is of course much louder than in a small, cozy restaurant.

The chocolate fountains were out and you could scrape the dried chocolate off the fountains if you wanted to. The freshly fried vegetables arrived at the table burnt. The meat, whether freshly fried or prepared, tasted of poor quality so I decided not to eat it. There was very little vegetarian choice in terms of both sushi and ready meals at the counter. The fruit was okay and the selection of soft drinks was very good and large. Several plates that I took from the stack were still dirty. The woman at reception immediately gave you the unfriendly impression of mass production, the rest of the staff was friendly. I wouldn't go there again. For €35 I can get my fill of better food somewhere else

Was there for the first time and am thrilled with the Gopalast. There is something for everyone, but non-alcoholic drinks are enough for me. If you bring alcohol, of course, you pay extra. After a very nice explanation from the staff, we went straight to the buffet and had a good time. I recommend this place 100 percent

It takes some getting used to, alcoholic drinks have to be purchased separately, but all non-alcoholic drinks are free. A visit is definitely worth it.

Lots of choice, you can eat whatever you want

It's been a long time since I've eaten something so bad for so much money. The food was lukewarm, the duck had had far too many flying hours (tough as leather), poor selection, inattentive staff (plates were not cleared), beer etc. via coupons, which had to be bought separately at the checkout. If you want that, you pay €32.90, if you want to eat better, you go somewhere else and probably pay less.

A huge Chinese food temple. The food is really very good and tasty. The prices have just gone up quite a bit. There is a huge buffet with everything you can imagine. The chocolate fountain is also an experience for young and old. The only small disadvantage is the size of the restaurant, very large and when there are a lot of people it is very loud. The all you can eat buffet with non-alcoholic drinks is really great.

The food was great! Everything is fresh, always plentiful. It's very big so you don't have to wait anywhere. Because it is so big, it is of course acoustically very loud and somewhat hectic. I also found the children's corner very nice.. Great for the kids..

We ate here again yesterday, as we have done so often, and were thrilled with the food as always. But service was so poor, it was my mom's birthday and I asked if it would be possible for our table to be decorated a bit. There were 8 of us and I was then fobbed off with the statement “We only offer something like this for groups of 10 or more”, which I would have understood if there had only been 4 or 5 people, but I think I had to say “no” straight away because of 2 people I very weak. Then you want to sit there and have a leisurely meal and chat, which unfortunately was almost or not possible yesterday because the two waiters threw your cleared plates and cutlery onto your cart the whole time, which really made your ears ring after a short while and you didn't understand a word. It was also seen that our dirty plates etc. were “piling up” and the two gentlemen preferred to stand there and play with their cell phones. I come from the catering industry myself and that's just bad in terms of service and for the fact that you don't pay very little, something like that isn't possible!

Visited the Gopalast for the first time. Food: A lavish selection of dishes, including Asian noodles, fries, various types of meat and a number of desserts (or as we say in the north, "compote"). Everything your heart desires is there. The taste is standard Asian. Of course there was also live cooking with good types of meat and fish. Now alcoholic drinks were included and only branded (Granini juices and sodas, Afri etc.) nothing cheap or from the syrup machine. What was the highlight for me was the chewing gum ice cream. Tastes like it did in GDR times <3 Service: Very good. Always friendly and the plates were always cleared quickly. Ambiance: Large hall with many tables. Typical buffet restaurant. All in all a good restaurant. Price/performance is right ✅️

You can eat there very nicely and a lot

Anyone who knows Chinese restaurants knows how things work there, but this restaurant is next level, you order the buffet with a flat rate for drinks, which I didn't know before. Restaurant is clean and the employees are very nice and accommodating. TOP Asian restaurant.

We come here a few times a year...it's good and plentiful...nothing to complain about...thank you for being there.
