Genius in Würzburg - Telefonnummer, Reservierungen, Bewertungen

A few weeks ago we (four people) wanted to go out for dinner on a Sunday evening. Although more than half of the tables were unoccupied, we politely waited in the entrance area for a table to be assigned. After we said no to the question of whether we had made a reservation, we were literally thrown out of the restaurant with the comment that there was no telephone in Germany. I have never experienced such outrageous behavior!

I ordered from Genius at 5:44 p.m., Food scheduled to arrive between 7:10 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. Called for the first time at 7:36 p.m. and was put off for another 10 minutes. Called the second time at 7:56 p.m. and was brushed off very rudely. My order was then canceled. I have ordered there several times and have always been satisfied. After this campaign, however, the store won't see a cent from me anymore.

Today we were guests at Genius for the first time with a gourmet block. The Greek food was very good, and the portion size was just right for us. We were warmly welcomed and served.

I've never eaten such bad burgers in my life, the €60 for 4 burgers, fries and salad really hurts my heart. The toppings were saved and the chicken was completely unseasoned. The rolls tasted 1:1 like the ready-made patties from Aldi. I don't know what came over me, but I'll never order here again.

Dogs are also not welcome in the beer garden.

Hair in the food, mini portions for juicy prices and 1€ for the packaging to take away. No thanks, you won't see us again.

Unfortunately a big disappointment! I have never eaten such a bad lamb chop, hardly any seasoning and a lot of craving! We will refrain from another visit!

1 year after my last review, I unfortunately have to delete 4 stars from the 5 stars. The food is now totally overpriced and the portions have shrunk. In addition, it no longer tastes fresh, but warmed up. The owner has changed and with him the quality and quantity. Very unfortunate.

After he saw that we had a dog with us, he snapped at me and said they don't have room for dogs here. Should put a sign on the door and indicate on the website that animals are not welcome. Thank you never again...

We were here for the first time with the Schlemmerblock. Dishes cost around €20. They are very tasty and worth the money.

A nice little all-rounder restaurant. Perfect if you don't really know whether you want to eat Italian, Greek or German. The burgers were tasty and the portion was large. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. You can really give the store a chance, even if it doesn't look that inviting from the outside. Unfortunately, the price has recently become more expensive and is no longer quite commensurate with the portions and quality.

It's a shame... another place where you don't have to go anymore. Were there with 6 people and a gourmet block. At first pleased with the cozy furnishings. The gentleman who served us shouldn't work in service, because customer friendliness is different. The portion size is very small compared to competitors. The salad was very carelessly prepared. Nobody asked anymore if we wanted to order anything else to drink. When we paid we had the impression that the innkeeper would be angry if someone came with the gourmet block (he should leave it alone) At least you say thank you and goodbye if a guest leaves but it's ok if you don't value the guests coming back.

Just different! Clear lines, chic and sober but very inviting. Everything, whether service, taste of the food, waiting time, everything was super good, super friendly and also reasonably fast! Despite the gourmet block, there is no difference in the portion size compared to regularly ordered food, this is rare and deserves 10*********** alone! It was very nice to be a guest in your restaurant, we are completely full, happy and satisfied to have had such a nice, high-quality break!

Giros felt like it came from the microwave...Metaxa sauce was more of a bland tomato/cream sauce. Side salad was simply dressed with vinegar. Eggplant cream only tastes like mayonnaise. Prices are now very excessive for the quality that customers receive. Was our third and final attempt.

Prices are really extremely expensive, €20 for a relatively small plate. That would have been manageable if the food had been tasty, but the food was really bottomless. The salad was full of vinegar, which made it really unpleasant to eat. I had gyros with metaxa sauce and the gyros were really poor quality, and the sauce was more like a soup, but you could eat it. The garlic potatoes tasted incredibly tasteless, literally the worst I've ever eaten. Every kebab makes better potatoes. Ambiance was just like a living room and wasn't really nice, but that's really the least of the bad things. The food came very quickly, but doesn't that limit the quality? I don't know it. Overall a real disappointment, the waiter didn't even ask how the food was, which I don't care because I definitely won't be coming back here. A pity!

The food doesn't taste good for the price. So far this was the worst Greek in Würzburg. The service is also very rude. Basically it's not worth eating here.

There were 3 of us at Genius. Ambiance is nice, service is quick and courteous. We will be back.

It was strange sitting alone in a restaurant in the evening. The service was friendly and forthcoming. We decided to try the burgers at the Greek restaurant because, according to the menu, the paddy is supposed to be made fresh every day. The taste, portion size and presentation were solid, the dips served were standard. As usual with the Greeks, there was a good ouzo. Unfortunately you can't give 3.5 stars.

You shouldn't arrive here hungry. Today we were there with eight people with our gourmet block. Well, the VAT has now gone up again - but then 18.90 euros for a handful of gyros and a whole two!! Calamari pieces are then more than intense. Was there any savings made here on the gourmet block? Staff not very attentive either.... annoyed when my colleague, who wanted to pay for four people, dared to recalculate the handwritten receipt...." He - the boss? - said he didn't have time for that now.... .. Strange... it doesn't work that way It's tedious to mention that the usual HausOuzo didn't exist either Luckily our regular Greek is only a few hundred meters further on the Keesburg...although without the gourmet block "advantage"...but even my "senior plate" ☺️ is bigger, cheaper and tastier

Service very friendly. Unfortunately the special didn't taste that good, but the food was good. The salad and potatoes were particularly well done. But unfortunately the prices (especially for the portions) are grossly exaggerated.

2 reviews! Were guests at Genius with 10 people. We were all very satisfied. The prices are in the upper segment, but you also get large portions that taste very good. We were all very satisfied. The boss is very friendly and patient. We would like to come again. We came back and were very disappointed. Yesterday we were guests at the Genius with 6 people and it was no comparison to the other times, the prices are still in the upper segment but the portions were smaller (see last pictures). My salad consisted of not-so-pretty lettuce leaves (which you don't use at home), half a slice of tomato and half a slice of cucumber and the lettuce was drowned in vinegar. There used to be 3 souvlaki on a skewer, yesterday there were only 2, the bifteki has also shrunk a lot and I'd rather not write about the gyros. My wife wanted rice instead of garlic potatoes, which wasn't a problem, but added an extra charge of 1 euro for the "change of order". She had gyros with hunter's sauce (unfortunately without mushrooms) and the sauce was a convenient sauce that you shouldn't offer. Normally I always get some food from my wife, which wasn't the case yesterday. Unfortunately the waiter didn't ask us how the food tasted, otherwise I could have told him. We will also give this restaurant a second chance, but if it is like yesterday again, it will also be the last.

Nice little restaurant with good service. However, the prices are pretty steep. But not the food. Some people will have to add more seasoning here. Nevertheless, everyone enjoyed it and it arrived quite quickly. All in all recommended. We couldn't understand the bad reviews.

War heute nix!!! Waren immer sehr zufrieden - aber nicht heute. Der Beilagensalat eine Katastrophe - Salat, ein Stück Gurke,Tomate und Peperoni und ein paar Tropfen Balsamico - trocken & sauer. Das Schnitzel meiner Frau war sehr gut. Mein gemischter griechischer Teller mit knapp 20€ war nix. Das Gyros war dunkel bis verbrannt - trocken und Zitrone fehlte auch. Beim Abräumen reklamierte ich dieses bei der älteren Frau (Chefin?). Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass sie mich kaum verstand. Ouzo gab es auch nicht mehr beim Bezahlen. Fazit: keine Öl- Essig-Mischung, fehlende Zitrone, kein Ouzo und verbranntes Gyros - man kann sich kaputt sparen, auch beim Wichtigsten - dem Gast !!!

Habe auf Lieferando bestellt. Bestelltes Gericht hatte absolut nichts mit Gyros mit Metaxasauce zu tun. Schlimmer noch es war nicht genießbar, es hat einfach nur verschimmelt geschmeckt und das für knapp 20 Euro.

Essen: Pommes waren gut, Burgersauce zu sauer 0,50€ für wirklich wenig Honig aufm Schafskäse! Toilette sehr unsauber und viele Kotreste.

Burger geliefert bekommen fast ne Stunde zu spät. Lauwarm. Pommes labrig. Nicht alle Zutaten auf dem Burger

Das Gyros und die Knoblauchkartoffeln war sehr lecker.

Wir waren heute nach längerer Zeit wieder einmal zum Essen da. Leider sehr enttäuschend. Die griechischen Gerichte haben sich von der Portionsgröße halbiert und die Preise haben sich sehr stark erhöht. Auch geschmacklich nicht der Renner. Zähes Fleisch, trockenes Gyros usw. Burger waren auch nichts besonderes. Leider stimmt hier das Preis-Leistungsverhältniss nicht mehr. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen. Für einen griechischen Teller 20,- Euro in dieser Qualität und Quantität zu verlangen ist schon eine Unverschämtheit.

Sehr große Auswahl Geschmack super wir hatten griechisch. Portionen groß nur zu empfehlen nicht unser letzter Besuch... Waren mit dem Schlemmerblock dort überhaupt keine Probleme ein großes Lob an den Service trotz vollem Lokal nicht den Überblick verloren...👍👍👍

Das ist nur meine persönliche Meinung. Ein Rumpsteak mit Reis lt. Karte 200-220g bestellt. Bekommen ca. 100g. Lt. Karte mit Reis aber fritierte Kartoffelchips erhalten. Auch bei einem anderen Gast am Tisch wurde nicht lt. Karte/Bestellung serviert. Salat völlig in Essig ertränkt. Bedienung freundlich aber sehr unaufmerksam. 8 Personen am Tisch und bei leeren Gläsern nicht nachgefragt. 10 min. nach Abräumen wurde erst gefragt. Da war es zu spät. Keine klare Linie in der Karte, es gibt griechisch, Pizza, Burger und deutsch. Von allem etwas, das hat noch selten funktioniert. Das Ambiente läd mich nicht zum Wiederkommen ein. Vielleicht hat das Lokal einen guten Straßenverkauf ansonsten bleibt noch Frank Rosin....

Schönes Restaurant mit tollem Biergarten im Sommer und durschnittlichen Essen.

Nicht ganz billig für die Lage, aber dafür wird man auf alle Fälle satt. Egal ob griechische Küche oder Burger. Und schmecken tut's auch noch.;-) Der Service ist eher zurückhaltend. Hier geht noch was.

Einfaches Lokal, leckeres Essen, super-Service. Bei schönem Wetter mit Biergarten. Sonntags lieber reservieren. Schwuppdiwupp sind man und Frau im Süden Europas.

Ein Restaurant, welches von dem Gastgarten an warmen Tagen profitiert. Der Gastraum selbst wirkt etwas nüchtern. Der Service war bei unserem Besuch aufmerksam und freundlich, die Speisenauswahl sehr umfangreich und die bestellten Gerichte wurden ordentlich portioniert und sehr schmackhaft gereicht. Preislich liegt man hier im ortsüblichen Rahmen. Gerne wieder.

War okay aber wir gehen dort nicht mehr essen.

Das ist das beste Griechische Essen im Umkreis von 30km gehen da sehr gerne rein und immer nettes Personal

Die Portionsgröße war ok, für mich darf es aber ruhig etwas mehr sein ;). Die Qualität des Essens war gehobener Durchschnitt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Pommes Gewürz, das hatte eine besondere Note. Alles in allen würden wir wieder kommen.

Hatte die Athen Platte, alles sehr Lecker. Leider ist essen bestellen zum Luxus geworden aber wie so vieles andere auch

Essen sehr lecker, freundliche Bedienung. Beim Service kommt es etwas darauf an wer im Lokal ist. Bei den ersten beiden Besuchen war ein etwas älterer Herr da, der war klasse. Super freundlich, lustig, engagiert. Beim dritten Mal war ein jüngerer Mann da. Er war auch sehr freundlich und professionell, aber eher distanziert. Beispielsweise gab es bei ihm auch keinen Ouzo zum griechischen Essen. Trotzdem 5 Sterne, weil ansonsten wirklich alles super ist. Es ist übrigens auch egal was man isst (Burger, griechisch, Pizza), alles perfekt.

Davor habe ich dort nur vom Lieferservice bestellt. Das Essen vor Ort war auch sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Neben den typischen griechischen Gerichten, bietet das Restaurant Burger und Pizza an - auch im Lieferservice. Jedoch habe ich bisher nur die griechischen Spezialitäten vor Ort probiert. Vom Ambiente ist der Laden sauber und modern eingerichtet, mit einigen griechischen Antik-Elementen. So wirklicher Komfort kommt jedoch nicht auf, da es insgesamt doch alles eher kalt wirkt. Negativ fiel zudem ein regelmäßiges lautes Klingeln des Telefons auf. Am Service gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Man wurde zügig bedient und das Essen kam schnell. Die Bedienung war zudem stets freundlich und es gab nach Begleichen der Rechnung eine Runde Ouzo aufs Haus. Die Speisen waren geschmacklich insgesamt eher im Mittelmaß. Das Gyros war teilweise leider schon ziemlich trocken und das Souvlaki zäh. Bei den Kalamari fiel ein etwas zu starker Paprikageschmack negativ auf. Jedoch war keines der Speisen ungenießbar. Die Portionsgrößen waren typischerweise mehr als sättigend. Positiv hervorzuheben ist der Salat mit einem gut balancierten Dressing. Der Hauptkritikpunkt, weshalb ich keine 4* vergeben kann, sind die sehr hohen Preise (ca. 17€ für die meisten griechischen Platten) für die Lage am Würzburger Ortsrand. Das liegt vielleicht auch an der Teilnahme am sog. Schlemmerblock, den auffällig viele Kunden bei unseren Besuchen nutzten. Ob sich das am Ende für den Betreiber rentiert, muss er selbst wissen. Für mich persönlich erzeugt das in fast jedem Restaurant immer eine Art “Billigheimer”-Atmosphäre, weshalb ich viele solcher Lokale inzwischen meide.
