Very good food and good service. Had eaten there several times and was always at peace. Price performance is right.

Very tasty Indian food. The food has very large portions both on site and for delivery. The food is always hot/warm in the restaurant. If it is delivered, the food is usually warm. Overall, the price is right for the quality and taste you get.

Service is just a bit weak and you are left alone, which is a good thing if you are very thirsty. Delicious

Unbelievably bad. 2 hours waiting time for my order. Paid 26€. The driver doesn't want to take me to the door, calls me to come out!? And then the dessert is missing, which you paid €4.50 for!! Incredibly poor performance and NOT recommended.

In the evening, after the children were put to sleep, they had a craving for something new. Since I have always liked oriental food, I quickly persuaded my wife to try Indian food. She was rather skeptical. We then ordered a menu for 2. The starter (pakora) was a kind of vegetarian balls with curry and lots of chickpea paste. A taste explosion from the gentleman. The main course was masala chicken. My wife didn't want to share :( ...I had Jogan Rosh. The chicken was tender and delicious. Eating there again any time! I was only able to evaluate the ambience while waiting, which was quick. Just as Europeans imagine India :)

Well... The most disappointing thing was that we found a mosquito in our dip. That was really annoying. The service was really demotivated and unfriendly. He won't let us order the food as we didn't have cash. But we could have ordered and till the food is being prepared we could have got some money from the Sparkasse. The chicken we ordered was completely dry and hard to swallow. I would say that was the worst jalfrezi I ever ate. Completely tasteless. This restaurant is just overrated.

I just don't understand what's going on here. Years ago I ordered various chicken dishes. They were inedible and completely oversweetened. So bad that 5 people had to throw away 3/4 of their food. At the time I thought I might have made a mistake and confused sugar with salt, but it stuck with me so much that I couldn't forget it. Years later, exactly today, on the advice of friends, I and my family gave it another chance. And what can I say, it's just as bad as it was back then and the memories came flooding back. The chicken dishes, here it was tikka and butter chicken, were so sweet, just sugar sauce, that you couldn't eat them or you got a stomach ache. Impossible, if I had been there I would probably have thrown this stuff against the wall, I'm really just upset that I paid so much money for something like that. I still don't understand the positive reviews. Then as now it was simply a catastrophe. I won't go into the rest of the negative points of the courts, the one problem is more than enough. I will never order anything to eat there again and I will advise against eating there.

It's always a pleasure! Every dish so far has been delicious and prepared quickly every time. I'm always happy and can't wait to come back.

The best Indian food I have ever eaten. The menu for 2 people is really worth it. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for staff so we could pay.

We have already ordered there several times and eaten there. The service is super friendly and more than cooperative with difficulties and problems. We absolutely recommend the Tikka Masala Special. And if you like it sweet, you like duck mango. Simply delicious.

I ordered via Uber Eats, Food arrived fairly quickly but I was quite disappointed with it. I prefer to eat butter chicken at an Indian restaurant, which is what I ordered here too. Unfortunately, the taste wasn't even close to that of the other Indian places nearby. It's a shame, but the rice was good

Everything we ordered there was delicious, unfortunately the starter was cold. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Maggilassi, 1L ordered, got 0.75...

First of all this place is not an Indian restaurant. People from Bangladesh running this restaurant. Atmosphere was not. Food quality worst. They are serving supermarket naan, that too not fresh. Tables were also not clean. As per German Standard, this restaurant should not exist.

Worst ever restaurant. I don't know how his license is being renewed! We ordered lunch .. fried noodles , chicken tandoori and chicken gravy.i bet no one would even guess .. not even one dish was fit to eat. NOODLES were BURNT !! TANDOORI WAS JUST COLORED. I request all to stop visiting this restaurant and get his license cancelled. This is haram earnings by fooling people. USING INDIA NAME BUT A BANGLADESHI is actually spoiling our name and reputation. I DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE EVEN IN MY WORST DREAM! STAY AWAY!! THIS IS NOT INDIAN CUISINE!

Wir waren das zweite Mal jetzt da und kommen gerne wieder. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und das Personal freundlich. Auch wenn das Essen am Anfang wenig aussieht, wir sind mehr als satt immer rausgegangen. Keine Kartenzahlung möglich, nur Bar und so wie ich es von einer Abholerin mitbekommen habe diese konnte per PayPal bezahlt.

Ich habe dieses jahr für mich schon über ein dutzend mal bestellt und bin auch immer gerne bereit etwas mehr zu zahlen um dafür gutes Essen zu bekommen, aber dass ihr den Mindestbestellwert jetzt genau nochmal so anhebt dass meine Standardbestellung nicht mehr möglich ist und ich jetzt noch mehr bestellen muss was ich dann eh wegschmeiße, finde ich sehr blöd. Macht doch lieber das Essen selber nen euro teurer aber so find ich das blöd und sehr schade weil euer Essen sehr lecker ist und ich eigentlich gerne bei euch bestelle, aber so werde ich mir nun einen anderen Inder suchen müssen. Mich habt ihr als Stammkunden dadurch leider verloren.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Allerdings scheint der Laden hauptsächlich vom Bestellgeschäft zu leben. Das Raus und Rein des Fahrers trübt die Gemütlichkeit und auch die Servicequalität. Die beiden Kräfte waren permanent in der Küche beschäftigt. Nachdem ich 10 min vergeblich gewartet hatte, bin ich letztlich vorgegangen, um meine Rechnung zu bezahlen. Weihnachtsdeko im Mai in jedem Fenster wirkt nicht so einladend.

Ein toller Inder. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, man merkt das die Speisen total frisch sind. Ebenfalls ist das Personal super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Sprachlos war ich bei der schönen indischen Einrichtung. Ich kam mir vor als ob ich auf einer Indienreise wäre. Super schön. Ab jetzt werde ich hier öfter speisen.

Wir haben heute telefonisch bei Spice of India bestellt und das Essen abgeholt. Die Speisen waren zuhause noch heiß und sehr lecker, alle Sonderwünsche bzgl. der Schärfe wurden berücksichtigt. Das Restaurant macht einen gemütlichen Eindruck, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Preis/Leistung ist absolut in Ordnung. Wir werden garantiert weiter hier bestellen oder direkt vor Ort essen.

Umfangreiche Speisekarte. Sehr leckeres vegetarisches Essen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Der Cocktail war auch zu empfehlen! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist echt gut!

Hier ist die Atmosphäre sehr sehr schön, das Essen ist war aufjedenfall eine 10/10 ich kann nur jeden empfehlen hier hin zu kommen.💛

Ambiente hat nichts mit Indien zu tun was eventuell nicht schlimm währe, aber das Essen nicht mit indische Küche zur tun hat sollte einen zur bedenken geben.

We had a takeaway. We usually order from another Indian restaurant, but they were closed. I will try any restaurant once. I have done my once here & never again. It’s possibly the worst food we’ve had. Zero spice or taste. Naan was move pita than Naan. We all had indigestion.

Plenty of summer closed restaurants at this time of year, but this one was open. Serviceminded gentlemen had us seated and took our orders promptly. The usual selection of indian dishes, all reasonably priced at around 10-12 euros and the portions were quite big. We had chicken tikka masala, chicken korma and lamb roghan josh. Nanbread and rice also very good. Nice location, close to Ibis hotel where we stayed and the Dom. I’ve eaten at indianesque restaurants all my life (these guys I think may be Bengalis) and the food was on the upper part of the quality scale. Looking for good sized portions and good taste, they have nailed it. As a matte of spiceyness, my roghan josh was just perfect on the spicy scale. If we return to Paderborn, I’m sure we will come back here.

Einrichtung einfach und etwas kahl. Bedienung freundlich und zuvorkommend. Gerichte sind wunderbar gewürzt das Fleisch jedoch trotz Tandoorofen viel zu trocken und zäh wie Leder. An der Qualität des Fleisches muß man arbeiten .

Wir haben heute das erste Mal im "Spice of India" gegessen und waren angenehm überrascht. Unsere Erfahrungen mit indischem Essen sind zugegebenermaßen gering. Das Restaurant ist schön eingerichtet und überschaubar. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Es herrschte eine familiäre Atmosphäre. Das Essen (Chicken Tikka Masalla und Curry Chicken süß-sauer mit einer großen Portion Nanbrot) wurde zügig und ansprechend serviert. Die Menge war ausreichend. Während des Essens wurden sich mehrmals nach unserer Zufriedenheit erkundigt. Nach dem sehr guten Mahl gab es für jeden einen sehr leckeren Mango Lassi auf Kosten des Hauses. Rechnungsbetrag insgesamt 29€ (inkl. zwei Getränke). Wiederholungsgefahr: 100%

The Spice of India restaurant in Paderborn serves good Indian-style food, at a reasonable cost. I ordered the Lamm Rogan Josh, and put in a request for a spicy preparation. The dish turned out to be pretty good, although not wholly matching my expectations. The ambiance of this place is decent, albeit a little dark. In general, I would rate my experience as 6 on a scale of 10.
