Very good Indian food. The service was great and the food came to the table quickly. Really recommended.

The food was excellent, especially the mango lassi and chicken dum biryani, but I suggest that the customer service could be improved.

I became aware of Golden Spoon when we ordered food for the lunch break in Dr. Dienerowitz's practice. We were all very enthusiastic, and that's why I ordered there privately at the weekend. The Chicken Korma was incredibly delicious – tender chicken in a perfectly seasoned, creamy sauce. The Parotta bread was the ideal complement: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Absolutely recommended for lovers of Indian cuisine!

Food didn't taste good at all, worst chicken korma I've ever eaten The food was ordered via Uber Eats! I would like to get my money refunded and give the restaurant another chance!

In transit stayed in Heidelberg and discovered this place based on review comments. In Belgium, where I live there is not even a single Indian restaurant which is of good quality .. glad to be here. Staff is very polite and courteous . I asked for suggestion and he recommended South Indian cuisine as the chef seems to be South Indian .. great food and reasonable prices . Had dosa and idli .. lovely

We went there to enjoy south Indian food. It was pretty good. The service was quite prompt. There was no wait. We found the food to be a bit spicy. The chutney, sambar and the Dosa masala were a bit spicy. We really liked idly. They were pretty soft and light.

I was just at the lunch buffet. Great quality and very tasty. Price is also completely okay.

We found this restaurant at 2:30 pm while it closes at 3:00 pm. However, the host invited us warmly. We ordered Veg. Manchurian as my son was looking for it for a long time. We also ordered plain dosa, Idli sambhar, kotthu paratha and everything turned out to be so fresh, delicious and authentic. We loved everything. We don't get such authentic food even in OC, California and we appreciate the quality of food here in Germany. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for Indian food. This is coming from my son 😊: So much for being a tourist in Germany this restaurant had really good quality of the veg Manchurian. It was so good so as the idli sambhar and kotthu paratha.

Excellent Gobi Manchuri. For fans of Gobi Manchurian, Excellent Gobi Manchuri in the Rhein Neckar Region is a top choice. Their Gobi Manchurian is perfectly crispy and flavorful, earning them the reputation for the best in the area. While the Masala Dosa falls short, the other dishes make up for it. The restaurant offers a friendly, inviting atmosphere with attentive staff, ensuring a pleasant experience. Prices are reasonable, offering great value for the authentic flavors and quality. Recommend this restaurant highly when compared to high priced low quality restaurants like Athidhi.

Recently dined here and had a delightful experience. Although the place is small, it boasts a cozy and inviting ambience. We ordered Mango lassi, Samosa, Gobi Manchurian, Uttappam, and Masala dosa. Each dish was delicious, with the Gobi Manchurian and Uttappam standing out in particular. The only slight letdown was the Masala dosa, which could have been better. Despite this, the meal was reasonably priced, making it a great value for the quality of food.

Best Indian food I’ve had in Heidelberg. Lamb biriyani was standout and the staff are super friendly.

Ordered gobhi Manchurian, veg dum biryani and chai for myself. The Manchurian and chai were good but the biryani lacked the spice and the punch. Was a little disappointed as I was expecting a lot more considering the very high ratings for this restaurant.

We had 3 different dosas and samosa to take away. Very friendly service, very tasty, really well seasoned food at good prices.

The Golden Spoon restaurant deserves an outstanding rating of 5 stars. The Indian food was delicious and the service was first class. The order was delivered quickly and all extra requests were taken into account. Getting to the restaurant was also easy. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone.

Update: Unfortunately I have to deduct a star. The food was so spicy that we could hardly eat it, despite ordering it was mild. By the way, we eat spicy food, but it's also very spicy, which is a bit overwhelming for us. We've tried so many times, now we won't eat there anymore. We also think it was better at the beginning than last. This time we had Mixed Veg Pakora and Onion Pakora as a starter and both tasted exactly the same. Dead fried “vegetables” with a spicy coating and unfortunately not at all crispy. The prices displayed online will also not be correct when you pick it up. All in all, we've been annoyed too often now. Service: very nice, but a deduction because it always takes much longer than stated. Very nice, new Indian restaurant in our immediate neighborhood. We also like to go and pick up something and are now recognized. The only thing that doesn't fit is the level of spiciness. I always order NOT spicy and say so for a child. The paneer dishes are simply a bit too cooked down, over-spiced and always too spicy. My child loves Indian, but she can't get it down. It always ends up that she eats my masala dosa (without spicy vegetables) and I eat the rest. You could still optimize that if someone just doesn't want it spicy... or you don't offer it.

The food here is very tasty. We had chicken biryani, samosa and chicken curry. The chicken was very tender and the curry was spicy but very tasty. Can really recommend it.

We came here today. Just done with our lunch. We ordered uthappam, sambar vada, veg biryani, and carrot halwa. Uthappam- got 2 uthappam, coconut chutney and sambar : Coconut chutney smelled oily. Uthappam is fine and spongy. Sambar vada: got 3 small sized vadas and sambar. Vadas are fine. Sambar: needs a bit more tamarind, jaggery, salt and spice. Veg Biryani: salan, raita and biryani Biryani quantity is okay for 1 person. The taste is fine. Can add a little bit of salt. Raita and salan are fine. Carrot halwa: No need for food color. If they skip adding food color it would be nice. Also it just felt like it's boiled in sugar water. Carrot halwa can be a lot better. If they made the halwa with milk and added khoya to the halwa, it would have tasted good. They can also add a bit more of ghee.

I recently visited this restaurant. The food, the service and the ambiance were very good. The service was very fast. We had sambar idli, paneer butter masala and chapatis. The sambar was the best i had so far in Germany. Paneer butter masala was also very tasty and was made spicy when i requested for it. I really recommend this restaurant.

So I've been there twice so far, and both times it was really delicious. The price is definitely right in relation to the portion and the good taste. The curry in particular is to die for. In addition, the owner is very nice. Gladly again.

I recently tried this restaurant on a friend's recommendation and I have to say it's amazing! The chef is from Kerala and the authenticity of the food is almost the same. The dishes were delicious. The restaurant stands out from others in Heidelberg and offers a delicious and authentic South Indian dining experience. I can only recommend giving it a try!

Wir waren heute im Golden Spoon und ich muss sagen, das Essen war sehr gut. Die Küche kocht sehr authentisch und frisch. Geschmacklich habe ich schon lange nicht mehr so gut indisch gegessen. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, sowie die Portionen waren sehr fair. Komme immer gerne wieder.

Mega lecker und hundefreundlich! Ich kann das bhindi masala sehr empfehlen! Wir werden hier öfters vorbeikommen. Auch die Bedienung war sehr nett. Schade, dass es von außen „nur“ wie ein Imbiss wirkt. Innen ist es echt sehr schick eingerichtet. Vllt die blinkenden Lichterketten weglassen? Ist ja aber Geschmacksache 🙂

Klein, aber fein. Ich bin kein Experte für indisches Essen, es hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Portionen sind mittelgroß und preislich in Ordnung. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Service is really good as I didn't wait too long to get the food. Also they gave candy to my kid when I was leaving. The food was delicious. I'd definitely visit this place again.

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant Golden spoon in Heidelberg and had a mixed experience. The ambience was truly excellent, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The menu offered a wide variety of North and South Indian dishes, which was impressive. The waiter service was attentive and efficient. The even literally serve you with a golden coloured spoon of course it's not a real gold spoon 😃 but the golden spoon is attractive. However, my dining experience was marred when I found an unexpected element in my dish, which was disappointing. What stood out to me was that the cook came out and personally apologized for the oversight. This level of accountability was appreciated, and it showed a commitment to customer satisfaction. While the overall experience had its positive aspects, this incident left me with a less than favorable impression. I hope that the restaurant can improve its attention to food quality to match the high standards they set in the areas.

Wir fanden's super. Hatten Kichererbsenmasala (mild, abgebildet) und Fischmasala (mittelscharf, war eher scharf). Team aufmerksam und freundlich, Portionen eher klein, Preise günstig. Ambiente modern :-)

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Auswahl, nicht kitschig überladen. Wir waren mit unseren indischen Freunden (Südindien) dort, die unbedingt mit uns da hin wollten und wir waren alle begeistert. Es ist wirklich nicht scharf, manche Gerichte für den deutschen Gaumen vielleicht ein bisschen, ist ja Geschmackssache. Leckeres Paratha, Dosas und superleckere Chutneys. Vielen Dank für das Geschmackserlebnis!!

The food is really good and perfectly balanced. The 2 waiters are nice and smiley. I highly recommend this place.

We ordered special chicken curry and chicken chitenad curry, both came with white rice that were not nice. The curries were bland and had no authentic taste. Surprisingly, both the curries tasted alike. We also ordered chapati and parotta. Chapati was unevenly cooked however, the parotta was really delicious. I don’t think I’ll ever visit the place again. Tasteless food, terrible service( just one waiter who doesn’t even record your order so ends up forgetting) and not worth the price.
