Terrible parking situation. Poorly organized, especially if you've reserved a table and then have to park on the outskirts of Cologne. The food was cold and served so slowly that it was cold by the time the last person received their meal. The same went for the drinks. Some were forgotten, the wrong order was placed, or the order was ignored. Charging such a price for this is outrageous. Never again.

You should definitely go there if you're in Cologne. Very tasty.

Modern, elegant brewery cuisine. The food is delicious and the service is friendly. As the name suggests, the ambiance is reminiscent of a modern clubhouse; everywhere you look, you'll find details that evoke the FC (football club). I also enjoy going there in the summer when the terrace is open.

Yesterday afternoon, we wanted something to eat and drink after a long wait, so we sat on the terrace. After a long wait, we went inside and were told there was no service outside. You had to order at the counter and take it with you—no problem! It would just be nice if you were informed outside by a sign or a notice on the tables. So we went inside and ordered coffee, cake, and fries from the very friendly waitress at the counter. You couldn't order fries because they were a side dish, and anyway, food was only available inside in the fall. At that moment, two large trays filled with food were being carried outside. Uh, yes, that was someone from the FC management, they were getting special treatment... Great atmosphere, very friendly service, but some things were also strange.

We had currywurst for lunch and enjoyed the midday sun. The terrace is very spacious, so we had no problem parking the stroller there. There's also an elevator.

Everything was perfect. Thanks to all the staff.

Beautiful clubhouse in beautiful surroundings

The ambiance is really lovely after the renovation; the outdoor area is very appealing. But I really miss Cologne dishes, like the once truly delicious Krüstchen goulash or a delicious Frikadelle! But you can still improve. All the best.

A fantastic location; you can eat and drink in peace and enjoy the view outside or watch the football on Sky inside. If you want to throw a party, you can also rent rooms. Oh, and there's an elevator, so wheelchair users can easily access it. The staff is very friendly; the wait for drinks and food is less than 10 minutes. Parking is available in P2, behind the Franz Kremer Stadium, or at the Geisbockheim, unless there's a training session or something similar.

Quite a nice location, especially for festivities.

First, watch FC Bayern Munich's training session, then enjoy a delicious meal and drinks. Here, you can sit comfortably inside or on the large sun terrace. A visit to the idyllic green surroundings is highly recommended.

Unfortunately, after the renovation, it has become considerably more generic and characterless. If you take the pictures off the wall, you could just as easily be standing in one of the many interchangeable chain restaurants. Unfortunately, it's a real downgrade, and the service is also a bit hectic. A shame.

Under new management, the "Clubhouse" is reaching unprecedented heights... The "Straw Pig" with delicious fried potatoes, crisp salad, and cranberries tastes fantastic. The "Effzeh Currywurst" with freshly prepared fries is simply hearty and delicious. Mmm! Well-selected top-quality wines complete the picture. The very friendly and competent service team has apparently been completely retained and warmly welcomes guests. The location has a sophisticated ambiance with a sunny terrace. PS: Only the Kaiserschmarrn (cake too thick, a bit too dry, not enough powdered sugar) is not yet top-notch. (Complaining at a high level.) Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Ambience: 5/5

Still 2nd division - on Sunday for the FC's away game at Geißbockheim - 20 minutes after kick-off still no picture - (we reach the IT department not-quote-waiter) - off to Birkebäumchen - amateurs

Watching FC Mainz at the Geissbockheim for the first matchday - not possible because the employees can't get Dazn started - (quote - we can't reach anyone in the IT department) at 4 p.m. to the Birkebäumchen

Unfortunately, on August 24, 2025, it was District League D. We had reserved a table and specifically requested a TV view. We got a table in the far corner, where you could only just make out that football was being played on the TV. It can happen if it's full, but advance notice would have been fair, as we had obviously reserved to watch an FC Bayern Munich game. Unfortunately, there was no game to watch in the entire restaurant for at least the first half, and no notice or even a generous apology. The menu has been scaled down and, personally, I don't like it quite as much as the old one, but the burger was okay, although I find the 45-minute wait a bit long. Overall, a disappointing visit after the reopening. We probably won't be coming back for a while.

The restaurant is very nice. The drinks were good and the service was prompt. The food looked delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat as we cut our visit short. The fact that the FC match couldn't be broadcast on matchday due to technical problems could have been avoided by dialing in earlier. Anyone who comes to the clubhouse on matchday wants to watch FC, not the second division. FC matches should be celebrated. With interviews and the anthem. Then things will work out. Just like in all the other pubs around. We ended the matchday in one of them with a Kölsch and food. Therefore, one star deducted for poor planning.

Well, something like this really only happens in Cologne. You come with friends to watch the Bundesliga opener in a relaxed atmosphere, and then DAZN doesn't work!!! The Geissbockheim is packed. At first, everyone is quiet, but after nothing's happening at halftime, most people get up and leave. Then they try to salvage the mood with a few free beers, but that was truly a disgrace and not at all customer-friendly, not even mentioning that the drinks are on the house. So, I'll be back at home soon...it's cheaper, too.

It turned out really great and the food was also top notch.

I've been there twice in the last two weeks. The location and interior, after renovations, are great, with a terrace. Very friendly service, but... when you have to wait 35 minutes for the first Kölsch (despite asking) and 50 minutes for the food, some adjustments need to be made. Visited on August 8th and 20th. Many guests on the terrace didn't have drinks and had to wait, and payment was only possible with one person.

Super nice atmosphere 😊 with a view of the pitch below where training takes place 😁 and of course the park behind it 😉😄!!! The food was super well made and presented 😜😁!!! I was completely satisfied, the prices are still bearable for the well-made food, anytime again!!😉

We made a reservation today because it's our son's birthday. We were able to specify that when we made the reservation. We wanted to have the famous currywurst. I was a little disappointed, as I said when we made the reservation, because it was his birthday. There was nothing decorated or anything. It was a surprise for him. And the currywurst keeps getting smaller, so it was hardly worth it. What a shame.

We visited the Geissbockheim for the first time since it reopened to celebrate my father's 85th birthday. I have to say, we were all very impressed by the great service the team provided. There was one member of the team who was wheelchair-bound, and several for whom the stairs were a challenge. When we arrived, the elevator was broken. The team immediately made sure it was repaired. That was fantastic. It was a truly lovely evening; the entire team took great care of us. The food was consistently delicious, and we didn't have to wait long for food or drinks. The portions were generous. The 1. FC Köln clubhouse has entered the 1st division.

Nothing really changed after the renovations, so it's a mystery why they had to close for so long. The summer menu is beyond meager; I wouldn't send anyone here for a meal. Especially since the prices aren't exactly cheap. Unfortunately, we were a bit unlucky with the service (our first Kölsch beer took 15 minutes). At least ordering food was pretty quick, even though we were allowed to order after 20 minutes. Anyone looking for halfway comfortable chairs on the terrace is also in the wrong place; they don't even have cushions. In conclusion, you'll find the FC somewhere between the second division and the upper lower class.

Newly opened under the management of the FC itself. The menu is home-style, with schnitzel and burgers on our menu this time. Everything is delicious, reasonably priced, and there are some great beers.

Unfortunately, the view from the terrace is now only of the weed-covered roof of the extension. It's a shame; you used to be able to see the training grounds and the beautiful area around the Decksteiner Weiher lake. The food was okay, nothing special, but quite tasty. The menu was quite small. The service wasn't perfect yet due to the changeover; there were long waits for drinks.

It's really perfectly fine here. Many professional clubs don't have anything like this. It's a shame you don't get a view of the training ground from above. The service was a bit slow at times, but it was still bearable.

Not normal, perfect weather today on a Saturday evening, half-full terrace, great atmosphere... just 5 past 9 and... well... we're being sent away again. Even if it's just for a drink? Yes, even then! ... We're "only open until half past 8 and we've just finished our last round. Sorry!" At first we thought, okay, he probably means 8:30, so no big deal, even if it's pretty early. But no, they're closing at 9:30 as scheduled. Well, good night then!

Absolute impudence—never again. The level of service and organization offered here is truly outrageous. We made the trip specifically to see the public training session—including a long journey. But instead, we were only disappointed. First, we actually had to wait TWO HOURS (!) for our food on the terrace of the clubhouse. Two hours for a completely mediocre, cold meal, which, given its quality and price, is an absolute disgrace. The service? Unfriendly, overwhelmed, and irritating. It took several minutes to even get drinks, and another 75 minutes later, the food finally arrived—and then it was cold and uncaring. And to top it all off, the absolute impudence of canceling the public training session at short notice—without any prior notice. Unbelievable, considering that many people travel from Cologne and the surrounding area just to see FC Köln live. The disappointment for many was immense. For me, this was clearly my last time here. Anyone who treats their fans like this should ask themselves how much longer they can afford to continue. Tradition can't gloss over everything—at some point, service and respect for the people who spend their money here matter. Conclusion: Disorganized, disrespectful, disastrous. Never again—zero stars, absolutely second-rate!

The service was a disaster! Drinks took forever, weren't filled, and were still charged. We would have loved to stay longer, but waiting 20 minutes for a Kölsch beer is a disgrace. And that's despite only half the tables being occupied.

What can I say? It's the Geissbockheim! I spent countless hours there as a kid, watching training. It has so many stories to tell, and the location, surrounded by greenery, is beautiful. The food court is also very inviting. But while Effzeh has been promoted and is finally back in the top division, the culinary experience was still second-division. All the dishes we tried were okay, but there was still room for improvement. While the prices are already at Champions League level, the service was super friendly. Even if a few processes will probably still need to be adjusted after the reopening. It's just like with any good team at the start of the season. 😉

The Geißbockheim, under FC Bayern's management, has been open again since Wednesday. The location is, of course, perfect. Surrounded by greenery, and if you arrive at the right time, you might see familiar faces. In my opinion, not much has changed inside or outside. But that doesn't detract from the overall atmosphere. Now for the suggestions for improvement. 1. Why do you get 0.3 liters of Kölsch without asking? 0.2 liters is standard and traditional. 2. I ordered currywurst with a roll (obligatory baguette) and still got fries. The sausage was moderately warm, and getting just one sausage for €13.50 smacks of gourmet cuisine (in terms of price). A slightly modified version of Himmel un Ääd was delicious, but even then, more like gourmet cuisine in terms of price and portion size. The beetroot carpaccio was also delicious, but some bread/baguette/roll would have been nice. 3. At 1 p.m., there's quite a lot of staff, but apparently only one person can/is allowed to take orders and cash out. So things can't move quickly; they're rather slow. You can eat there, but you don't have to.

Atmosphere is okay. Food was delicious.

Very nice, large restaurant. The employees are very nice and on the ball. The food looked very good. I had a drink before a football game. The espresso was very good. The boss revealed the secret about the coffee beans. Even if you are not a FC fan, this restaurant is highly recommended. It was very busy, so the larger parties had all reserved a table. I'll do that next time too. Lots of FC players and officials on the grounds.

Good and very solid food meets great and very friendly service in an exceptional ambience! A menu with a large selection ensures that every palate gets its money's worth. In summer, a large terrace invites you to linger. When looking for a parking space, you can use the forest parking lot.

Wir hatten einen schönen Köln -Abschluss im Geißbockheim. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet und der Service sehr zügig und freundlich.

Das Geißbockheim bietet an für sich ein schönes Ambiente und der Außenbereich ist wirklich schön. Leider stimmt in meinen Augen das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis gar nicht, da man für 2,30€ für ein Kölsch wenigstens ein volles Glas erwarten kann. Auf das Essen, welches lecker war, haben wir teilweise sehr lange gewartet. Die Currywurst hat beispielsweise 60 Minuten lang auf sich warten lassen. Die größte Enttäuschung stellt in meinen Augen der Service da, die jüngeren Servicekräfte waren sehr bemüht und aufmerksam, diese Art sollte sich der Rest des Service-Teams abschauen. Bereits bei der Platzierung an unseren Tisch wurden wir von einem unfreundlichen Kollegen in Empfang genommen, dessen Laune sich auch über die Dauer unseres Besuchs nicht besserte. Jeder kann mal einen schlechten Tag haben, aber wir haben uns nicht freundlichen empfangen und betreut gefühlt. Des Weiteren sollten an Spieltagen mindestens zwei Personen Tische abkassieren können, sonst wartet man nämlich sehr lange auf seine Rechnung und das Bezahlen.

Total zufrieden und kommen wieder. Es sind bayerische Wochen.

The food was excellent as always. The Kaiserschmarrn with vanilla ice cream and plums was simply “divine”. Always my pleasure.
