I've been a regular at this restaurant for many years and have always been completely satisfied...until today. It used to be a status symbol to go to the Go-Palast, and it was often a challenge to even book or get a table. The food was top-notch, and the price was unbeatable. It was always a culinary journey to Asia. Today I went for the lunch buffet, and I was appalled. The much-praised crispy duck and the baked chicken were over-fried, rock hard, dry, and practically impossible to cut with a knife—you almost broke your teeth trying to eat them. The calamari rings were 90% breading. You had to search for the meat. Everything was prepared with extreme disinterest. You could barely see out of the restaurant windows, they were so smeared, especially where the waitstaff dispose of food scraps in the bins. Do they really have to do that right next to the guests' tables?! You didn't have to search for the restroom; you could smell where it was. Instead of closing the toilet doors, they've placed a chair there to prevent them from closing on their own. I suppose they want the guests to enjoy this too. The radiators are almost completely rusted and have hardly any paint left, and there's a pervasive smell of urine. Numerous chairs and armchairs are stacked on the way to the toilet, some of which should be thrown away. This kind of thing has no place in a dining area. Over the last two years, the quality has deteriorated significantly, while the price has doubled. €36 for the evening buffet and €20 for the lunch buffet is no longer justified given the quality. Unfortunately, I won't be visiting the Go-Palast again.

Despite the large selection, the food was only mediocre and nothing special. Overall, the atmosphere was unpleasant and I wouldn't recommend it. The price-performance ratio was completely off.

Gopalast is a splendid experience from start to finish. You pay upfront and then you just mind your business trying everything you want. The selection of food is vast, ranging from starters, dishes, the grill, Sushi and exotic food to a variety of desserts. The atmosphere is extraordinary with a luxurious design on the inside. Despite it being a buffet, the food is presented in an appealing way. At no point you're getting cafeteria vibes. It's truly an experience that remains memorable. The staff is very professional and kind. Since it is a buffet you're mostly by yourself though with not much staff assistance unless you need help with anything. What is especially exciting is the grill in the evening, when you can prepare various different meats with a bunch of different sauces ranging from options everyone knows and loves like pork, beef, chicken, but also exotic options like shark, kangaroo, zebra, crocodile and more. What makes the concept so succesful and enjoyable is the fact that you are willing to try these exotic selections you've never had, because if you don't end up liking it you just get something else. Trying a bit of everything makes a very fun and experimental evening. I think with their aggressive and competitive pricing many restaurants are struggling these days, because why would I pay 25-30€ for one meal and a drink, if i can just pay 34€ at Gopalast and experience an evening of a lifetime. The atmosphere is perfect for couples, but also families. It's either romantic with your partner, where the sharing experience becomes way more enjoyoable than alone, but also families, with a built in playground for children. The toilets are extremely clean, spacious and modern. The fact that drinks are included in the price (soft drinks, soda, and non alcoholic choices, coffee etc.) makes it a crazy good deal that is honestly very hard to beat. Once you're done with the amazing food the dessert deserves just as much recognition. A wonderful chocolate fountain, ice cream, many different choices of cake, fruits, mousse au chocolat, crème brûlée, panna cotta and more. There's something for everyone here.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. I am a regular customer and visit your restaurant very often, usually with my family. There are nine of us in total. I particularly enjoy your shrimp. However, on our last visit last Thursday, they were much too sweet and not as delicious as they used to be. Please do not change the flavor of the shrimp. I would also like to ask you to offer more variety in your sushi, for example, sushi in batter and other new types. If possible, I would also like to ask you to revise your dessert menu. The cakes and sweets are always the same, and it would be nice to have more options. Lately, I have also noticed that there is often no banana juice available. Please take this into consideration as well. Otherwise, everything is very good, and we are satisfied. It's just that it gets boring after a while when everything stays the same, and we would like a bit more variety. We had our Christmas party at Gopalast. It was very loud and crowded. We go there once a year, and personally, I wouldn't go back. It's getting more and more expensive, and the quality has declined. They always serve the same food. Even for a one-year-old, you now have to pay €6.50, which a child that age would never eat. Children's prices are generally very high. Personally, I wouldn't go back. In a regular restaurant, I have a wider selection of food, and with a drink, I end up paying the same as an adult. Children's menus for children up to 12 are usually free.

When a server tells you they're understaffed and underpaid, as a paying customer you can only shake your head! If a table of nine people isn't cleared for three-quarters of an hour, then of course a lot of dishes will pile up.

The food is good, and there's a large selection of drinks. Card payments are accepted. Parking is free right in front. It's just very, very crowded and sometimes even overcrowded.

The food is good, plentiful, and tasty. The restaurant is very large. It's a "mass-feeding" experience, very loud, with a group reservation at a long table by the entrance to the buffet. Conversation was impossible. Dirty plates were being collected next to our table. This, too, was noisy, like a commercial kitchen.

There were two of us, we went spontaneously without a reservation, and getting a table wasn't a problem. However, it would still be advisable to make a reservation beforehand, as it can get very busy. The restaurant looks fantastic. The buffet is huge and has everything you could possibly want. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean.

We, five adults and one child, went to the Reformation Day "holiday buffet" (€36 per person). Overall, we quite enjoyed it. The food was tasty, the place was clean, and the staff was friendly. BUT there was one drawback. There was a discount for children based on age – oh well 🫤! So far, so good. UNFORTUNATELY, there was NO DISCOUNT for seniors!!! My mother (83), who has difficulty walking, had to pay full price (for a small plate of rice and chicken). It's common knowledge that seniors generally eat portions similar to children's! Senior portions are standard practice in many restaurants and should also be available at the "GOPalast." Anything else is, in my opinion, a rip-off!

The all-you-can-eat buffet was absolutely fantastic! There was something for everyone, whether you preferred sweet or savory, meat or fish, and much more. Everyone definitely got their money's worth, and the price was justified. I highly recommend trying it.

Hmm. At first glance, it looks quite nice, and the food was plentiful and tasty. However, I was very shocked by the mass-production atmosphere. There's no sense of coziness. Presumably, the cleaning staff and the caretaker were also sick. Otherwise, I can't explain why so many bulbs in the chandeliers are broken or why there's already a centimeter of dust on various decorative items. The sanitary facilities are also grimy and worn out. 🤔 At these prices, we won't be coming back!

The staff are all very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, some of the food was a bit cold, but still delicious. What we noticed this time, something we've never noticed before, was that the plates were all quite dirty. Sometimes you had to reach for them three or four times before you finally got a clean one. We went for the midweek lunch menu for the first time in a long time. As before, there's nothing to complain about.

Every time we're there, we're never disappointed. We like to reserve a table in advance, as it gets very busy during peak times! From the food selection to the drinks selection, there's something for everyone. There are various types of meat and fish that you can have cooked on site. There's also a wide selection of takeaways. For the price, you get really good food, and you can take everything you want, just like the drinks; everything is included in the price (except for alcoholic beverages), which you pay for separately. We really enjoy coming here and come often.

This is my second time here. On my first visit, my first stop after a long drive was the restroom. I found a pair of tummy-slimming pants, which was just my kind of humor. However, it was the only amusing thing about the place. The restrooms are absolutely filthy, with cobwebs hanging very low, and the place is generally unclean. The kids' area is also extremely dirty. The dining area and restaurant are nicely decorated and cleaner than the rest of the hotel. The food is delicious and is replenished promptly.

Extremely loud, both the kitchen and the ambient noise. Extremely cold, as if the air conditioning were constantly on. It's also a real shame that the names of the dishes aren't really clear; vegan or vegetarian labels are desperately needed. Organizing seating is difficult, as the whole point of the system is to get up, and it doesn't work well if you're sitting at a table in the middle of the corner. The food itself is barely seasoned and is swimming in grease on the warming plates. At least the staff are friendly, which is kind of the only good thing about this place.

The selection of dishes was very good, but unfortunately, the restaurant quickly feels crowded. You should also be prepared to wait, as you're charged immediately upon entry, which leads to long lines when the restaurant opens. The grilled dishes took a reasonable 15 minutes to prepare and arrive at your table. This is quite remarkable considering the number of seats, and therefore a compliment to the chefs, even if some of them were cooked for too long 😉. All in all, I would eat here again.

There's certainly plenty to try, but the food is rather mediocre in terms of taste and reminiscent of a large Turkish hotel. The surrounding area is quite noisy, as many large families use the restaurant and the many children play very loudly. Unfortunately, the price no longer reflects the quality.

If you can't find something suitable to eat here, it's your own fault! Okay, there are significant restrictions for vegans. So you should check in advance whether this restaurant is the right choice for you. I, for one, was once again very impressed. There's a huge selection of different 🍣 sushi, meat (prepared or raw, so you can have it freshly grilled), drinks (non-alcoholic included in the all-you-can-eat menu), and super delicious desserts.

Visited for the first time today. Plenty of parking spaces. Friendly service. Pleasant temperature inside. The food was very plentiful, with a bit of everything. Drinks were all nicely chilled, including coffee, tea, etc. Sure, they cater to large quantities, so quality sometimes suffers, but it's still recommended, and the price is perfectly reasonable for such a generous buffet. If you have something grilled, you usually get a surprise plate; there's always something missing... But it wasn't a problem for us... We had a lovely evening here!

I can recommend it with a clear conscience. If you want to eat something other than bridal noodles with chicken, this is the place to go. The fresh produce counter, which is then brought back freshly prepared using a clamp system, is very well stocked. You can choose from crayfish, mussels, pangasius, squid, zebra fish, beef, and so on, and freely select your desired sauces and vegetables. The buffet of prepared dishes is really large, good, and really varied. If you only like salad, sweets, ice cream, or desserts, you won't be disappointed. Non-alcoholic drinks can be brought to your table in endless quantities, freshly chilled and in bottles. Alcoholic drinks are available at the counter for an additional charge. Payment is based on the number of participants and the booked dining time. We paid €36 per person for 1.5 hours, and I think that's very reasonable given the selection. We'll definitely be happy to come back here again and again.

Conclusion: Highly recommended from a culinary perspective, both for the buffet and the drinks and the prices. However, those who value good service and hospitality may be disappointed. If improvements are made here, the restaurant has the potential to be a real insider tip in Leipzig.

Another particularly positive aspect is that there are free soft drinks in the refrigerators and a bar with alcoholic beverages. Everything tastes good, and you'll definitely be satisfied. The noise level in the restaurant is very high, and you sit very close together—even when there are plenty of other seats available. I also found it concerning that exotic meat like shark is offered. What was really negative: Many employees were obviously standing or sitting around with their cell phones, some were even outside smoking and smelled accordingly. Behind the sushi counter, the "chefs" were sitting on buckets, loudly watching videos instead of working—this seems unprofessional and significantly detracts from the overall impression. Overall, a restaurant with great potential and a good selection, but the staff and atmosphere definitely need improvement.

But packed means it's loud, so you won't get a quiet, romantic candlelit dinner. Plates are cleared away promptly; we've had them several times. I visited on Thursday and had the lunch buffet. There's a hot buffet, salads, a sushi bar, fruit, ice cream, dessert, and coffee. You can get some good meals for just €19.50. However, non-alcoholic drinks aren't free. The Asian dishes are more delicious.

I've been there several times. Always satisfied, but what I experienced last time, never again!! We went on a Sunday; it was a mass-processing experience. The grilled meat was either way too tough or almost burnt. The sushi tasted a bit rotten. The ready meals were nothing special. No love for spices or anything. And the best part: You can still feel the flavor of it all day. Vomiting, watery diarrhea.

We had reserved a table for a birthday party with 18 people two weeks in advance. We had expected a shared table or at least a solution where we could celebrate together. Instead, we were seated at four separate tables, sometimes even with strangers at small additional tables. This made it simply impossible to talk or celebrate together. When we asked, we weren't even allowed to push the tables together – completely incomprehensible for such a large reservation. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unwilling to find a solution. In the end, of course, the bill was taken without any problems, but no sense of service was shown. The food itself was also a major disappointment. Many dishes are simply over-saturated with sauce to give the meat any taste at all. The sushi is as dry as a desert, and the desserts look pretty but taste like nothing – comparable to typical Turkish dessert imitations that only look good. The grilled food sometimes arrives cold or lukewarm at the table. After more than two years, nothing seems to have improved at Go Palast. Prices are rising, quality is either staying the same or declining, and cleanliness is questionable. The buffet areas are so tightly packed that guests with full plates are in each other's way. There's clearly no plan to properly manage the large crowds. Conclusion: For what it offers, Go Palast is simply overpriced and a disgrace. There are many better all-you-can-eat buffets in Leipzig that are more worth the money. For us, one thing is clear: Never again Go Palast!

I spent my birthday there with my family, and we were thrilled. For the price, you get a lot of food, and it was also incredibly delicious. Even my father, who is usually a picky eater, had no trouble finding something. I can also highly recommend the Mongolian grill: Everything was cooked to perfection and served promptly at our table. Not to mention, the dessert was also delicious.

Visually, both the presentation of the food and the ambiance are very impressive. Points deducted for the sushi (the rice and wasabi cream tasted poorly) and the ambiance (huge, reminiscent of a train station - but the noise level is kept to a minimum thanks to clever room division). It was interesting to try shark and zebra fish! Not to mention the many desserts and the two chocolate fountains.

Everything you need is there, I just missed a bottle of water 🤷. I enjoyed it, but the service was a bit quick, which wasn't my cup of tea. It's nice that you can have fresh food fried fresh. However, this takes a while. I rate the food selection positively. I would recommend reserving a table if you're dining there with a larger group. That goes without saying, though. There's a large, free parking lot. It's also wheelchair accessible and child-friendly.

We spontaneously arrived without a reservation on Sunday when it opened at 5:30 p.m. There was a small line outside because, of course, they charge you right away. The two of us had a table for four. You may need to make a reservation on other days, but for us, everything went quickly. The food was plentiful and freshly made; it didn't taste reheated. Bottled drinks are available at any time; only alcohol costs extra. Water is available from a tap. The direct grill takes longer when there are a lot of people, and sometimes it gets a bit charred. Restrooms were comparable to other restaurants. The children's area seemed fine and clean. And the restaurant shouldn't be held responsible for the noise and mess there and under the tables, but rather the parents, who can't control their children and should rather let them eat on the floor. There are signs posted stating that you're obviously not allowed to take drinks bottles and food outside, and that there will be an extra €5 charge for any gratuitous waste. We only finished half of a plate of salmon in the end, and we weren't charged for it. This is probably more about the crazy people who build Towers of Babel out of food or leave half-full plates on their tables several times. We were also asked every time if we could take dishes with us, except for empty bottles, which was very convenient since we prefer to reuse plates. Anyone who knows their way around buffets will easily recoup the €36 from the Sunday evening barbecue buffet. But if you just want a portion of duck with rice, you should choose a regular restaurant.

A great place for a celebration—plenty of food and a fun atmosphere. For €34, you can eat as much as you like, so you won't leave hungry. But if you're a light eater, it might not be worth the money.

The food is good and plentiful, as expected. I would like to point out the noise level of the waiters when cleaning dishes. Since this takes place in the middle of the guests, it can sometimes be very loud and unpleasant. Screaming and running children are also very annoying. Therefore, the restaurant is not suitable for playing catch and should be banned.

Not much choice, we pay 36 euros per person upon arrival for uncooled drinks because there is no rotation, they only put them out when there are only about ten left, so there you go, noisy, not much light where we were, they didn't explain to us how it works, we had to ask a waiter who clears away to find out and he told us that alcoholic drinks had to go back to the cash register to pay in advance and then order. Otherwise, the drinks were in the fridge, so frankly rubbish, and what's more, people are trampling each other. And when he looks to see if there are things that are off the trays, he quickly puts them back in with the spatula and wipes them with the same cloth as for everything else, people touch the edges, so he should have thrown them away and not put them back in. I really don't recommend it...

It is mesmerizing to see all kinds of different Chinese food and also Japanese food including sushi, you can enjoy! It is really something special because it is an all u can eat and the place has very good internal designs etc.

My first time at the palace, and well, what can I say? They really put on a lot of food, and you can find something for everyone! The food itself was good (what I chose). The only thing that didn't bother me was that someone was constantly there clearing the table! But otherwise, it was really good 👍

A definite recommendation if you like this kind of food. We've been here about 327 times, and it was always incredibly delicious... A little money-saving tip: 'Sachsensonntag Leipzig' regularly has coupons you can clip.

Very good buffet, with drinks included. It's good to make a reservation in advance. There are, sometimes, discount coupons on the Sunday newspaper you get delivered to your home.

If you have school-age children and can no longer afford to fly on vacation... you can have a mini-vacation here. First, sniff the sunscreen and then head into the GoPalast. You can't get any closer to a 5-star vacation in Bulgaria or Turkey. This hall, the ambiance, the slightly loud atmosphere, the buffet, and also the clientele – I'm always in a complete mini-vacation mood when I'm there. I don't think there's much to say about the food and concept. It's a good fit. I now feel it's a bit too expensive (given where the prices used to start). On the other hand, it's cheaper than a full vacation. :-)

The food is very bad, the prices are very high, the drinks are of the worst kind, there's very little food, the lighting is very poor, and there's no variety of drinks. This restaurant doesn't deserve anyone to eat there; its rating is less than one star.

A great all-you-can-eat and drink experience. The staff are mostly friendly. The food tastes good, and there's something for everyone when it comes to drinks. The star deduction is because the tables are very close together and the lighting is sometimes very dim. Otherwise, highly recommended. :)

Well, one person threw up once and the waiter just walked away and it wasn't cleaned up because the person looked really bad and couldn't clean it up. Otherwise everyone is very nice and the all you can eat and drink concept is good and the food tastes very delicious, the price is also acceptable.

I highly recommend it. Parking is right in front, and most importantly, you can step outside for a smoke. It's a 1.5-hour drive, so we'll definitely be back.

There are few varieties of dishes, and the prices are more expensive than similar restaurants. There is not much seafood and it is not fresh. When we went to have dinner, many areas were not lit, making the room dim. I don't recommend it.

The food is always delicious, there's never a shortage of options, and the drinks are top-notch too. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. I love coming back again and again – highly recommended!

We were satisfied. There's everything your heart desires and more than enough of everything. It's always busy. Drinks are distributed in coolers. Water is available from a dispenser. Only the high price shocked us. But it's partly understandable when you see what some people send back to be lasered and then thrown away.

It was a lovely evening. Buffet food and non-alcoholic drinks included. What more could you want? They even prepared a barbecue based on our individual preferences. It was really good.

We went out to eat as a family. Two adults and two children, aged 10 and 9. Our table number was 96, by the play area/restrooms. We were the first guests that day and probably got the worst seat in the restaurant. We had to spend the whole evening watching a member of staff folding napkins in the dining room, throwing away all the other guests' leftovers, and we felt like we were in a canteen where people were constantly heading to the restrooms. I would have understood if it had been the only table left, but if you pay over €100 and are the first guest, I can't seat guests there, like in our case. There were plenty of tables free in other areas. The food was OK. But when I go to eat there, I also want to be able to enjoy the ambience. That wasn't the case at all. It was very disappointing this time.

The all-you-can-eat buffet...there was enough for a weekday restaurant visit, but it will certainly be more extensive at weekends, especially with meat and fresh vegetables that you can put together and prepared live. It was enough for me; I was satisfied, and the subtle music was just right.
