Great hotel that combines modern and old (industrial style). Nice and clean rooms. Friendly and attentive staff. I felt completely at home. I would gladly come back.

The hotel impresses with its industrial architecture. The rooms are pleasantly spacious and stylishly furnished. We visit the Gastwerkhotel regularly and always feel very comfortable there. The service is very attentive and the breakfast buffet is excellent. Egg dishes and various coffee specialties can be ordered separately. The only drawback: the previously free outdoor parking spaces have recently been subject to a fee. This means that the special "bonus" of free parking in the city of Hamburg is unfortunately no longer available.

A beautifully restored hotel in a former gasworks. Everything is tastefully decorated in an industrial style. The rooms are a good size. Some face the atrium, meaning they don't have any windows to the outside. If that's important to you, you should keep that in mind. The hotel offers every conceivable comfort: an elevator, air conditioning, hairdryer, soap, etc. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired! An absolutely inspiring setting for a getaway. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, yet unobtrusive. Everything was perfect. We'll be back 😊

If you're looking for a stylish, unusual, yet cozy place to stay, you'll definitely find it here. As soon as you enter the hotel, you'll be captivated by the impressive industrial architecture. The combination of historic brick walls, modern design, and warm lighting creates an atmosphere that is both luxurious and inviting. The loft ambiance with its high ceilings and stylish furniture gives the hotel a very special character. My room was not only extremely tastefully decorated, but also spacious and perfectly equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable – just what you need after a long day exploring the city. I particularly appreciated the attention to detail: from the high-quality bed linens to the stylish furniture and perfect lighting – everything has been thought of. The breakfast buffet was also an absolute highlight! A huge selection of fresh, regional, and high-quality products – there's something for every taste. Whether it's fresh fruit, crispy rolls, a wide selection of cheeses and sausages, or delicious hot dishes – this is the perfect start to your day. The excellent coffee and the friendly staff, who always greet guests with a smile, are particularly noteworthy. Another great plus is the wellness area. After a long day in Hamburg, I was able to relax wonderfully here. The sauna is a dream, and the tranquil atmosphere invites you to simply unwind. The entire staff at the Gastwerk also deserves high praise. From check-in to check-out, I received a warm welcome and felt completely at home. The employees are extremely attentive, professional, and helpful – the kind of service you'd expect from a hotel! The hotel's location is also perfect: a little away from the hustle and bustle, yet still very well connected. Public transportation takes you quickly to the city center or the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges), and the area surrounding the hotel also offers many great restaurants and cafés. All in all, I can wholeheartedly recommend the Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg. A place with character, charm, and the highest level of comfort – I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

When we come to Hamburg we always try to sleep in the Gastwerk. The atmosphere and ambience are always great and the whole hotel has its own charm. The rooms are spacious and furnished with attention to detail. Breakfast is my personal highlight every time, as there are lots of small rolls, side dishes and snacks to try and enjoy. Tuna is an absolute must for dinner at Mangold. We have been to you many times and will be happy to visit you again.

Great and mega stylish hotel; The cocktail bar is terrific and surprises with delicious cocktails (“something with rum, chocolate, gourmand, vegan”). Friendly staff, free parking. My favorite when I'm in Hamburg.

Nice hotel! We were in the restaurant in the evening - very nice staff. The food was good too. Super friendly SPA staff. Booking the sauna is only possible at certain times, which was a bit of a shame as a hotel guest because you couldn't use it flexibly. The rooms were nice and big. We had rooms facing the inner courtyard. Unfortunately, you could hear the elevator in the lobby even when the windows were closed. Maybe choose a different room next time. We'd love to come back.

The Gastwerk simply fits Hamburg extremely well. Lots of red brick, timeless exposed concrete, light, peace and style. In the lobby there are shelves full of architectural illustrated books, with which you can retreat to a lounge chair on an indoor balcony. Even a winter afternoon is a small vacation. The rooms are chic and at least functional (Loft S) to almost exaggerated (but stylish, Loft XXL). Spa area very good, although a bit expensive. The location in Otto-von-Bahren-Park is great: Edel-Edeka, drugstore Budni and Mission Pizza within walking distance, a medium walk to the Elbe, well connected with S1 and buses 2 and 3. Tip: Breakfast next door in the Superbude. Cheaper, more interesting, more hospitable and more humble.

I was recommended the hotel by a colleague and I am very happy about this tip. The style of the hotel appeals to me, parking spaces in front of the door, shopping and restaurants nearby... I'm convinced and this is my new standard hotel in Hamburg.

A great hotel with industrial charm. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, as are the employees in the hotel's own bar and restaurant, both of which are also highly recommended. I stayed at the hotel for business, and the corporate event, which also took place in the hotel premises, was, in my perspective, excellently managed.

My first stay at the Gastwerk and I am thrilled. This will be your go-to hotel when you go back to Hamburg. We were in Hamburg for a celebration - a total of around 16 friends who booked together at the Gastwerk. We received a friendly welcome (all the hotel staff were always helpful and polite). On Sunday morning we were able to refuel our car at the charging station, which was a useful luxury. Overall, I can't think of any criticism, it was a well-rounded experience

Very nice hotel, highly recommended for work and private life! Price performance fits! Right next door there is Holmes Place for training with a discount if you buy the tickets at the hotel. Very tasty, varied and high-quality breakfast. The rooms were very clean and simply beautifully and stylishly furnished! The bed was huge and super comfortable! A hotel that you should definitely try if you are in Hamburg. Always my pleasure!

Good hotel, converted factory, nice and spacious

Just simply stunning. I wanted to stay for years. Finally we got the chance. Took a suit and it was sensational. This is highly recommended. It’s a bit out of the city but such a lovely place it’s worth it. Try a Bloody Mary. They are amazing here.

Consistently 5 ⭐️ Although we only stayed in the hotel for one night, we can only report positive things. The “previous check-in” made things a lot easier during the actual check-in. Very nice and quick processing. The room was great. Everything was clean, great atmosphere and we slept very well. The rooms are very nice and modernly equipped. In the evening we drank delicious drinks at the bar. (A little overpriced) The highlight was the breakfast. A very nice welcome. We were brought to the table and our drinks were immediately taken. The breakfast was very rich, fresh and tasty. Great consideration was given to gluten intolerance. Thank you for that. Check out without any problems. We'll definitely be back. Good afternoon and also a happy New Year. We were your guests from December 29/30, 24 We (2 adults and 3 children) had a nice room on the second floor with a view of the lobby. Our children were very happy with the hotel's facilities and the room, so we would like to travel here again if we can get a good price again.

Unfortunately, we had unpleasant experiences in the hotel's spa, where we were unfortunately not shown any kind of accommodation. As external visitors, we booked a massage appointment and 2 hours in the sauna. The massages could only take place one after the other and not in parallel - that was okay for us at first. The masseuse welcomed us very warmly and the massage itself was really good. BUT: when I wanted to relax in the relaxation area and sauna after my massage, loud music was turned on somewhere nearby, the bass of which boomed through the entire spa area. Relaxation was no longer an option. My partner heard this during his massage. When we asked, the masseuse explained to us that there was probably a fitness studio next door where classes were held with loud music. But on a Sunday afternoon that would be rather unusual. We then ended our spa time over an hour earlier (an employee then started vacuuming loudly while we were in the relaxation area) and described our experience when paying at the reception. It was explained to us that the spa was run externally and that they only did the billing - but that they would pass on our complaint and get back to us regarding a refund we requested. Yesterday we received an email from reception saying that they understood our displeasure, but that they couldn't refund us anything. We are really very disappointed with so little hospitality - especially because we had a very good impression of the hotel itself. We have now paid over €200 for this spa stay, which was very un-relaxing (apart from the really good massage) and therefore ended early... Bad luck for the hotel if, according to some reviews here, it is obviously the spa operator who repeatedly causes dissatisfaction and this then reflects on the hotel. We can absolutely not recommend it!

Very bad service, we had breakfast included and asked in reception if possible to have box prepared as we leave for airport. Reception said yes of course, so we wake up earlier just to come to rude receptionists who had no idea what we are talking about...

Beautifully designed hotel within the walls of an old gasworks. If you like to sleep with the window open, you should book a room that opens to the outside and not to the hotel interior.

I had the S Loft and absolutely regretted it. The room has no window. So you can't let fresh air in. The ladies at reception didn't get tired of repeatedly mentioning that I would get a better room in a higher price range. Sorry, so you can probably expect a window. The extractor hood couldn't keep up in the bathroom when someone had to go to the toilet, just poor performance unfortunately...

The Gastwerk, look at the homepage, I think it's a great hotel. The service is also impeccable, the rooms are super clean. Parking spaces for large cars can sometimes be tight. The underground car park cannot be used for GLE GLS X5 or similar vehicles. Unfortunately, the parking spaces in front of the hotel often fill up very quickly. Otherwise, a real recommendation in Hamburg, especially if you don't want too modern. Modern here refers to the hotel look from the outside! Gastwerk = converted old gasworks. Very clean, very well organized, always friendly no matter which team is at the start.

I was in Hamburg on business for a training course. The room left nothing to be desired. The furniture was very versatile: desk, sofa, bathroom furniture and comfortable bed. The service was very accommodating. The breakfast buffet is more than extensive. I will stay at this hotel again at any time during my next stay in Hamburg. The only small drawback I personally see is that this hotel is a little remote.

The hotel is like a small museum. Beautiful pictures hang on the wall everywhere, the waterfall is sensational, the pool table, the interior rooms with balconies. Everything beautifully decorated. We had dinner at Mangold in the evening, it was delicious and beautifully prepared. Afterwards, let the bartender serve you great, delicious cocktails at the bar. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. Great courteous staff in all areas. You can get into the city quickly with the S Bahn and bus.

The hotel is very nice and structured. The rooms and the entire atmosphere are very comfortable and invite you to linger. Breakfast comes at a price, but the selection is unbeatable. That was very nice, unfortunately I would never book there again! I booked two rooms for one night. Unfortunately, my daughter and her family fell ill with Corona the day before. She immediately contacted the hotel and Booking.com and did not want to cancel her room but rather postpone her arrival and even extend her stay to two days. Booking agreed to this, but the hotel only informed me three days later that they were sticking to their contract and deducted the full price. I don't find this approach appropriate for a hotel in this price category.

One of the advantages is that you can have breakfast until 1 p.m. on weekends. The wellness area is also very nice, but unfortunately there is only one size for the bathrobes. The bar is large and food is offered upstairs, I wouldn't eat there. The tables are too low. Of course you could also eat at the bar, but I don't think that's a good idea. Otherwise it is a great hotel with super nice and competent staff. I would book it again and again.

The room was nice and big and very nice. The hotel has industrial charm. You have to walk a bit to get to the S-Bahn, but then you'll be at the popular sightseeing spots in no time. We'll be back.

We stayed at the guesthouse for one night. The hotel ambience met our taste exactly. The hotel is ideal if you are attending an event at the trap racing track. Unfortunately it was not possible to book a treatment in the wellness area on the day of departure (Sunday). The range of e-charging stations could be better these days. We would book the hotel again at any time.

The Gastwerkhotel has very friendly employees. The gummy bears at the reception are very tasty. The restaurant staff is happy to accommodate special requests. The Gastwerkhotel has two iMacs at the reception that guests can use free of charge. There is also the opportunity to purchase some things such as books, figurines, schnapps, sweaters, etc. at the reception. The hotel offers massages in the SPA area, which can be booked via the internet homepage. Unfortunately, the spa staff didn't have an appointment available for a couples massage at the same time, so we skipped the massage they offered. There may still be room for improvement when it comes to scheduling appointments. One floor of the hotel is currently being renovated. This didn't bother us personally. The hotel also needs renovation in other areas. Unfortunately we couldn't play on the billiard table due to renovations in the hotel. We would have loved to spend some time there. We can say that our room was very clean. The room was equipped with a ceiling fan, a small safe and a minibar. Unfortunately, the prices for the food in the minibar were way too high, so we didn't afford anything there. We gratefully waived it. The lighting in the hotel room wasn't great, so as a woman I had problems putting on make-up. Our hotel room had a balcony, but the view of the porters or the empty hotel lobby was not great. We didn't see anyone using the balconies. The hotel has some rough edges that need to be improved, for example our exhaust in the bathroom didn't work, the paint on the door was peeling off and the wall wasn't painted properly. At the spa reception there were even fallen boards from the reception table lying around on the floor. We also found it a shame that there were few decorations in the hotel. Hanging clocks didn't work or didn't have clock hands mounted. The hotel looks as intended, but failed. It was also unfortunate to see a used plate sitting on a trolley in the hotel all day. None of the employees even came up with the idea of ​​bringing it back into the kitchen. Something like that can quickly start to stink and trigger a disgust factor. Unfortunately we discovered that the price of breakfast was far too expensive. We saved 26 euros per person and went for breakfast somewhere else that was significantly cheaper. We no longer want to visit the hotel because of the increased hotel room price.

Again and again: Absolute TOP recommendation for HH. As soon as you enter the hotel it says “Welcome home”. The staff is extremely attentive & friendly. The rooms great. The restaurant is also a recommendation and the bar is a must to end the evening. And in front of the fireplace, even a rainy afternoon is a great way to while away the hours... Immediately there! ;-)

I didn't go to the hotel but to the spa for a massage. €85 for 55 minutes. The massage was quite disappointing. The hotel's environment and furnishings are beautiful and unique.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, tolles Ambiente, das Hotel besticht mit der hochwertigen geschmackvollen Einrichtung. Gleich am Empfang wurden wir super freundlich begrüßt. Das Zimmer hat uns begeistert. Die Bar ist gemütlich eingerichtet, super Getränkeauswahl. Das Frühstück ist ausgezeichnet, auch hier war das Personal, genau wie in der Bar und am Empfang sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Meine Übernachtung im Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg war ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis. Das beeindruckende Gebäude allein ist schon einen Besuch wert, und die Unterkunft selbst war äußerst komfortabel. Der Zimmerservice sowie das hoteleigene Restaurant überzeugten durch ihre Exzellenz – kulinarischer Genuss in einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Außerdem haben wir die hauseigene Sauna genutzt, die auch empfehlenswert ist inkl. Dampfbad. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das großzügige Frühstücksbuffet, das eine beeindruckende Vielfalt bietet. Egal welche Vorlieben man hat, hier findet man für jeden Geschmack das Passende. Die Mitarbeiter des Gastwerk Hotels verdienen ebenfalls Lob. Ihr freundliches Auftreten und ihre Hilfsbereitschaft trugen maßgeblich zu meinem positiven Aufenthalt bei. Insgesamt kann ich einen Besuch im Gastwerk Hotel Hamburg nur empfehlen.

Vom ersten Moment war ich geflasht. Ein ganz tolles Hotel. Einfach für ein verlängertes Wochenende, Urlaub oder wie ich, zu einem Workshop oder Tagung. Ein Ambiente das seines gleichen sucht. Gepflegt und ordentlich und doch so anders. Auch von der Küche zu Abend oder dem Frühstück war ich total überrascht. Aber ich möchte nicht nur meine Meinung zum Ausdruck bringen. Auch all meine Kollegen (ausnahmslos) teilen meine Meinung. Großen Dank, an alle die dieses Hotel zum Erlebnis machen, Service, Küche Reinigungs- und Haustechnikpersonal und wie auch alle eure Bezeichnungen sind. Danke. Ich komme wieder!

Wir hatten von unserem Unternehmen ein Event im Gastwerk Hotel und ich, wie auch viele andere aus dem Unternehmen übernachteten einen Tag vorher im Hotel. Ein wirklich schönes, interessantes Hotel. Mein Zimmer ging in den Innenbereich, war sehr schön und hatte ein neues schickes Bad. In der Nacht herschte absolute Stille, das habe ich in einem Hotel vorher noch nie erlebt. Der Service in der Lobby, der Bar und im Restaurant war ausgezeichnet. In der gemütlichen Bar haben wir einen netten Abend verbracht und das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Mein besonderes Lob geht noch mal an das wirklich nette Personal im gesammten Hotel. Top, ihr macht das einfach toll. Also ich kann das Gastwerk Hotel mit 5 Sternen weiter empfehlen und komme gern wieder.

Alles Topp. 4 Sterne, weil wir bei der Ankunft nicht gesagt bekamen, dass wir auf keinen Fall auf dem nebenan liegenden Parkplatz parken dürfen (die hoteleigenen Parkplätze waren vollständig belegt). Unser Mietfahrzeug mit Gepäck für 2 Wochen war 2h später abgeschleppt und wurde erst gegen eine Zahlung von 315 Euro wieder freigegeben. Das hätten wir uns am Anfang unseres Urlaubes gerne erspart.

Wir sind sehr begeistert von diesem tollen Hotel. Architektonisch super in Szene gesetzt, geschmackvoll und stilsicher eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl und willkommen. Wir haben sogar ein Upgrade in der Zimmerkategorie bekommen. Toller Service, sehr freundlicher Empfang und einige Sightseeing Tipps. Zimmer sehr großzügig, sehr sauber mit moderner Möblierung, Kaffeekapsel Maschine, Tee und gefüllte Minibar. Das Bad ist großzügig und es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Safe und großer Schrank auch vorhanden. Wer gern etwas festere Matratzen bevorzugt, sollte es beim Buchen/einchecken erwähnen. Köstliche Drinks und freundlicher Service in der Bar/Lobby- dort kann man einen entspannten Abend verbringen. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Es wird stetig nachgelegt und es gibt eine köstliche Speisenauswahl! Pluspunkt ist auch das mögliche, späte auschecken. Es gibt ausreichend Parkmöglichkeiten, die auch für die heutige größe der PKW's geeignet ist. Gute Anbindung an den ÖPNV. Alles in Allem top! Wir kommen definitiv wieder und dann mit SPA Nutzung 😉

Ich war hier als externer Gast im Wellnessbereich. Der Umkleidebereich ist nicht gut durchdacht. Schränke viel zu klein, kaum Platz und wenig Sitz- und Ablagefläche. Die gebuchte Massage war sehr angenehm. Es gibt eine Sauna und ein Dampfbad, der Ruhebereich ist sehr ansprechend.

Top, spannende Architektur, gute Preis Leistung

Haben hier schon ein paar Mal die Bar besucht und waren immer super zufrieden. Toller Service, angenehme Atmosphäre und gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten. Hier kann man es auch länger aushalten und sich durch die Karte probieren. Die Drinks sind wunderbar und nicht 08/15. Dafür sind die Preise eher angehoben.

Sehr geschmackvolles Ambiente! Service ist erstklassig! Das Frühstück sehr gut!
