All in all, a lovely restaurant. Especially in this exceptionally well-designed restaurant! The buffet was plentiful and good, and it was constantly refilled. The owner gave us a very warm welcome and served us. We stopped here spontaneously on a return trip. We really enjoyed it.

Oh well. It used to be better. We were there at lunchtime with a small child. When the buffet became empty, it was only refilled after a lady at the neighboring table asked. Unfortunately there wasn't that much choice and the high chair for toddlers didn't have a belt. It has nothing to do with eating, but other parents can certainly understand that it's less relaxing to eat like this when the little one can always crawl out.

The buffet is always good. Don't come here too late, otherwise the selection will look rather poor.

In any case, the restaurant is an eye-catcher: a pyramid made of glass with seating on two levels. There is also a terrace, which - in winter under a tent with gas stoves - represents a reasonably cozy extension. The reception was friendly, a table was quickly found and the chairs were quite comfortable. Unfortunately, some of the drinks we ordered didn't come. No one asked at the table whether they wanted something to drink or whether everything was OK the whole evening. However, the staff was always friendly. The service here needs to be improved a bit. The fact that later, when virtually all the tables were occupied, the plates with the delicacies from the wok were placed on the table almost without a word is not nice, but understandable to me. In this respect, I can partially understand other reviews. But it's still a long way from the one-star level. What I can't understand are the negative comments regarding the buffet: it was constantly being refilled here and there; nothing was ever missing. I think it depends on how many guests are there. If the restaurant is full, it can be assumed that a lot of supplies are needed. If only a few tables are occupied, as the operator I end up having to throw away a lot if I always fill the buffet to the brim. The quality of the food was good but not exceptional - from sushi to fried noodles, from satay skewers, from salad to desserts. A visit is worthwhile, but there is room for improvement here. We want to go there again and eat a la carte.

Unfortunately I'm not satisfied at all. Although it wasn't well attended, we waited a long time until we were served. The waiter could have been a little nicer. Pay attention to his tone. Then the food came. My friend said it was OK, it was too spicy for me. I eat a lot of Chinese food, but I didn't like it here. The only good thing I found was the lady at the checkout and the atmosphere. Was there the first time, don't have to again.

There is the opportunity to purchase leftover food twice a day, at lunchtime for €4.50 and in the evening for €5. I had it twice at lunchtime, and that's what I got. Salad and some rice, never again

This was my second time there and the buffet was again very tasty.

The food was way too greasy and the staff was unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend it. I ate frame, but was very disappointed because the noodles were just normal noodles and not special Asian noodles.

It could have been so beautiful. We were there in the evening. Unfortunately nothing was refilled at the buffet. So many empty bowls are just not inviting. Especially for the price. The chocolate fountain was suddenly out and the bananas were made for us upon request and brought to the table. The service was almost non-existent. Too bad.

I had dinner there yesterday, the buffet was really nice and it tasted good too. Unfortunately, yesterday evening and today I discovered that I have stomach and intestinal problems, which for me rarely or never come from eating. Actually, we would have liked to come again because the service was nice, but unfortunately that spoiled my interest.

It's still okay but no comparison to the opening of the dynasty (that's what it was called at the beginning). Buffet is quite ok, the varied desserts with chocolate fountains, the children's heaven were good.

Unfortunately, I haven't had such bad Chinese food in a long time. We were actually there for Peking duck. But it was sold out despite pre-ordering. The buffet was clear and unfortunately no longer filled. The dessert buffet was just disgusting. The area we sat in wasn't clean either. There were six of us and we were terribly disappointed. We definitely won't be here anymore.

We enjoyed the buffet, although there were few vegetarian options. The dessert was also good. Overall, the taste was enjoyable and the atmosphere was very nice. This place is totally recommended for a visit with friends and family. Weekday lunches are cheaper than dinners and weekends buffet. It's a well priced place for a nice get-together.

It's probably time for a change of ownership. The restaurant gets worse and worse over the years. The buffet is getting drier and drier and it's always the same thing. The buffet was at 2 p.m. when we arrived it was already in "empty mode". Only soup was refilled. The service is still quick, but has also become increasingly unfriendly over the years. The last visit now ended with us not going there anymore. We made a reservation at 2 p.m. and were informed shortly after half past two that we would have to leave soon. I can now fill myself one more plate and then it’s time for work. The boss then tried to explain it, but couldn't. All in all unfriendly and unnecessary. We were literally thrown out. And that at a quarter to three, although you can still make a reservation for 2:30 p.m. That was it for us there. Too bad.

As always, we are very satisfied with the buffet; there is something for everyone, big and small. The last time we were there, we didn't find the staff particularly friendly. I hope that changes again 🙏🏼 otherwise highly recommended 👌🏼 👍🏼

I was in this restaurant where the service was very rude and the food tasted really bad. The entire experience was extremely disappointing.

A wonderful evening! Food was great, not dry! Juicy and delicious. No matter what you ate, it tasted wonderful! The waiter was just great! You order something as you walk by. He doesn't respond, 2 minutes later it's at the table. Simply great :) We were also a lot of people, he focused on all the orders.

Although we got to the restaurant a little early, we were let in straight away and were offered seats a little later. We didn't have to wait long until someone came to our table and took our drink orders. A little later we were able to help ourselves to the generous buffet. I started with a soup that I enjoyed. As a second course I put together a salad with dressing. I also had beef with vegetables. I also liked that. Thirdly, I had chicken curry with mushrooms and rice with vegetables. The mushrooms weren't quite as good but everything else was tasty. For the first dessert I had two scoops of ice cream with fruit and Amarena cherry sauce. I also really enjoyed that. For the second dessert I had two different jellies, although I found it a bit of a shame that there was no vanilla sauce with them. I drank two large glasses of cola with it. Overall it was a good meal in a nice atmosphere.

The lunch buffet for 14.90 euros is really okay and good value for money. Choice of soup, starters, sushi, meat and fish with noodles and rice and desserts. Everything is there. If you expect absolute highlights of Asian cuisine for the money, you can't help it. The service is quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the ambience is not that great because the glass pyramid is too cold in winter and too warm in summer.

The lunch buffet is, if at all, filled up grudgingly! What's that supposed to mean? We will never enter this location again. This restaurant has a chic ambience. However, the buffet is no longer restocked after 7 p.m., even though it is said to be open until 11 p.m. When asked, the answer was that you can reorder individual items for yourself, but the buffet will no longer be replenished for cost and sustainability reasons. Is a plausible reason. The problem, however, is that it is NOT mentioned ANYWHERE, so you have to make a reservation without knowing it and then have to pay dearly for the few, cold and dry leftovers that you were given. This is outrageous. Would advise against this restaurant.

The restaurant itself is very chic and the staff is also friendly. But you MUST show up at the beginning of the times mentioned. The buffet is no longer refilled very early, both at lunchtime and in the evening. You don't have to go there after 6 p.m. otherwise you'll just find leftovers. Just had an incredible dinner at Gingko Chinese Restaurant in Hannover, and I'm still thinking about it! The star of the night was definitely the Peking Duck – perfectly crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. But that wasn’t all! We also enjoyed delicious chicken, beef, lamb, and eggplant dishes, each one packed with amazing flavors. The food was so good that everyone ended up having at least three bowls of rice! 😋 It was a fantastic meal and an unforgettable dining experience. If you're ever in Hannover, this place is a must-visit for authentic Chinese cuisine! 🍽️🦆

There is a Chinese menu. Peking duck and Chinese dishes can be reserved the day before. If you want to eat authentic Chinese food, Sichuan cuisine is worth a try.

This restaurant is Asian top class in Hanover. The two operators are wonderful people. We recommend the Peking duck (pre-registration required)! We are happy to take special guests out here. Occasionally we also picked up Peking duck for consumption outside the home.

Food was good, of course when it's rush hour at the buffet, something is empty. The same is true in other restaurants. However, we were hardly noticed when it came to replenishment of drinks. At the neighboring table, the guests were greeted with a handshake and there was always someone there asking if everything was good, how good it was, etc. and whether they would like a drink on the house. Um, yes... That wasn't the case with us, as I said, it was almost as if something was going on...we had 1 drink and it stayed that way.

Very good lunch buffet with sushi and you can put together the ingredients for a wok dish and then have it served to the table...

We always enjoy coming here. The buffet offers something for everyone and everything is super fresh and delicious. Now we tried the Peking duck and it was such a special experience - simply indescribable. So tender and delicious 😋 I can highly recommend it. We will often spend a nice time here in a pleasant environment with delicious food 🤩

We went to this restaurant this evening and everything was fine at the beginning. A gentleman “set up” the buffet and then served it, among other things. This man had an unbearable alcohol streak and his hands were incredibly unkempt. Long nails with dirt underneath, an injured finger that bled through the pavement. INCREDIBLE that this man doesn't wear gloves while preparing the buffet. I was so disgusted. If you let such employees go to the buffet, what kind of people are in the kitchen? Very last time.

The taste is very authentic! The portions are large, the service is attentive, and the surprise is beyond expectations! Every dish, including fatty intestines, fish, roast duck, spicy chicken, mutton, and Maoxuewang, is delicious. The roast duck rack made into spicy duck rack is even more delicious!

The food was very hot. That is positive for us. Very little choice, never made up. I had to actively talk to the staff about it. Ice cream spoon floats in creamy water. That doesn't actually have to be the case. In the men's toilet, 2 of the 3 urinals are defective... We don't have to go there again. Price performance poor

This restaurant is always the first one that comes into my mind to have food with my friends. I liked the Peking duck the best. As the buffet, it is fresh, delicious and multiple options. I like the environment so much. This restaurant is well decorated and I had very nice experience to have food here!

I ordered several dishes, the roast duck and couple's lung slices were very delicious! We also had shredded wild rice noodles, a very authentic Chinese food! Will definitely come again if I have the chance😋

I was there at 9:27 p.m. instead of 9:25 p.m. to pick up the to-go item I had already paid for. Nothing was received, everything had already been dismantled. I had already made a reservation for lunch. Seems like it's not the first time people haven't received their orders here.

The portion is large and the taste is good. A whole roast duck with soup and spicy duck rack is enough for two to three people. I think the price is fair. After all, the location, taste and quantity are all here.

We reserved food via “To good to go”. Were there earlier and had something to drink. A waiter, dressed inappropriately in my opinion, in very short, knee-length trousers, said after we had had our drinks for a while, suddenly, you know, that you have to pay for the drinks in cash? We replied, no, how should we know, it doesn't work with a card either, no card payment for less than 10 euros... He should have said that when we ordered. It wasn't noted anywhere either. We barely managed to collect €8.50, but we actually always pay by card. The noise was almost unbearable, nothing against children, but it had the charm of a kindergarten, you almost couldn't speak your own words understand. I wouldn't have wanted to eat in such an atmosphere. When I go out to eat, I want to enjoy it and eat in peace. We wouldn't go there again.

I placed 2 orders through Too Good To Go for pickup on Saturday evening. Pick up time from 9:10 p.m. Order time 7:05 p.m. with my phone number. When I arrived at 9:12 p.m. I was greeted very unfriendly in the front door. Without me being able to absorb anything, I was told: "No To Good To Go today! Generally no To Good To Go on Saturday!" When I pointed out that despite the confirmation email and the telephone number I had given, I had not received any further information that my order could not be carried out, the answer was: "That's right, no To Good To Go today!" Payment had already been made in advance via PayPal. The answer: “Don’t swipe, then you won’t pay anything!” Unfortunately that wasn't true either. The amount was debited and I had to have it transferred back to me. Conclusion: There is no friendliness here. Anyone who treats me like this as a guest will never see me again.

Very nice location and a cozy and pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. In my opinion, the buffet isn't huge in terms of selection, but it's more than sufficient and very tasty. It is refilled regularly and there is something for everyone.

OK, now it gets difficult... Buffet is ALWAYS a problem, too cold, too dry or simply no longer crispy. But the restaurant has this under control quite well. The dishes are generally too lightly seasoned for me. The Peking duck served at the next table, however, looked excellent - we will try that next time! The biggest problem, however, is the individual architecture - very exciting and beautiful to look at. BUT even the slightest sunlight heats up the glass pyramid mercilessly - unfortunately there is no air conditioning - we will certainly avoid that for the next three months. The service is friendly and fast, you can't complain about that. There are only a few parking spaces; in the evenings, visitors park in the parking spaces of the surrounding offices.

We ate there at 8:30 p.m. and at 9:15 p.m. the waiters asked if we wanted to eat anything else, otherwise they would clear out the place. The buffet had already been grazed and there was hardly anything edible there.

Buffet of extremely poor quality and limited selection. Given the location, more was expected. Ambience good. The quality offered in combination with the quantity seems to be aimed only at the maintenance of the owner's S-Class and guest satisfaction plays a subordinate role. It's a shame...the owner's comments should have warned me...like the food, it's under the weather. Conclusion: For me it's the worst Asian in the whole region and according to the reviews the owner doesn't care!

Never again, service was friendly but didn't ask if you wanted anything else to drink. Then the food was half cold, the buffet was empty and nothing looked appetizing. The buffet was not refilled and upon request something was prepared that didn't taste even remotely good. Had stomach pain after eating. For 2 people buffet and 2 drinks €55.80 is an outrageous price for nothing. I was there in the evening between 7 and 10 p.m

Hello, We were there for dinner with 10 people on Sunday, May 12, 2024. The building itself is impressive, a glass pyramid in the middle of a bit of greenery...plenty of parking spaces available. The food was plentiful (buffet) and, in my opinion, fresh, the staff was very friendly and loved children, although we had to get a vase for a birthday bouquet ourselves, even though we had asked for it at the beginning. So far everything is good.........but: at some point around .....2.30 p.m. an employee started cleaning the glass facade from the outside with a steam jet.....right behind our table!! !! It was very loud and very unpleasant, we all felt like the restaurant wanted to get rid of us...... Dear Ginkgorians, something like that is absolutely not possible!!!!!

We were there at lunchtime on a Saturday, around 1 p.m. The buffet was not refilled, not even when asked. Very unfortunate and disappointing. The selection of vegetarian dishes was very thin. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant at all.

A very rich, tasty and varied buffet. Additionally, unusual specialties freshly prepared from the wok of your choice, such as shrimp, lamb, beef, poultry or kangaroo. Unusual! A large dessert buffet completes the perfect menu. Selected wines and delicious cocktails at very fair prices round off the experience perfectly. The service from the boss and his team is very friendly and accommodating! As regular guests, we enjoy coming to Ginkgo on a regular basis! Thanks!

I can't understand the negative reviews. We have now been to the buffet twice in the evening within 4 weeks. Everything was always there! And if things were in short supply (not empty!), everything was refilled by the second trip to the buffet at the latest. The food is solid buffet food and we all liked it. I would like vegetarian sushi without nori sheets. Unfortunately I don't like anything from the sea, so unfortunately no sushi for me as a starter.

Dubious establishment. First of all, the food and drinks are rather unsuitable for the price/performance in the atmosphere. It's simplest Asian buffet at higher prices. You “can” eat it, but nothing more. Drinks for 4 euros are simply too expensive in this case. The main problem (as you can see from the reactions in the reviews) is the owner. Highly unprofessional answers. Criticism should actually stimulate improvements and it should be in your own interest to satisfy customers. Instead, it is better to keep your distance. What a declaration of bankruptcy across the board. You feel sorry for the employees. So it remains just one visit and there won't be another visit.
