The staff is very friendly. The gyros and currywurst are very good. Unfortunately, the mayonnaise has been forgotten several times, even though it was paid for. The portion of mayonnaise is only enough for a child's French fry. So, really little for the price.

I've been a customer for years, your gyros are always great. I don't want to badmouth you, but today my gyros were nothing. The pita, wonderfully fresh from a skewer. The portion of meat was cut off from the other skewer. Inedible doesn't know if the skewer was old or if it was a bad time. No idea.

The food here is simply delicious. The staff is always very friendly. The portions are very generous; you definitely won't go hungry here. I love the farmer's salad because it has a generous amount of feta cheese, something I've never had at any other chip shop. The prices are reasonable, and the wait is never too long, even though it's almost always busy.

First, the positives. Someone answers the phone promptly, and orders are usually ready for pickup within 10 minutes. Unfortunately, the Saloniki Grill has been declining recently. We've been customers for many years; not regularly, but we come a few times a year. We weren't that impressed with our last order, and today, unfortunately, that impression was confirmed again. We usually order the Taxi Platter and the Saloniki Platter. The meat on the latter is now so dry that it's almost dusty. The seasoning isn't particularly good either. On the plate, there's a souvlaki, now four tiny, bone-dry pieces. Two steaks - which used to be two different ones, but now both are the same shoe sole with a strange aftertaste - and a cevapcici. It's an art to grill minced meat so dry and dry gyros. The fries are so flabby. The Taxi Platter, in particular, is very tasty, but I can get that at the chip shop around the corner. Unfortunately, this was our last order there for now. We'll be changing trains to Höntrop or Linden. It's a shame, but the money is too precious for us and the trip there isn't worth it anymore.

I picked up the food and it wasn't ready, which is OK, but when I opened it at home the fries were hot but the meat wasn't, which is a shame.

I've been a regular customer there for about 30 years, and the food has always been great. Unfortunately, the owners seem to have changed. They don't change the fat regularly anymore; the fries are soggy and very dark. They constantly forget to add mayonnaise, even though you pay for it. The Metaxa sauce is getting smaller and smaller, so much so that the schnitzel is almost dry, especially at those prices. The gyros is also a bit dry. I'm very disappointed and now always go to a different Greek restaurant in Höntrop.

Unfortunately it wasn't so good today (we ordered for three people).. Taxi plates.. Currywurst fries.. And once only Currywurst.. Everyone is sitting on the toilet.. Constant diarrhea.. No idea what's going on.. It's a shame.. It was probably the last time..

I know the shop from its first owners and for me it was one of the best chip shops in Bochum. When the owner changed I was pleasantly surprised, nothing had changed in terms of taste and I continued to go there. Unfortunately, things have gotten a lot worse since the Corona period. Prices have gone very high and quality has plummeted. Sorry. I can no longer recommend them at all 😢. But the staff is very nice. I just can't get enough of that 🤷

Best gyros in Bochum, I'd love to meet Berlin celebrities there. Unfortunately only 2 1/3 tables, toilets for obese people like me can only be accessed from the side.

You always get delicious food at Saloniki Grill. Most recently, I was really impressed with the feta dip!

We used to be regulars at this chip shop. Everything was always super tasty. The taxi plate in particular was always popular, as were the farmer's salad and the tzatziki. Unfortunately, Corona hasn't been so good for the chip shop. Up until then, we had been totally thrilled with the status of consistently good quality for more than 20 years. Unfortunately, the prices have now risen so much that I'm no longer willing to pay such prices for fast food. But I can cook for myself and still have money in my wallet. In addition, it is now a stroke of luck whether you get delicious food or whether you have to be annoyed. Sometimes it tastes good, sometimes it doesn't. If I used to be there 2-3 times a month, I'm there maybe twice a year and then usually not even for myself, but for others. Absolutely a shame. I hope someone from there reads the review and reads it objectively. I would be happy if something else happens there.

I've always enjoyed going to Saloniki Grill and taking something home to eat. Everything was always great in terms of taste, but today I was downright shocked. I can understand that the costs have to be taken into account. But when I order mayo, I expect a little more than a thimbleful.

Wir haben eine Flasche Weißwein, Gyros mit Zwiebeln und Zaziki und Gyros Pita offen bestellt. Das Fleisch war gut gewürzt und zart, das Zaziki war sehr lecker und auch der Krautsalat und das Pita Brot waren gut. Die Bedienung war wie immer sehr freundlich. Kurzum alles war perfekt.

Since we live nearby, we have been eating here off and on for many years. A good Greek with everything you need. The fries are always very crispy and nicely salted! The salads are also very tasty. The schnitzels are freshly made! There are 3 options for consumption on site - so 3 tables 1x for 3 people, 1x 2 people and 1x 4 people. You can also get various drinks here. Price-performance fits!

Taste matter, I think it's good

I went there again for dinner after a long time. Gyros with onions, coleslaw and fries. Tastes great, just like before! But when I had to pay I lost my appetite - €13.40 is extremely high. As tasty as it is there - unfortunately the price is not worth another visit to me.

I haven't eaten there for a while. It got very expensive and the gyros were unfortunately tasteless. It just tasted like meat. The portions are still very large.

The ambience, it's very spatan-style but also clean, it's a snack bar, so I don't expect a restaurant ambience. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. The staff is well organized and very friendly. Unfortunately you can only pick up the food, delivery is not possible.

I used to enjoy going there quite a bit, but since the rising inflation rate has been adjusted by the minute, sometimes even faster than the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the joy, but also the taste, has diminished more and more: the prices on the menu have increased three or more in the last few months increased four times. I was negatively surprised every time. I read in one of the reviews here that a portion of gyros, fries, salad and tzatziki cost 8.50 euros 5 years ago. It is now 13.40 euros (as of February 2024)... Despite the price increases, the portions have neither gotten better nor larger, on the contrary: the quality has deteriorated quite a bit. It has now become almost cheaper to order from other "Greeks" (from the comfort of your own home) via Lieferando, which is something I will only do in the future. A pity! Nevertheless, the staff there is VERY nice and friendly!

Essen immer lecker, leider Mondpreise dafür kann man schon fast zum Griechen essen gehen

Ich bin Kunde seitdem es den Laden gibt, aber leider hat er sehr nachgelassen. Wer dort 3 mal Gyros holt, ist 2 mal enttäuscht. Dann ist das Fleisch knorpelig oder labbrig und schlecht genießbar. Dazu kommen die unverschämten Preiserhöhungen, welche nicht mit der Inflation zu rechtfertigen sind. Wenn es demnächst, wenn die MWST wieder angehoben wird, wieder eine Erhöhung gibt, dann ist der Laden für mich gestorben. Besser wäre es die Portionen etwas zu verkleinern, sogar die Kinderportionen sind so groß, dass viele Leute nicht ganz aufessen.

Eine sehr guter griechischer Imbiss in Bochum. Ich habe schon viele verschiedene "Taxiteller" hier im Umfeld ausprobiert. Keiner kam annähernd an dem vom Saloniki Grill dran. Die verstehen was Taxiteller heißt. Deftige Portion zu fairen Preisen. Wer hier nicht satt wird, den kann ich nicht verstehen. Ich habe es mit Mühe aufgeschafft. Auch die Portionen zum Verzehr vor Ort sind riesig. Das Personal war ebenfalls mehr als freundlich und das Ambiente schön und sauber. Ein Besuch lohnt sich zu 100%. Vom mir eine ganz klare Weiterempfehlung.

Die Auslage der Lebensmittel (Gemüse, Salate) war optisch sehr sauber und akkurat. Auch die Portionen der Speisen waren sehr groß und appetitlich angerichtet. Das Ambiente im Imbiss war kein optisches Highlight, aber sauber und zum Speisen vor Ort absolut ausreichend. Die Qualität des Essens war ebenfalls sehr gut. Generell ist ein Besuch sehr empfehlenswert!!

Fleischspieße etwas trocken und zäh. Überall rotes Pommessalz (?) drauf. Und beim Gyrosteller muss man GENAU angeben, was man haben möchte. Sonst bekommt man Fleisch mit Pommes, ohne Tzatziki, Zwiebeln, Salat. In der Nähe trotzdem einer der solidesten Griechen.

Das beste Gyros weit und breit und Ordentlich wat aufen Teller.

Hatten 2 gyrosteller, waren sehr lecker gewesen, ging auch relativ schnell obwohl gut zu tun war...

Leider hat das Essen hier sehr nachgelassen. Wir essen hier seit 30 Jahren. Liebes Team 5 Pilze auf einem Jägerschnitzel und dann noch eine komplett geschmacksneutrale Sauce auf einem Tot gebratenen Stück Fleisch ist eine Zumutung! Probiert Mal Schnitzel im Schlemmertempel auf der Hattinger Straße. Die können das. Auch das Gyrus hat stark nachgelassen! Auch da gutes Beispiel zum vergleichen Nico's Grill in Höntrop. Ist dort zwar etwas teurer, aber schmeckt! Ihr müsst Euer Essen mal selber probieren und hinterfragen ob Ihr es selber essen môgt.

Saloniki, der Imbiss auf der "Wittener" lässt fast keine Wünsche übrig. Mit Ausnahme der Cevapcici sind dort alle Speisen grandios, Gyros, Suvlaki, selbst die Dönninghaus-Wurst sind hier zu Hause. Zu Stoßzeiten sind alle Plätze besetzt, nen Ouzo gibt es oft gratis dazu - ein total gemütlicher Ort zum Essen, um sich rundum wohlzufühlen und den vertrauten, einheimischen Klängen zu lauschen.

I think it’s the best restaurant near my apartment. I don’t like Turkish food but Greek food gave me a hit. And the female boss always smiles to me. Nice food. I will always go there when I am a “fauler Hund”, till I leave Bochum.

Das Essen ist ja echt lecker, aber bei den aktuellen Preisen überlege ich mir 2x, ob ich mir dort etwas zu essen hole :-/

Nicht vom Ambiente abschrecken lassen! Bedienung ist freundlich und schnell. Essen frisch und lecker. War lange nicht mehr hier, wegen Umzug, komme unbedingt wieder. Toilette zwar winzig, aber sauber.

Essen war gut, Toiletten sind zwar sauber aber Renovierungs bedürftig, Preise für einen Imbiss zu hoch

Gyrosteller war ganz ok. Aber der Salat war locker 2-3 Tage alt. Geht gar nicht.

Mich als Stammkunden verloren. Mittlerweile zahle ich für mein Gyrosteller und ein Getränk 14,20€. Eine Frechheit den Preis knapp 4€ zu erhöhen. Des weiteren stehen die Damen min. Zu viert hinter der Theke ohne hygienische Massnahmen wie Haarnetz oder Handschuhe. Bin sehr enttäuscht
