Great food, great service! Very friendly service (especially Nicole)

Während einer Fortbildung hatte ich die Gelegenheit, das Restaurant Goldener Apfel zu besuchen. Das Ambiente war äußerst angenehm – ein charmantes Fachwerkhaus, das eine gemütliche und einladende Atmosphäre bot. Das Essen war hervorragend und dabei preislich absolut angemessen. Ich entschied mich für das einfachste Schnitzel, in der Hoffnung, danach noch Platz für einen Nachtisch zu haben. Doch der Teller war so großzügig und reichhaltig belegt, dass ich kapitulieren musste. Das Schnitzel war sehr lecker und von hoher Qualität. Den Abend rundeten wir mit einigen "Bierlängen" ab, bevor wir das Restaurant zufrieden verließen. Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, das ich gerne weiterempfehle

Rustic inn in the center of Mörfelden with large outdoor restaurants. In addition to many other delicacies, delicious, varied salads are served. According to the friendly waitress, their honey mustard dressing is based on a recipe from the chef's Dominican grandmother and is kept secret by him. The lunch (you can choose between three menus) was served quickly.

Regional food, large wine list and large selection of delicious schnitzels. Very good and friendly service.

We were at a major event and unfortunately we didn't like the food. Huge schnitzel with a lot of breadcrumbs. Steak was really bloody and lukewarm. Dessert cream Catalana looked like it had gone over and also tasted strange.

Sehr heimelige Atmosphäre, superfreundliches Personal, lecker-frisches Essen. Perfekter Start in unseren Urlaub. Great atmosphere (building from the 17hundreds), super attentive waiters, great food. We flew in from the US that day and had to fight jet lag: perfect dinner to start our vacation.

Been in Mörfelden again for well over 10 years... and of course still thought about the "Golden Apple", which was hit by a heavy hailstorm on the day of our first visit and was even seen on (regional?) television was. But - everything was fine again, we found "the apple" again and were warmly welcomed this Wednesday despite the restaurant being full (we came unannounced). Even though we had to sit at the "barrel", a place intended more for drinks guests, the food was not only plentiful, but also good and inexpensive. The spare ribs were grilled to perfection and the sausage salad with fried potatoes, a Hessian specialty called “Hans Wurst”, was also impressive. The service is super nice, you are greeted in a friendly manner, you feel like you are among friends. In addition, the young bartender apparently recognizes who is interested in Hessian ciders and gives the "stranger" a taste ;-) All in all, a lovely stay at the end of an otherwise rainy weekday. If we pick someone up at Frankfurt Airport again and spend the night in Mörfelden beforehand, the “Golden Apple” is of course a must. Maybe this time with a pre-order? ;-) Normally I'm always a bit sparing with the maximum number of stars to award, as there's usually still some room for improvement somewhere... but I can't really think of anything to complain about here. That's why I rarely give my 5 stars as much as I do here. See you next time!

Unfortunately we had the table under the tree and the whole table was full of bird shit. The crowning glory was the pigeon poop in the food. Otherwise it was tasty and the service was good too. A swapped meal would have been good.

Nice basic real German place in an authentic rustic environment. Excellent kind service.

The food was quite good... not just mine, but also that of my companions.. 👍 ... and the quantity should be enough for most guests .. 😅 The service was very attentive and the waiting times for drinks and food were short... that could possibly change if there was a lot of traffic. With all the positives... it is recommended to make a reservation before visiting, especially if you want a seat inside (due to the weather).

The food is still quite good, but has also become a little more expensive this year. You can sit outside very nicely in the summer and if it rains there is a cover. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly. 3 years ago there were still young, attractive girls who were on their toes and served well. Now we sat there for 30 minutes and waited to see if anyone asked us what we would like to eat or drink. Unfortunately none. Maybe next year it will be better again.

Great restaurant in an old-established restaurant in the middle of town. When the weather is nice you can sit outside on the covered terrace. Very tasty food and impeccable courteous service! Class!

Good German food, friendly staff, and a really great outdoor garden. The perfect place for a casual summer evening. You might even meet some friendly locals if you are willing to share a table.

Ich war mit Freundinnen zum Abendessen dort. Der Tisch war reserviert und wir saßen draußen. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Getränke und Essen waren schnell da. Wir waren mit unserem Essen alle zufrieden und es war auch sehr lecker. Ich fand nur die Preise ziemlich gestiegen. Ich hatte für eine Person letztendlich 35 euro gezahlt. Ausserdem fand ich die Portion Dorade ziemlich übersichtlich - 1 Scheibe Fisch mittelgroß, 5-6 halbierte Cocktailtomaten und eine Kartoffel in Scheiben angerichtet. Dafür knapp 23 Euro, ja fand ich doch ein bisschen viel.

We had lunch with 6 people on Sunday. The beer garden was fully occupied. Nevertheless, we were served quickly and very friendly, the food came in a reasonable time and was very tasty. The portions are generous. I can recommend it without reservation and will definitely come back.

My family and I come from near Berlin. We stayed overnight in a hotel there. because we flew on vacation from Frankfurt Main. We discovered it by chance and visited it twice. 1 x before we leave for vacation and 1 x when we return. All I can say is that we haven't had such a delicious, brilliant meal in a long time. Everything freshly prepared. Price-performance fits perfectly. Service is also great. It's a shame that there won't be any further visits for us. Otherwise we would use this restaurant as our regular table. Just stay as you are.

You can no longer eat there. The salad was just a mush, not freshly prepared. The liver dry and not tasty. Overwhelmed staff, a disaster.

I can't say enough positive things about the service at this establishment. The staff is very tolerant of small alterations and goes above and beyond to assure visitors satisfaction. I would recommend if you like delicious food. Always worth the stop!!!

Yesterday we went to the "Golden Apple" for the first time and quite spontaneously. We weren't disappointed. The food was very tasty and Nicole was also super nice and charming. We'll definitely be back!

Great food, great service, and a lovely end to a long day if travelling. The staff were absolutely lovely and were so friendly to my children. I have been to Germany a few times over the last year, and the food in this lovely restaurant stands out. I'd happily return if I was passing this way again.

A fantastic restaurant with a nice menu. We were warmly welcomed by a waitress who could even speak Dutch. And of which I received a homemade drink for free. If you are in the area, this restaurant is highly recommended!

Nice restaurant in a half-timbered house. Large hall for celebrations. Large covered beer garden. Super Service. When we were there, it was pretty full. That said, everything took a while and then went very quickly. Home-style cooking and a few exotic dishes with Hessian names.

This was the 1st restaurant me & my wife ate at after landing in Frankfurt, Germany. The food was delicious & staff were friendly & spoke English. Yun & Nadia attended to us & they were great! We recommend the Schnitzel with mushrooms & beef liver.
