The food is amazing and there's something for everyone. The service is fantastic, the atmosphere is amazing, the prices are great, and the spritzers are simply amazing. There's a huge selection at breakfast, and the tapas at lunch and dinner are highly recommended. Dogs are also very welcome.

Just spent a fantastic evening with you! The Saarland tapas are a great idea – small, cleverly prepared portions with a typical Saarland flair. Perfect for trying different flavors! The sauerkraut doughnuts with Maggi herb pesto and the pork cheeks with fried potato salad were particularly delicious – simply delicious! The service was super friendly and gave us excellent advice. The atmosphere is cozy, just right for a relaxed evening with friends. A definite recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Saarland cuisine in a different way!

The breakfast buffet is truly fantastic—it has everything you could wish for. What's especially nice is that you can enjoy as much coffee, cappuccino, and tea as you like.

Great breakfast buffet This was our first time here. We love eating out for breakfast, but unfortunately, we've been disappointed lately. Not so here. It was all-around great, not to say perfect. A very friendly welcome, delicious and, above all, fresh food, and great service. Everything you need is there (and a little more 😉), and if something runs out at the buffet, it's immediately refilled. Very attentive. We'll definitely be back!

We went there for the first time today, Friday. We had booked a table and when we arrived we stood there for a few minutes until the waitress showed us our table. She was a bit annoyed. Well then we thought maybe we were under stress. I ordered fish with potato salad. The potatoes were different sizes so they weren't cooked yet. When I complained, she said that's how we get them from the farmer... What that has to do with the degree of doneness is new to me. When my daughter wanted to say something about it, she replied in a cheeky tone, "Let me finish." That is out of place as a waitress. Oh and my criticism of the potato salad was ignored. It's a shame - we wanted to come more often but unfortunately the restaurant doesn't feel it is necessary to satisfy a customer. That wouldn't have happened at Herr Stolz's in the past. With that in mind.

I was here for the first time today, and I'm thrilled. The warm service makes you feel right at home. The food was excellent. A definite insider tip. I'll definitely be back.

The Saarland tapas are a lovely, tasty idea. It would be nice if they served Saarland beer (my Helles was Krombacher). The ambiance is a bit dated, unfortunately, but the new owners are just getting started.

We've only been here for the breakfast buffet. A very cozy, rustic restaurant with very friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. There are rolls, croissants, many types of sausage and cheese, muesli, fruit, etc. The absolute highlight, however, is the price performance. The breakfast buffet costs 13.90 p.p. INCLUDING coffee specialties from the fully automatic machine. We'll definitely be back. Next, the Saarland tapas will be tested. The ambience only gets 4 stars because the restaurant is quite “old-fashioned” and therefore seems quite dark. But that's more personal taste than real criticism. Definitely an absolute recommendation from me

Saarländische Gerichte modern interpretiert. Wir waren unsicher wegen der Portionsgröße der Tapas und ich habe mich dann für 2 verschiedene als Hauptgang entschieden. Es blieb mir gerade noch Platz für ein leckeres Erdbeer-Tiramisu. Alle am Tisch waren absolut begeistert von der Auswahl und dem Geschmack der Speisen. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Today we were there with 6 people for the breakfast buffet. Everything was very neat and comfortable. Large selection and it was always replenished. Sausage/cheese platter, sweet spreads, scrambled eggs, pancakes with topping, croissants, fruit, muesli, yoghurts and delicious rolls. Mixed coffee drinks are also included. We'll be back :-)

Great breakfast buffet, something for every taste, including coffee!!! Very nice service. Small suggestion for improvement: Place a cutting board with a bread knife next to the delicious, crispy rolls so that you can cut them more easily. Thank you for the lovely and cozy Saturday morning.

Today we went to the schnitzel buffet. Extraordinary variety of salads, schnitzels and sauces, delicious. It wasn't the last time.

We've been to the restaurant "Zum Landsknecht" several times now, both for breakfast and lunch. We were always very satisfied with the price-performance ratio and we also enjoyed the dishes we ordered. There's definitely still some work that can be done on the ambience, as the interior is already showing its age. What struck us as strange - and we've done so twice already - is that the employees clean the floor with a tea towel when there are puddles of water or something else that needs to be cleaned up. A floor cloth should be used for this.

This evening we had dinner with 7 people at the Zum Landsknecht restaurant. Unfortunately we cannot share the many positive reviews. The chicken breast fillet strips in the salad plate and the fried potatoes in the rump steak were burnt. The salad buffet is not appealing to our taste and also not recommended. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. However, the staff tried to excuse the whole thing by offering more food and drinks. However, we didn't make use of it.

I like it very much. Nice ambience. Nice service and a sufficient selection of food. Rolls, croissants, sausage, cheese, jam, Nutella, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, eggs. Coffee from the fully automatic machine as much as you want. Great, come back.

Hello, I had breakfast at Landknecht this morning with my family. Everything was great, very attentive service, I felt very comfortable and we will go back again to test the evening menu.

Breakfast buffet, pretty much everything you need, what should be particularly mentioned is that ALL coffee specialties in the buffet are free, which is just coffee everywhere else. The staff is really super friendly, you feel comfortable and the price is right too.

The breakfast at “Zum Landsknecht” was absolutely fantastic! A lovingly prepared selection of fresh rolls, regional specialties, aromatic coffee and very tasty jams - here you can tell that the cooking is done with heart. I was particularly impressed by the warm dishes such as scrambled eggs and bacon, which were prepared to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. If you're in the area, you definitely shouldn't miss this breakfast!

Beautiful, rustic atmosphere, you immediately feel very comfortable. The waiter was extremely friendly and the food was simply great. We were so full after the starter and main course that unfortunately we couldn't fit any more dessert. But we will come back and try a dessert too ;-)

We enjoyed the breakfast buffet for the second time today. The buffet offers everything that makes a good, delicious buffet. By the way, I love being pleasantly surprised by the gastronomy, and that happened today with the "vegan pancakes" with a light banana flavor, which were a hit. They looked so good and tasted even better. “The better way to try is to study”. My companion, a vegan, was here for the second time and loved it. The offer for vegans can still be expanded. The location is a former restaurant, but super cozy. We'd love to come back.
