According to the reviews, this place should be quite good - unfortunately this is anything but a restaurant: tables and chairs have the character of a snack bar. After we received the menu, the big thing happened - we were allowed to record and write down our selection - I've never experienced that before! The employees are 'running' - YES, running through the store. Both the cook and the boss were completely overwhelmed. Some of the food sits abandoned on the counter for a long time. Basically the food was good, unfortunately it didn't quite suit us. Ambience very disappointed. It's a shame - with a little order and a little more staff, there's certainly potential.

We often go there at lunchtime because our canteen doesn't offer as good food as Golden Rice. The food comes quickly and is always delicious and plentiful no matter what you take. My favorite is M18. ;-)

It's only a five-minute walk from Naturkunde museum. I really like the avocado lassi inside, which has a strong coco flavor!

Great recommendation, tastes very good, lunch menu is very variable from sushi menu to real dishes with rice or noodles from 10 euros. In the evening you can meet friends in the beautiful atmosphere inside the restaurant and have a good meal. Always served very nicely. The staff is always friendly.

Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante prendendo dei noodles che erano freddi (non tiepidi) conditi in una salsa agli arachidi con 4/5 pezzetti di pollo fritti buttati di lato, il sushi non era buono e i rotoli si aprivano da soli e il riso era tutto appallottolato. Abbiamo preso anche una brodo con carne ma era insapore. Per quello che costa, non poco, consiglio un ristorante di sushi serio.

The sushi menu 3 was very tasty and very filling in combination with good edamame. A dish was forgotten, but it was delivered immediately after request, but I can ignore that because of the excellent food. All in all a very good and recommended restaurant. Das Golden Rice ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant .Hier bekommt man sehr gute Qualität serviert und das zu einem vernünftigen Preis.

Place is nice, staff is friendly, the location is very big inside. Vietnamese iced coffees were amazing. Summer rolls were fresh and gyoza was good. Portions were good size. You can sit outside. Payment with card.

Not sure what's going on with the staff. The lady who has worked her for many years, so much freaking attitude. I've been coming to this restaurant for years. Seriously, you want to give attitude for a customer of 8 years? For what? Any way, it is the last time I come here.

Waiter was more interested in his phone than service. Half of the order for our table arrived so we couldn't enjoy the meal all together. After 20mn we went to ask what was the problem and if we could get the rest of the food and he didn't say a word and went tot the kitchen to bring the plates that had been seating there and were now cold. The food was at most average and not cheap for what it was.

Good food at a reasonable price

The most ridiculous wait for food I’ve had and the restaurant was not very busy. The food was just ok when it got there. Each person in our party ate alone as it took 20 minutes for each of our entrees to arrive, individually. The servers did not seem to think this was a big deal until they brought the last item -a simple avocado role for the 9 year old who was by then quite hungry and grumpy. We were there for two hours and did not enjoy the experience.

Had dinner there on a Friday evening. It wasn't too busy and you were served straight away. Ordered a few dishes, all of which the nice waitress had memorized and didn't write anything down (about 10 dishes). At first we were skeptical as to whether everything we ordered would arrive. After a short wait, the dishes arrived and everything ordered was there. The food was very tasty and the fish was of good quality. All in all, highly recommended and worth the experience.

We went to Golden Rice two evenings in a row because the food is simply first class. Rarely have I had such good duck. The sushi was fresh and simply delicious. The employees are friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys eating sushi.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We went to eat there because it was close to the hotel and when they served our food, a cockroach came out of the napkin. On top of that, they didn't even offer us an apology, and the worst part was that when they brought the bill, they asked for a tip. 🤮🤢

1 hour 30 minutes for a mineral water. Nothing happened in the first 30 minutes. On my own initiative, I asked a waitress to come to my table. Food and drinks were included. After another 20 minutes the bottle of mineral water arrived and... After an hour and a half, I went to the restaurant to see the waitress who took my order, paid for my mineral water and told her that I was no longer willing to wait for my food. Sushi very normal quality, the noodles with very little quality and cold plate, and they put salad to fill the plate so that it seems that there is more quantity. We ordered a small drink and they gave me a large one and they charged me for it. To not repeat.

Pretty big Asian restaurant on Chausseestrasse. Everything is fresh and incredibly tasty, except for the occasional lettuce leaf. There needs to be better washing and sorting. Otherwise: dream.

I got sushi and gyoza there this week and when I opened the box with the food I found a dead maggot. When I returned to the restaurant and asked the staff about it, they told me that it was a bean sprout and that I could eat the food or that they could prepare it for me again if I wanted. However, I didn't want to eat there anymore and asked for my money back. This was refused. I think it's the wrong way to treat your customers, especially if there's a maggot in the food. Because for me that is an indication of a lack of hygiene in the kitchen.

Enough for a quick meal during the lunch break, nothing more.

Went there for lunch with a friend. Our food was average, expected more from this place. Also, when I asked for tap water the waiter said they don't have tap water. Wow :)))

Food was ok and a lot (had a pho). Would usually give more stars, but the restaurant removed my original 3* review accusing me of "not being a customer" which I consider one star worthy.

Anyone who loves Asian cuisine will quickly realize that the food has NOTHING to do with authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The “Hanoi Curry” I ordered consisted entirely of vegetables that were absolutely overcooked and chopped into strangely misshapen pieces. And in huge quantities. The fried chicken was OK.

We felt this was low-quality Asian food. The crispy duck was more like deep-fried small pieces of chicken with bones. When the poor quality was mentioned to the staff, they just replied ”oh, sorry” and did nothing else. One would expect a follow-up question, maybe an apology and perhaps a discount. Maki rolls were OK but way too big. I cannot recommend this restaurant and I have even received a formal complaint to my review through Google(!). Therefore lowering Service to 1/5.

When we entered the restaurant we were assigned a table straight away. However, the waitress took quite a long time before we could order the food. The food was good so far, nothing exceptional. We had to go to the waitress to pay because she didn't come to our table after waving. All in all: you have to expect long waiting times (even though there isn't that much going on), food is ok.
