Golden Rice 2 in Berlin

Not recommended at all!!! The food was almost inedible. The wonton had no filling and was incredibly hard to bite, the meat was unseasoned, the dish was oversalted and yet tasteless. Food prepared "without love." And overpriced to boot. €16.90 for one dish, €6 for a beer. In total, we paid €80 for a simple, inedible meal.

We have had sushi here twice. Very delicious and fresh products. Incredibly beautifully presented and fast service. The staff is very smiling and friendly. Best recommendations from here.

I was really disappointed with this place and can't recommend it in any way. We were the first guests of the evening and yet they were so stressed that we ordered the wrong thing, drinks were missing, cutlery was missing, the staff could barely understand German.

This place is an absolute freak show. Rude staff, we had to clear our own plates to get them packed, terrible music... And to top it all off: the waitress brought us the wrong sushi menu (which we didn't notice) and we ended up having to pay a whole €10 (!) extra!! If I could give negative stars here, I would.

The pho was very greasy and didn't taste authentic (it had no flavor at all), the vegetables were practically raw and there were strange, small black bits floating in it. The service was unhelpful and slow.

It is nice when you get good food without much fanfare. The options are good. And so are the portions. Just wish the server was a bit more attentive. Considering there wasn't heavy crowds to keep him busy.

I ordered a sashimi mix consisting of 5 slices of salmon and 5 of tuna on a seetang salad. The seetang didn't arrive and I had to ask for it, so they gave me a regular salad with seetang on top. The sashimi slices, however, were 4 of each type and not 5. When I reported it, they blamed my boyfriend; they said he ate them 🤣 They were arranged in the shape of a rose and I broke them up! And for this milestone dish, I waited over 30 minutes even though I had specifically asked for it to arrive with my boyfriend's appetizer. Too bad, I won't be back.

The food was quite good and tasty. The entire service, unfortunately, was abysmal. We first went to the deserted, affiliated vegan restaurant next door. Nobody was there. We got a table at Golden Rice, but the server was so busy that after about 15 minutes we had to get the menu ourselves. It took a while again before a colleague took our orders. Drinks arrived quickly. An unordered appetizer was delivered. We took it as a nice gesture because of the long wait. Then only one of our two dishes arrived, and it was clearly the wrong one. We had to awkwardly explain the missing second dish. I just took the incorrect first dish to speed things up. There wasn't enough cutlery, and no napkins at all. Then came the surprise when we paid – over €50, and the waiter loudly and agitatedly berated me for not including appetizers, even though they had made a mistake. That was the last straw; I've experienced much better service elsewhere in Berlin.

He was simply disrespectful. He wanted to take the order from the counter; the guy was overwhelmed with his life, and when he said after the sushi order that he didn't have time for sushi, that it was too busy, I simply got up. You should avoid places like that; they're so disrespectful.

Eating here was a true delight! We ordered the set menu for three people, and it was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat there on Sunday, around 3 PM. We walked in and there wasn't a single customer, and the man behind the bar was SLEEPING🤣🤣🤣. He didn't respond to our greeting, so we decided not to disturb him. We'll come back another time :) It's very nice and charming inside.

Our visit was a huge disappointment. It had an unpleasant toilet smell, the rolls were falling apart, and the tuna looked old and dry. Despite having a discount book, we were denied a discount because the employee said the system didn't allow changes. Unfortunately, the service and the food were very poor.

The first customers in an otherwise empty restaurant, which had good reviews and it was between lunch and dinner time so gave it a shot. Food was pretty decent, but staff ended up being not friendly and welcoming at all. Which would have been overlooked had they not reacted so badly at the end of the meal, after informing them they got one of the items wrong. They had not visited our table the entire meal to tell them earlier, and we were blocked by a huge column so could not get their attention, so we told them on payment because we had to go up to the cash desk anyway. Refused to accept he had made a mistake getting the number wrong, even though it was an entirely different product which we don’t personally eat so would never of ordered. Even if he disagreed, the way the situation was handled was terrible and frankly rude, so we’ve left with a bit of a sour taste with what was otherwise good food.

We were the first guests in the restaurant and decided to give it a try anyway. Our orders were taken quickly, which was a positive start. Unfortunately, the women’s bathroom wasn’t clean and had an unpleasant smell, even though we were the only ones there at the time. When the food arrived, one of the dishes was wrong. Since we were seated behind a column and couldn’t see the staff, we decided to wait until someone came to check on us. However, no one returned to our table, even after other guests arrived, and our attempts to get the staff’s attention went unnoticed. At the end, we went to the front desk to pay and returned the incorrect dish, explaining the mistake. Instead of acknowledging it, the waiter became angry and repeatedly insisted that we had given him the wrong meal number. This was definitely not the case, as I’m vegetarian and would never have ordered that dish. Still, he blamed us and became increasingly rude. Eventually, he removed the meal from the bill but added, “Next time I won’t.” While the food itself was fine, the service left a very negative impression. Because of this experience, we won’t be returning.

I stopped by for dinner since it was just around the corner from my hotel, and it didn’t disappoint. The Singapore-style flying noodles were outstanding, and the crisp Saigon beer was the perfect match.

The lunch menu was great, especially in terms of value for money :) The service was also very friendly. The food could have been a bit hotter for my taste. But overall, I'd be happy to go back!

Food mediocre, no vouchers accepted🤨

Near the hotel, we were probably a little early and found a deserted restaurant, the lights on but no one there...shortly afterward, someone came out of the kitchen area and we were allowed to sit down, with other guests following...the food was exceptionally good and tasty, both the sushi and the other two dishes. All in all, I would recommend it, even if the first impression wasn't the best.

Extremely unfriendly attitude! You ask for a menu, and if you want a glass of tap water, you're treated ridiculously and rudely. I live in the neighborhood, and I will NEVER take any of my visitors there, nor will I recommend it to anyone! It's your own fault!

Unfortunately, we were truly disappointed. The delivery arrived in a complete mess – nothing was properly sorted or attractively packaged. The sushi itself tasted far below what we expected, especially at this price point. This pile of misery cost us almost 30 euros. Overall, it was one of the worst sushi experiences we've had so far. Definitely not worth repeating.

Expensive. 25 euros for 10 sushi rolls, including 2 surimi rolls. Expensive. We were told it wasn't possible to eat sushi on the terrace. I don't know why. Too bad. Otherwise, the dining room is large and the service is fast (there weren't many people).

The service is abysmal. Uncoordinated and haphazard. Even waving and friendly shouting are skillfully ignored. Unfortunately, the food doesn't make up for it. Not again.

We were there for an early dinner on a Friday. We were able to choose our own seating, and there were plenty of them. There was a wide selection of dishes, including sushi and rolls. We ordered a set for two for around €65: on the upscale side, the food was quite tasty and fresh, and the staff were also very attentive despite the small staffing.

Extremely disappointing experience. I came in for a takeaway, and the staff member behind the counter was shockingly rude, with no basic communication skills, he just barked at me to sit down. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty — definitely not a busy time — he still managed to mess up the order by giving me meat instead of tofu. The food itself was just as bad: completely bland and clearly made with cheap, instant-style noodles. For the price, this was beyond unacceptable. It felt like a total rip-off. If I could give zero stars, I would.

We wanted to go out for dinner in the evening and chose this restaurant. The two of us had a large appetizer, which was delicious. It included a spring roll, a summer roll, and various specialties. It was good. Afterward, I had chicken with fragrant rice and other ingredients.

Delicious food, unfortunately the mango dishes save too much on the mangoes, which is a real shame. Smoothies ok, the selection could be better. You can eat here almost around the clock, which is very convenient, also very easy to get to.

We chose the restaurant based on the reviews and the location opposite our hotel. It was smaller than I suspected based on what I said. It was a bit cold. We were there early in the evening on Saturday and got a table without any problems. The selection is gigantic, everyone should find what they are looking for here. We were completely satisfied. The service was sometimes not present. Still a good recommendation.

9pm I'm a Tuesday night and no other customers than me. Food has a great range of fusion oriental food choices. Pricing was a bit much, presentation was wonderful, tasting of sushi could have been less wet. You know, when the seaweed is too moist.

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, as it was right across the street from our hotel. I absolutely recommend it! The gentle scent of incense greets you (not overpowering or overpowering, just a light one). The ambiance is stylishly clean and cozy at the same time. And the service is super friendly! We'd be happy to go back anytime!

There are nicer waitresses and better food. We had a voucher from Schlemmerblock that we couldn't redeem because we didn't let us know in advance. Instead of coming towards us, we were hissed at to calm down and not make such a scene and just use it next time. No thanks !!! Just a rip off just don't go there.

The atmosphere was very nice. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rest of the restaurant. The food was not tasty at all, our order wasn't served as requested (first an appetizer for two, then the main course), and the waiter barely spoke German and even less English. All in all, we arrived ravenously hungry and left even more so. A quick tip: the green tea doesn't really taste like good green tea. If you want an Asian experience, go to your local Asian restaurant.

If you're in the neighbourhood then do yourself a favour and eat here. Those who say it's over-priced or the staff rude are lying!!! Everything's cooked to perfection with fresh ingretients and the food simply makes you want for more. The interior is incredibly cosy and the staff is very friendly, polite and helpfull.

Cuando llamé la atención del servidor, esperaba al menos una disculpa y que el artículo se eliminara de la factura. Sin embargo, el camarero se negó, argumentando que notamos el problema demasiado tarde. Este tipo de actitud hacia la seguridad alimentaria y el servicio al cliente es inaceptable. Para empeorar las cosas, el baño tenía un olor terrible, lo que hizo que la experiencia gastronómica general fuera aún más desagradable. No puedo recomendar este lugar y recomiendo encarecidamente a la dirección que tome más en serio tanto la seguridad alimentaria como la higiene.

We were just at Golden Rice at Ku'Damm, on a friendly recommendation from Schlemmerblock 2024, which lured us with a 2 for 1 main course. Remove the voucher, reserve it and off you go. In the restaurant they were very unfriendly and loud, meaning: That's not valid. We need the book for this. This could also be done yourself. (Although the arrival line was clearly visible and they had another redeemed voucher from the same day on hand, which could have been wonderfully compared.) What an unnecessary and unpleasant discussion at the dinner table, because it's about €16, with a bill of almost €100 + tip between two people. Thanks for nothing. Unfortunately, our main courses were brought directly with the starter platter, which is why they could only be eaten cold. We haven't said anything else, it didn't help anyway. A completely wrong main course was then charged on the bill (instead of €16, it was €22, so again a careless error, to our detriment). All in all, a very unfriendly way of serving customers. We won't be coming back and can't recommend the restaurant, even if the food was, or at least can be, quite good.

Very tasty food. Service could have been a little more attentive, as we were there late in the evening and there were hardly any guests sitting. And the toilets weren't quite as clean as one would have liked. All in all, it was great, so we would come again.

Accidental discovery. Searching the hotel area for dinner in the pouring rain. The ambience isn't really my thing and since it was pretty empty, it wasn't really inviting either. But the ambience - at least everything was clean - wasn't that important to my hunger. However, the meal, various vegetables with a salmon steak and fragrant rice, was prepared quickly and perfectly. Service impeccable and friendly, toilets in immaculate condition. A very clear recommendation that I will keep in mind for my next stay.

The food was pretty salty. When we reported this, the attentive staff served us some vegetables and a small bowl of clear soup for free. That was very friendly. What was irritating, however, was that the staff ate their own lunch just three tables away. I only know that from fast food places. Overall, I can say that the food was disappointing compared to so many other Asian restaurants in Berlin, especially considering the price. We had this for significantly less money but MUCH tastier. The ambience wasn't that great either. How can you play such stupid music? A subtle Asian folklore would have been appropriate. But such a monotonous, stupid pop music compilation of the most subterranean quality? Also very unpleasant when a second music can be heard from the kitchen. The tones mix like at a fair. The toilet was clean, but smelled extremely unpleasant.

I quickly had a stomach ache from the food. Overall, it tasted like a lot of curry mixture and few fresh ingredients. Poor value for money. My friend had a household gum in her meal and no discount was given for this. Ambience non-existent, not very comfortable and cold.

Don’t bother with this restaurant. Very rude service. I had my doubts from the beginning about this restaurant. Despite speaking fluent German the waiters didn‘t respond to my German at all. Food was ok. Nothing to shout about. We decided to pay separately and their payment machine kept having internet issues meaning my payment didn’t come through on their machine but came out of my bank account but due to roaming issues my payment didn’t display on my account transactions.. All other friends paid but my food „remained“ unpaid. I checked my account obviously but it didn’t display as paid so I paid again. When I came back to hotel two transactions displayed as paid. So I ended up paying twice for the same food. I spoke to others and they checked in front of me that the payment went out of their bank accounts. Went back to restaurant showed them proof of 2 payments but they didn’t care. They send me back to speak to my friends. Feel really robbed! Terrible experience to end my Berlin trip

Das schlechteste Sushi, das ich je in Berlin erlebt habe. Die frittierten Sushi-Gerichte riechen nach altem, ranzigem Öl und haben eine gummiartige Konsistenz. Die Sojasauce ist extrem salzig und schmeckt ebenfalls abgestanden – so etwas habe ich in meinem Leben noch nie zuvor erlebt. Der Reis in den Sushi-Rollen ist von minderer Qualität und kann beim Kauen sogar zu Zahnproblemen führen. Es ist nicht nur geschmacklich ungenießbar, sondern auch gesundheitlich bedenklich. Dieser Laden sollte dringend einer Gesundheitskontrolle unterzogen werden und besser schließen. Ich kann nur eindringlich davon abraten, hier einzukehren.

A case of the Google reviews trap. The ambience isn't great but it's also irrelevant. The sushi is absolutely average, especially since the butterfish simply wasn't there; we noticed that there was no mention of it. The service is underground! Drinks only came 20 minutes later when asked, the food was already there, the waitress didn't understand the food requests and was completely inattentive. Too bad…..

Nice restaurant, we had reservations, but we had to find a place somewhere. Service very attentive at the beginning, as the restaurant filled up we had to remember our order. This can happen when there is a lot going on, but a lot of people paid at the counter because no one came to the table. The food we ordered was very tasty and came quickly. Big plus for that and we'll be happy to come back for that. Unfortunately the toilets seem to be getting old... But other than that, very nice.

We were given a dirty, sticky table. We had to speak to 2 employees to get the table wiped down. The food was good but average. It took over an hour before we could eat. Unfortunately no waitress came near to order drinks or dessert. The atmosphere seems narrow and dark. I hit my head hard on a huge frame on the wall that juts into the seating area. We left the restaurant disappointed.

The restaurant is relatively quiet and yet in a central location, with the possibility of sitting outside, although the outside seating is rather bland. The selection of dishes corresponds to the usual and common options. Delicious cocktails with or without alcohol. The summer rolls were very tasty. Good value for money. Attentive and friendly service could be more attentive.
