Golden Rice Mitte in Berlin

We were here on Monday for lunch, just the two of us, and arrived at 11:30 am, the first ones in the restaurant. While our order was taken and drinks were served, our food never arrived. Around noon, the restaurant filled up, and other guests received their food before us. Even after asking several times, our food still hadn't come. After an hour, the restaurant was packed, and everyone around us had received their food. Due to other appointments, we canceled our order and paid for our drinks. We weren't even refunded for them. In short: The staff should have noticed something was missing, especially after our multiple inquiries, and should have taken action. Refunding the drinks would have been the least they could do. It seems to be one of those typical places in central Berlin that only caters to tourists who only visit once and don't care about customer satisfaction. As a Berliner, I certainly won't be going there again.

I went there for lunch and had the Hanoi curry – very tasty, not too spicy, just right. Whenever I'm in Berlin, I like to stop by Golden Rice. Definitely recommended!

The restaurant is located directly opposite the Riu Plaza Hotel, very convenient! We had two appetizers (summer rolls with tempura shrimp and gyoza) and main courses: rice with crispy duck and avocado curry sauce, and Chinese noodles with yellow curry and also crispy duck. It was very tasty and highly recommended.

Exceptional food with a price tag, which is worth it. if you want to taste common Vietnamese food but with a certain extra , u will not be disappointed!

Today I had dinner here with my girlfriend. At first glance, the restaurant seems large, quiet, and a bit dark. But the food was delicious and fresh. I had rice noodles with curry sauce and crispy duck, and my girlfriend had the beef set menu. The portions were really generous, and the value for money is great. Plus, the service is excellent and friendly.

The food was okay. Nothing special. Yellow curry with rice noodles, and I was a bit impressed. Everything was very simply done. Neotaste doesn't work as it should in this shop. I had to pay full price for the dish.

So: the service here is quite friendly, the workers are Asian, which is very pleasing and you feel the whole atmosphere of Asia, also, they understand English easily, but here it is not a problem. Quite a large room, everything is in the style of wood hi-tech. The presence of orchids on all the windowsills is very pleasing. The prices are average, beer is mostly 6€. There is also an outside terrace. The usual sushi is not bad, small in size. Gyoza is also small in size, served with sweet and sour chili sauce. The only thing I would pay attention to is that it is a little stuffy in the room and there are no napkins and pepper with salt. I give 4.5 out of 5 points. I recommend visiting.

It’s quite a big place with some standard asian food. Service was very friendly and also very fast. Had the curry with duck and it arrived very fast, which tell you some things about the food. It is good but not out of this world. I had difficulties with the menu because it is so extensive and makes it difficult to choose a dish. Otherwise prices are okay for the good portions.

Delicious and fresh food. Everything is freshly cooked, not your typical Chinese fare, but made with very fresh ingredients and plenty of vegetables. The portions are quite large. I was surprised by how large the salmon was with the noodles. Service is friendly and quick. The ambiance is also not typical of the Far East, but very modern. We'd be happy to come back when we're in Berlin.

I've been coming here again and again and have recommended it several times. Addendum: I ate there today with my husband for our wedding anniversary. It was amazing. The food was really very good. This time we had an appetizer platter for two. Highly recommended! Our next visit is already planned. We'll be going back then.

The stay at Golden Rice was, as always, simply great. The service couldn't be better, attentive, very friendly and quick. And I can't think of any improvement to the food. A delight for the eyes, nose and palate. It's a good thing that Golden Rice is quite a distance away for me. Otherwise I would probably go to my favorite restaurant at least twice a week. As a flower lover, I am also very impressed by the many flowering plants.

Came with my partner for an evening, the welcome and the service were top notch, the food excellent (the udon noodles and mango rice, a real treat). However, it's a shame that the music is not in the theme of the Asian restaurant.. We highly recommend and will come back if the opportunity presents itself!

The food is really poor. Instead of hand soap they have dish soap on the toillets to wash the hands. I ask for a bothle of water and they bring me a glass of water and charge me 4,50€ for a glass of water!

Large portions, the grilled duck was excellent. Super soft meat that melts in your mouth. MangoLassi not too sweet but very powerful, it takes away a lot of the starter :-) absolute recommendation!

The food was delicious, the portion was good too. I had an appetizer. Before I had finished eating them, the plate with the main course was put in front of me. I think that doesn't work at all. You're not in a fast food restaurant. Therefore 1 star deducted. I ordered the main course with chicken. I was expecting breast fillet, but was probably more triggered by the thigh or something similar. Unfortunately that's not my taste. But otherwise it was very tasty. Spicy but not too spicy. I find value for money reasonable.

Had to go to Berlin twice and ate here both times. Once in the evening and once at midday. There was nothing going on in the evening, but the waiter and the kitchen put a lot of effort into it and it was incredibly tasty. Personally, I fell in love with Seitan sushi. The second time there was a lot going on, plus a few renovations. Despite the hectic pace, we were served quickly and the food was again very tasty. The portions are very good, so the rest was taken home and eaten there later -> With the sushi you could tell that it was freshly made in the store, but it still tasted delicious a few hours later.
