Gopalast Leipzig in Leipzig

Durch die negativen Bewertungen waren wir etwas verunsichert. Wir können dem auf keinen Fall recht geben. Wir waren völlig zufrieden. Ob es das Personal, das Angebot, die Speisen oder Getränke waren. Alles war rundherum perfekt. Fleisch frisch und auf den Punkt gebraten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis völlig okay. In einem a la carte Restaurant bezahlt man auch ca.40-50 € pro Person inkl. Getränke. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und 2 Kids.

Zwei Personen für 65 Euro, absolute Katastrophe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NIE WIEDER!!!!!!!!!! Zum Einen geht es gar nicht, dass man vor dem Essen bezahlen muss, zum Anderen war das Essen eher unter Durchschnittlich. Unappetitlich angerichtetes Fleisch, einfach in die Auslage geklatscht, das Sushi schmeckte exakt wie das vom Kaufland und war definitiv nicht frisch und selbst gemacht. alles Andere schmeckte auch wie aus dem Supermarkt, Pilze waren eher naja ... Das Geld lohnt sich dort in keinem Fall, Preis Leistung zu 100 % unangemessen. Der eine Stern ist nur, weil man ihn geben muss, eigentlich hat dieser Laden -50 Sterne verdient! Mal ganz davon abgesehen, dass meine Begleitung einige Stunden später massiven Durchfall bekam.

It takes some getting used to, alcoholic drinks have to be purchased separately, but all non-alcoholic drinks are free. A visit is definitely worth it.

It's been a long time since I've eaten something so bad for so much money. The food was lukewarm, the duck had had far too many flying hours (tough as leather), poor selection, inattentive staff (plates were not cleared), beer etc. via coupons, which had to be bought separately at the checkout. If you want that, you pay €32.90, if you want to eat better, you go somewhere else and probably pay less.

A huge Chinese food temple. The food is really very good and tasty. The prices have just gone up quite a bit. There is a huge buffet with everything you can imagine. The chocolate fountain is also an experience for young and old. The only small disadvantage is the size of the restaurant, very large and when there are a lot of people it is very loud. The all you can eat buffet with non-alcoholic drinks is really great.

Were there for the third time. Always a pleasure!

the ready-made dishes are subpar, the mongolian grill is okay, atmosphere is horrible and very noisy, children run around everywhere screaming and bumping into things , free included drinks are nice

The food was great! Everything is fresh, always plentiful. It's very big so you don't have to wait anywhere. Because it is so big, it is of course acoustically very loud and somewhat hectic. I also found the children's corner very nice.. Great for the kids..

We ate here again yesterday, as we have done so often, and were thrilled with the food as always. But service was so poor, it was my mom's birthday and I asked if it would be possible for our table to be decorated a bit. There were 8 of us and I was then fobbed off with the statement “We only offer something like this for groups of 10 or more”, which I would have understood if there had only been 4 or 5 people, but I think I had to say “no” straight away because of 2 people I very weak. Then you want to sit there and have a leisurely meal and chat, which unfortunately was almost or not possible yesterday because the two waiters threw your cleared plates and cutlery onto your cart the whole time, which really made your ears ring after a short while and you didn't understand a word. It was also seen that our dirty plates etc. were “piling up” and the two gentlemen preferred to stand there and play with their cell phones. I come from the catering industry myself and that's just bad in terms of service and for the fact that you don't pay very little, something like that isn't possible!

Visited the Gopalast for the first time. Food: A lavish selection of dishes, including Asian noodles, fries, various types of meat and a number of desserts (or as we say in the north, "compote"). Everything your heart desires is there. The taste is standard Asian. Of course there was also live cooking with good types of meat and fish. Now alcoholic drinks were included and only branded (Granini juices and sodas, Afri etc.) nothing cheap or from the syrup machine. What was the highlight for me was the chewing gum ice cream. Tastes like it did in GDR times <3 Service: Very good. Always friendly and the plates were always cleared quickly. Ambiance: Large hall with many tables. Typical buffet restaurant. All in all a good restaurant. Price/performance is right ✅️

You can eat there very nicely and a lot

Anyone who knows Chinese restaurants knows how things work there, but this restaurant is next level, you order the buffet with a flat rate for drinks, which I didn't know before. Restaurant is clean and the employees are very nice and accommodating. TOP Asian restaurant.

The concept is really good, but definitely not an option for us to go again. It's just a buffet, it's about quantity not quality, but you actually know that in advance. The selection is great and the option to have meat/fish/vegetables grilled on site. Unfortunately, our meat was almost burnt and so hard that we couldn't eat it, which was a shame. The restaurant is extremely overcrowded, the tables are so close together and the volume is so extremely loud that normal conversation is hardly possible. The plates bang behind you because the dishes in the aisles are roughly cleaned and put together between the guests. Everything seems hectic and restless, which is simply due to the mass of people there.

The food has lost a lot of quality! Most of it didn't taste like anything and the buffet was very smeared with food! Drinks were almost completely empty. We definitely won't be coming back...today was mass instead of great!

Were here for the first time and were disappointed. All dishes were topped with chervil. The grilled food arrived and the selection of desserts was also small and out of stock. A pity. Not good value for money.

The offer is varied, there is something for every taste. We were very happy the first two times, but this Saturday, July 14, 2024, it was a disaster. There were often dirty plates and there were Gretens in the sushi. In addition, it took a very long time until the tables were cleared.

Because of the positive reviews, we visited the Gopalast. Unfortunately, we can only share the positive impressions to a limited extent. After entering the restaurant, you will first be asked to pay and then escorted to a table. The almost all-inclusive concept is positive, in which all food and soft drinks are included in the price. However, this means that the drinks themselves at the buffet have to be fetched from refrigerators and the service staff only act as clearers. Surprisingly, the drinks were even branded products such as Afri Cola and Granini spritzers. Compared to other Asian buffets, the selection is very meager and limited. Cheap fillings such as fried rice and noodles are available in abundance, while other typical Chinese dishes such as sweet and sour pork are missed. The Mongolian buffet offers a large selection of meat, but very few vegetables as a side dish. Sushi uses way too much rice and spoons soy sauce and wasabi out of tubs. All in all, the Gopalast didn't convince us and there are some other buffets that are of higher quality in terms of selection and food.

Great buffet with a huge selection. The taste is simply great 👍🏻 Non-alcoholic drinks included in the price are “All you can drink” 👌🏻 Very nice atmosphere. A visit is more recommended during the week than on the weekend, as prices rise on the weekend and the tables are quickly filled and you can expect waiting times.

Lunch was okay, reasonably priced

My wife and I are probably too old for this catering model. Very loud, the service is completely overwhelmed and you have to take care of yourself 80% of the time anyway. The fact that you first have to go to the entrance to buy alcoholic drinks and then cross the store to the counter, where you are expected to be unfriendly, is borderline. The toilets were unkempt and there was a ball pit for children in front of it and 1000 shoes on the floor, great. In our opinion, the food was average, so we decided to go to the Dynastie in Taucha. As I said, young people may like this kind of thing, but we don't. Sorry, but we won't be coming back because the price-performance ratio in combination with a nice evening wasn't there.

We went to the “all you can eat and drink” buffet in the evening. The Go Palace lives up to its name. It's huge and really nicely decorated. Pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff. The buffet was perfectly prepared and was always refilled. The selection of food and drinks is really extensive. Everything fresh and delicious. I didn't think that one could expect good quality from the restaurant with its size. In any case, really recommended. By the way, we hadn't booked any seats beforehand. Wasn't a problem at all. There is a play area for children. There are also enough parking spaces available. We would be happy to come back.

Dust, cobwebs and no toilet paper in the women's toilets are a NO GO! Definitely needs to be changed

You quickly cashed in when you went into the restaurant and then you were left to your own devices. Mine is not about getting drinks yourself and for alcohol with a chip...and the price is pretty high too.

Large selection, but unfortunately much of it is only lukewarm. Since it wasn't full, the food from the grill came quickly. Despite the moderate number of visitors, it took a long time to clear away. The ice cream scoop container was broken. Therefore there was no water in it. The white chocolate fountain shown in the pictures was not there. For our vegetarian, the offer was manageable. We found the price/performance ratio to be too expensive. We also found it to be very loud.

Had a very bizarre evening. We had the buffet with 10 people for €35 each! The selection is quite large but the quality is real... Not worth the price at all. Someone gave a plate at the table to grill, and half of it was missing. Someone else had vegetables on it that were never supposed to be on it and were put there. The fish was still raw on one side and fried hard on the other side. The chocolate in the fountain at least tasted expired and had been there for days. It could be life-threatening for allergy sufferers. The kicker, however, was: I went to the front desk with 2 children to get fortune cookies, everyone took a handful (3 each for 3 people), the lady behind said to me: "How many people are there?!" An impudence! We paid over €300 for the evening and then it wasn't even worth a few fortune cookies to the operators. I've never experienced anything like that. All the all-you-can-eat restaurants have been better than this one.

But the shrimp, squid, and fish are delicious. The waiters are very nice and quickly remove everything from the table that is not needed. Asian cuisine is also ok. Non-alcoholic drinks are included in the price. Overall I liked it, but it’s damn expensive 😂 Oh, I forgot to add. If you are from Ukraine, don’t take crayfish, as for me, they are not tasty.

Tolles Ambiente, Personal war freundlich. Essen war lecker (voraus gesetzt man mag die fernöstliche Küche). Viel Auswahl, für jeden etwas dabei. Ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten direkt davor. Werde ganz sicher noch einmal vorbeischauen.

A very exotic restaurant. Rarely have I been so enthusiastic. Card payment is only possible for "at least 2 people" so you can't pay with a card alone, so please be careful!! It's a stupid rule, yes, but the food is great, I was very, very happy and had enough!

Good selection, from Mongolian grill, sushi and other Chinese food. For sweets, too, there are cake bites, pudding and curd preparations, tiramisu and peeled fruit on skewers next to a chocolate fountain, which is only filled with couverture. Ice cream lovers will also get their money's worth.

The selection of food is simply brilliant... there is almost nothing that you can't have prepared. The selection of ready-made dishes is also very diverse. The only drawback is the all you can eat price, which I personally think is far too high.

So once you have reserved and are inside, you can start straight away. The selection of food and drinks is more than sufficient, I think everyone will find something there. At first I had to get used to the number of people there, of course it's a bit louder, but what the heck, everything was perfectly fine, I'll definitely be visiting again.

It's better not to have a children's play area than a dirty one like this. Even though there are instructions about "no food waste", there is certainly significantly more waste in this store than in others. Vegans search for food here almost in vain, even vegetarian is difficult.
