Einfach top! Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service einfach mega! Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames und herzliches Personal. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Die Atmosphäre ist gemütlich und das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt ebenfalls. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen!

Es ist 20:30 Uhr, Sie sind nach einer elfstündigen Reise gerade in Potsdam angekommen. Sie haben zwar noch nicht so großen Hunger, wissen aber, dass Sie etwas essen müssen. Kommen Sie hierher und bestellen Sie den kleinen Salat – er ist köstlich, wird mit sautierten Champignons und geriebenem Käse serviert und ist genau das Richtige für den Abend. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, und Sie können, wenn Sie möchten, draußen sitzen und die Straßenbahnen beobachten.

Gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen und freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Es gibt auch ausgefallene Speisen! Oder wo bekommt man sonst einen Bobotie (südafrikanischer Auflauf)? Man sollte allerdings weder soziopathisch veranlagt noch Misanthrop sein, im Innenraum gibt es nur 6er-Tische - man wird platziert.

Sehr nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen. Das Auge ißt mit. Selbst der Chef kümmerte sich um seine Gäste. Sehr sympathisch.

Keine riesige Auswahl aber voll Leckeres Essen. Gern wieder.

Am Sonntag Brunch gebucht. Aber erst ist der Frühstückstisch gedeckt, und später (nach 11:30) folgen dann 3 warme Nudel/ Risottogerichte. Bruch stelle ich mir aus Buffet mit warmen und kalten Speisen vor. Insgesamt gut. Schmackhaft. Aber nicht so mein Ding. Personal freundlich und aufmerktsam. Preislich ca 30€ / Pers. Einplanen. Warme Speisen kosten extra. Ausprobiert.. ok. Aber nicht noch mal.

Hervorragende italienische Küche und erstklassiger Service. Das Restaurant bietet sowohl Fleischgerichte als auch köstliche vegetarische Speisen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

War richtig lecker und große Portionen, trotz der toruistischen Lage. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 35 Leuten, aber trotzdem ging es recht flott und die Bedienung war gut gelaunt.

Wir hatten Mitte April 2026 einen sehr schönen Abend in der Genusswerkstatt. Das moderne Ambiente sorgt sofort für eine angenehme Atmosphäre, in der man sich wohlfühlt. Die Lautstärke ist in einem so großen Raum natürlich immer etwas höher – das hat aber nicht gestört. Das Essen war hervorragend – geschmacklich top und wirklich reichlich. So reichlich, dass am Ende leider kein Platz mehr für eine Nachspeise blieb, was fast ein bisschen schade war. Der Service war schnell, freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Wir würden auch wochentags eine Reservierung empfehlen.

Eine große Auswahl auch an veganen Speisen. Das fand ich richtig klasse. Es war wirklich köstlich. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und es ging auch noch alles ganz fix. Ein rundum gelungener Besuch. Ich würde auf jeden Fall bei meinem nächsten Besuch in Potsdam wieder dort einkehren. 👍🏼

Von Kellnern und Betreibern ignoriert, sind wir unverrichteter Dinge weiter gezogen. Wenig einladend.

Ein toller Ort für ein Mittagessen. Es gibt eine separate vegane Speisekarte mit vielen leckeren Gerichten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Die Küche ist offen, daher ist es etwas laut und man hört manchmal die Straßenbahnen vorbeifahren, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Waren gestern zum wiederholten Mal dort. Immer wieder gerne, schöner Laden, super Essen, gestern mal zum späten Frühstück. Service geradezu hinreißend 😚!

Leckeres Essen, schöne Atmosphäre, gute Location!

Carbonara schwimmt in sahnesoße und schmeckt nach nichts. Risotto schmeckt wie in der Kita. Das Curry ist zu empfehlen!

Das Essen war wirklich gut und kam überraschend schnell, nachdem unsere recht große Gruppe bestellt hatte. Die Getränke hingegen ließen 15 Minuten auf sich warten und weitere 15 Minuten, bis sie kamen. Am schlimmsten war aber, dass von unserer Gruppe (über 10 Personen) nur mein Freund und ich eine bestimmte Biersorte bestellt hatten, von der wir jeweils genau zwei Flaschen tranken. Am Ende war noch eine Flasche offen, was eindeutig ein Fehler war. Mein Freund bezahlte sie trotzdem – unnötigerweise – höflich, da er als Letzter an der Kasse war. Ich finde es wirklich schade, dass ein so gutes Restaurant wie dieses nicht in der Lage ist, den Fehler zu erkennen oder ihn zumindest endgültig zu beheben, anstatt auf der Bezahlung des irrtümlich erhaltenen Getränks zu bestehen. Wie schade!

War ein bisschen teuer aber die Portionen sind echt groß. Sehr netter Service

Leider hat uns die Pasta sehr enttäuscht. Tatsächlich die schlechteste Trüffelpasta jemals. Ebenfalls die Hähnchenpasta war nicht wirklich besser. Da helfen die großen Portionen leider auch nicht. Qualität leidet also leider sehr unter der Quantität. Positiv war die RoteBeete-Suppe und der Service. Jedoch wäre ein Entgegenkommen bezüglich des Preises ganz nett gewesen, weil fast der ganze Teller zurück ging. Fazit: Große Portionen von eher weniger guter Qualität.

Great food and very friendly staff. I invited my family there for breakfast and it was perfect. Last week I spontaneously stopped by for some soup – very delicious.

The food was delicious. I had tomato soup as a starter, followed by braised ox cheeks with red cabbage and dumplings. Everything was absolutely delicious and highly recommended.

Beautiful location and a very friendly team. We specifically went there because of the vegan options available, and they had a good selection. The portions were generous and the food was delicious, but there's still room for improvement. Overall, we recommend it; we would eat there again because of the overall package: value for money and a comfortable atmosphere. 👍🏼

We've been to the Genusswerkstatt many times now, and it's always a delight! The appetizer platter and the homemade pasta are especially recommended. Whether inside in the winter in a cozy candlelit atmosphere or outside in the summer, overlooking the hustle and bustle of the Old Market Square, the Genusswerkstatt is definitely worth a visit!

The ambiance was good, but the seats could have been a bit more comfortable. The homemade pasta is truly delicious, and vegan options are no problem here. The main courses are quite substantial (lots of olive oil), but delicious. Perhaps a little less so, then I'll be able to fit in dessert on my next visit ;).

The ambiance is very appealing, the service was very friendly, and the food was very tasty and generous in portions. The restrooms are a bit dated, but that doesn't detract from the excellent overall impression.

Delicious food, nice location, friendly staff. Ginger tea. I’m crying. Real ginger slices 🥹. Giant “small” salad! Delicious sautéed mushrooms, beautiful on its own. The house dressing is vinegar-based and tasty too. The bright yellow tagliatelle! The veal liver chunks are so good, perfect size and not tender. The apple and golden roasted onion adds a delightful crunchiness. The sweet-savory marjoram spiced sauce isn’t too heavy. Is there also kumquat? (The portion is gigantic so I had to prioritize the sacrificed animal..) Lovely indoor and outside— not too late in mid September. The hearty fish pot also sounds so nice! Next time!!

Highly recommended. Great atmosphere, very good food. The portions are quite large, so a senior's portion would have been perfectly sufficient for me. Unfortunately, a senior's portion wasn't on the menu. There's a fairly extensive selection to choose from. The quality is good, and the price/performance ratio is right. The service was friendly and courteous.

A single waitress outside, taking orders from 14 tables at the same time and handling the bill – that's doomed to failure. How can that be? You have to wait up to 40 minutes to order and pay. It's a shame. The café is actually a nice place, and it used to be much better. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated.

Unfortunately, our server wasn't very friendly. We took our order and everything was already on the table, which doesn't reflect freshly prepared food. It's very cramped inside, but nicely decorated; definitely make a reservation.

First! The best staff! So sweet and service minded! The food was very good. We hade the carpaccio as a starter- very good! It was a lot! My partner had veal liver-pdta and loved it. My ravioli with goatcheese cream was slightly over cooked, a little minus, but the rest was very nice!

We stumbled upon this place by chance on our short trip. The food was delicious, and despite the restaurant being full, the waitresses were very friendly. The food is freshly prepared. However, you should only order the carbonara if you like fatty bacon...it would certainly be delicious if it were fried. The pasta was still very good, and I can also recommend the risotto. It's also lovingly prepared. Thanks for the evening in Potsdam.

For my taste, the cafe was trying to be too hip, the cake was rather bland and a bit dry, and then I was handed the wrong drink at the takeaway counter, and the staff scolded me for "acquiring" the wrong drink when I got to my seat. Now, I rarely go to Potsdam, but I've been here exactly twice in my life: the first and last time. Sorry.

2nd visit - the business menu was a top-notch offer. Very good value for money. ...nice ambiance (only long, beautiful wooden tables), good food, and friendly service...daily specials plus a la carte menu...good portions...I liked it...

After our visit to the Barberini Museum, we've been drawn back to the Genusswerkstatt for years – and every time it's a culinary highlight! The quality of the dishes impresses with creativity, freshness, and a taste that dances on the tongue. The service is warm and attentive, making every visit a special experience. Thank you for many enjoyable hours – we're already looking forward to our next visit!

On the warmest day of the year so far, I had a table reservation on the terrace. The welcome at the bar was friendly, and as soon as I walked up to the table, I was asked what I wanted to drink. The service staff remained at the top end of the scale throughout the evening. Fantastic. Fantastic food selection. Many daily specials, which were also presented on various boards. Although the restaurant was busy, the food didn't take very long to prepare. The food, in my case a classic carbonara, was delicious. A place to feel good, enjoy, and relax.

On the last day of my visit to Potsdam, I tried the Genusswerkstatt. The menu, supplemented by a daily special, is more than extensive and offers something for every taste, with a particularly large selection for vegetarians and vegans. The food itself is truly delicious and arrives at the table fairly quickly after ordering. Friendly service and fair prices round out my positive overall impression.

Very good food and a wide selection. Very friendly and fast service. We sat inside in the very warm summer weather, where it was as airy and cool as possible. A table of 12 people enjoyed various dishes and drinks in the early evening, and everyone was very full and very satisfied. A clear recommendation!

Totally random stop, but super happy I walked in. Cozy little place with a chill vibe and really friendly staff. I wasn’t expecting much, but turns out they serve gluten-free pasta – either penne or spaghetti – and they’ve got a bunch of sauces and combos to choose from. It’s not a dedicated gluten-free spot, but they seem to take it seriously and my food came out without any issues.

We reserved a table for breakfast online late the night before. We received a very friendly welcome, and the table was already set. Now that's what I call perfect organization. Everything was fresh and delicious, albeit way too much. However, you could certainly leave a note about this when making your reservation. 😊 In short: we were completely satisfied with a truly perfect breakfast in a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommended. The prices were also reasonable.

Very good and nice restaurant, but the terrace could be a bit more secluded. The traffic and noise levels are a bit distracting. Otherwise, it's top-notch and highly recommended.

We came here for dinner and had made a reservation (there aren't too many tables). There were some daily specials at discounted prices, and there's an ice cream cart in the restaurant. We had tagliatelle with rabbit liver, which combined really great pasta with a rich sauce and great liver. The radiator pasta was a bit overcooked, but a great pasta shape. Unfortunately, the linguine with octopus had hardly any squid in it, just lots of tomatoes. The bobotie casserole was interesting and tasted like curried minced meat with an omelet topping. The cold, sweet chunney served with it was also quite good. I would come again.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the food. I've tried to reserve a table at this restaurant twice now. I had the same employee on the phone both times. Both times, I was told the restaurant was fully booked and nothing was available. That's not a problem and does indicate a great location. But the way they communicated on the phone was rude. On the second call, I stated the day and time I wanted to reserve, and the employee on the phone immediately said, "No, I have to disagree. It's closed from 2:30 p.m. due to an internal event. I'm hanging up now because the restaurant is full. Bye." I couldn't say anything else before the beep rang and the call ended. I think that's incredibly unfortunate; it ruins any desire to try again when people talk like that on the phone. If the restaurant has nothing available and nothing can be booked online, the website shouldn't say "call us." Obviously, you're stressed out by the calls. I can only repeat, it's simply a shame. I have celiac disease and am always looking for gluten-free restaurants in my area. I've never been here, and it will probably stay that way for the time being.

Very hospitable and attentive condition

We liked the long wooden tables which enabled us to dine comfortably. The signature dish, homemade pasta was delicious. We also liked the truffle risotto and the slow-cooked lamb was tasty. The service was excellent.

Nice atmosphere, vegan but neither regional nor sustainable or organic products recognizable... The fish in the pasta and as brunch could be better prepared. Little offerings for children but very friendly staff.

Today I reserved a table online for breakfast on Sunday and then called directly to discuss a few organizational matters, as the reservation was linked to an invitation. Now the restaurant manager calls me two hours later after 9 p.m. and says that the reservation has to be canceled, that he has no more tables and can't bake any. I have rarely experienced such rudeness. This is not a service if the fault lies with the restaurant and no alternative options or solutions are offered. We were frequent guests at the Genusswerkstatt. Now you have lost us and our invited guests as customers - that is not how you treat guests. It's good that there are other good, service-oriented places in Potsdam.
