Cozy inn, great food, friendly service, highly recommended.

This was our second time at Timo Weimer's BBQ. The first time, we invited friends and were thrilled. There was a nice selection of unusual dishes like beef hammer, various sausages you can't get anywhere else, delicious steak, pulled pork, and matching homemade side dishes and salads. The Kaiserschmarrn from the grill was also great. So we advertised it among our friends and went there with six people that weekend, expecting to experience the art of grilling again from the first time. We were told in advance to arrive at 6:30 p.m. When we arrived, all the tables were already occupied and the guests were waiting for their meals. We ordered our drinks and went to the grill. Unfortunately, this time the selection was standard: meat skewers, pulled pork, chicken, and steak. The cevapcici were already empty, as were several salad bowls. At 7:20 p.m., the grill was cleaned for dessert, and the leftovers were kept warm. When we asked, we were told that due to a staff shortage, we were served later than the other guests. For dessert, there were pancakes with ice cream. When I went to get dessert at 8:30 p.m., no one was there, and I left empty-handed. In summary, I have to say that for the rather high price of €40 in a meat sommelier's restaurant, I expect to get something I can't grill myself at home, or only with a lot of effort and experience. It wasn't anything special. The quality was okay, but the time was a no-go. Not getting anything fresh after a net 50 minutes is unacceptable.

A very delicious and cozy restaurant with a lovely ambiance and exceptionally delicious food. The tarte flambée, the cheese platter, and the "Strammer Max" (a kind of sausage) were fantastic and highly recommended. The service was also very friendly and attentive. We would be happy to return and highly recommend the restaurant.

Bei einem Wochendtrip wählten wir das Restaurant für ein Abendessen für 5 Personen. Sehr freundlicher Empgang; den ganzen Abend aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Trotz des sehr ansprechenden Innenraums wählten wir einen Aussentisch. Wir verzehrten: 2 x gr. Sommersalt mit Pfifferlingen und Parmesan, 1 x geschmorte Ochsenbäckchen mit Spätzle, 1 x Handkäse-Bratwürstchen mit Apfelweinsauerkraut und Bratkartoffeln, 1 x gefüllter Schweinerücken. Getränke: Rose`,stilles Wasser, alkoholfr. Bier Die Preise sind für das Leistungsniveau absolut ok. Wir kamen um 18:00 Uhr und hatten einen Tisch vorbestellt. Als wir kurz nach 20:00 gingen war das Restaurant proppevoll.

Since reviews that reflect reality are reported and blocked here, I will repeat this review. However, I completely agree with this review, so I will repeat it here. Nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the service was the worst I've ever experienced for someone with gluten intolerance. The ice cream menu doesn't list any allergens, which isn't standard these days. A minus point. When asked if it's gluten-free, you get a rude, unfriendly answer. You should know that yourself. Am I involved in their preparation? Rhetorical. They can get rid of their staff or customers like us. They can decide for themselves what's better for their business. If there were minus points for the service here, I would give them all.
