Gaststätte Maulbeeranlage in Heidelberg

Following an inspection conducted by the Food Inspection Authority (City of Heidelberg) on ​​May 21, 2025, the results were published on September 15, 2025. Please note: According to Section 40, Paragraph 1a of the Food and Feed Code (LFGB), this regulation expressly requires authorities to inform the public ONLY if there is sufficient suspicion or evidence of a SIGNIFICANT violation of hygiene or consumer protection regulations! Now to the content of the publication: FACTS/REASON FOR THE COMPLAINT "Significant hygiene deficiencies were identified in all areas of the facility. Food storage, in particular, was objectionable. Various food items were found to have passed their best-before and use-by dates. Various food items were spoiled and no longer suitable for human consumption (veal loin, pork topside, chicken mini steaks, spaetzle)." NOTES ON REMEDY AND REMARKS "Various food items were discarded. Food and beverage distribution was reopened on May 22, 2025." I hope that those responsible have since thoroughly remedied the identified deficiencies and implemented sustainable quality assurance measures. One star, in the hope of significant improvement and reliable hygiene.

Great food and a wonderful atmosphere drew me to the restaurant, and I wasn't disappointed. The fair prices also deserve mention. The hospitality is truly excellent; you feel at home as soon as you sit down. I'd be happy to come back.

A beer garden 10 meters from the A5, yet quiet and relaxed, casual, at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Simple, delicious food, large portions, and very personal service. No idea about wine 😅, but they offer a variety of well-chilled white wines, from Morio-Muscat to Riesling.

We spontaneously visited Heidelberg. And we came across this restaurant by chance. What can you say, food great, taste great and portion size very good. Service was also very nice. Keep it up... many greetings from the 5 Saxon holidaymakers

A spontaneous visit on a Tuesday evening and we found a table right away. A typical clubhouse, with Easter decorations on the table. The waitress was smoking for a while before she came to our table and took our order. But then the drinks and food came pretty quickly. Heidelberger Pilsner, very good. We both had schnitzel with fried potatoes, Tuesdays are schnitzel day, both small portions. The schnitzel, and especially the fried potatoes, were very tasty, and the portions were very generous; we were both full. To finish off, the friendly waitress offered us a shot of schnapps. If you're looking for rustic German food, this is the place for you. We'll be back; we highly recommend it. Where can you get a schnitzel with potatoes for €11 these days? Unbeatable value for money.

The right place for a little break from everyday life to enjoy good food and meet nice people. The chef does his job more than well and the service is always nice and open to a cheeky comment. The portions are generous and very tasty. It's definitely worth a visit, everyone who works there does a very good job.

We ended up here by chance and were pleasantly surprised. Delicious food, friendly people. It's a shame that we're traveling further tomorrow, otherwise we would definitely have come here again.

My girlfriend and I had dinner there today. We drove there for about 1.5 hours. She had the schnitzel with fried potatoes, and I had the cheese spaetzle. There was also a salad. Very, very tasty, the food was very generously portioned. Service from the boss himself. Will definitely come back soon. Thank you for the lovely evening.

The food is great. The cutlets with bacon beans are a poem. Not on the menu. Sometimes it's on the daily menu or just call and ask. The other dishes are also very good. Price-performance is completely okay. Very friendly waitresses.

Geilste Schnitzel in der Town !!!

Wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient, das Speisenangebot ist ansprechend. Wir hatten Hackbraten (der geschmackliche Hammer) und ein Schnitzel Größe S (für normalen Hunger ausreichend) mit Pfifferlingen. Dazu jeweils Bratkartoffeln und ein kleiner Salat. Alles sehr sehr lecker. Dazu gezapftes Bier/Weizen und etwas flüssiges Obst zur Verdauung (Himbeer/Mirabelle). Wir können die Gaststätte uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Liebe Grüße an Sonja :-)

Wir waren das erste Mal dort, bestimmt kommen wir wieder. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen hat geschmeckt.

Rein zufällig sind wir hier rein geraten und haben es nicht bereut. Es handelt sich um eine Restaurant in einer Gartenkolonie. Aber so ein leckeres Essen hätten wir nicht erwartet. Hinzu kommt eine sympathische Bedienung und ein Schnaps zum Essen. Wir haben uns gut aufgenommen gefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen.

Kleines, mit Liebe geführtes Kneipchen mit gutbürgerlicher Küche

Freundliche Menschen! Die Preise sind super und wer gerne von seinem Geld Satt werden will, der ist dort genau an der Richtigen Stelle! Endlich ein Ort"h" wo es leckere Pommes gibt , das Bier schmeckt, man was zu lachen hat und der Schnaps zum schluss den Magen wieder aufräumt! 🍻🥃🍶🍷🍽 !

Waren kürzlich zum Abendessen dort.Wir wussten das ein neuer Pächter in der Maulbeeranlage ist,waren mit unserem Essen nicht nur geschmacklich mehr als zufrieden,die Portionen waren recht üppig und auch die Preise sind gut.

Gemütliche Gaststätte mit einem Biergarten. Die Speisekarte ist überschaubar. Das Essen war sehr gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Das Servicepersonal ist freundlich.
