Great beer garden and delicious food, also a great cake counter. We love coming here. There is also a nice decoration shop, I always find what I'm looking for there.

Were there for dinner. Very good. But saved on the potato dumplings. It wasn't quite full, it's a shame.

Went for dinner 3 weeks ago. BEEF ROULADE WITH caramelized red cabbage, nothing was caramelized and ice cold. No apology from the chef. So I won't be visiting as a guest anymore.

Yesterday we went to the Geroldsauer Mühle for a quick snack We ordered sausage salad and white sausages (1 pair). Everything was perfectly prepared (sausage salad was a huge portion) it was all very good and tasty! The ambience, including the senior manager who keeps a watchful eye everywhere, was perfect! A gastronomy with heart and soul! Perfection also has its price, which is justified here! We would be happy to come back and are sure that we will be served as nicely as yesterday!

We went there today for a drink after our walk. The reception at the entrance was simply shameful and unacceptable from the old receptionist who clearly turned us away. For an establishment of this standing this is unacceptable!!!

Good restaurant in the Black Forest style. Lots of wood. Good cuisine. Fixed menu with a good selection. Fast service. During the day there is also a large shop with very good specialties. Food but also other things.

Super nice restaurant with delicious food. However, the burger was a bit dry and in our opinion there wasn't enough sauce for the fries. The other dishes we had tasted great. Only the service leaves something to be desired. Drinks were empty on the table and no one asked for new drinks. After the meal we cleared away and after that it felt like our table was no longer taken care of. We had to speak to the service staff for our dessert. This is often offered to you directly.

We visited the inn today. The ambience is beautiful and furnished with a lot of love in a rustic charm. The order is placed within 5 minutes. After the drinks, the food was brought quickly. The waiter was very friendly. Unfortunately, the taste of the food neither matched the high-quality ambience nor the price-performance ratio. Unfortunately, with a burger for just under 25 euros where you could count the fries and the bread was completely crumbly, you can't speak of a taste experience. What I found worst, however, was that we had to wait 40 minutes after eating to be able to place further orders such as dessert or coffee. There was simply no waiter, it seemed more important to clear other tables. So after eating we weren't asked if we would like to order anything else. Even if there is a lot going on, this shouldn't be the norm. Annoyed, I informed the employees at the counter twice that we would like to order more. We would certainly have increased sales significantly if the service had been right. Conclusion: Friendliness alone and a nice ambience are not enough to meet the needs of a guest. In my opinion, the core is a taste experience with good, attentive waiters. However, this should not be perceived as negative criticism, but rather as a suggestion for improvement.

Bakery Dreher from Gernsbach is the shop-in-shop tenant here. Delicious baked goods, tasty coffee. The delicatessen supermarket, also rented with an operator model, offers a wide selection.

Highly recommended, reservation is advantageous.

This was our second time staying here as we were visiting family in Baden-Baden. Lunch was okay this time, but we remembered it tasting better from last time. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the upper range, but this is understandable given its proximity to Baden-Baden. We find the combination of a small supermarket, bakery, butcher shop with Black Forest specialties and a charming shop with beautiful decorations particularly appealing. The rooms are solid and the breakfast area is acceptable - nothing extraordinary but sufficient. Overall, we felt comfortable and would like to come back if we had the opportunity. There was a very nice flu build up outside at Christmas

This is a beautiful spot with stunning scenery all around. We made a quick stop here and ordered coffee, which was decent but not as fresh as we'd hoped. The lady at the counter wasn't particularly friendly, either. However, the location itself is perfect for a brief stop. With its natural beauty and cozy ambience, it's an ideal place to take a relaxing break.

The products in the village shop are totally overpriced

A very nice mill. The Mühlen Restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food was great. The market hall offers a lot of selection. (also a bit expensive.) I would be happy to come back.

We regularly eat at the pub. It's wonderful to sit outside, especially in summer. The food is always great, the menu is changed regularly so you can always vary it. There is a great children's menu and children are warmly welcomed here. There are enough children's chairs, a changing table, painting supplies, a playground and the children's meals are served super quickly. Simply perfect for families. Price-performance is great when you see what decent portions you have on your plate. Here you don't need a starter to fill you up.

Very good experience. The steps to collect the key to our room were very clear and simple. They had even provided bowls for our dog and a free bottle of water for us. We ate very well and the waiters were very pleasant, they came often to see if everything was going well. They gave us a menu in French and we made the effort to speak a word of French with us, we waited very little time to eat and it was very good.

A successful excursion with a culinary highlight We spent a lovely day at the Geroldsau waterfall and rounded off the trip with a visit to the Geroldsau mill. The table was reserved in advance and we were able to stock up on regional specialties in the shop beforehand. The restaurant has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that we have eaten at several times. This time we sat in the quiet fireplace room, which made the atmosphere particularly pleasant. As usual, the food was very tasty, freshly prepared and offered good value for money. The service was friendly, attentive and always courteous. Particularly noteworthy is the family-friendliness of the entire location. We were there for lunch. Roast pork with Brussels sprouts and dumpling. The meat was dry, the sauce was watery and only tasted like caraway, otherwise it had no taste. We choked down the pattex dumplings with an extra ration of sauce. The owner only chatted with regular customers. However, the young service person who served us was very, very nice. For food, no thanks!

Also ich finde das Gasthaus recht teuer! Für ein Wiener Schnitzel, welches nicht übermäßig groß ist, mit Kartoffelsalat und Gurkensalat zu servieren über 32,80 € zu verlangen, schon sehr grenzwertig! Keine sonstigen Beilagen. Die meisten Gericht bekommt man von 20 - 30 €. Ich bin etwas enttäuscht, da ich im Sommer dort schon besser und günstiger gegessen habe. Unsere Servicekraft war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Nice location and interesting little hotel. I would have just liked a little more choice at the breakfast buffet given the price. I thought it was a shame that as a hotel guest you couldn't eat in the restaurant because all the tables were reserved due to several events. It would have been nice if we had been informed of this when booking. I have always associated a visit to the mill (without an overnight stay) with the good food and that's why I wanted to try out the hotel, but it didn't work out with a visit to a restaurant during the overnight stay. Unfortunately, this really messed up my schedule as I had to find an alternative.

Very popular destination on weekends with a large beer garden. We stayed overnight from Sunday to Friday, there isn't that much going on during this time. There is also a gift shop, very lovingly furnished and decorated and there is a small organic market with a bakery, butcher and many regional products. We'll definitely be back!

The service was good. The prices are a bit too high for what is on offer. The portions could also be larger. I expected more in terms of taste.

Ambiance: 👍🏾 Food 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 I'm actually a fan of simple dishes and that includes a Strasbourg sausage salad. But what I was served there had 0.0 something to do with it. It was more like a pickle salad with some sausage and some grated cheese as a topping! The dressing only tasted like cucumber water! Red onions were completely missing and the cheese wasn't mountain cheese like it said on the menu! And that for 15.80 EUR! Overall, a disgrace!!! And when I asked the waiter about the cucumber portion, he asked if he should bring me more cucumbers! If such simple dishes fail, then what about the rest? That's why we didn't order any more Kaiserschmarrn and left hungry!

We drove past here in August and we really enjoyed it. 2 days later we went there specifically and didn't regret it. We only drank something and ate the Kaiserschmarrn (for 2) and it was very tasty 😋. It's a little more expensive compared to other locations, but that's fine when you're on vacation. The mill is beautifully located and the ambience and service are great. Inside you can buy delicacies from the Black Forest. The decoration shop also offers some treasures if you like it. I can't rate the hotel because we were only day guests. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful place here with a wonderful beer garden. Super friendly service and very attentive. Children get crayons and something to color. There is also a small playground near the beer garden.

The food portion at Wirtshaus is on the small side, and the price is quite expensive. Nothing stands out for our dinner. The only available table is at the outside, which detracts from the dinner experience.

Actually a nice overall concept! Gastronomy does not offer an acceptable price-performance ratio for us and, depending on the service staff, you have to wait a long time. The offer in the Mühlenmarkt is appealing. What's particularly annoying on weekends is the traffic lights at the exit. It reacts relatively quickly, but the left turn arrow usually switches on and then has a disproportionately long runtime. Maybe you could change it!

Service war 3-4. Das Essen war eine Frechheit, Schweinebraten mit Knödel. Das Fleisch und die Soße waren lauwarm der Knödel war gummihaft und der Krautsalat er lag im Teller in der Bratensosse, und das für fast € 23. Preis - Leistung unterirdisch. Der Materialeisatz für das Essen liegt bei max. € 5. Und ich weiß von was ich spreche. Zum Service nur so viel, als das Essen kam haben wir die Getränke reklamiert. Das war es dann wohl mit der Mühle in Geroldsau

Fast-Food und Convenience zu Gourmet-Preisen. Ambiente und Lage sind schön, das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich, das war es dann aber auch. Salat aus dem Beutel fad und trocken. Mini-Portion Forelle, auch nicht gerade frisch aus dem Rauch. Preise für das Gebotene an der Grenze zur Frechheit, übrigens auch bei den Getränken. Wir werden uns beim nächsten Mal in Baden Baden anderweitig orientieren.

The Geroldsauer Mühle restaurant feels rustic and has a great atmosphere. However, the food tastes very expensive. What's terrible - the staff often takes a long time to register a new guest. It's best to draw attention to yourself straight away and you'll have a great evening

Really wonderful place! The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The market and restaurant are great! The best part was our waiter, Pablo. He works so hard to make sure that everyone is taken care of and feels special. He made our stay feel like home!

The service staff was unable to respond in a friendly manner. If you have food intolerance, e.g. lactose intolerance, you should avoid this store. You simply get dry asparagus spears and no starter for the same price. Gravy was advertised but simply not delivered. I had to ask 3 times (!). My food was then cold. Really really embarrassing 🙈 Everything is very discriminatory. Overall, the others were also dissatisfied because the food simply had little taste. I will never voluntarily come here again.

As you can now discover in various other posts... ...service underground; Saw the staff for 15 minutes... probably didn't feel like it or, as is so often the case... underrated ...We can't judge the food because we left ...Prices above ground... compared to similar locations, drinks are €0.50 more expensive... about 10% more expensive, but food is a good 30% more expensive. Especially with the “cheap” food. Conclusion for us: stupid people get ripped off

Der Laden ist echt riesig. Umso angenehmer, dass der Service bei vollem Andrang sehr nett und freundlich unterwegs war. Volles Lob hierfür. Überhaupt nicht passend waren die aufgerufenen Preise für Speisen und Getränke. Inflation hin oder her, hier wurde unangemessen aufgeschlagen. Ich habe bei solchen Situationen bei denen ich mich nicht fair behandelt fühle immer ein grummeln im Magen und das kommt nicht von den genossenen Speisen. Aufgrund der Größe vom Restaurant ist es natürlich richtig laut. Schallabsorber würden hier sicherlich eine enorme Verbesserung bringen.

We came here for dinner for a small birthday trip with three people. The service lady was friendly and relatively attentive, even if she unfortunately forgot to mention that there was also asparagus, which wasn't on the menu. I would have LOVED him. We ordered a Hefe, an apple spritzer and a non-alcoholic Pils - which then became a non-alcoholic Hefe. Not a big deal, it can happen and they immediately offered to replace it. The handling of the complaint was exemplary. The food, twice burgers, once zander was very good. There was plenty of it and it was tasty. The waiting time was reasonable. The price. Well, it's not a cheap, I'll-hit-my-stomach-full-of-cheap-food kind of place, which is something that many in our country have a hard time with, in my experience. Above all, food has to be plenty and cheap... Around 90 euros for three main courses and three drinks is still okay for what's on offer. And you also pay a little for the very nice ambience inside. A house made entirely of wood, no nails used in the construction (I was told) is something special. And a veal schnitzel for 26 or 28 euros, which was criticized in another review, is absolutely reasonable. Veal is pretty much the most expensive meat you can buy.... If you want to treat yourself to regional and down-to-earth food in a beautiful ambience and are not forced to save money, this is the right place for you. I can make a recommendation.

Have been here quite a lot for food and usually it’s decent if a bit expensive. Today it was very busy and they forgot about our order. Waited over an hour then paid for our drinks and left. Waiter had a shrug shoulders, nothing I can do attitude. Pretty poor.

With the best weather, we (5 people) wanted to eat and drink something in the beer garden today. A total of three service staff were walking around in the immediate vicinity of us. After over 15 minutes of no service we decided to leave. After I gave personal feedback on the situation, the only answer I got was that this couldn't be the case - unbelievable. Rarely experienced such poor service, apparently you didn't need it...

Work colleague meeting. The food was all described as delicious. The service with Pablo deserves special mention here. He comes across as very personable, responds to the guests, is quick-witted with wit and humor but is not intrusive. A man who enjoys his work and his guests. I hope he won't be slowed down by his superiors because he is a real asset to the service company. Pablo keep it up, we really enjoyed it.

Auf einer Schwarzwaldtour mit Freunden kehrten wir auf meine Empfehlung mit sechs Personen ohne Reservierung im Wirtshaus der Geroldsauer Mühle ein. Die ist ja nicht schwer zu finden, wenn man von der B 500 in Richtung Baden-Baden fährt. Den Freunden zeigte ich zunächst das bemerkenswerte Weißtannen-Gebäude und die interessanten Spezialiäten-Läden darin. Wir gingen durch das Wirthaus, das an diesem Sonntagmittag bis fast auf den letzten Platz besetzt war. Wir suchten uns bei frühlingshaftem Wetter einen Tisch im Freien. Speisekarten, Getränkeaufnahme war fix erledigt. Sechs unterschiedliche Hauptspeisen aufgenommen und nach kurzer Zeit fast gleichzeitig aufgetragen zeigt die Effizienz dieses Gastronomie-Betriebes. Die Speisen- und Getränkekarte ist vielfältig, die Kuchenauswahl drinnen ganz beachtlich! Wir waren wieder beeindruckt, wieviele Bedienungen sich um die Gäste kümmerten, darunter erfreulich viele sehr junge Nachwuchs- oder Aushilfskräfte, die ihren Job engagiert erledigten. Auch der Chef des Hauses ist sich nicht zu schade, ein Wort mit den Gästen zu wechseln und selbst Geschirr abzuräumen. Meine Freunde waren alle sehr angetan von dieser Location und dem Mittagessen. Ich selbst kann sagen, dass ich hier seit Jahren noch NIE einen Reinfall erlebt habe und IMMER vom Service beeindruckt war. Wir werden ganz bestimmt wiederkommen!

Really a very nice atmosphere, friendly service but the prices are simply exorbitant. Burger with fries for €22.80, Viennese schnitzel with potato salad for €29.80. Sorry, but the family trip becomes a luxury vacation.

From 9.45 p.m. the announcement of the eviction by turning off the lights twice in the restaurant, that doesn't work at all. That was the lowest level, as was the service. The Maultaschen were carelessly served in a bowl on potato salad with far too many fried onions. Awful !

We stayed in the Merkur Suite and were very satisfied, everything is clean, well-kept, modern and stylishly furnished. Delicious, rich breakfast... All fresh products... The staff was always extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. The food in the inn was plentiful, high quality, a daily pleasure. Another tip: The bakery in the house has very good delicious baked goods! Price-performance is right! We spent a lot nice days in the Geroldsau mill, and would love to come back.

Had dinner today for the first time in a long time! Roast pork for 21.80 was served 3 times after complaining twice and on the last attempt it was hot instead of cold and lukewarm! The matjes was good, but without the apple cucumber cream as described on the menu (vertig sauce) I personally find the ALCOHOL-FREE WHEAT BEER for 5.40 euros to be excessively expensive.

As always, the food tasted very good. We have never had such good service, thank you Pablo. We look forward to being served by you again soon.
