Food was quite good, unfortunately the order was different than what came to the table. I accepted this in order to eat together. Unfortunately, the dishes at the table were also swapped, which was a problem with very spicy versus peanut sauce... Otherwise okay, not outstanding but OK so far

Very good price-performance ratio. There were four of us eating. Three of us had plain rice, one had fried rice. Plus curry. At the beginning, the three of us were served a large bowl that was relatively drafty and empty. Rice was brought to us again at no additional cost. We were also given three different dips with several slices of bread, which was similar to salted crispbread with caraway seeds. The plates for the main course came to the table warmed up and the rest came relatively quickly too. We ordered curry with the rice. With duck, lamb and chicken. The meat was tender and the flavor was well balanced. The quantity was completely sufficient for us. I would recommend the restaurant and would also like to come back myself.

We came here because of the good reviews, but unfortunately the visit turned out to be a complete failure. Let's start with the positive: The food was really great. Unfortunately, that was it. Now for the negative: The service is an absolute disaster. We sat for a good 20 minutes until someone came to take the order. Meanwhile, a couple had sat down at the next table, but they were then moved to make room for a guest. As already mentioned, this (apparently regular) guest arrived a good 20 minutes after us. The cards had been brought to us up to this point, but after that no one came to take the order. At some point our order was taken. A short time later, the regular guest in question already had his food on the table, even though he was there later than us. I was impressed by the portion on the next table, it was very large, but we realized shortly afterwards that the portions apparently only apply to regular guests. At some point my food arrived (I thought), 2 minutes later the food was taken from the table in front of me on the grounds that it was the wrong one. It is not too bad. Two bowls of rice were then served with my (wrong) dish, but two minutes later a waiter took a bowl of rice from our table without comment (!!!) and was served two tables away. The remaining bowl of rice was definitely only for one person, even though there were two of us! When I asked if there was no rice with my colleague's dish, the waitress only replied that she would ask. We are still waiting for an answer today! For 2 people the amount of rice was definitely a joke. Due to the poor service and the long waiting time, we didn't leave a tip. The folder where you put the money was then slammed onto the table with the change by the supposed boss and he retreated offended. Conclusion: Service: 0 stars Food: 4 stars The food was really tasty, but unfortunately the service was worse than bad! Even if the owner is probably making fun of my bad review again (like some of the previous reviews), that doesn't deter me from sharing my experience. I will only order a maximum of Essen 2 Go here. It's a shame, because the food definitely has potential, but unfortunately the service was an absolute disaster!

Very tasty food. Very courteous service. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere. All around successful restaurant. We would be happy to come back and recommend the Goa Curry.

The service and the atmosphere is very good. Especially, the evening sunset improves the ambience. The mixed appetizer was very tasty as well with samosas and different pakoras. The main courses kofta and the paneer dish was tasty as well. But the breads (rotis) were very thick and didn't taste that good. Even the Palao rice that we ordered just had just too much of peas in it and was tasteless. The food contained too much of baking soda.

Nice little Indian restaurant with delicious Indian dishes, we enjoyed it very well, especially a good spiciness with the Greeks, not too much but not too little either. We'll be back soon.

Absolute world class Indian cuisine!!!

My only critique would be my dish was slightly oversalted and slightly under spiced. Everything else was phenomenal. Lovely, fluffy garlic naan, nice basmati rice, and possibly the tenderest lamb I've ever had. I also treated myself to a beer and mango kulfi. I highly recommend the kulfi. Add to this the best service I've had in Germany and I'm in heaven. Ignore the couple of negative reviews, this place is one of the best. If I didn't live on the other side of the planet I'd be back very soon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice service and delicious food in a family atmosphere

It was my first visit to "Goa Curry". The store is quite small and when I visited during the week there were only a few spaces left. A reservation definitely makes sense here! Since the guest room only consists of 1 large room, the noise level is quite high. The tables are pretty close to each other, which makes the whole thing even more impressive. We were welcomed very warmly and extremely friendly by the staff!! I would definitely like to emphasize this here because I felt well looked after throughout the evening. There were three of us and I tried all the different dishes. Everything was delicious and I can highly recommend it! We also had the lentil waffles with the different dips, which also tasted good. All in all, I can highly recommend the Goa Curry!

Once again in Goa, still impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the very good food and the acceptable prices.

How times change... I'm super disappointed with the reaction because we've canceled a table in time once in 10 years... I'll never go there again... It can happen that quickly... There are plenty of other equivalent restaurants ... We have known Goa Curry and the lovely family that runs this restaurant since its early beginnings. We went there to eat almost twice a week for a very long time and always recommended it to our friends and relatives and still do today. Admittedly, after the renovation some time ago, the rooms have lost some of their original charm, but you can still feel the love and authenticity with which the dishes are prepared. We used to know practically every restaurant, pizzaria, snack bar and burger joint and ate there too - the Goa Curry is still my favorite to this day. It's worth a visit, just convince yourself of the location, the food and the great people, nothing is fake, nothing is fake, they are always friendly, nice and accommodating. We always spend a very nice and pleasant time there.

We have tried chicken Korma and chicken vandaloo. Chicken korma was good. Chicken Vandaloo was awful. I Suspect they used the the store brought vandaloo curry paste and pour a ton of chilly on it.

We accidentally found this place . But Exceptional food and service! One of the best indian Restaurant if not one of the best Restaurant in Germany! The staff is extremely caring and really great service skills. And the food is brilliant! The biriyani and butter chicken was flawless . Taste is truly authentic so job well done chefs! Atmosphere was also great and highly recommended for anyone looking for a good indian food out there. Coming back there for sure! Only down side is parking other than that everything is perfect!

Disappointing experience due to overly salty food and unresponsive service. Despite requesting a replacement, our concerns were not addressed. Would hesitate to recommend. My Reply: Well, at least you agree it was salty now. The portion we gave you to check was almost 3/4 full. Maybe someone should taste it before claiming it's too salty,, My bad!!! As for the free food, hahaha, We paid you for your "free salt." We are students and want to spend a peaceful evening. So didn't wanna fight with you there. Ended up wasting the rest of the food. This is just a reminder for everyone to check everything before eating, or You might end up being tagged as "free food guys," too.

This restaurant is very centrally located and easily accessible. The ambience of the restaurant is good. I have been here quite a few times and really enjoy the food. Great options for Indians especially. I have tried 1) Mango lassi which is amazing 2) Samosas which I wouldn’t recommend I felt it wasn’t fresh 3) Biryani which I liked but you will have pay separately for raita 4) Roti and curry I have like almost all the curries that I have tried here. I recommend you to try this place once if you like Indian food.

We ordered two dishes; Duck Curry for my wife and Chicken Vindaloo for myself. With that one garlic and a coconut naan. My dish was spicy. I absolutely love spicy food - and the cook delivered! I never ordered this dish before. But from now on, it will be in my top three dishes in de Indian kitchen. The chicken was butter soft and the taste... All the spices where present in the exact right amount. My wife said her dish was delicious. The duck was very tasty and soft. She is the one who is always sceptical about certain spices in food. But this time she was sold. Compliments to the chef. And much thanks to the waiters. The where helpful and very polite. Untill next time.

Ich war bereits zum 2ten mal in diesem Laden und es schmeckt wirklich gut. Das Essen ist authentisch und frisch. Die Vorspeisen wie das Garlic Naan und das Lamm Masala sind meine favorisierte Wahl. Zu allen Hauptspeisen kriegt man zudem auch Reis (man wird aufjedenfall satt). Das einzige was zu bemängeln hatte, ist das Erbeer Lassi Getränk mit einem sehr süßen-künstlichen Geschmack. Dahingegen war das Mango Lassi deutlich besser. Das Ambiente ist ganz einfach gehalten und der Service war wirklich top, obwohl es wirklich sehr voll war als wir da waren. Im großen und ganzen kann Ich jedem der die indische Küche probieren möchte diesen Laden empfehlen :)

Das Essen war sehr zügig am Tisch und wirklich lecker. ABER unmöglich empfanden wir es, dass wir beim Eintritt ins Restaurant gesagt bekamen, dass wir 2 Std. Zeit hätten. Nach 1,5 Std. legte man uns kommentarlos und unfreundlich die Rechnung auf den Tisch. Nachdem der wohlmögliche Chef(?) merkte, dass wir negativ überrascht waren, meinte er nur, die nachfolgenden Gäste wären da. Wir könnten ja an einen anderen Tisch wechseln und noch weitere Getränke bestellen. Gehts noch? Nein danke und schade!

Beautiful place and the staff were super nice, immediately on hand to assist with any requirements we needed. Unfortunately on this occasion the food did not match the 5 star service. The onion bhaji we has smelt like it had been fried on old oil and the curry did not seem like a traditional chicken tikka masala, it lacked the creaminess, this coupled with the fact that it was definitly oversalted ruined the experience for me so I can only give 4 stars. This may have been a one off experience as the place seemed to be busy through the evening.

We had not made a reservation but the friendly team found a table for 5. The food was fantastic and the authentic tastes superb.

特别好奇的一件事，这家店到底是可乐可以续杯还是又给我点了一杯可乐？希望是前者。服务员看见我杯子里可乐没了问了两句就又端了一杯，最后账单也没写。因为挺好吃所以写个评价。店里有股特别香的食物味道，到底是啥现在也没搞清。按照印度朋友推荐的点的。第一个甜点一般，像芒果奶昔加了冰淇淋，还有奇怪的调料味。第二个叫chilli chicken好像，超级辣，酸甜味道也压不住的那种辣。里面鸡肉是炸过的，感觉像在吃咕咾肉。第三个是油炸的，里面土豆和肉都没什么味道，感觉像在啃炸土豆似的。不敢多吃，吃一个之后就吃不下饭了。

Es ist zwar nicht ganz fair aber wir vergleichen einfach mal 2 Gerichte aus völlig unterschiedlichen Ländern. Gestern waren wir vitnamesisch Essen. Das war für uns eine glatte eins. Heute nun Indisch. Das bekommt die Note 2. Wir hatten zwei unterschiedliche Vorspeisen (Suppe und Teigtaschen). Das war lecker. Dann 2 unterschiedliche vegetarische Hauptspeisen. Auch beide gut. Jedoch schmeckt uns vitnamesisch einfach von den Gewürzen besser . Trotzdem empfehlenswert. Ambiente ist okay. Männliche Bedienung (wir vermuten Chef) hätte etwas aufmerksamer und freundlicher sein können.

Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut. Bedienungen waren durch die Bank sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Preis/Leistung ist ebenfalls top. Sollten wir noch einmal in Paderborn sein, kommen wir auf jeden Fall wieder. 5 Sterne

Das Essen ist super lecker, die Wartezeit kurz und die Bedienungen nett. Jedoch haben wir vorher reserviert und uns einen Fensterplatz gewünscht. Trotz Bejahung, dass dies möglich ist, saßen wir letztendlich doch woanders. Daher ein Stern Abzug.

During my last business trip in Paderborn, my colleagues and I wanted to try something different than German cuisine so we picked Indian. Goa Curry looks nice from outside, there is a big beer garden. Inside you can feel Indian style - kitschy style :) I was twice in Mumbai so I know how tasty is Indian food. As for starter we were thinking about some samosa but then we found out that you can order a mix - mix starter or grilled starter. It's really worth! You can taste all starters packed together. As for drinks there are German beers of course but many congratz for Indian (or better to say UK...) Kingfisher! For main food we ordered mainly chicken tikka masala, naan and some other food which I don't remember. It was good, it was tasty but it wasn't perfect. I was in some Indian restaurants in Poland as well and it was much closer to true Indian than Goa Curry. Probably for someone who wasn't in India, it won't be even recognized. As I said, food was good, food was tasty. Waiter was very friendly, knew English well. Split payment allowed as well as credit cards (even Revolut). Do I recommend? Of course !

This is a nice place where you can have dinner outside. It was 30 celsius when I was in Paderborn, so that was nice. I ordered straight forward lamb curry with saag paneer. The lamb was very, really very good, but you had to look between the linces. Really that could be better. The cheese in the paneer was not very tasty, but I appreciate that in Paderborn it will be a hard job to have the right ingredients. Service was attentive and friendly. Please note that within a minute you order you will have your dishes served! I had a large beer and in total the bill of eur 27 was value for money.
