The Dorfkrug is now much more than just a restaurant for me – it's almost like a second living room. Owner Theo is simply a fantastic personality: always welcoming, genuinely interested in his guests, and with a sense of humor that immediately puts you in a good mood. You can tell that the work here is done with passion and heart. The rest of the team is also fantastic – always friendly, attentive, and with a smile, even when the place is really busy. You simply feel welcome, almost as if you're sitting among friends. The food is always top-notch: whether classics or daily specials, everything is fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. The portions are generous and the prices are absolutely fair – the balance is just right here. I always enjoy coming here, whether for a cozy dinner, a meeting with friends, or simply to end the day with a cool drink. The Dorfkrug is a true piece of quality of life for me – highly recommended! 👏🍽️🍻

The hotel is in a great location, though finding a parking spot at night can be a bit tricky. This may depend on the time of year. The reception staff were polite and helpful, and the hotel felt safe overall. The rooms are spacious, though some carpet cleaning might be needed. Our bathroom had issues: the sink and shower drained very slowly, and the sink had a yellowish discoloration, which felt unhygienic. When we arrived, the toilet smelled as if someone just took a dump, which significantly impacted our impression of the room. Due to this a 2-star deduction in the ‘rooms category’. We also noticed the minibar wasn’t working. We had hoped to use it for storing food we brought from a restaurant, and it seems minibars may be removed from all rooms. This is unfortunate, as many guests appreciate having a minibar for drinks or storing snacks. Overall, the hotel is okay, but there’s definitely room for improvement in cleanliness, bathroom maintenance, and minibar availability.

I brought a chicken boletus for lunch. It was also specially packaged in an insulated bag. Ten minutes later, I unpacked it at home and it was completely cold. Nobody needs cold boletus for a euro more than at the Rewe stand, which was unfortunately closed at the time! The taste was also a disaster, even that cold!
