LE JARDIN in Hannover

Great buffet dinner for only 15 euros. The Asian food (sweet & sour chicken + vegetables) was delicious and had plenty of meat. And the vegetarian ravioli with cream sauce was excellent as well. Free water too. :) An impressive meal right within the hotel.

The restaurant is essentially closed. Even on Sundays! The listed times are simply wrong. The menu is also inaccurate. The bar serves snacks and convenience food like pizzas and three other simple dishes until 9:00 PM. The information on Google Maps hasn't been updated or updated in a long time. This is misleading and not okay.

Vi låg över på hotellet i samband med en bussresa och middag på kvällen skulle ätas här. Hur tänker man från hotellets sida när minst 3 busslaster skall äta samtidigt och man bara har 3 st i personalen som inte hann ta upp beställning på dryck till alla samtidigt som de även skulle tappa upp drycken, dela ut den samt duka av borden. Bedrövligt. Maten då, riktigt dålig, bara en rätt att välja på vid buffén (totalt smaklös fisk). Extremt stimmigt med kanske 100 högljudda tyskar samtidigt i restaurangen. Detta var bland det sämsta jag upplevt. Stort BU till hotell-ledningen som inte sätter in tillräckligt med personal och till kocken som totalt missat kryddburkarna och och som kokat grönsakerna skumgummi-aktiga. Ät någon annanstans om möjligt.

I attended a seminar at this hotel. The room was clean and functionally furnished. Breakfast was adequate. Lunch and dinner exceeded my expectations. The portions were so generous that I sometimes couldn't finish them all. The staff was attentive and friendly. Special praise goes to the lady who served us at the bar. I look forward to returning there again.

This is the restaurant which serves Mercure Oldenburger Allee and it is the only option for food nearby, other than McDonald's 500m away towards the highway and another hotel restaurant one tram stop before. The place is large and uses a lot of natural light. Groups can be easily separated without interfering in the flow of regular guests. Different kinds of coffees and teas are available, only carton juices; also cheeses and cold cuts, cereals and some functional food, warm dishes and a variety of breads - one certainly won't starve at breakfast there! Staff isn't at all unfriendly but they don't greet guests or smile, yet they crack jokes among themselves and seem to work in a light-hearted environment. Depending on whether the hotel full is, on the amount of seminars/events or whether a bus with tourists for a night arrives late, there may be dinner available for guests or not. Therefore, never count on it for the evening meal and prefer to take the tram into the city for that.

I was a little hungry after a tiring day, and since the hotel had the option of eating something at Le Jardin, I did so and was surprised. A cheeseburger like I haven't eaten so well in a long time. Very tasty with enough fries, ketchup and mayonnaise. Completely fair in terms of price. Keep it up!
