Great evening! Great food & service! We went to Georg's Fischerhütte with a group, and everything was perfectly organized from the start. We made a reservation for the evening. The service was truly attentive. The waiter was always there, friendly, and asked if we needed anything else, never being intrusive. Very pleasant! The food was simply delicious. The fish platter was perfectly prepared and superbly seasoned. The portion was also just right. We particularly liked the grilled vegetables as a side dish; it was beautifully presented. The wine went well with it, and even the Garafen water with ice and lemon was served with love. The location is truly beautifully designed. You almost feel like you're by the sea. Everything is stylish, cozy, and with attention to detail. The price-performance ratio is absolutely perfect here. Many thanks to the entire team for the great service and the delicious food. We would definitely come back!

We visited Georg's Fischer Restaurant last Saturday and were overwhelmed by the fresh fish. We ordered crispy fish with a fresh mixed salad and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. Thank you very much for the delicious food. Bruno & Elisabeth Krauer from Switzerland.

Nach längerer Zeit waren wir gestern wieder einmal in Georg's Fischerhütte und sind enttäuscht nach Hause gefahren. Die servierten Speisen wurden in grosser Quantität aber in diskutierbarer Qualität serviert. Schlimm empfanden wir jedoch die Weinpreise. Eine Flasche Müller-Thurgau des örtlichen Winzervereins wurde mit über 32 Euro in Rechnung gestellt. Bei unserem anschliessenden Einkauf bei eben diesem Winzerverein sahen wir die Flasche (für den privaten Käufer) für knapp über 7 Euro. Ich überlasse es dem Leser war er von dieser Preiskalkulation hält, wir finden sie unverschämt.

I loved the ambiance in this restaurant. However, I was disappointed with the food. We had turkey schnitzel with a pile of fries, salad, and mussels with a crispy baguette. Overall, we rated the food (excluding the salad) 5 out of 10. The pile of fries on the turkey schnitzel was more like a mound, and I would give it a 4 out of 10. Four of the mussels were empty. The service was friendly but didn't pay attention to the empty mussels. Overall, we expected a bit more than we got for the price we paid.

The fish soup was good. The toasted bread was a bit too oily for me. My fingers were covered in oil. The price was reasonable.

Absolutely adorable! You can sit under a pretty patio roof, protected from wind and sun, and enjoy the best fish from Lake Constance. Excellent service. Parking is available, as are bicycle parking. A 7-minute e-bike ride from the ferry. The ferry to Allensbach runs a few times a day, but it does run. More often during peak season. Definitely recommended. 🤩

Very friendly staff, the food came quickly, and it tasted excellent. It's a cozy and quaint restaurant. I would have loved to celebrate my birthday there, but unfortunately, the restaurant closes at the end of October. The view of the lake is fantastic. We'll definitely be back. I’ve lived in Konstanz for five years and I can confidently say this is among the best restaurants in the area. I’ve been here 5-6 times and the food was delicious every time. Everything is fresh, from the fish to the side salad. The location is beautiful, too and the service is also excellent. In a sea of mediocre restaurants, this one stands out for its excellent quality and reliability (never had a dish that wasn’t excellent).

Fish platter for two people. Amazing - you should really come hungry. The platter is outstanding. If you're going to eat in Reichenau, you should reserve a table at Georg's Hütte...

First-class food. We had very large portions of homemade fish crisps made from local fish with salad or potato salad, and once a baked potato with salmon. Highly recommended. A very quiet location with a beautiful lake view and friendly service. Unfortunately, the service was very reserved and communication wasn't perfect. But everything was excellent, and we'll definitely be back. We've eaten here several times.

Based on the reviews, we visited the Fischerhütte. The ambiance was great, the service was good, but the food was terrible: the baked potato wasn't cooked through, but the crispy fish was even worse, hard on the outside and chewy on the inside – it wasn't the first time they'd been in the fryer before I ordered it. In a restaurant of this price range, the potato salad should also be homemade. The server offered me a dessert from the house. We won't be back.

In Germany, eating lake fish (whitefish, char, zander and trout) cooked really well is a rarity, but if you visit Constance and the surrounding area, don't miss a stop at this characteristic wooden restaurant with a veranda on the lake. I recommend a good bottle of local white wine with the fish course, as an Italian I can say that it is exceptional. Well done to the managers and congratulations.

Unfortunately, the prices are more like those of a fish restaurant. The fish is fresh from Lake Constance, with a few exceptions. Service is good, although the waitresses barely spoke German. Beautiful view of the lake. Bicycle parking in the blazing sun. It heats up the saddle and the bike considerably. They could build a small roof over it.

Wir waren zu zweit da, viel freie Plätze. Der Octopussalat war zäh wie Gummibärchen, der Salat dazu war ok. Es gibt kein Brot oder Baquette dazu. Dafür ist es viel zu teuer. Der Kellner war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

The fisherman's hut is in a wonderful location. The staff is very friendly. We treated ourselves to an iced coffee, which was very good. The furniture is very original, made of twisted and glued wooden branches. The prices are more than reasonable for such a prime location. In this wonderful spot, you feel like you're in Hungary or Croatia.

Only the view is good. The potato salad, in my opinion, is a convenience product, as is the remoulade. No comparison to Riebels, which are much better.

There seem to be new owners. We like fish sandwiches in regular rolls and weren't so keen on the whole-wheat roll. The fish meatball didn't taste like homemade. The ones from Norma are better. All in all, we were very disappointed with what we got for so much money. We used to enjoy going to Georg's, but we won't be doing that anymore.

We had reserved a table that was completely in the sun. After consulting with the staff, we were able to move it into the shade. Our dogs were with us — water for the dogs was only provided upon request. The food arrived quickly. We ordered the large fish platter for two people. The portion size was meager overall. Some types of fish only served one piece. The char tasted like soap. The side dishes were also very limited, and the grilled vegetables were very oily. The fish platter tasted okay, and the service was friendly. We paid just under €80 for 1 liter of water, two coffees, and the fish platter. The quality and portion sizes used to be much better here. We will look for alternatives in the future.

A real insider tip on the island of Reichenau! Georg’s Fischerhütte is an idyllic fish restaurant right on the lake – with a fantastic view over the water and an atmosphere that invites you to linger. The highlight of my visit were the fresh “Fisch-Knusperle” – wonderfully crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. There is also a side dish of your choice and a perfectly coordinated tartare sauce, which rounds off the taste of the dish. You can taste the freshness of Lake Constance in every bite. The service was attentive, warm and down-to-earth – exactly what you would want in a place like this.

Fresh fish, beautiful views and great service.

We were super excited. Even though we came by spontaneously and the restaurant was quite fully booked, we were still able to get a seat. But I recommend making a reservation, otherwise you might not get a table. We had a starter soup (fish soup with vegetables) and a piece of baguette with garlic oil. So the start was really tasty. During this time, our kids ate their children's meal Dori (fish nuggets with fries) and were satisfied. Very well thought out that the two of them didn't have to wait until after our starter. We've had different experiences in other restaurants. For the main course we had zander and char, both with spinach potatoes. We were very happy with it. It was absolutely delicious, everything was freshly prepared and of good quality. The tartar sauce that was served with it was also very tasty. I then drank an espresso, which I can absolutely recommend. Overall, we were absolutely satisfied and would come back at any time. We were also happy to give an appropriate tip. Keep it up :-)

In unserem Urlaub hatten wir Plätze für 2 Personen bereits online reserviert, dafür auch eine Bestätigung erhalten. Als wir ankamen wusste kein Mitarbeiter darüber Bescheid. Es gab nur Kopfschütteln, auch beim Chef. Wir wurden unwillig im Durchang zum Nebenraum an einem kleinen Tisch platziert. Tisch war nicht wirklich sauber und wackelte, ebenso die Stühle. Die Speisekarte wirkte abgegriffen und lag direkt auf dem Behälter mit dem Besteck/Servietten auf unserem Tisch. In unmittelbarer Sichtweite gab es Regale und einen Ablagetisch, welche ein fürchterliches Durcheinander an halb aufgerissenen Kartons, irgendwelcher abgelgter Papiere und sogar einer Flasche mit einem Medikament boten. Alles sehr unsauber. Die Verkabelung diverser Küchengeräte hing abenteuerlich in der Luft, bestückt mit hintereinander geschalteten Verteilersteckedosen aller Art. Die Speisekarte erinnert an einen Imbiss, sehr unübersichtlich und weder das Angebot, noch die Preise stimmten mit der Karte auf der Webseite überein. Sämtliche Gläser hingen in unmittelbarer Nähe der Küchenzeile (zum Gastraum offen), wo viel frittiert wurde... Die Fischsuppe war sehr überwürzt und die Fischeinlage bestand offensichtlich aus Resten. Das "Reichenauer Gemüse" in der Suppe bestand ausschließlich aus ein paar Karottenstückchen. Der Salat sah auf den ersten Blick gut aus, unter den oberen Blättern aber schon älter und sehr zweifelhaft, ebenso abgestanden mit Rändern präsentierte sich die sehr feste Remoulade, die wir besser stehen ließen. Der Fisch vom Grill war reich an Gräten und schmeckte fad. Die Bedienung war sehr bemüht, was aber die vielen Mängel nicht kompensieren konnte. Insgesamt alles sehr lieblos und uns ging es am nächsten Tag nicht wirklich gut.....Nichts gegen ein rustikales Restaurant aber Ordnung, Sauberkeit, Organisation und Frische der Speisen sind das A und O der Gastronomie.

Beware if you intend to bring children to dine here. While the scenery is gorgeous, the amount of little shards of bones in my fish soup was enough to keep me engaged till well after my main was served. The main, a purported fish fillet, was riddled with scales and bones. I returned the main after 2 bites. When I asked the server about the sheer number of bones she simply said it's fish so... 🤷 and cleared it before I had a chance to take a photograph. It was, most definitely, was not a fillet of fish.

Nice fish restaurant with a view of Lake Constance. I ate very good fish (kretzer, whitefish, zander) on salad with an excellent dressing. It's definitely not the last time I've been to Georg's fishing hut. Unfortunately closed over winter, but next spring will definitely come.

Hidden in the farthest corner of Reichenau. I didn't know until now. But it's really worth a visit. Fish crispy pearl with a difference; crisp salads, you can tell that they grow right on your doorstep. The whole family was thrilled.

Unfortunately, my visit to this fish restaurant was a real disappointment. On the fish platter, a piece of fish (perch/egli/kretzer) tasted noticeably of gasoline. When I pointed this out to the waiter, I got the absurd answer that the fish generally has an intense taste and, for him personally, tasted "unpleasant and nauseating" and that this was so normal. Such a reaction is not only unprofessional but also worrying. I expect perfect food from a restaurant, not such an unpleasant aftertaste. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and will certainly not go there again.

Es nennt sich Restaurant, entspricht aber eher einer Blockhütte mit einem schönen Ausblick, die auf Massentourismus ausgelegt ist. Profit scheint an erster Stelle zu stehen, der Kellner machte einen ungepflegten Eindruck, war unhöflich bis frech. Der Gast hat gefälligst zu warten bis er bedient wird; das Essen unangemessen teuer und z.T. qualitativ miserabel und nicht den geforderten hohen Preisen gemäß, Reklamationen erzeugen freche Reaktionen bei der Bedienung.

Il posto è molto particolare, tutto in legno, con vista sul lago (parzialmente occultata da alcuni garage). Se fossi tedesca darei voto 4 perché abbiamo mangiato bene e un po' diverso dai soliti ristoranti a base di wurstel. Do voto 3 perché il menù è solo in tedesco, le cameriere vedendoci in difficoltà non hanno fatto il minimo accenno ad aiutarci. Io posso anche ordinare a caso (infatti alla fine ho ordinato e ricevuto tutt'altro da quello che mi aspettavo !), ma avendo bambina al seguito dovevo trovare qualcosa che potesse andare bene. Capisco che il turismo a Costanza sia perlopiù locale, ma un menù in inglese si potrebbe anche fare...o almeno lo sforzo di quattro parole in inglese... anche questo è sinonimo di ospitalità e cura verso il cliente.

The food was really delicious. Portions big enough and perfectly prepared. You can taste that it is vegetables from Reichenau. Juicy tomatoes and full-bodied rocket. Excellent fish. Very appetizingly prepared. Prices are not really low budget but the food is worth it. Service very friendly and accommodating. It is incomprehensible what criticism some people are making here. Where I unfortunately have to agree, therefore only four stars, is the confusing menu.

Sehr gemütlich, schön eingerichtet mit Hütten Charakter.Essen lecker. Aber die Preise sind unverschämt teuer. Über die letzten Jahre gab es eine enorme Preissteigerung die nicht verhältnismäßig ist. Das günstigste Fischfilet kostet 21 Euro OHNE Beilage. Die Beilagen kosten extra, Kartoffeln etwas 4,90 Euro. Es handelt sich um ein einfaches Restaurant, kein gehobenes. Sehr sehr schade, war einmal ein Lieblingsort aber der Preis stimmt leider überhaupt nicht mehr.

Totally overpriced # Chaotically structured menu # The quality, taste and presentation of the dishes are suboptimal or clearly in need of improvement for the price range. # The great location and the seductive smell as you walked/cycled past led you to suspect that there was a delicious beach/fish restaurant here, which unfortunately didn't turn out to be the case at all afterwards. It's a shame, we won't be coming back here, but next time we'd rather try something else on the beautiful island of Reichenau.

Good fish restaurant on the island of Reichenau on Lake Constance. Fish is fresh. Orders are taken quickly and the dishes are on the table quickly. Even when there is a lot of activity. Food tastes good, even if the price is a bit higher.

Everything is fine, but beware of going there at peak time when the weather is great...

To charge 23 to 25 euros for a fish fillet and an extra 6.50 euros for side dishes like potatoes, that's really audacious. Portions were large and looked good. We still went back. You don't have to let yourself be ripped off.

We spontaneously went out to eat in Georg's fishing hut that evening and were just lucky to get a seat as a lot of people came shortly afterwards. It's better to reserve in advance to make sure you get a spot. The crispy fish pearls are really good and so is the accompanying tartar sauce. However, there isn't much of a vegetarian choice, and the veggie plate is a bit boring. Still a nice place for fish lovers!

Super rustic location. The food is really delicious. The portions are generous and it looks delicious too. Here you can also eat gluten-free without any problems.

Crispy fish with salad for €22.90: Crispy fish were quite good, the salad was very wet, little dressing. When asked, they promised bread with the salad but it never came. The ambience is quite nice. But the gastronomy no longer has anything to do with the namesake Georg.
