GiMyLi in Leipzig

After a great, sunny and eventful short trip to Leipzig, a lunch together should round off the weekend. Unfortunately, our visit to this store left us with our mouths open. The gentleman who served us was incredibly unfriendly, loud and almost disrespectful to us. I've never experienced anything like this in the service sector. He was so grim, watched us suspiciously and very penetrating... none of us can explain what his problem was with us. Missed the job I would say! I find such behavior in front of guests so inappropriate. You almost had the feeling that you had to apologize for coming. Asian hospitality is known and appreciated everywhere... This shop is completely out of the ordinary and very disappointing. Not recommended!!! Unfortunately, even the food couldn't lessen this disappointment:( We had one soup go back because it wasn't the one we ordered. It was briefly taken to the kitchen and an ingredient was added. But what remained was the same incorrectly served soup. Absolute catastrophe

We were there for lunch. The waiter served us in an incredibly unfriendly tone. At times he spoke to us using command language and pointed his finger at us. We really couldn't explain why he treated us with such unfriendliness. A meal was given out incorrectly...when we spoke to him in a friendly manner, only the soup bowl was taken away and a dollop of coconut milk was drizzled in. When we wanted to pay, we were rudely ordered to the counter and checked in one after the other. We wanted to have some soup packed for us. The waiter maliciously said he would bring a container, but he wouldn't pack the soup. We have to do this ourselves... To say goodbye, we had to pay for the packaging of the soup on top. We really weren't aware at all why the waiter treated us so badly. We will definitely not visit this restaurant again. The food wasn't even really tasty. Why exactly do people go there? We'll probably always be puzzling about it. Really super super terrible!!¡

So far there have only been a few bun bo nam bo that tasted worse. The curry was also subpar.

Authentic enjoyment! I tried the Pho Ga here and it was simply excellent! The broth is incredibly aromatic, perfectly seasoned and tastes very good. The chicken slices are tender, and the fresh herbs add the finishing touch to the soup. Absolute recommendation for anyone who loves authentic Vietnamese cuisine!

Real insider tip, always come here before concerts in Naumanns/Felsenkeller. I had the 31 (GiMyLi dark sauce) with beef and rice, great umami! The starters are all great too. My friends let me try the vegan alternatives, which were all very tasty. I will definitely come back here again and again

We were nearby and spontaneously decided on Vietnamese cuisine. We had the baked chicken with peanut sauce. We haven't experienced such a good preparation in a very long time. It was really very tasty...

Always happy. Great Vietnamese cuisine, very nice and funny owner. You always feel welcome. The atmosphere is more of a snack bar, but you can tell.

As a family we spontaneously looked for something for lunch. Unfortunately we can't say much positive things. The restaurant (more like a kiosk) was very dirty (tables, floor, toilet), the gentleman (owner?) in the shop was quite unfriendly and the quality of the food was below average. Baked chicken -> lots of greasy breading, little chicken Egg noodles -> tasted after 5 minutes of terrine noodles The waitress brought me the wrong dish at first -> it can happen, but he claimed that I ordered it wrong (I pointed my finger at my dish on the menu when ordering) In my opinion, no recommendation at all, the neighboring restaurants deserve more attention.

Food is very good, very tasty and identical and at good prices.

The food was very plentiful and great quality. We enjoyed it very much. We had Vietnamese spring rolls, noodle dish (#33) and a dark sauce and beef dish (#30).

A little insider tip for people who like very tasty food in large portions. And at a very reasonable price! Even the tea tastes great. Even if the ambience is not pompous, you can feel comfortable in the small restaurant and be blown away by the food. It has become a tradition for us to eat there at least once every time we are in Leipzig and to strut through Leipzig feeling full!

Probably the best Vietnamese food I've ever had in Leipzig. A “hidden” gem.

Kiosk vibes but in dirty. Our plates were oily and the food was dead-fried. The owner was incredibly dismissive and unfriendly. The food is still like a stone in my stomach. Overall, really not a recommended experience. There are better Vietnamese restaurants 100m further.

I would almost say it's a small, inconspicuous snack bar, but the food is very tasty. The past dishes in particular are second to none. There were ten of us who went there and the food was on the table quite quickly despite other guests and out-of-house orders. But just because of the great food, I can warmly recommend it.

Super super delicious! The vegan duck is awesome, it's more of a crispy piece with great fillings! Highly recommended! Good price-performance ratio. Best shop!

The food tastes really good here. Only the staff seems very rude and grim. Doesn't respond to the simplest change requests. Swapping a sauce really shouldn't be a problem. Update: Found wrong food when unpacking. If you took a little more time for your guests, this wouldn't happen. Sauce also leaked all over the bag. Bravo. Won't be coming back and we wouldn't recommend it!

Best Vietnamese in this area! Period! Do yourself a favor and skip the other bs places. This is the real deal. It stays true to the intense tastes, they hand you the components if you wanna spice it up and the cook does not dumb down for German taste. Intense flavors!!! Sooooo good. I just give 5 stars in all categories even if the place basically has no atmosphere! I don’t care. Will return on a regular basis!

Very tasty food, takes a while but is freshly made. Prices are really fair and drinks are pretty cheap.

Simple restaurant with the standard menu but above-average delicious! I think it's better than the larger Vietnamese snack bars around the corner on Karl-Heine-Straße.

I have no idea what it tastes like here. I just had to go to the toilet pretty urgently (yes, that's supposed to happen too). That's why, after entering the shop, I greeted the gentleman behind the counter in a friendly manner and held out a coin and asked if I could use his toilet. The answer to that was pretty stroppy and disrespectful. Undoubtedly a “no”.

Wir waren garnicht begeistert. Das „tamarinden“gericht schmeckt einfach nur nach fertig-süß-sauer-soße, das tofu-curry nach modrig-saurem kleiderschrank. echt ein reinfall.

Das Essen war super lecker und es gab eine große Auswahl zu unschlagbaren Preisen. Die Portionen waren ebenfalls mehr als ausreichend. Auch der Eigentümer hat uns sehr freundlich bedient. Wir empfehlen dieses Restaurant jedem, der für einen fairen Preis in Leipzig Asiatisch Essen möchte. Wir werden wieder kommen, wenn wir das nächste Mal in Leipzig sind.

Super lecker, super freundlicher Inhaber und sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis.

Das kleine Restaurant bietet vietnamesische Küche. Es ist wahrscheinlich eher für bestellen und mitnehmen ausgelegt, bietet aber auch Tische drinnen und draußen. Der, wie ich annehme, Inhaber ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und wir haben auch nicht lange darauf warten müssen. Alles in allem kann man das kleine Speiselokal weiterempfehlen.

Mmmh, was hatte der junge Mann alle Hände voll zu tun über Pfingsten und was haben diese Hände auch noch leckeres zustande gebracht für schwarzen Hunger und mit veganer Gaumenkost unsere Seelen zur Fröhlichkeit summiert. Das beste dann noch, nach aller Üppigkeit der Tellerfülle, ein hausgemachter Kaffee. Sehr gerne wieder. 😉

Absolut leckeres Essen! Man spürt, dass hier man mit Liebe kocht. Für vegan ist eine extra-Speisekarte mit einem riesigen Auswahl von Gerichten. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ganz ehrlich, ich aß weder in einem Restaurant noch sonst wo so lecker wie bei GiMyLi. Es ist nahezu übernatürlich, und ich würde sogar sagen, zu günstig. Ich wohne regelrecht am anderen Ende Deutschlands, aber nachdem ich das Lokal nach einem Konzert zufällig entdeckte, war es ein Grund, nach Leipzig und ins nächstgelegene Hotel wiederzukommen. Und es wäre wieder ein Grund. Obwohl GiMyLi mit nur zwei Personen besetzt scheint, wartet man auf sein Essen nicht lange. Ich kann nur sagen, danke für diese Erfahrung. Tipp: Nehmt Dosen mit. Die Portionen waren sehr groß, aber es gibt keine to go Einwegbehältnisse und solche Köstlichkeiten darf man nicht wegwerfen!

Habe vegane Ente gegessen , Frühlingsrollen und Salat. Alles sehr lecker. Ambiente ist soweit ok. Ihr geht es eh um das Essen . Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

super leckeres essen - auch eine ordentliche Anzahl veganer Gerichte. man läuft schnell vorbei weil es nicht so fancy aussieht wie die anderen schuppen hier im Westen - lohnt sich aber

Sehr lecker, vielfältige vegane/vegetarische Gerichte (alle Gerichte gibt's als Fleisch und als vegane Variante) und das Ehepaar ist total nett.

Ich war noch nie in Vietnam, aber das Essen hier schmeckt so, wie ich mir das dortige Streetfood immer vorgestellt habe. Damit hebt sich GiMyLi deutlich von der Konkurrenz in der Gegend ab. Die üppigen Portionen und die günstigen Preise tun ihr übriges. Der Laden sieht natürlich nicht so hip aus, aber wer mehr Wert auf gutes Essen legt, als in nem tollen Ambiente zwischen coolen Leute zu sitzen, der wird hier mit Sicherheit glücklich.

Leckere vietnamesische Strassenküche, echte Hausmannskost auf gut Deutsch gesagt. Preis Leistung stimmt, sehr zu empfehlen.

So geheim ist der Geheimtipp, dass sogar die Zutaten geheim sind! Das Gericht mit Tamarindensauce und Koriander, war leider nur die Standard Asia laden süß Sauersauce und enthielt weder Tamarinde noch Koriander. Die Portion war dafür ordentlich.

Viel Auswahl an veganen/vegetarischen Gerichten und frisch zubereiteten Fruchtdrinks. Besonders das Gemüse Kokos Curry und der Glasnudelsalat sind empfehlenswert. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und das Essen wird schnell serviert.

Mein persönlicher Lieblingsladen in Plagwitz, die beiden sind immer super lieb und das Essen außergewöhnlich lecker. Die Speisekarte beherbergt viele Gerichte, die beim 0815 Vietnamesen nicht zu finden sind. Es geht immer fix und wird auch in mitgebrachte Dosen abgefüllt. Am liebsten würde ich diesen Geheimtipp für mich behalten, aber die beiden haben es verdient, viel Zulauf zu bekommen.

Dauert leider seine Zeit aber das liegt daran, dass alles frisch zubereitet wird. Authentische Thai-Küche.

Sehr authentische vietnamesische Küche. Bestes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis von allen Vietnamesen in der Nähe .. die Portionen sind wirklich riesig, dazu schmeckt es auch sehr gut.
