Great Greek food in a nice atmosphere

We're eating here right now. The food is absolutely delicious 😋. It wasn't exactly cheap, but it was worth it. 🍟 The crispy crust was amazing! If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

We visited Waldhorn for the first time yesterday, and we'll be back 😊👍🏻. We had gyros, a mixed grill, a feta cheese side dish, and pita bread. Everything was really delicious, and I have to say, the fries are amazing. Even the side dishes show that they've put some effort into them. The salad was also crisp and the dressing delicious. 👍🏻 I'll happily repeat: We'll be back 😊

I had the gyro special, and it was incredibly delicious. Great meat and outstanding sauce. The other dishes were also delicious.

Delicious Greek food with freshly prepared pita bread. During our visit, there were only two servers, which was a bit low considering the restaurant's busy schedule. As a result, the wait times were quite long. The chairs are visually appealing, but we found them a bit uncomfortable. Nevertheless, a great restaurant, and we highly recommend the food.

Yes, but as with any good Greek restaurant, you have to be prepared for plenty of garlic. The insider tip here is the pickled beetroot. 😉

A cute tavern with a concise menu. My family and I had dinner at Waldhorn with about 20 people. Everyone was satisfied and had high praise for the restaurant. I thought it was a shame there were no vegan dips, except for the fava di melanzanosalata itself, which had cheese in it, which isn't authentic Greek. I would have liked at least two vegan main courses and a vegan soup. Perhaps the restaurant will offer more in the future? ☺️ In any case, everyone enjoyed their meal, and when Greeks say it, it's true. Giamas

Very beautiful shop! Wonderful decoration, warm, atmospheric! The chef who came out to serve us also seemed very neat, clean, which shows that his kitchen must be in a similar condition! This is very basic, if we consider that many kitchens if we saw them from the inside, we would never set foot there again... The food is very neat, very delicious! It has a Vegan option, the mushrooms with rice, which were excellent! The gyros without meat was very, very tasty, but also the gyros with meat that my partner got told me was perfect! The service was very good! What more could one ask for? We will definitely go back! Just a retrospective observation, today I got two gyros and they were crazy salty. The same as the last time I got them. Give it a try guys when you do it, because we are now hesitant to get them again...

Nettes Lokal mit freundlicher Bedienung. Das Essen war reichhaltig und geschmacklich in Ordnung. Leider waren einige am nächsten Tag mit ähnlichen Symtomen krank. Irgendeine Zutat war wahrscheinlich nicht mehr ganz frisch. Schade - sonst hätte ich fünf Sterne vergeben.

Some parking is available. Payment is accepted by card or cash. Staff is friendly. Seating is available both indoors and outdoors. Large portions. Drinks are served promptly. Unfortunately, the food was brought in batches to a table for six and not all of it was served. High chairs for toddlers are available. The entrance is completely level and barrier-free.

We only stopped in for a drink but service was prompt, friendly and professional. The food looked really good and the other customers seemed happy. Nice outdoor area in summer and good atmosphere.

Card payments are now only possible from €20. I was just under this amount and the gentleman who served me had to ask the boss if I could pay by card because I didn't have enough cash with me. In addition, I was also informed by this man's younger colleague that it would be stated on the card posted at the entrance to the bar and on a sign in the bar that card payments were only possible from €20 onwards. I sat outside and didn't read the entire menu carefully! As a guest and an adult, I don't think it's okay to be lectured to. What was also not okay for me was that I wasn't allowed to stay at the table where I sat down. The waiter explained this by saying that the table was reserved. When I asked what time it was reserved, I didn't get an answer. There was also no reservation sign on the table and during the time I was sitting there no one who was assigned to this table came and there were at least two or three tables that were still free at the time of my visit and remained free. These two points and the rather unfriendly behavior of the cellar are the reason that I will no longer visit this restaurant.

I could eat the grilled octopus and the fried sardines every week and not get tired of them. IMHO one of the best places in town for Greek fare.

A wonderful place to eat Greek food. The place is beautifully decorated and the staff is a dream of politeness. The food is very tasty and prepared with love. The price-performance ratio is really appropriate for the food and I even think it's too cheap for that. I always like to come here because they have the best and crispiest fries. To be honest, a visit is always worth it. Whoever comes, I wish them a good appetite and I very much hope that they have the same opinion as I do.

Last night we spontaneously wanted to visit the Waldhorn. We were nearby...got a table and had a good time. All very tasty.

We were in the Waldhorn at the beginning of May 2024 with a group of six people. Two of them had already been here several times, for the other four (including me) it was their first visit. Reservations are definitely recommended... We were there on an early summer Saturday evening and had a seat in the covered outdoor area. The French horn is slightly offset from the street, which is very good for the background noise. If the Steinlach flowed a little closer, there would be even more of a holiday feeling. We ordered the Greek starter plate with different dishes as a starter (for two people - alone it would easily be a main course... ;) ) as a starter. The main course was the Greek “mixed plate” with, among other things: Gyros and other national specialties. For details please just look at the pictures... Drinks were taken in advance and came to the table very quickly, the same applies to the food. The distance between starter and main course was almost perfect; The service was attentive and caring throughout the evening. You also always had a smile on your face and were able to have a pleasant conversation - very positive. The quality of the food was very high, the Waldhorn may not be the cheapest in terms of price - but it doesn't have to be with the quality of the food and the overall package. PS: We also liked the way the food was presented - it was something different (positive!). We felt comfortable and will definitely come back. :)

A really beautifully and lovingly furnished restaurant with a lovely ambience... very, very tasty food! In my opinion the best Greek in Tübingen and the surrounding area. A friendly and attentive service. Not exactly cheap... Although the quality of the food is very good! So justified... because quality comes with quantity! We'd love to come back!

All in all top. It was easy to get a place for two people at short notice, even though the restaurant was very busy. Very good service and top food. You can also order smaller portions here. It was very nice there.

Excellent gastronomic experience. The service was top notch and with a good sense of humor. The food quality was outstanding, with a great variety of delicious choices, portions were very generous as well. The whole atmosphere is very warm and pleasant and the owners managed to demonstrate Greece at its finest. If you travel near Stuttgart, or Tübingen, definitely visit this nice and cozy place to dine.

We have learned to appreciate and love the restaurant and the team over the last few weeks and months. We were also able to celebrate our wedding here. From the planning to the preparation to the celebration, everything was well organized and completely according to our wishes. A Greek meal that you can hardly find in a restaurant in Germany, so authentic (for example Fava, extremely tender and tasty), and so professionally prepared (today especially the small fried sardines and sea bream, very fresh and juicy), everything was very good yummy. Thank you!

Great economy with good food and attractive presentation of the dishes. Service very nice and attentive. Ouzo on the house :). Criticism: -No large parking space available, actually only the parking spaces on the public street. -Although the menu lists fries and rice as a side dish at no extra charge, they simply charge extra for rice. This should be mentioned.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Die Vorspeisen eignen sich wunderbar auch als Hauptspeise zum teilen. Auch die Hauptspeisen sind groß und sehr lecker.

Ein herrlicher Besuch in einem sehr guten und authentischen griechischen Restaurant. Es ist herzig und uhrich eingerichtet, die deko passt zum restlichen Ambiente. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Auch der Empfang war herzlich und warm, wir wurden trotz nicht Reservierung freundlich empfangen. (Was in Tübingen langsam eine Seltenheit darstellt). Die Getränke wurden schnell aufgenommen und waren auch ruckzuck am Tisch. Da wir recht viel bestellt haben stellten wir uns auf eine längere Wartezeit ein, da auch das Restaurant relativ voll war. Doch dem war am Ende nicht so die Vorspeisen kamen recht schnell, scharfe Peperoni und käsebällchen mit Marmelade (leider keine selbst gemachte Marmelade, ein Pflaume Zimt Marmelade wäre ein absolutes Highlight gewesen), gefolgt von der griechischen Vorspeisen Platte (sehr zu empfehlen da diese hier nicht so ölig ist wie in anderen Restaurants), am Schluss folgten noch die Hauptspeise aus Gyros Teller und einer vegetarischen Moussaka. Geschmacklich war es hervorragend abgestimmt und auch die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals, rundeten den Besuch gänzlich ab. Als am Ende die Rechnung kam, wurden wir zudem noch von einem sehr adäquaten Preis überrascht. Durch und durch eine sehr gute Empfehlung für alle die gerne griechisch schlemmen möchten in gemütlicher Umgebung und freundlichen Menschen.

Guter Grieche mit allem, was man so mag und kennt. Ordentliche Portionen, ok Preise. Familienfreundlich. Tisch reservieren empfehlenswert.

Der Gyros vom Waldhorn war sehr lecker und die Qualität war überraschend gut. Die Pita Gyros waren frisch zubereitet und kamen schnell. Der Geschmack war ausgezeichnet und die Sauce war hervorragend. Ich würde es wieder kaufen und empfehle es jedem, der einen leckeren Gyros zum Mitnehmen sucht.

Sehr Uhriges Lokal mit schönem griechisch häuslichem Dekor. Nette Sprüche an Tafeln an den Wänden. Das Essen ist Top und qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Der Service ist hervorragend und sehr kinderfreundlich. Wir wurden sogar bei unserer Reservierung darauf hingewiesen am Besten etwas früher zu kommen, da schon sehr viele Reservierungen vorhanden waren, damit wir keine langen Wartezeiten mit unserer Tochter haben. Als wir dann fertig waren wollte unsere Tochter noch einen Nachtisch aber wir waren voll. Da hat die Bedienung kurzer Hand ein Kinder MaxiKing für unsere Tochter gebracht. Sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem ein gelungener und schöner Besuch. Dementsprechend viel dann auch das Trinkgeld aus.

Nette Lokation. Service hält sich komplett zurück und wird nur auf Zuruf aktiv. So konsumieren wir wenig und verweilten lange. Das Essen war unterschiedlich. Den anderen am Tisch hatte es geschmeckt, ich fand meinen Octopus wurde nicht lange genug gegrillt. Die Wasserflasche wurde eindeutig schon sehr oft gespült. Der Deckel hatte einige deutliche Gebrauchsspuren und innen einige dunkle Punkte. Ich bezweifle mal sehr, dass hier das serviert wurde was auf der Flasche aufgedruckt und ebenso auf der Karte stand.

Wir sind mit unserem Verein einmal im Monat zu Gast im Waldhorn, das Essen ist super lecker, die Bedienung freundschaftlich und wir kommen immer wieder gerne!

Hallo Zusammen, also das Lustnauer Waldhorn ist mir etwas zu sehr gehyped. 4,7 ist definiti zu hoch. Da gibt es ganz andere Griechen in der Region. Das Gyros Spezial, also das Überbackene war nicht schlecht, aber ich habe auch schon bessere und weniger gute gegessen. Mir fehlte auch der Teller auf den ich aus der Auflaufform und der Pommesschale das Essen praktischer herausnehmen hätte essen könne. Der Service schwankte zwischen freundlich, etwas zu aufdringlich und übersehen. Alles in allem trotzdem eine gute Adresse und man wird auf keinen Fall total enttäuscht sein!

Ansich ein gutes Lokal der Service ist schnell überfordert. Das Essen ist soweit gut denoch wenn etwas abbestellt wird wie keine Pommes dafür mehr Gemüse kosten den gleichen Preis plus 8€ nicht ganz fähr. Das hat ein leichten Geschmack von abzocke. Ein Lokal wo man hingehen kann aber nicht oft. Etwas schade denn sie hätten alles für ein Stamm Lokal.

Super leckeres Essen, Service und Ambiente super. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Haben gestern einen so lustigen und schönen Abend gehabt im Waldhorn. Der Kellner hat dazu beigetragen, daß wir einfach nur Spaß hatten und viel lachen konnten. Macht einfach weiter so. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. 😊🎉

Unser Besuch im Waldhorn war ein voller Erfolg. Das Essen, authentisch griechisch, hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Trotz der etwas höheren Preise, haben wir uns gut aufgehoben gefühlt, denn die Bedienung war top. Die Terrasse ist besonders gemütlich und trägt zu einem entspannten Ambiente bei. Absolut empfehlenswert, wir werden sicher wieder ins Waldhorn gehen.

Absolut tolles Lokal . Zur Abwechslung wollten wir griechisch essen gehen ,Und nun sind wir bei diesem lokal hängen geblieben da es so gutes Essen gibt . Service /Lokal/ Bedienung und Essen einfach Top . Hiermit gebe ich + 5 Sterne. Kaum angekommen fühlen wir uns wie in Griechenland 😀. Wir können es von Herzen einfach weiter empfehlen.

Toller Grieche mit wunderschönem Biergarten. Mit dem Fahrrad von Tübingen nur 10 Minuten. Sehr zu empfehlen…..auch wenn man dem Altstadtrummel mal entfliehen möchte.

Das Essen war überraschend gut: es war ein Holztablett mit kalamari, Giros, Reis und Tsatsiki. Kalamari hatten eine dünne Kruste und waren zart, Fleisch war sehr lecker, Reis war auch gut, Tsatsiki war dick und mit frischer Gurke. Schade ich konnte nicht alles aufessen. Habe von meinem Tanzpartner sein Essen (Giros speziale und Pommes) auch noch probiert: war lecker ( gut gewürzt). Ah ja der Nachtisch war auch gut (GrießKuchen mit Eis und Schokosoße). In großen und ganzen: das hat geklappt die Stimmung an dem Abend zu verbessern.

wir hatten für 16 Menschen reserviert ,und es war so geschmackvoll eingedeckt mit weißen Tischdecken und bunten Tellern Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und auch gleich bedient . Das Essen war wir immer super gut ,und obwohl der Laden brummte und es nur 2 Bedienungen gab wurden wir zügig bedient Es war eine gute Stimmung , und ich wollte mich auf diesem Wege noch einmal Herzlich bedanken für das freundliche miteinander von Ihnen alle

Ordentliche Portion. Waldhorn Teller war sehr lecker. Gute Pommes, krosses Gyros, leckere Kalamari. Mezé war auch sehr lecker.

In dieser Gaststätte ist seit November 2019 ein neuer Pächter. Nun gibt es hier Griechische und Deutsche Küche. Der Gastraum ist hell und freundlich. Im Prinzip unverändert zum Vorgänger. Der Keller war sehr freundlich. Das Essen kam zügig und war wirklich sehr lecker. Die Portionen waren nicht riesig, aber man wurde satt. Leider hat er ein Gericht was bestellt war nicht notiert und es somit auch nicht serviert. Etwas schade. Nach dem Essen, gab es für den ganzen Tisch eine Portion Griechischer Joghurt mit selbst eingelegten Trauben, aus dem Heimatort. Wirklich sehr lecker! Was uns leider gar nicht gefallen hat, war die Art des Kassierens. Das Restaurant war nicht voll, d.h. mit uns waren noch 2 Tische belegt. Wir erhielten den Kassenbon für den ganzen Tisch auf den Tisch gelegt und konnten nun gucken wie wir das regeln, da jeder gerne separat zahlen wollte. Meiner Meinung total unfreundlich... Zumal wirklich nicht viel los war... Geschmacklich war das Essen sehr gut, aber im Service ist noch Luft nach oben!
