Genki Sushi in Kaiserslautern

To add that the server had no problem conversing with us while we were ordering in German and English. Communication problem and no "no understanding" us started once we were having our meal and I started asking where does the fish come from. We got food poisoning from this place. We are definitely not coming back. While we were having our meal, I asked the owners, the person who were preparing the food and the one who served it, where did the fish and sea food came from. I was curious - after all we were eating raw fish and sea food. They couldn't understand me in English or German. After a while with the help of their child who translated and Google translate they vaguely answered that it comes from all over... Now we have food poisoning.

Cash only! Wish they were open on Sundays. The sushi here is delicious!

Great new sushi restaurant that opened up right outside Vogelweh Main Gate Strip/ Pulaski barracks

Went to get sushi early April. We just LOVED it! I got the Genki Bento, everything on it was delicious and fresh. The best miso soup I’ve tried! Staff was friendly. The place has a cute decoration but is a little small, I assume most order are to go. Prices are reasonable for food portions. Don’t forget to bring cash with you since they don’t take card. Overall delicious fresh affordable food. Definitely going back!

First off, the food thoroughly impressed me! I'm not easily impressed, and the chef took food I've eaten before and revamped the items! I truly enjoyed the items so much I ordered more of them to go!

The quality of the fish is really incredibly good! Better than any other sushi restaurant in the area. Authentic ambience. The family that runs this restaurant is nice. I would recommend this sushi restaurant to anyone who values ​​good fish and doesn't want to experience mass processing.

Philadelphia were served very poorly as you can see in the photo and it’s not convenient to eat, but they were delicious, California..., it’s my own fault for not reading the ingredients, but surimi instead of salmon is terrible, plus the price of this roll is overpriced, make it for 10 € but with piece of salmon, sake tempura was quite good.

First time trying this place out, and right on my first bite, I noticed a more robust flavor in their seaweed roll, almost as though they might make it themselves, but if not, still a better flavor than other sushi places. The fish was also fresher and had a more full flavor than other places. Overall, just seemed like this place, with no diners sitting at the tables inside, really cared about their product. The only "bad" thing I could say is that it took a while to make, almost 40 minutes. But I will gladly calculate that into my future orders for the trade-off of good sushi! I'll be back, indeed.

So freaking good!! It's definitely "hidden" and almost doesn't seem open, but he definitely is!! Omg, the salmon sashimi, YUM. The rolls, delish!! The rolls are massive. We ordered 3 rolls and an order of salmon sashimi, so filling!! The service was excellent. Prices are amazing for what you get. Seriously, the rolls are massive, and the amount of raw fish is on point. I highly recommend it. I will def be going back!!

Super lecker, frisch und preislich angemessen!

Das beste Sushi habe ich in Japan gegessen und seitdem suchte ich ein Restaurant, dass annähernd an das wundervolle Erlebnis herankommt. Und bei Genki Sushi war ich einfach verzaubert und es ist einfach Geschmacksorgasmus. Mit dem Schiff erleben sie das wahre Können. Mit dem Aal träumen sie sich wirklich in den siebten Himmel. :) Ich liebe das Restaurant und komme immer wieder gerne. Ich kann es nur wärmstens empfehlen. Lassen sie sich das Geschmackserlebnis nicht entgehen. ;)

This is probably the best sushi in town.

The food was very good! The atmosphere was ok - very quiet, no music or anything. The only thing that was strange was the red bean dessert came pre-packaged so that makes me thing it wasn't made there fresh? Has a small parking lot and it was cash only.

"Das ist das Beste Sushi, dass du je gegessen hast" Das wurde mir gesagt. Skeptisch, mit hohen Erwartungen bin ich hingegangen und wurde trotzdem umgeworfen. Dieser kleine Sushi Laden übertrifft an Qualität alles was ich jemals gegessen habe. Ich werde viele Freunde mitbringen. Der Chef ist äußerst freundlich und geht auch auf Änderungswünsche ein. Sushi - Typisch sind die Preise für ein Abendessen hoch, aber bei der Qualität hat man das Gefühl, es wird direkt vom Seekutter abgeholt von daher mehr als gerechtfertigt.

We love coming here! Super fresh and great quality. They have lunch specials and great prices as well. They do pick up orders or dine in which was nice for date night. There is an actual parking lot too haha😉 highly recommend 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a hidden gem for sushi in Kaiserslautern. The lunch special is such a great deal with plenty of options and the miso soup is an added bonus. The restaurant is in a quiet area and has some seating inside as well.

Both sushi and sashimi made with delicious fresh fish (key word is fresh) Tempura was tasty as well. The price was better then in other sushi restaurants in the area. I ordered the sushi boat designed for 4 people - we were only two and cleaned it! The chef was so impressed that gave us a little gift when we were departing.

This place is a god sent to the KMC. Authentic, great sushi that doesn’t include cream cheese in every roll. The quantity of fish to rice is perfect. Great place with super friendly owners.

Favorite sushi place in the surrounding area! Real mom and pop shop which I like supporting. Always have an amazing experience with them. The best part is they are never super busy which for me is a plus. It's kind of tucked away!

Selbst Mr Lian & Yoshi's sind besser, von Sushi Hana in Ramstein ganz zu schweigen. Hana ist generell der beste Sushi Laden im ganzen Umkreis, ein Versuch lohnt. Sorry aber wer hier gut bewertet hat noch nie gutes Sushi gegessen.
