We had lunch with 12 people and were served very friendly. Everyone found something to eat and everyone enjoyed it.

The location is good. The service is also very attentive and courteous. I found the prices quite high. For a roulade with a dumpling and red cabbage, which is a little lost on huge plates, around 25 euros and a trout also costs around 24 euros plus 4.90 side dishes, so almost 30 euros. Plus drink, oh well. This isn't exactly a bargain for families. In Austria we also had a very good meal in Lienz last summer for 18 euros. Please think of all guests. Not just to those who can afford it. Thank you.

Always a smile for the guests, recently a nice place by the fireplace, in summer on the terrace with a beautiful view. The most important thing, however, is a very, very tasty meal. Always happy.

Cozy restaurant on the edge of the forest above Jena. Well-running catering business. The food was tasty. But the price-performance ratio leans heavily towards price. €18.60 for a pasta dish with wild garlic pesto - that's a clear statement!

On Sunday afternoon the hermitage was supposed to be the finale of our hike. We were first ignored for a long time and then dismissed because the team seemed overwhelmed. Very annoying. The card sounded exciting. Communication was impossible.

Unfortunately it wasn't possible to just drink a beer on hand, as there were guests sitting inside and, according to the waiter, they were more important. There were 2 waiters at the counter. In that time you could have tapped 10 beers. We're talking about tapping a beer and then cashing in, so no service. It's a shame and not recommended.

Wir haben es versucht… aber wir wurden - trotz des Hinweises, dass wir nur ein Getränk haben wollten und das Restaurant- als auch der Aussenbereich fast leer waren, vom Personal sehr sehr unfreundlich abgewiesen! Hier entscheidet eben auch die Art und Weise… dieser unrühmliche Ruf, den man in Jena und Umgebung wahrnimmt, hat sich für uns nun bestätigt! Früher mal ok - jetzt ein No Go!

We tried... but despite being told that we only wanted one drink and that the restaurant and outside area were almost empty, we were turned away very unfriendly by the staff! It's also the manner that decides here... this inglorious reputation that people perceive in Jena and the surrounding area has now been confirmed for us! It used to be ok - now it's a no go!

Was a nice stop after the climb to the castle ruins. Food was delicious, menu has something for everyone. From small snacks to vegetarian dishes to hearty roasts. Not exactly cheap, but there are many reasons for that that the restaurateurs cannot influence. Great view from the patio.

Service is a disaster. We were here today for the first and last time. When ordering food, the waiter arrogantly corrected the pronunciation. If only he had processed the order correctly. After almost an hour he came back to us and asked seriously if we would like to eat anything else. No more words….

When the weather is nice, of course outside with a fantastic view of Jena. Fast and friendly service, very attentive. I didn't know the sauce for the roulade. A bit strange, but ok. Price: €€€ Conclusion: recommended!!! Anything else ! Look at the ruins and please find out why there was or is no path or access to the castle. !!!

We were in the Lobdeburgklause by chance and were thrilled by the food and the service. Our dog was also allowed into the restaurant without any problems. Definitely a recommendation for your next hiking break.

We tried for three weeks to get a response to several reservation requests (both by email and by phone). When we were canceled today, we politely asked if there was another restaurant where we could eat with 30 people. We got the rude answer that it wasn't the restaurant's problem where we were staying now. Then the phone was simply hung up.

Great view, friendly service, but soft drinks for €5 that you wait over 20 minutes for and when the child asks for a straw, they bring it first and then charge another €0.20 for it. You won't get something to eat if you don't have a reservation. What a shame!

We made a reservation here and it worked out well. The two of us were warmly welcomed and given a table. We liked it. Then we ordered the drinks, which soon came, and at the same time we ordered the food. I had roulade with dumpling and red cabbage, the woman had smoked pork with salsify and also a dumpling. The meal took a long time (that's okay if the quality is right), but we weren't bored and had a lot to talk about. The food came and the performance was good. Everything was handmade (red cabbage had large and small pieces and was therefore not from a jar). The dumpling was also of very good quality!! Roulade was also homemade and was very tasty. Service was always available and very nice. We'd love to come back when we're in the area.

We had a great Easter day there. Very good food where you can clearly taste the craftsmanship. Super nice staff, despite being understaffed, very accommodating and very attentive.

I've been to so many restaurants but this was the best I know. The staff is so friendly. The food is so beautifully presented. For €10 you get a whole tray of egg tarts. The tastiest was the roulade and the herb baguette, crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside!!!!

Schöne, urige Lokation, innen und aussen sehr gemütlich. Tolle Lage zum Wandern oder einfach in die Ferne schauen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war reichlich, gut, preislich aus heutiger Sicht in Ordnung. Ein Punkt Abzug gibt es weil die Rouladen etwas zu fest waren. Wir kommen definiv wieder.

Wir hatten am Wochenende Klassentreffen in der Lobdeburgklause. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Gutbürgerliche Küche und auch bei vielen Gästen war die Bedienung sehr flott und immer freundlich. Trotz eingeschränkter Karte bei vielen Personen war für jeden etwas schmackhaftes dabei. Danke für den schönen Abend.

Tolles Ambiente und super Aussicht! Die Bedienung war sehr sehr freundlich, mehr als Zuvorkommend und alles war wirklich perfekt. Die Preise sind sportlich, aber die Portionen machen satt und glücklich. Meckern kann man, aber wenn dann nur auf sehr hohem Niveau und das erspare ich mir. Toller Laden, gerne wieder :)

Very good view and food was nice. However the little 5 min hike to the restaurant is very steep so better drive up to the parking if needed or have problems walking.

Einfach fantastisch da wird der Service sehr groß geschrieben und man fühlt sich gleich wohl.Das essen werden wir beim nächsten Ausflug probieren. Ambiente sehr gepflegt und sauber und der Blick über Jena bei bestem Wetter ein genuss.Ganz dickes Lob an das Personal super freundlich und können auch etwas über das Haus erzählen.Weiter so wir kommen gerne wieder.

Waren im September bei schönem Wetter dort. Draußen sitzen ist ein Genuss und noch mehr Genuss ist das Essen. Sehr empfehlenswert und trotz Personalmangel alles freundlich. Gerne wieder.

Personal ist super freundlich unbld fleißig. Kühle Getränke nach einer Wanderung bei sommerlichen temp.kamen vorzüglich. Super leckere Limos u Bier. Wir haben diesmal kurz gerastet u nix gegessen, aber das Dr anderen sah mega lecker aus. Die Preise sind völlig ok und die Aussicht über Jena ist einfach Eindrucksvoll.

Lecker, Gemütlich, Freundlich Meine Mutti sagt, die Klöße schmecken wie ihre eigenen! Uns haben die typischen Thüringer Gerichte super geschmeckt, das Desert war göttlich! Wir freuen uns immer, wenn wir in Jena Urlaub machen, wenn wir uns mit der Familie hier treffen und alle sind vom leckeren hausgemachten Essen begeistert. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, wir fühlen uns wie wenn wir zu Freunden kommen. (obwohl wir aus NRW kommen und leider nur 2-3x im Jahr in Jena sind)

Ein Bier 4,80 Euro.. Und dann noch 0,4 Liter,ein großes Bier waren früher immer 0,5 Liter .Wo soll das noch hinführen..Ich habe vor 14 Tagen ein Bier in Bayreut getrunken 0,5 Liter für 3,60 Euro...Wo soll das noch hinführen mit den Bier Preisen..??????🤣👎👎👎👎👎

Immer wieder gerne. Die Begrüßung am Eingang ist Niederschmetternd. Bedienung nur bei Reservierung!? Im Haus leer, im Freien ein Drittel besetzt. "Wenn Sie schon Mal Sitzen, was möchten Sie!" Es wär kein Stress für zwei Kellner und Einer am Tresen.

Nicht nur beeindruckend war der Ausblick! Das Essen war super lecker und liebevoll angerichtet, abgerundet vom leckeren kalten Hund. Jedenfalls eine mega Empfehlung. Danke auch an die freundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen wieder.

Leider standen wir nach dem Aufstieg vor dem Schild "Vorherige Reservierung erforderlich" Es fehlt wohl an Personal, vor allem in der Küche. Immerhin gab es etwas zu trinken aber nichts zu essen. Essen nur, wenn man vorbestellt hat. Deswegen können wir das Essen auch nicht beurteilen. Vielleicht kann man ja Brezeln für Laufkundschaft vorhalten, dann schmeckt das Bier besser.

Leider war am Tag geschlossen, wir hatten Chance, erst ab 17 Uhr geöffnet!!!

Ein schöner Ort nach, vor oder während einer Wanderung. Es gibt hier einen großen Biergarten mit einer grandiosen Aussicht. Das essen war gut, die Bedienung nett. Was will man mehr?

Waren heute das erste Mal hier eingekehrt. Super Lokal. Der kleine Aufstieg hat sich gelohnt. Bedienung super freundlich und unsere gewählten Gerichte waren super lecker .Der Ausblick von der Terrasse ist noch ein Highlight dieses Lokals. Wir waren super zufrieden macht weiter so ,wir sind bei unserem nächsten Jena Besuch wieder bei Euch.

Nicht zu empfehlen! Sehr unfreundlicher Wirt, schlechter Service, die angebliche Qualität ist nicht den hohen Preis wert.

Auf dem Berg und an Wanderwegen gelegen eine herrlich traditionelle Gastwirtschaft mit ausgezeichneter Küche, freundlicher Bedienung und schönem Ausblick. Sehr sauber trotz vieler Wanderer, neue Sanitäre Einrichtungen und schöner Biergarten mit tollem Blick. Sehr sehr gut.

Da ich in Jena war dachte ich mir ich muss mal mir diese Aussicht von dort oben ausschauen und wählte die Klause, das Personal ist sehr sehr freundlich die Inneneinrichtung im Jagdhausstil Die Aussicht ist sehr schön bei Nacht netter Service gutes Essen und leckere Getränke

Wir sind in unserem Urlaub eher zufällig hier gelandet, nach 5 Stunden in der Notaufnahme….haben das aber nicht bereut - und waren auch nochmal hier. Gutes regionales Essen bei herrlicher Aussicht und freundlicher Bedienung von Chef persönlich. Wenn wir nochmal in der Gegend sind kommen wir bestimmt wieder.

Damit ist schon alles gesagt. Ich bin zum zweiten Mal hier und mir hat es beide Male gut gefallen. Klare Empfehlung!

Nach 8km Wanderung wollten wir nur...einen Kaffee trinken...Vielleicht noch einen Wein und ein Radler, aber trotz Öffnungszeit bis 19.00 gab es nur blöde Blicke, die Biergartenterasse durfte man erst ab 15.00Uhr betreten und zu guter letzt schrieb der nette Wirt außen wortlos an, jetzt...also ab 14.00Uhr ist GESCHLOSSEN😲Klingt nach Märchen...Ist aber keins. Ganz tolle Gastronomie. ...Zumindest wir werden nicht wiederkommen und es auch nicht empfehlen.Ist ja sowieso wegen Reichtum geschlossen🤔🤔🤔
