Following our little family tradition, we returned to the Kurfürstenstube the day before Christmas in 2024. Once again, everything was perfect. From the friendly, attentive, but never overly intrusive service staff to the kitchen, we were completely satisfied. The highlight was, once again, the children's excursion into the kitchen and Mrs. von Kretschmann's cuddly toys. A big thank you to the entire team for providing us with a wonderful evening despite the Christmas stress.

We had a very pleasant and delicious evening in the Kurfürstenstube. The food was classic fine dining and tasted excellent. The style of the room is a bit too classic for our taste.

Yesterday evening I visited the Kurfürstenstube. At Guide-Michelin this is listed under French Classic. Basically correct. I ordered a la carte. Among other things, a cold starter of baked falafel for €32. The portion size was very, very small and the plate was empty in four bites. I told ServiceKraft that the price was very disproportionate and asked them to pass this on to the appropriate authority. Unfortunately there was never an answer. The incident was ignored and of course the dish showed up at full price. The duck for €58 is also far too expensive. You can ask for that in a star restaurant if you have the right cooking skills. All in all very annoying, I advise against visiting because the restaurant is far too expensive overall. As we were leaving the restaurant, sandwiches and fries were being brought into the restaurant for hotel guests. Overall, that was the better choice.

The new menu at the Kurfürstenstube leaves neither a connoisseur's eye nor a dry palate dry. The dishes are characterized by a creative combination of fresh ingredients, which are then completed with perfect craftsmanship. As a hobby chef, I know how difficult it is to implement cooking points, temperature and plate appearance. I would particularly like to highlight the tuna carpaccio, which harmoniously combines both European and Asian ideas. I would also like to highlight the glassy lobster in a sole farce on a very dense crustacean sauce. This creation requires a lot of practice, craftsmanship and a lot of love and passion for the material. As a frequent traveler, I clearly come to the conclusion that the Kurfürstenstube deserves a Michelin star 🌟 for this menu. This is a very big cinema in terms of culinary and craftsmanship. The wine list also impresses with its wide regional breadth and good vintage depth in the overall selection. I applaud this culinary journey and thank the Kretschmann team and family for this wonderful experience. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We went in anticipating mixed service when it came to napkins, and boy were we wrong. We had a great meal and thought the sommelier picked out excellent wines. I hope to be back some day!

The dishes from the kitchen were all really very good. The atmosphere (just before Christmas) was, in a word, wonderful/enchanting. It was a pity that the pace was absent during the first two courses, even though they do not require that much preparation time. The wine accompaniment was not convincing and could be better, with the main course (roe) we had to make do with a leftover white wine from the scallop shell, the undoubtedly red wine passed us by. Of course we could have said something about that, but that is often a must after the meal, the deer had already found its way.

Great food, served by exceptionally attentive service staff in a stylish ambience. The whole thing is rounded off with a tasty Riesling from the Moselle. We would love to come back

If you wish the chef trusted his excellent products more, then there would be five stars here. The scallops were just as good in terms of product quality as the salmon or the tartare. But: Instead of letting the products work, they were overwhelmed with sauces and spiciness. A sentence about the wine list: The German wines are not cheap, but they are fairly priced. The champagnes and the French or Italian reds are not. Because Japanese or American tourists pay any price? Conclusion: There is huge untapped potential here.

The food is sensational. Small but nice. Service sensationally friendly and attentive. If I'm in Heidelberg, I'll definitely come back. I will also book the hotel some time. Thank you for the wonderful day.

Very poorly positioned, totally haphazard staff, After we had to change our table, we left the restaurant because the table was reserved

Food was quite good, but felt disappointed at the services for the following reasons: 1) Napkin was not provided which I think was a careless mistake; 2) the order of table set (knife fork spoon) did not follow the dishes order; 3) this is the worst part and is the main reason we did not give tip: wasn’t happy when we asked for napkin when they were serving the 2nd last dishes, waitress did not offer any apology, and with the attitude of as if she is providing a service. On the opposite side, most other waiters are very good, especially the gentleman leader was very very professional throughout the dining. In the end when I told him about our dissatisfaction, he handled it perfectly.

Very nice modern (green) "Summer" restaurant and traditional wood-panelled restaurant. Super friendly and attentive service. Food looks beautiful although some flaws (some rather over salted/soured, fish rather overcooked) it was a great joy to be there. Lovely terrace in summer

A delightful dining experience. A must if staying in the hotel. I particularly enjoyed the all-strawberry dessert.

Best restaurant in Heidelberg? Quite possibly. And the charm of the Belle Epoque included in the meal? Just wow. Huge compliments to everyone who keeps this exceptional tradition going. I will be back.

Wer einen sehr angenehmen Abend mit erlesenen Speisen in gehobenem Ambiente und perfektem Service erleben möchte, ist im Gartenrestaurant der Kurfürstenstube richtig. Ob Veloute von Gartenkräutern, Allerlei vom Weiderind, oder die Creme brulee, alles hervorragend zubereitet und bestens abgeschmeckt. Das Ganze serviert von sehr aufmerksamen, überaus freundlichen und kompetenten Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern im Service, bleiben keine Wünsche offen! Top-Adresse!

Ein außergewöhnliches Ambiente wie in einer Zeitreise. Gutes Essen. Die Bedienung war auch sehr zuvorkommend. Es hat einfach nur zu lange gedauert weil das Verhältnis der Service-Kräfte zur Gästeanzahl zu klein war… Flasche Wasser für 9.50€ finde ich auch zu viel.

Ein echter Klassiker, das zugehörige Hotel und vor allem auch dieses Heidelberger "Wohnzimmer" unter den gehobenen Restaurants der Stadt! Sehr schöne klassische Küche mit Geschmack!

Alles hier is Old-School-Charme. Angefangen in der Hotellobby, bis hin zum grün eingerichteten Speisesaal, der in charmanter Art aus der Zeit gefallen wirkt, quasi leer ist und hauptsächlich von gut situierten Rentnern zu leben scheint. ABER (!): in diesem Charme verganger Tage haben wir ein AUSGEZEICHNETES, zeitgemäßes Mittagessen bekommen, mit ebenso ausgezeichnetem, freundlichen und persönlichen Service von einem jungen und engagiertem Service Team. Das Essen was “alte Schule” aber keineswegs verstaubt - es war extrem lecker, ehrlich und auch spannend! Abgerundet wurde unser Mittagessen durch das Erscheinen einer sehr gepflegten und sympathischen älteren Dame, die unübersehbar als Eigentümerin zu erkennen war, die sich mit viel Interesse und Charme um all ihre Kunden gekümmert hat. Wir haben den Moment genossen und sogar unsere Kinder haben großen Spass gehabt! Das Ganze ist keineswegs günstig, aber die ausgezeichnete Küche und der ebenso gute Service sind es sehr wohl wert und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :)

Sehr leckeres Essen Personal super freundlich. Selbst die Chefin erkundigt sich ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir werden bestimmt öfter hingehen. Lohnt sich auf alle Fälle. Wer Wein mag, sehr viel Auswahl an trocknen Weinen aus aller Welt. Preis Leistung perfekt

Lockdown Teil2, kurz vor Weihnachten. Auf die Kurfürstenstube ist Verlass. Punktliche Lieferung, leckeres Essen. Alles ist frisch, was heiß sein soll wird auch heiß geliefert. Sehr sehr lecker und absolut seinen Preis wert. Danke an das gesamte Team des Europäischen Hof!

Das Valentinstagsmenü war eine sinnliche aromatische Verführung. Ein interessanter Mix mit Deutsch, Französischen und Italienischen Einflüssen sehr kreativ umgesetzt und mit passenden Weinen serviert, ein Genuss.
