Ginkgo in Frankfurt am Main

The food itself was okay, but the price-performance ratio was completely unjustified. The service was really bad; after we got our food, we weren't asked once if we wanted something else to drink. My drink, which I ordered at the beginning, simply didn't arrive, and the waitress was completely unfriendly and gave us strange looks. There are definitely better places.

Very tasty food. (Very) large portions that offer great value for money. Very good service. The only thing that is a bit borderline is the noise level in the restaurant, when it is very busy in the evenings.

The special ambience alone makes for a lovely evening. No matter who I was there with, everyone was thrilled. Small menu with excellent taste, for vegetarians as well as meat lovers ;)

The food is very good and the atmosphere is also very good, but the service is quite pushy when it comes to whether you want more drinks. Furthermore, if you reserve, you will be assigned seats that are quite narrow and you will sit squashed with other people. Other better seats are reserved but unoccupied all evening. If it's not busy and you haven't made a reservation, you can sit wherever you want, but you'll be told that there's actually a lot more going on.

Wir gehen sehr gerne zum Frühstücken ins Ginkgo. Auch das Essen ist sehr gut, vor allem mögen wir die Salate. Der Service ist auch sehr freundlich. Daumen hoch!

I've probably been going here for 15 years and I'm still completely satisfied. The location is right in the heart of Bornheim uff de Berger, you can sit outside here very nicely, but unfortunately you can't make a reservation yet. The staff is always very friendly and always tries to do everything for the guest. Since there are hardly any new staff here, you naturally build a bond, which I really like. By the way, the new dark-skinned waitress is also super friendly and personable. The food here is of consistently good quality and there are more and more vegan dishes (why are there no more vegan pancakes?), my absolute favorite is the salad with nuts and fried potatoes or the bean burger. The homemade lemonade is also very tasty. So I really enjoy going here and feel very well looked after here. That's why I always like to come back.

Nice place, very cozy, not loud, you can have a good conversation. Very tasty food and generous portions and very friendly staff. You feel very comfortable. The meal took a while. But that's certainly due to the quality... not a mass-produced product. All in all, highly recommended.

: I have been a regular customer at Ginko for 26 years and can't imagine a better place to spend a relaxing time. This cafe isn't just a place to eat - it's a home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food is to die for. The service is always warm, attentive and friendly, which gives me a real feeling of well-being. I particularly appreciate that my dog ​​is so welcome here. There are not only treats, but also extra dog blankets - just great! For me, Ginko is a place full of warmth where you feel completely safe.

Lamb shank and vegan chocolate mousse were very good craftsmanship. Price performance appropriate. It can't be more expensive, but it's not overpriced either. Service sometimes needs a bit of a push.

A classic on Berger Straße that I “rediscovered” for myself. The Gingko offers a varied, varied selection of breakfast, lunch and evening options and I think everyone will find something here. Whether it's a sourdough sandwich with avocado, pasta and salad or even delicious cakes. You can always find something in Gingko and it tastes good. On one of my last visits I had a salad with fried potatoes. Super delicious! The selection of cakes is always good too. The price is still reasonable. I'm just too stingy for juice spritzers that cost over €5, but that's just my opinion. The service is attentive without being intrusive. I would love to come back!

Nice shop with tasty and good quality food in the middle of the hustle and bustle (yesterday including a demo, guitar player, traffic) on Berger Str.. You have to want it, but it was a voluntary choice. Very good service, knows what she says and does. Wine prices are excessive.

The Gingko is actually unique on Berger Straße. The range of food on offer is very diverse and the cappucino is one of the best ever. In summer you can sit wonderfully in the outdoor restaurant and have a good view of the busy Berger Straße. All in all, a very relaxed location and the most important thing is that the staff always exudes a natural, good mood. My real recommendation!

Vegan? Get it. Not Vegan? Get in too!! Great food, prices and service. Sunday morning (has a Vegan/Non Vegan couple), we came by and had a great breakfast. As usual big portions, but with high quality and homemade style. No so usual (unfortunately) The DO speak solid English here, and take card (its not cash only as in most places). Pet friendly too!! Will return on our Next trip here.

Always delicious. The cakes are great too. Luckily I don't care about the ingredients or whether it's "vegan" or not, but it seems to interest a lot of guests... If I order a vegan cake because I happen to like the look of it best, then I immediately do the same with a large one Milk coffee with cow's milk (!) again!!! 😁 I like to go there. I have to express my disappointment. We ordered veal schnitzel with fried potatoes and green sauce. We received a completely unseasoned dish, which we had to pay €70 for together with the two drinks. The steak was tougher, probably because the meat was frozen and thawed and baked quickly. It's never happened to me that we get a dish that has no taste. In addition, the sauce was as thin as water. For this money the quality of the food must be significantly better.

The ginkgo restaurant offers excellent service and a super friendly staff. The prices are fair and the food is stunning - all fresh and delicious. A completely successful visit!

Best burgers and fries I've ever eaten. Employees are all friendly and helpful. Just the service you get as a customer in the USA. A little too loud for my taste but everything else is perfect.

Spontaneous visit on a Tuesday evening when the weather was nice. We had to wait a bit for the card, but from then on things went great (with only ONE service person! 🤟). Daily dish: vegetarian Maultaschen with herb quark and salad. Very tasty, large portion, homemade herb quark - and for only €12.90!! Plus the toxic cucumber drink with lime and basil - the perfect end to a Tuesday. We'll definitely be back!! 😊👋

Staff probably completely overwhelmed, unfortunately We waited an hour for food and then left. The waitress said they had so much to do and it was only a quarter full. A broom hasn't been used outside for a long time.

Hatte am 27.04.24 eine Erfahrung der dritten Art mit dem Service. Da ich selbst schon in der Gastro gearbeitet habe, verstehe ich Stress. Aber DAS toppt alles, sodass ich sogar mein Essen abbestellen musste, daher kann ich leider nichts über die Qualität sagen. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass das Essen schmeckt, sonst wäre man nicht noch da. Jedoch: Ich habe selten einen so unfreundlichen und offensiv-aggressiven Service erleben müssen, menschlich gesehen taten sich hier in meinen Augen Abgründe auf. Ich würde hier gerne 0 Sterne geben. Wer Bock hat auf ein cooles Gesamtpaket, sollte sich womöglich andere Orte suchen. Ich werde nie wieder hingehen, und sicherlich auch niemals eine Empfehlung für das Ginkos aussprechen.

Had a third type experience with the service on 04/27/24. Having worked in the catering industry myself, I understand stress. But THAT tops everything, so I even had to cancel my meal, so unfortunately I can't say anything about the quality. I have rarely had to experience such unfriendly and offensively aggressive service; from a human perspective, in my eyes, abysses opened up here. I would like to give 0 stars here. If you're interested in a cool overall package, you should probably look for other places. I will never go there again, and certainly never recommend Ginkos.

We had green sauce with fried potatoes twice and the veal schnitzel once, everything tasted super fresh and was very tasty, the schnitzel was super tender and a great breading, the service was also great, the atmosphere is okay, we'll be back 👍

A COZY (breakfast) CAFE/RESTAURANT ☕️🍰🥪🍛🍽🥃🍸🙂 Food for people who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet is highly recommended and there are a few dishes to choose from. But there are also dishes for meat lovers ;-). So there is something for everyone. The food tasted good to all of us (we were there with 5 people and 1 child) and seemed fresh. Salads very tasty 😋 Dessert options were vegan chocolate mousse with fruit or a cheese plate as well as 3 different cakes, one of which was vegan. We ordered different dishes. Both the spinach lasagne with mixed salad, as well as schnitzel and the Argentinian rump steak with fried potatoes, herb butter and a small side salad and the avocado sandwich were very tasty 😋 The prices of the lunch dishes currently range from around 10 to around 29 euros. When it comes to dessert, we don't have everyone's tastes covered and perhaps one more dessert could be offered as an alternative, or e.g. ice cream, a waffle... The vegan dessert certainly won't suit everyone's taste, but I enjoyed it. :-) When we visited, we were always served by the same male waitress, which was good and she was personable and friendly. There was also a daily menu insert for the fixed menu and we were also given 3 additional dishes that weren't on it. Unfortunately, reservations couldn't/can't be made before 6 p.m., but we were still lucky. The parking situation on site is rather difficult, but there is also a parking garage nearby and a subway stop, which can be reached on foot in about 5-15 minutes. From cheap to slightly more expensive, there is sure to be a dish to suit everyone. The restaurant itself was on the ground floor, but the toilets went downstairs. The restaurant is rather smaller, but cozy and with a good price-performance ratio and friendly staff as well as a good selection of dishes and opening times from morning to evening/night. Options are offered for breakfast, but also cold/warm lunch/dinner. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We will definitely come back.

The vegan starter plate was plentiful and very tasty. The main courses could have been a little spicier, but everything was good with pepper. The tables were pushed together for us even though we weren't registered.

We have been to Ginkgo many times and today I have to write something. The reason was a very unpleasant experience in another café nearby, where we actually wanted to have breakfast. The first impression there was completely wrong and we looked for a “safe haven”. And unlike that other café, we were greeted with a smile. The atmosphere was relaxed and our breakfast didn't take long to arrive. The scrambled eggs were great and the croissants were still nice and warm. The only negative point here is the cappuccino, which I would like to have made with fresh cow's milk and not with long-life milk. But we already knew that this was the case here and were able to overlook it, especially since everything else just worked out.

Ordered the omelette for breakfast and was surprised by the texture of it, which was porous and very much on the dry side. The chai tea latte was in a generous portion, but a bit too sweet. Walking into it the first staff was extremely rude and pretended that she didn’t see me, while a second staff was very friendly and always talked to you with a smile. Visited 25 Jan

Been here a few times, the food is fresh and flavorful, never disappoints, this place also has some of the best salads I’ve had in Frankfurt.

I can only recommend breakfast at Gingko. The atmosphere is always very relaxed and friendly. The breakfast was very tasty. The Bella Italia breakfast is perhaps a bit expensive at €14, but very good. Also fried eggs or pancakes, everything is very tasty. Overall, the service is also super friendly and there is a quasi-family atmosphere.

Am sonnigen Sonntagmittag perfekt für gemütlichen Brunch. Sowohl Kaffee als auch der frisch gepresste Saft war gut, Avocado Sandwich war für mich das Beste + Omelette mächtig und lecker. Zum Nachgang dann noch ein Stück Zitonenkuchen lüftig und geschmacksvoll :) Obwohl das Lokal relativ voll war und wir etwas beengt saßen, war das Personal super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Besuch -

Toller Laden! Eine riesen Auswahl an Speisen. Alles immer wirklich sehr frisch und lecker zubereitet. Man zahlt nicht für irgendeinen Schnickschnack sondern einfach nur für gutes Essen. Egal ob morgens zum Frühstück, nachmittags zu Cafe und (sehr gutem ) Kuchen oder zum Abendessen – ich wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Viele Optionen auch für Veganer und Vegetarier. Personal sehr sympathisch und aufmerksam. Erste Wahl wenn es um frühstücken in FFM geht.

Ich wohne im NRW aber wenn ich in Frankfurt bin , esse ich hier . Omelett mit Käse, vauuu oder ..... schmeckt wunderbar.

War mein erste mal und habe schöne Erfahrungen bekommen. Food and drink hier fresh made&cooked and it’s delicious. Service was very friendly and animals friendly. 👍🏼 War dort mit eine Freundin und ihr Hund. Die Mitarbeitern haben Wasser und klein trocken Füttern für die Hunde auch gegeben und natürlich erstmal mit Anfrage zu Besitzerin. Es gibt auch vegetarische und vegane Essen. Es gibt auch 2 Plätze Atmosphäre indoor und outdoor. 👍🏼

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und sehr freundlicher Bedienung. Wir wurden gut beraten und haben lecker gegessen.

Rundum zufrieden nach einem spontanen Besuch zum Abendessen. Dank der umfangreichen Speisekarte wurde die Wahl zwar zur Qual, Die gewählten Gerichte (gratinierter Ziegenkäse mit Oliven und Tomaten sowie Beilagensalat, Frankfurter Grüne Soße mit Eiern und Bratkartoffeln sowie das Vegane Mousse au Chocolat als Dessert) waren jeden Cent wert. Nette Bedienung und ein ansprechendes Ambiente (was leider nicht für die Toilette galt) rundeten den Abend ab. Das Ganze auch noch zu moderaten Preisen (<50 € inkl. Getränken).

Im Café Ginkgo in Frankfurt konnte ich die Vielfalt der Geschmackserlebnisse entdecken. Die himmlisch fluffigen Pancakes sind ein absolutes Highlight, perfekt zubereitet und liebevoll präsentiert. Die verschiedenen Aromen und Texturen machen das Frühstück oder den Nachmittagssnack zu einem wahren Genuss. Das charmante Ambiente des Cafés und der aufmerksame Service tragen dazu bei, dass jeder Besuch zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis wird. Ein Ort, an dem die Pancakes die Sinne verwöhnen und für kulinarische Freude sorgen!

Wir kommen sehr gern ins Ginkgo, manchmal holen wir auch das Essen ab und essen zu Hause. Der gestrige Abend war wieder sehr schön. Danke, dass wir spontan noch einen Tisch bekommen konnten =) besser reservieren... die wechselnde Speisekarte ist immer sehr ansprechend, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und nett =) besonders zu empfehlen ist der Spinatauflauf, der Veggieburger,Kichererbsencurry mit Gemüse und Reis, das Schnitzel und das hervorragende Kalbsgulsch mit Spätzle(wechselnde Karte), die Salate sind immer frisch und schön zubereitet, mit einer guten Vielfalt an Produkten. Ich bin bis jetzt immer vollends satt geworden, sodass manchmal etwas übrig war. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm gestaltet.

Essen was sehr gut. Der Service sympathisch und freundlich. Angenehm sonnig um die Mittagszeit.

This is good restaurant for casual night out with plenty options of German food as well as drinks. If it is too busy may take sometime to get served, but they are really nice, and they speak English. The dishes were really good.

My favourite brunch location in Frankfurt!

Ich bin immer über 18 Jahren mit meinem Mann besuchen und waren voll zufrieden bis auf heute. Wir waren mit unserer Drillinge plus Freunde und eine Kellnerin (kleine ohne tatoo) kein Zeit hätte für eine Familie Foto. Unnett war sie zwar nicht aber auch nicht nett. Trotzdem haben wir 200€ da gelassen.

Das Restaurant war unsere erste Anlaufstelle in der Bremerstr. Es wirkte auf den ersten Blick sehr ansprechend. Die Servicekraft war sehr zügig am Tisch und hat uns direkt einen sauberen Aschenbecher hingestellt. Leider haben wir sowohl für den Wein als auch für die Gerichte sehr lange gewartet, weswegen ich einen Stern abziehen muss. Für alles andere, waren wir sehr zufrieden. Danke.

⭐️ Im Zeichen des Ginkos ⭐️ Wir sind hier am Abend auf einen Drink eingekehrt und waren sehr positiv vom Ambiente angetan. Auch das Essen auf den Nachbartischen sah vorzüglich aus. Leider bekam ich dann ein Brown Ale statt ein Indian Pale Ale (was laut der Bedienung/dem Tresenpersonal), das gleiche sein sollte. Also entschied ich mich kurzerhand zu einem Hellen um. Das schmeckte dann vorzüglich. Ansonsten war der Abend mit m Ginkgo wirklich nett und wir würden hier auch nochmal einkehren und dann auch das Essen probieren. Also bis bald. Dann wird der fünfte Stern ergänzt, wenn wir dann vollkommen überzeugt sind.

Die Vorspeisenplatte war sehr lecker! Der vegane Burger richtig schlecht. Ich war so enteuscht, weil ich den burger vor ein paar Jahren schon mal gegessen habe und er richtig gut war. Diesmal war der Patty einfach nur eine matschige Pampe. Der Salat dagegen hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal war leider mehr mit sich selbst beschäftigt als mit den Gästen.

Wie immer einen sehr schönen Abend gehabt. Essen ist super, Bedienung ist einmalig.

Ich war gestern mit meiner Frau (9. Monat Schwanger) dort was essen. Sie hatte eine vegetarische Lasagne. Gegen Ende Ihrer Mahlzeit bemerkt meine Frau in Ihrer Lasagne eine etwa 3-4 cm große schwarze Schabe. Ihr ist sofort schlecht und muss sich fasst übergeben, weil es durchaus sein kann, dass sie eine mitgegessen hat. Ich zeige der Küche die Schabe im Essen, keine Entschuldigung. Lediglich die Aussage: “Ist eklig, wir nehmen das Essen raus (aus der Rechnung).” Sind sofort gegangen. Unglaublich, ich würde jedem von diesem Restaurant abraten!
