Georg's Fischerhütte Fischrestaurant

In unserem Urlaub hatten wir Plätze für 2 Personen bereits online reserviert, dafür auch eine Bestätigung erhalten. Als wir ankamen wusste kein Mitarbeiter darüber Bescheid. Es gab nur Kopfschütteln, auch beim Chef. Wir wurden unwillig im Durchang zum Nebenraum an einem kleinen Tisch platziert. Tisch war nicht wirklich sauber und wackelte, ebenso die Stühle. Die Speisekarte wirkte abgegriffen und lag direkt auf dem Behälter mit dem Besteck/Servietten auf unserem Tisch. In unmittelbarer Sichtweite gab es Regale und einen Ablagetisch, welche ein fürchterliches Durcheinander an halb aufgerissenen Kartons, irgendwelcher abgelgter Papiere und sogar einer Flasche mit einem Medikament boten. Alles sehr unsauber. Die Verkabelung diverser Küchengeräte hing abenteuerlich in der Luft, bestückt mit hintereinander geschalteten Verteilersteckedosen aller Art. Die Speisekarte erinnert an einen Imbiss, sehr unübersichtlich und weder das Angebot, noch die Preise stimmten mit der Karte auf der Webseite überein. Sämtliche Gläser hingen in unmittelbarer Nähe der Küchenzeile (zum Gastraum offen), wo viel frittiert wurde... Die Fischsuppe war sehr überwürzt und die Fischeinlage bestand offensichtlich aus Resten. Das "Reichenauer Gemüse" in der Suppe bestand ausschließlich aus ein paar Karottenstückchen. Der Salat sah auf den ersten Blick gut aus, unter den oberen Blättern aber schon älter und sehr zweifelhaft, ebenso abgestanden mit Rändern präsentierte sich die sehr feste Remoulade, die wir besser stehen ließen. Der Fisch vom Grill war reich an Gräten und schmeckte fad. Die Bedienung war sehr bemüht, was aber die vielen Mängel nicht kompensieren konnte. Insgesamt alles sehr lieblos und uns ging es am nächsten Tag nicht wirklich gut.....Nichts gegen ein rustikales Restaurant aber Ordnung, Sauberkeit, Organisation und Frische der Speisen sind das A und O der Gastronomie.

We were super excited. Even though we came by spontaneously and the restaurant was pretty much fully booked, we were still able to get a seat. But I recommend making a reservation, otherwise you might not get a table. We had a starter soup (fish soup with vegetables) and a piece of baguette with garlic oil. So the start was really tasty. During this time, our kids ate their children's meal Dori (fish nuggets with fries) and were satisfied. Very well thought out that the two of them don't have to wait until after our starter. We've had different experiences in other restaurants. For the main course we had zander and char, both with spinach potatoes. We were very happy with it. It was absolutely delicious, everything was freshly prepared and of good quality. The tartar sauce that was served with it was also very tasty. I then drank an espresso, which I can absolutely recommend. Overall, we were absolutely satisfied and would come back at any time. We were also happy to give an appropriate tip. Keep it up :-)

Beware if you intend to bring children to dine here. While the scenery is gorgeous, the amount of little shards of bones in my fish soup was enough to keep me engaged till well after my main was served. The main, a purported fish fillet, was riddled with scales and bones. I returned the main after 2 bites. When I asked the server about the sheer number of bones she simply said it's fish so... 🤷 and cleared it before I had a chance to take a photograph. It was, most definitely, was not a fillet of fish.

Very busy when the weather is good. Rustic atmosphere. Delicious fish. Fair prices.

Nice fish restaurant with a view of Lake Constance. I ate very good fish (kretzer, whitefish, zander) on salad with an excellent dressing. It's definitely not the last time I've been to Georg's fishing hut. Unfortunately closed over winter, but next spring will definitely come.

Hidden in the farthest corner of Reichenau. I didn't know until now. But it's really worth a visit. Fish crispy pearl with a difference; crisp salads, you can tell that they grow right on your doorstep. The whole family was thrilled.

Unfortunately, my visit to this fish restaurant was a real disappointment. On the fish platter, a piece of fish (perch/egli/kretzer) tasted noticeably of gasoline. When I pointed this out to the waiter, I got the absurd answer that the fish generally has an intense taste and, for him personally, tasted "unpleasant and nauseating" and that this was so normal. Such a reaction is not only unprofessional but also worrying. I expect perfect food from a restaurant, not such an unpleasant aftertaste. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and will certainly not go there again.

Es nennt sich Restaurant, entspricht aber eher einer Blockhütte mit einem schönen Ausblick, die auf Massentourismus ausgelegt ist. Profit scheint an erster Stelle zu stehen, der Kellner machte einen ungepflegten Eindruck, war unhöflich bis frech. Der Gast hat gefälligst zu warten bis er bedient wird; das Essen unangemessen teuer und z.T. qualitativ miserabel und nicht den geforderten hohen Preisen gemäß, Reklamationen erzeugen freche Reaktionen bei der Bedienung.

Il posto è molto particolare, tutto in legno, con vista sul lago (parzialmente occultata da alcuni garage). Se fossi tedesca darei voto 4 perché abbiamo mangiato bene e un po' diverso dai soliti ristoranti a base di wurstel. Do voto 3 perché il menù è solo in tedesco, le cameriere vedendoci in difficoltà non hanno fatto il minimo accenno ad aiutarci. Io posso anche ordinare a caso (infatti alla fine ho ordinato e ricevuto tutt'altro da quello che mi aspettavo !), ma avendo bambina al seguito dovevo trovare qualcosa che potesse andare bene. Capisco che il turismo a Costanza sia perlopiù locale, ma un menù in inglese si potrebbe anche fare...o almeno lo sforzo di quattro parole in inglese... anche questo è sinonimo di ospitalità e cura verso il cliente.

The food was really delicious. Portions big enough and perfectly prepared. You can taste that it is vegetables from Reichenau. Juicy tomatoes and full-bodied rocket. Excellent fish. Very appetizingly prepared. Prices are not really low budget but the food is worth it. Service very friendly and accommodating. It is incomprehensible what criticism some people are making here. Where I unfortunately have to agree, therefore only four stars, is the confusing menu.

Sehr gemütlich, schön eingerichtet mit Hütten Charakter.Essen lecker. Aber die Preise sind unverschämt teuer. Über die letzten Jahre gab es eine enorme Preissteigerung die nicht verhältnismäßig ist. Das günstigste Fischfilet kostet 21 Euro OHNE Beilage. Die Beilagen kosten extra, Kartoffeln etwas 4,90 Euro. Es handelt sich um ein einfaches Restaurant, kein gehobenes. Sehr sehr schade, war einmal ein Lieblingsort aber der Preis stimmt leider überhaupt nicht mehr.

The food was really delicious, but the prices are very high. Around €20-25 for a fish fillet plus another €4-6 for a side dish.

Totally overpriced # Chaotically structured menu # The quality, taste and presentation of the dishes are suboptimal or clearly in need of improvement for the price range. # The great location and the seductive smell as you walked/cycled past led you to suspect that there was a delicious beach/fish restaurant here, which unfortunately didn't turn out to be the case at all afterwards. It's a shame, we won't be coming back here, but next time we'd rather try something else on the beautiful island of Reichenau.

Good fish restaurant on the island of Reichenau on Lake Constance. Fish is fresh. Orders are taken quickly and the dishes are on the table quickly. Even when there is a lot of activity. Food tastes good, even if the price is a bit higher.

Everything is fine, but beware of going there at peak time when the weather is great...

To charge 23 to 25 euros for a fish fillet and an extra 6.50 euros for side dishes like potatoes, that's really audacious. Portions were large and looked good. We still went back. You don't have to let yourself be ripped off.

We spontaneously went out to eat in Georg's fishing hut that evening and were just lucky to get a seat as a lot of people came shortly afterwards. It's better to reserve in advance to make sure you get a spot. The crispy fish pearls are really good and so is the accompanying tartar sauce. However, there isn't much of a vegetarian choice, and the veggie plate is a bit boring. Still a nice place for fish lovers!

Super rustic location. The food is really delicious. The portions are generous and it looks delicious too. Here you can also eat gluten-free without any problems.

Crispy fish with salad for €22.90: Crispy fish were quite good, the salad was very wet, little dressing. When asked, they promised bread with the salad but it never came. The ambience is quite nice. But the gastronomy no longer has anything to do with the namesake Georg.

A very tasty restaurant with a focus on fish and Lake Constance fish. The restaurant is located directly on the lake and the beautifully designed terrace has a view of the water. The restaurant is easy to reach on foot, by bike or, as I did, by kayak. Unfortunately I can't say anything about possible parking spaces. The food was very tasty, I had char fillets with spinach potatoes. The fish was tender, grilled to perfection and, in my case, completely boneless. The portions were rather large and half a portion would have been enough for me on the hot day (a medium to good eater). For the good and generous portion of char with the spinach potatoes, a drink plus espresso and a good tip, I spent €40 rounded up and it was worth every cent. It should be noted that the main courses do not include a side dish and you have to order it additionally. The service was also good and quick. The deduction is for reasons of sympathy but nothing serious, perhaps depending on the day. The waiter was there very quickly to take the order and the food came in a few minutes. We just drank and it was very good

First of all, the restaurant is located directly on the lake and there are only a few parking spaces, so you should park in the parking lot a little further up, which is free from 6 p.m. The food is great and anyone who likes fish will get their money's worth here. A few other dishes are also on the menu. The service is friendly and there is usually a seat. To be on the safe side, it's better to make a reservation. The side dishes cost extra! We are happy to recommend it.

Ich hatte einen gegrillten Ziegenkäse mit Reichenauer Genüse bestellt. Der Ziegenkäse war von außen ein bisschen angewärmt, innen kalt. Nachdem ich ihn reklamiert hatte, wurde er nochmal ordentlich serviert. Das Gemüse war z.T. gut, z.T. aber bitter, weil zu alt. Zuhause hätte ich das so nicht mehr serviert. Da ich von der Aushilfe gefragt wurde, ob das Essen ok war und das Preisniveau hoch ist, habe ich detailliert Feedback gegeben. Der Chef kam zum Kassieren, keinerlei Reaktion auf das schlechte Feedback… ob die Gäste zufrieden sind oder nicht, scheint ihn überhaupt nicht zu interessieren. Aus meiner Sicht Beruf verfehlt-ich rate ab von diesem Lokal.

Great evening experience on a Thursday evening. We received something shortly before the kitchen closed, which was very nice. Price was reasonable, we paid between 35 and 50 euros per person including drinks. Service was very friendly and the fish, as well as the side dishes, were very tasty and the portions were appropriate. Hidden on the shore very nice view. We recommend this restaurant and will come back sometime :)

Right at the start of our vacation we discovered this picturesque, rustic restaurant with a great view of the lake. We were greeted very friendly and advised on the selection and composition of our meals. We decided on the zander fillet with parsley potatoes and the crispy with oven-roasted vegetables and we didn't regret it; it was very delicious. What was unusual for us was that you sometimes have to order the side dishes separately to the main course, which should be taken into account in terms of price. We paid around €65 for two people including drinks. On our last day of vacation we also came to Georg's Fischerhütte at lunchtime. Even though the outside terrace was full, we received a very friendly welcome and were allowed to take a seat inside. Since it was very quaint and cozy there too, we stayed at the front window table and were able to enjoy the view as well. This time we decided on the Georg's Prey salad plate with three fish fillets and the Knuspersee salad plate. Both were large portions, the salad was fresh and tasty and so was the fish. Finally, a delicious ice cream parlor. We were served very attentively and friendly by the nice waitress Alona. A thank you to the entire team! We can highly recommend visiting this restaurant and would be happy to come back.

For a rainy, cool day at the end of May, it was too cold in the dining room and there was no wind protection. Almost all of the dishes are offered without side dishes. The side dishes ordered were very clear for all 11 in the group for the price asked.

Food was great, there were a large group of people because paying was at the checkout, you had to stand in line to pay.. not so nice for a restaurant in this price range. It would be more polite if you could pay at the table...

A beautiful Fish restaurant in an amazing location. The experience comes with a gorgeous view to the lake, delicious food made with local and fresh ingredients, a fun atmosphere and incredible service. For 4 people, each having our own meal, and quite a few drinks we spent around €150, but there are ways to get off cheaper - for example the fish platter, although advertised as for 1, or 2 people, it can easily feed from 2 -4 people. I would come here again, given the chance 5⭐

Good, honest cuisine works differently. Side dishes cost extra, tartar sauce was Miracle Wip. Staff acted friendly. We were disappointed.

Today we had dinner with 9 people and were offered a freshly caught large pike. This was then prepared for us in the oven with delicious side dishes. Before that there was a very good appetizer platter. The food was excellent and very plentiful. The service was also very good. The price was also reasonable.

White fish fillets too dry. Small portions and especially accompaniments to pay extra even though the menu indicates the opposite. Slow service. Disappointing given the good (unverified) ratings on Google!

We were there “twice” yesterday - the first time and the LAST time. Ambiance is ok - nice by the lake - but that's it. Pike fillet with far too many bones - all the fish fillets on the fish plate were fried too long and completely dark. Reichenauer grilled vegetables as a side dish consisted of 50% onions - prices don't match this subterranean quality at all.

Der bestellte Saibling war schmackhaft, das Reichenauer Gemüse war in der Auswahl sowie der Menge unzureichend.Eine Gemüsesuppe war unansehnlich und hatte wenig Gemüse.

We had a fish platter for two. The service was quick and very friendly. The fish platter was large and the grilled vegetables were nice and crunchy. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. If it ever happens that we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Fish was bad. There were four of us there, my friend's parents ate trout and pike fillet, which resulted in a severe upset stomach in the evening. The fish was probably no longer fresh.

Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated a lot, fish crispies were very thin and dry, the salad used to be a joke, only leaf lettuce and a few olives, the grilled vegetables were very fatty and sometimes bitter. It's really a shame. The rump steak was prepared again without any problems as it was done medium well instead of medium rare. Unfortunately we had to wait half an hour until it was served, even though only 3 tables were occupied. The service was very friendly, unfortunately that wasn't enough.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 4 Personen auf 13 Uhr reserviert und betraten ca. 5 Minuten davor das Lokal. Bis die Getränkebestellung aufgenommen wurde, vergingen rund 15 Minuten. Anstatt eines bestellten Viertel Rotwein, wurde ein Viertel Weißwein gebracht. Bis dann der richtige Wein kam, waren locker weitere 10 Minuten vorüber. Die Essensbestellung zog sich ebenfalls wie Gummi in die Länge, es vergingen danach nochmals ca. 10 Minuten. Seit Betreten des Lokals waren jetzt in Summe 35 Minuten vergangen (13:30 Uhr), wir waren immer noch gut gelaunt und zuversichtlich. Weil an Tischen um uns herum, Gästen die später kamen, bereits Essen serviert wurde, haben wir um 14:20 Uhr beim Kellner nachgefragt, ob wir vergessen wurden. Den interessierte dies wenig und er fragte nur "und"....., wir kämen bald dran. Unsere 4 Essen wurden dann um 14:30 Uhr an den Tisch gebracht. Das Lokal hat total überteuerte Preise, bei 3 verschiedenen Fischfilets für ca. 22 € war nicht mal eine einzige Beilage dabei. Beilagen konnte man für rund 4,50 € pro Beilage dazubestellen. Das Service - (Fach) - Personal räumt die Gläser auf eine sehr rustikale Art ab, es wird von oben mit den Fingern in die Gläser gegriffen, so kann man mit nur 1 Hand 4 Gläser mit einem Griff abräumen. Das Ganze ist nur eklig, weil man davon ausgehen kann, dass mit den gleichen ungewaschenen Händen, einem dann das Essen serviert wird! Das Resümee von 4 enttäuschten Gästen, einmal und nie wieder Georgs Fischerhütte!

Der Salat ist ein wenig rustikal aber sehr lecker. Das Restaurant würde ich jedem empfehlen, der Fisch vom Bodensee essen möchte. Der Fisch war sehr lecker. Falls ich mal wieder in der Umgebung essen gehe, werde ich dort hingehen.

An sich nett,aber wenn ich auf ein lächerliches Eis eine halbe Stunde warten muss, sorry.
