I bought a falafel wrap as a snack for my train journey. When I unwrapped the wrap, I immediately noticed that it was very soft and the paper had become sticky and moist. At first, I took one bite and it tasted OK, but then I noticed that the lettuce was brown in some places. That can happen – but the falafel was completely soft and already blue from the red cabbage. The next bite, however, tasted absolutely disgusting. I paid almost 5 euros for it and now I have no food on the train or have to buy it twice. It's really outrageous to still be selling such an old wrap. The wrap definitely wasn't made today.

I ordered the crunchy chicken bowl because I knew it from other branches. But at this once it is a really sad experience. The whole bowl is tiny and old. Dean and David should do better quality control and close this branch.

I usually never write reviews. But I went there yesterday and bought a falafel salad bowl for around €12 (!). On the train I noticed that many of the leaves no longer looked fresh. But I still ate the falafel and have had a stomach ache since yesterday. I recommend everyone not to make the same mistake as me.

I was full of anticipation for the falafel wrap because I had a very delicious wrap in Berlin HBF a week before... In Berlin I paid a whole 7 euros for one, in Hanover 10.80... I don't understand the stark price range! The wrap consisted of 90% lettuce and was wrapped so tightly that the dough was stuck to the paper at the bottom and the whole thing couldn't be eaten without making a mess. No sauce, old avocado, no seasoning, felt like a maximum of 5 pomegranate seeds...tastes like you're just biting into an old head of lettuce ..I had the feeling that the wrap that was brought from somewhere behind was from the day before...Absolutely NOT recommended!!

I have no problem spending €15 on a salad. But what I have a problem with is when the lettuce leaves aren't cut into bite-sized pieces and my bread isn't wrapped.

I have rarely experienced such unfriendly and incompetent service. I had placed an order for pickup but nothing was prepared when I arrived. Instead, an employee who was still wearing headphones asked me: “What did you order?” The point of a pickup function is to save time, not to waste it on site. Later, a bag was wordlessly thrown onto the counter, and it was only after asking that I learned that this was my order. Such behavior and way of working are simply unacceptable.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my experience at Dean & David. I ordered the Crunchy Chicken Bowl and found that the proportion of chicken was far too small in relation to the rice. The name of the bowl promises something different – ​​“Crunchy Chicken” – but it feels like the focus is more on the rice. The portions overall are far too small to justify the price. For the money (12 euros) I would have expected significantly better quality and, above all, satiety. There was also no salt or pepper to season. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio was not at all good. I will therefore no longer eat at Dean & David in the future.

The staff is the worst in the entire central station. They only serve you when asked or after a long wait - and that at the main station, where many people are in a hurry. They are also unfriendly. I am a commuter and have gained a lot of experience there. The food used to be good, but unfortunately it has gotten worse overall. The rice pudding has been very disappointing a few times now. I won't buy it anymore. The vegetarian bowls are still quite good.

Waste of money getting empty rolls!!. I had to look for chicken in the chicken sandwich! The sandwiches behind the window look good but what you get in your hand are empty!! Really annoying👎👎👎👎👎

It's not as good as in Wolfsburg. I ordered an avocado cream and mozzarella sandwich and it felt like you could only find the avocado cream (if at all) with a magnifying glass. The cheese was already old and something very hard and round was still in the sandwich. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of it.

got the cesar salad wrap. was pretty solid and even after a long while in the backpack still pretty crunchy and not too soggy. the bottom was a bit wet but that was more because of all the ingredients and, i think a little of the sauce dripping down to the bottom of the wrap, so not too surprising really. all in all it was a good hearty snack. maybe pricier for some than others but the selection of things all in all is solid on pretty much every end. vegetarian and vegan options are available as well and if you ain’t afraid to spend a pretty penny here and there you can survive longer train rides easily (special mentions to the atrocious train system of the DB lol) all in all if your in need for a quick snack and need more than your run of the mill chips from the corner store, this is a good place to go to for food/snacks

what was that? I had a wrap that was 90% iceberg and it cost over €5. In addition, the warp was rolled up so stupidly that some of the contents fell out when I unpacked it. really rubbish never again

12/13/24 at 7:45 am I am shocked at the behavior I experienced in this store. While I was there, I witnessed an incident where one of the two male employees assaulted a customer. The customer had simply picked up a sandwich for his friend, who was in line at Haferkater across the street at the time. Apparently this was a big problem for the employee because he became aggressive and even physically attacked the customer as if he wanted to fight. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and lacks any respect and professionalism. I will definitely avoid this store and can only advise anyone not to shop here. Customers should feel safe and that was clearly not the case here.

Given that the bowl, which costs around €15, consists of 80% simple lettuce leaves, you should expect that they are at least not brown, limp and smelly.

Unfortunately the Caesar wrap was inedible and I had to throw it away. The salad was not fresh and tasted bitter. The wrap was wobbly, soft and a bit slimy. Additionally, I was ignored by the staff for a while. I stood at the counter expectantly. 2 young service staff looked at me several times and preferred chatting to each other rather than serving me.

Certain employees are very unfriendly and do not answer customer questions or do not know their own products. Personally, I have a milk allergy and cannot tolerate absolutely all forms of milk. I bought a vegan sandwich and still had health problems. That shouldn't happen, it's a shame, otherwise it was always delicious.

I was so hungry today that I was willing to spend €5 on a tiny wrap. I was really convinced that you can't go wrong with a cesar wrap. Half of the wrap was just iceberg lettuce, and the paper at the bottom was just IN the wrap, so I couldn't even eat the last piece So sorry, but no, never again!

The saleswoman cannot distinguish a café latte from a black coffee. I only realized on the train that she had given me something different than what I actually ordered.

Got a Chicken Vitality salad, the meat was really greasy, I sorted it out. And got another bowl that was at most half full. Really a joke, considering the prices. Service also unfriendly.

I bought a chicken and avocado sandwich for just under €5. While eating I unfortunately discovered that both the tomatoes and the avocado were fermented and some of the lettuce leaves were wilted and brown. I went back to the shop to explain the problem. I received a "fresh" sandwich as a replacement on the grounds that the previous one just wasn't hot enough and therefore tasted strange. However, the hot sandwich was exactly the same: fermented tomatoes and avocado, rotten lettuce leaves. Not edible. Apparently the staff doesn't even look closely at the goods before selling them. Or people simply don't care. Conclusion: I will buy something to eat somewhere else in the future.

I bought a vegan falafel wrap for my train ride. It looked appetizing in the display. For the first time I bought something to eat at Dean&David. Unfortunately, about 10 minutes later on the train I was proven wrong. The paper and packaging around it was so soft and the wrap was just mushy! Not crunchy and fresh just soggy and you had to look for the falafel. Falafel was visible at the top and to my taste there was nothing else to taste except iceberg lettuce. I'm thinking about buying something to eat there a second time. The waitress didn't speak. No hello, no asking what it was supposed to be or anything else.

I got something from this branch twice. Unfortunately not at all fresh and crunchy. Last time the falafel wrap was not only completely soggy, but also tasted a bit strange. I otherwise like it at other branches. So in my opinion not worth the money.

Today I am highly disappointed about the product I had been served in the Dean & David Express Store in The Hannover central Station, Germany. I ordered a black rice salmon avocado bowl. After long waiting in the line I nearly missed my train. On the train I found that I had been given a half empty bowl with no rice and no avocado. I used to be a long term customer. But this is ridiculous lack of quality. I can only imagine what else is not good at this D&D 😔

Picked up food to take away: it was supposed to be 2x an avocado halloumi salad. The salad itself was delicious, halloumi too. If a salad has avocado in the name, I assume there is some in it too. In one of the 2 salads there was a large piece of avocado, which was also rock hard. The other salad had a little more in it, but it wasn't soft either.

Tried their Caeser wrap and it was a complete disaster. It was so so bland. But I'm still giving a 4 star because I also tried their himbeer mandel kuchen and OMG I loved it. It was so soft and delicious 😋 So this is gonna be my go to place whenever I want to eat a cake.

Habe heute 9:33 ein Mozzarella Avocado Sandwich gekauft und bin direkt danach mit dem Zug abgefahren. Das Sandwich ist VERDORBEN. Genauer der Avocado-Belag. Alkoholisch vergärt, ungeniessbar! Bitte nicht weiter verkaufen, ist für die Tonne (4,75€ weg).

It's not the first time, but I thought I'd give it another chance. Far too little dressing for the amount of lettuce. Chicken was ice cold. Everyone deserves a second chance, but after today's action; never again.

Vegan sweet potato sandwich for 5 euros was basically just bread. But at least the bread tasted good. :D

We ordered 2 bowls to take away. The only positive thing was the bread, which is honestly very good considering it came with the bowls. The bowls were just borderline. The prices are far too high for the quality. The chicken vitality bowl was edible but nothing special. Comparable to a normal chicken to go salad, just a little fresher. I had the Black Rice Salmon Bowl. The fish smelled very unpleasant, intense and tasted exactly like it smelled. I decided not to eat the fish but just poked around in the rice a bit. For the price I was hoping for better quality fish. Shame about the money and food.

Today I and a colleague ate a sandwich and a goat cheese wrap at your place. It tasted delicious and was totally fresh! The service was also impeccable. Thank you very much for the great service!

Auf meiner Reise nach Hause musste ich in Hannover umsteigen und nutzte die Gelegenheit, bei Dean und David einen Snack zu kaufen. Ich wählte ein Sandwich mit Süßkartoffeln und anderen Zutaten für 4,95 Euro. Das handgroße Sandwich war geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber der Inhalt hätte großzügiger sein können, was den Gesamteindruck beeinträchtigte. Man hatte außer dem Brot kaum etwas anderes geschmeckt und zu kauen. Der Preis war etwas enttäuschend, da ich selbst für einen kurzen Zeitraum nicht satt wurde. Immerhin war das Sandwich warm. Erneut würde ich hier keine 4,95 Euro für einen Sandwich ausgeben. Für das eine mal war es in Ordnung.

Sehr freundliche, kompetente, bemühte Mitarbeiter. essen schmeckt jedesmal frisch! Keine langen Wartezeiten. Ideal für den schnellen Hunger. Sehr bemühtes Personal .Jeden Morgen hole ich mir dort mein Frühstück und bin top zufrieden. Weiter so ! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Heute aus dem Zug 3 Salate zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Beim Abholen war dann der bestellte Salat nicht mehr vorrätig. Ok, kein Problem, Ersatzsalat akzteptiert. Nachfrage nach Wunschdressing wurde bejaht. Zu Hause dann die Überraschung..falsches Dressing, kein Brot dabei...dafür gammelige Salatblätter. Schade🤷‍♀️

Der Salat war super lecker (wie immer eigentlich) Aber der Verkäufer, ich stand über 10 Minuten und hab ihm signalisiert, etwas kaufen zu wollen aber er hat mich 0 beachtet und hat mit einer Dame auf arabisch gequatscht auch als ich wollte gerade wieder gehen, da hat er mich bedient und nebenbei weiter mit der Dame geredet, sorry aber der Lafen wird mich nicht wieder sehen!!!

Ich war jahrelang grosser Dean & David Fan. Salat 7.95 Euro plus Dressing und Brot. Auf Wunsch gern auf ein zweites Dressing für schmales Geld. Heute war ich erstaunt das mein Lieblingssalat bei 13.95 Euro liegt. Sorry, das gebe ich nicht aus. Nicht für die kleine Menge Salat und das Dressing ist jetzt schon im Salat, so spart man Salat. Dressing tauschen - keine Chance und Brot gab es auch nicht. Zu Hause angekommen wurde mein Gesicht länger. Der Paris Salat bestand aus vier Weintrauben, fünf halbe Walnussstücken, gefühlt 1/8 Paprika, Salatblätter die am Strunck braun waren, nicht alle, aber einige. Positiv, Käse war reichlich drauf. Die Krönung war dann auf dem Boden des Papptellers, das schwarze Haar. Sorry aber Salat von Dean & David - nie wieder!!!!! Ich bin sehr enttäuscht.

Essen frisch und lecker, Service top - schnell und sehr freundlich. Avocado Mozzarella Sandwich, Mango Kokos Curry waren gut gewürzt und haben mir sehr gut gefallen. Gern wieder.

Die letzten Male war jedesmal der Großteil der Salatblätter entweder labbrig oder schon braun. Das sind keine frischen Zutaten.

Meine Bowl war wie immer sehr lecker; Black Rice, Avocado und Lachs. Die Mitarbeiter waren echt flott und haben einen super Job gemacht. Ambiente geht nicht besser - ist eben ein Bahnhof.

Die Preiserhöhung für einen Chicken Vital Salat sind schon heftig, aber das man bei einem Preis von 11.45€ nicht mal das Dressing tauschen darf und bei 4 Salaten nach Brot fragen muss, weil es sonst vergessen wird ist sehr schade.

ich hole mir häufig morgens auf dem Weg zur Arbeit etwas bei dean& david im hannover hauptbahnhof. das essen ist immer super lecker und die mitarbeiter sehr sympathisch und zuvorkommend :)

Werde, wenn ich unterwegs durch Deutschland bin, die Augen nun immer offen halten nach diesem gesunden und leckeren Angebot. Daher 5 Sterne ! 😊

War zum ersten Mal bei Dean and David Hannover und bin begeistert! Ein tolles gesundes Angebot, schnell und frisch serviert. Preislich unschlagbar mit sonstigen vergleichbaren Angeboten an Bahnhöfe und mir sehr wichtig - eine schnelle und trotzdem gesunde Mahlzeit/Snack. Entgegen der vorherigen Verfasser, wurde ich sehr freundlich und fix bedient. Gerne wieder! ☺️

Das erste Mal hier gewesen und ich wurde positiv überrascht. Die Früchte waren total frisch, sehr lecker, Porridge. Hier werde ich auf jeden Fall häufiger vorbei schauen. Die Bedienung war total nett und freundlich.

Genieße jeden Morgen hier mein Frühstück. Immer zuvorkommendes Personal und schnelle Bedienung. Empfehlung für jeden Pendler der täglich dort unterwegs ist.

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Ich habe den vegan harvest Salat bestellt und er Bestand aus 90 Prozent nur aus Blattsalat. Es gab drei kleine Kartoffeln, ein Stück davon war nicht mal gar. Dann befanden sich noch zwei sehr kleine Brokkoli-Röschen in ihm. Für 10€ leider überhaupt nicht befriedigend.

We were in Hannover for sight seeing and we saw this place we decided to try their manu, unfortunately, the menu was not in English and the cashier was not helpful at alot, he was happy that he doesn't speak English and he was just shaking his head and he kept it for us to understand what was written in the menu, the salad was ok.

Nice little gem with great breakfast choices: smoothies, granola, porridge and teas/coffees. Well-prepared, very “instagram-friendly” :-) and friendly staff. Trendy decor and music. Highly recommended for a pit stop near the main station.

Compared to other shops in the station they offer a large choice of vegan options, which are clearly labeled. They also offer further vegetarian food and dishes with meat. Good place to buy some take away fast food for your train ride (sandwich, salad, chia pudding, cake, fruits, smoothies...). I tried the grilled vegan sandwich, which was ok and an apple pie, which was very good. Food is a bit overpriced.

Habe mir ein Curry zum Mitnehmen bestellt. Zubereitung ging superschnell. Die Portion war sogar für mich zu winzig, als ich nachfragte, ob die halbleere Box nicht etwas mehr enthalten müsste (für 7€!!!) wurde ich nur unfreundlich angeraunzt. Ich finde die Preise so gesehen dann schon ziemlich dreist, ein Inder in der Ernst -August -Galerie verkauft das gleiche Curry (sogar +Gemüse +Reis+ Joghurt) für 3,50€. Dort gibt es größere Portionen und immer ein freundliches Lächeln. Ich werde zu Dean and Davids am Hauptbahnhof definitiv nicht mehr gehen.
