Gasthof Kuhs in Heiligenhaus

Wir haben uns im Rahmen eines Ferienaufenthaltes dazu entschieden, abends nicht in der Ferienwohnung zu kochen, sondern uns einmal bedienen zu lassen, und sind daher in den Gasthof Kuhs gegangen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Für zwei Personen war es kein Problem, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Wer mit mehreren Personen kommt, sollte allerdings reservieren, da das Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist. Wir waren relativ früh dort und im Laufe des Abends hat es sich deutlich gefüllt. Der Schwerpunkt der Küche liegt eher auf Balkan‑ bzw. Grillgerichten. Wir haben uns für den Grillteller und den Zagrebteller entschieden – und das war definitiv die richtige Wahl. Das Fleisch war sehr gut gegrillt, geschmacklich überzeugend und die Portionen mehr als ordentlich. Ich esse durchaus gerne und viel, war aber danach wirklich satt. Während des gesamten Aufenthalts wurden wir von unserer Bedienung aufmerksam, aber angenehm unaufdringlich betreut. Auch die Speisen, die an den umliegenden Tischen serviert wurden, sahen durchweg sehr ansprechend aus. Wir können den Gasthof uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

War dort zu einem Familienessen eingeladen und muss sagen, dass Essen war gut, zeitgleich serviert und lecker. Also gerne wieder.

Etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Restaurant. Wir waren zum Leichenschmaus da. Die Hühnersuppe war gut. Die belegten Brötchen ok. Der Kuchen leider nicht selbstgemacht. Viele Parkplätze.

Es ist irgendwie eine Retro Erfahrung im Kuhs zu sein, erinnert an Restaurants meiner Kindheit. Schick, aber nicht zu schick, bei unserem Besuch bunt gemischtes Publikum, Stammtisch, ein Klassiker. Wichtiger ist aber wie immer das Essen und wer so phantastisch mit Fleisch umgeht, bekommt 5 Sterne. Tolle Steaks, viel Auswahl bei den Beilagen. Kein klassisches Steakhaus, aber trotzdem besser als viele die sich so nennen. Butterzart gebraten, einfach ein Genuss. Tipp: Hingehen und probieren. Parkplätze gibt es genug. Last but not least war der Service supernett.

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service. Wir waren mit sechs Personen Essen. Im Restaurant war viel los inklusive einer Veranstaltung. Essen kam schnell und heiß. Service war aufmerksam. Ich hatte einen Grillteller. Alles Top. Ein Sache hat mich aber trotzdem nicht gut gefallen. Wir mussten fürs Aivar extra bezahlen. Ich finde das es einfach bei einem Grillteller dabei gehört. Das sollte man vielleicht mal überdenken. Ansonsten aber alles Top

Wir haben den 90. Geburtstag meiner Mutter hier gefeiert,es hat alles super geklappt. Sehr nettes,hilfreiches Personal. Der Wintergarten ist ideal für eine Familienfeier bis ca. 20 Personen. Das Essen war lecker und reichlich. Der Service schnell und sehr aufmerksam. Vielen Dank für den gelungenen Abend.

Das Essen war reichhaltig und sehr lecker. Das Service war den Umständen ( sehr voll an diesem Abend) schnell. Die Getränke kamen daher sehr schleppend. Aber im ganzen, kommen gerne wieder.

Ich hatte mir hier das erstmal Essen liefern lassen. Filetpfeffersteak mit Bratkartoffeln und Brokkoli. Desweitere Cevapcici für meine Frau. Essen perfekt hier angeliefert worden, pünktlich auf die Minute. Wahnsinnig grosse Portionen und vorallem die richtige Temperatur. Ich bedanke mich noch einmal ausdrücklich, bei dem ganzen Team. Essen gut . Das Surf and Turf von der Preisleistung zu teuer ( meine Meinung ) . Allerdings sehr lecker . Personal nett .

Ich hatte für ein Abendessen mit meiner Freundin einen Tisch reserviert. Wir bekamen einen sehr guten Platz in einem schönen Teil des Restaurants in ruhiger, gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Die Bedienung brachte uns prompt die Karten und nach freundlicher Hilfe auch den bestellten Wein, der uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat! Wir haben "nur" je ein Hauptgericht bestellt, was sich als gute Entscheidung herausgestellt hat. Die Portionen sind wirklich ordentlich und von herausragender Qualität. Wir haben das Fleisch sowie die Beilagen sehr genossen, wobei wir auch die Hilfe einer der vielen kroatischen Schnäpse brauchten. Die Bedienungen kamen in guten Abständen vorbei, sodass man nie lange warten musste und für die Preise haben wir immer eine entsprechende Qualität erhalten. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit unserem Besuch und würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen!

Ich war von diesem Restaurant sehr angetan Es war fast voll, daher bin ich froh, dass wir vorher einen Tisch reserviert hatten. Der Service war schnell und effizient, und das Essen schmeckte fantastisch. Die Kartoffeln waren außen knusprig und innen weich, und das Steak schmolz auf der Zunge. Meines war etwas trockener als das meines Mannes, aber es kann nicht alles perfekt sein 😂 Ich bin froh, dass wir uns entschieden haben, hierher zu kommen, und ich denke, dies wird unser Stammrestaurant werden :)

Das freundliche Personal bedient einen fast sofort, man muss nicht lange auf Getränke und Essen warten, die Portionen sind genau richtig und das Essen ist köstlich. Wir waren zweimal dort, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat.

Wir waren als Gruppe hier und haben alle gemeinsam und warm essen können - absolut super Timing. Das Essen und auch die Weine sind sehr lecker und schon auch exklusiv.

Das Restaurant ist gut zu erreichen, außerdem steht ein sehr großer und kostenfreier Parkplatz zur Verfügung, was ich als angenehm empfunden habe. Das Interieur wirkt auf mich insgesamt recht alt, allerdings nicht ungemütlich. Der Empfang war soweit in Ordnung. Etwas irritiert war ich allerdings davon, dass der Tisch erst in meiner Anwesenheit eingedeckt wurde und Besteck sowie Serviette eher neben mir abgelegt wurden. Bei einem Restaurant in dieser Preisklasse erwarte ich persönlich einen sauber und vollständig eingedeckten Tisch, ohne dass man als Gast noch selbst alles zurechtrücken muss. Die Auswahl auf der Speisekarte fand ich grundsätzlich okay, die Getränke wurden zügig serviert. Ohne vorherige Ankündigung wurde mir eine Suppe gebracht, was offenbar zum Konzept gehört. Ich hätte es dennoch angenehmer gefunden, vorher darauf hingewiesen zu werden, da ich nur bei den Mittagsgerichten einen entsprechenden Hinweis gesehen hatte. Aus Höflichkeit habe ich die Suppe natürlich angenommen. Geschmacklich entsprach die Suppe allerdings überhaupt nicht meinem persönlichen Geschmack. Es handelte sich um eine Erbsensuppe, die für mich so schmeckte, als hätte man eine Dose Erbsen genommen, diese püriert, etwas Milch hinzugefügt und stark gewürzt, vermutlich mit Chili. Ich musste mich ehrlich gesagt etwas überwinden, sie zu essen. Nach der Suppe wurde ein Salat serviert. Auch dieser wirkte auf mich etwas lieblos angerichtet, und das Dressing schmeckte für mich wie ein Fertigdressing. Das Hauptgericht kam anschließend sehr schnell, was bei mir persönlich immer Fragen zur Frische der Zubereitung aufwirft. Die Kroketten wirkten für mich wie ein Convenience-Produkt, was ich in einem Restaurant dieser Kategorie eher unpassend finde. Das Fleisch war leider sehr fest. Dasselbe Gericht habe ich bereits in vielen anderen Restaurants gegessen, und im direkten Vergleich war dies für mich persönlich die bisher schwächste Variante. Die Bedienung war durchgehend freundlich, das möchte ich ausdrücklich positiv erwähnen. Insgesamt hat mich der Besuch jedoch nicht überzeugt, sodass ich für mich entschieden habe, nicht noch einmal wiederzukommen.

Sehr freundliches und herzliches Personal. Das Essen ist prima, vor allem die Qualität des Fleisches weiß zu überzeugen. Ambiente sehr gemütlich, Parkmöglichkeiten in ausreichender Anzahl vorhanden. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt! Ich komme gerne wieder!

Unser Silvester-Essen haben wir uns etwas anders vorgestellt. Der vor einigen Wochen persönlich reservierte Tisch wurde nicht angeboten, stattdessen ein Platz im großen Saal. Die Wiener Schnitzel kamen aus der Fritteuse, der Beilagensalat war so lala. Fazit: Kuhs war mal anders.

Eine sehr gemütliche Gaststätte, die sogar Silvester Mittagstisch anbietet, mit liebenswerter Bedienung . Wenn wir wieder in NRW sind, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder einkehren .

The food was very good, but in my opinion the place could use a renovation. The service was attentive and good.

Three times the food was wrong. Then there was no bacon on the menu. Then another wrong dish arrived. Out of six people, almost four had finished eating when the sixth dish finally arrived. Not even an apology. I will definitely not be going there again.

The cola was flat and had to be replaced. The pork medallions wrapped in bacon were undercooked, still pink inside, and the bacon wasn't crispy. They had to be replaced as well. The replacement didn't arrive until the rest of the table (6 people) had finished eating. No milk or sugar was served with the coffee/espresso; we had to get it ourselves. The food used to be better overall, but the restaurant has declined significantly, both in terms of the food and the service. One can expect considerably better from a restaurant in this price range. After the meal, you get the feeling you've been forgotten. No server dared to approach us, even though we would have liked to order dessert or drinks. The impression is that the restaurant is living off the reputation the previous owners had built.

I often eat there; the dishes are all very tasty and plentiful, and the salads are also extensive and varied. The service is excellent because all requests are always taken care of immediately, and they always check if everything is alright. It's one of my favorite local restaurants.

When you accept an order on Lieferando and then, 45 minutes later, when the status changes to "being prepared," it's simply canceled without comment or explanation over the phone. That's really unacceptable, especially since the alternative restaurants have since closed, forcing you to wait another 30-60 minutes at a different restaurant. First and last time! Note: This review is unrelated to the restaurant's regular operations.

Yes, what one didn't like so much was that in the evenings at 9 pm you get the feeling that time is running out and you want to leave the restaurant.

We were here for the first time today, but not the last. Very friendly service, and the food was delicious and plentiful. Everything was freshly prepared.

Next to the beautiful old building, there's a huge parking lot where you can always find free parking. Where else can you find that these days? Inside the building, you'll find a pleasant, sophisticated ambiance that should appeal especially to older people. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food has always been delicious and the portions generous. Prices are just about acceptable for these days and compared to other restaurants in the area. However, I can't give it full marks because for many years they've been ignoring the fact that the number of vegetarians in the region is steadily increasing. This also suggests that Kuhs' target audience is unfortunately primarily older people. If there is something vegetarian on the menu, it seems to have happened more by chance than with a forward-looking approach. But for well-to-do meat eaters, it's definitely a recommendation.

Our family visited Gasthof Kuhs for the first time yesterday. It was a truly relaxing experience. The service was very friendly. The food was amazing. The chef loves his job. You can tell with every course and every dish. Everything is delicious and perfectly seasoned. A true treat for the palate. I also love cooking and make a lot of things myself. That's why I know how much love goes into it. The rooms for celebrations are very cozy and impressive, in my opinion. This was definitely not our last visit. Highly recommended!!!

A classic, partly half-timbered house. Free parking is available right next to the building. Inside, the tables are beautifully set. The food is excellent. The service is friendly. The menu consists primarily of classic German cuisine and a great selection of steaks.

Solid Balkan food. Simple, delicious, and affordable. A little more flair, or perhaps a more modern presentation of one or two dishes... Then it would quickly earn four stars. A very friendly team.

Wir waren spontan an einem Donnerstag Abend dort und bekamen noch so eben den letzten Tisch - was zeigt: Der Gasthof Kuhs ist offensichtlich sehr beliebt. Der Service war super freundlich und aufmerksam, wir fühlten und als Gäste sofort geschätzt und willkommen. Die Getränke kamen fix (darunter ein sehr leckerer kroatischer Weißwein) und auch das Essen ließ trotzt vieler besetzter Tische und einer größeren Gesellschaft nicht lange auf sich warten. Wir hatten das Rahmschnitzel mit Kroketten und Pola-Pola (ein Grillmix-Teller mit Ćevapčići, Schweinenackenspieß und gegrilltem geräuchertem Speck) mit Pommes sowie jeweils einen frischen Salatteller. Alles war superlecker, und ein kleiner Bestell-Faux-pas unsererseits wurde nettwerweise kulant vom Haus geregelt. Fazit: Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend, prima Essen und das mit einem hervorragenden Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Jederzeit gerne wieder! Danke an das Team von.Haus Kuhs!

Very attentive service. Reasonable waiting time for food, not too short, not too long. Taste and quality are excellent, I can highly recommend the Dubrovnik plate for 24.90. Price/performance absolutely fine. The ambience is a bit “old fashioned” = home-style.

We celebrated my wife's big birthday there. Everything was great, the food was great, the staff was very friendly and competent. We would love to come back.

We were there again after a long break. The parking lot was pretty full. Inside too. Very friendly employees. Drinks, appetizers and dessert arrived shortly after ordering. Main courses took longer. It was also a full house on Saturday. The food tasted very good, although the plates and portions were much too large for my liking. And I didn't think about ordering the senior plate at my age. My broccoli side dish was brought with hollandaise without asking, which I didn't order and didn't complain about. The espresso afterwards was only lukewarm. It was a very nice evening.

Great location. The food is amazing. Not cheap but very good 😃. I had the wild boar medallion, very good. ATTENTION not for everyone. Because the breading is made from honey and walnuts. So a sweet wild boar. Picture 1 Dessert. 2 wild boar 3 starters plate really great.

Super delicious food, service friendly and accommodating. It makes sense to reserve a table as it is always busy. You can bring your dog and you don't have to wait long for food. We really enjoy being there.

Raw meat was served and taken back with an annoyed look on his face. There was neither an apology nor a drink on the house. The salad with turkey breast strips was completely overpriced at 17.50 euros given that it only contained green lettuce, a few cucumbers and tomatoes and a not so tasty dressing. We won't be back any time soon!

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, the service is really good and the food on offer tastes very tasty. We were there for a family celebration and the buffet was excellent. Very suitable for celebrating.

Special schnitzel and cordon bleu, large portions but unfortunately very fatty. Therefore the quality does not match the prices. As usual in Germany, drinks are too expensive. Staff super nice.

We had dinner here with a larger group. We were served politely and quickly. The team made a happy impression. The menu was extensive and there was also a selection for vegetarians. I ordered a portion of tagliatelle with salmon here. It was really tasty, the proportion of salmon was unexpectedly high and the portion was really filling. A little less oil would have benefited the dish. At the end we would have been very happy about a schnapps. But maybe it was just an oversight that it was forgotten. I would come here again! :)

Was there with my cousin. Had a very tasty meal. The schnitzels were tender and the side dishes were delicious. Small, delicious cream soup as a starter. I'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed, I had ordered a salad with shrimp and salmon. Unfortunately the salad wasn't clean but full of sand and dirt. The shrimp and salmon were okay. For around €21 I would have expected that the salad would be washed and not just put on the plate. The staff was very friendly and also very nice.

Unfortunately it was very disappointing. I would have expected a lot more for the price level. I had turkey schnitzel Jägerschmaus. The taste was okay, but not a highlight. As I said, for this price. There was no sauce so the schnitzel (similar to cordon bleu, filled with champions and onions) was very dry. It was probably because it had been in the pan for too long. My wife and daughter's food wasn't any better. So there needs to be significant improvements here. The service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the clothes smelled like old grease afterwards.

As always, the food was good at Kuhs. Service-friendly Prices have already risen sharply on average. But if everything is right, I'm willing to agree to it. A small drink to say goodbye would have been quite good. We didn't serve it at the next table

Beautiful, well-kept older, rustic location. There's nothing wrong with the food. The prices are reasonable. The large private parking space is unbeatable.

We ate here with the family at Christmas and October and were very satisfied both times. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty and, above all, not too greasy. We'd love to come back!

Wir waren zwei Mal hier und können für beide Male volle fünf Sterne geben. Nicht nur typische Balkankost wie gefülltes Hacksteak oder Cevapcici überzeugen zu 100%, auch das Filetsteak zählt zu den Besten, die ich bisher gegessen habe - und ich esse oft Filet. Die Bedienung ist stets aufmerksam, zuvorkommend und freundlich. Innen ist noch weitaus mehr Platz, als man beim äußeren Anblick des alten Gasthofs vermuten würde. Alles in Allem fünf von fünf. Gerne wieder.

Gute bürgerliche Küche und die in Deutschland typische "Balkanküche". Genug Platz für Feiern, zügiger und aufmerksamer Service, etwas rustikale Einrichtung und meistens älteres Publikum was man an Dingen wie Seniorenteller, Auswahl, Speisekarte, Getränke und Spirituosen auch merkt. Essen gut, lecker und reichhaltig, aber man sollte keine krassen Innovationen erwarten. Aber um mit älteren Verwandten hinzugehen und trotzdem ne leckere vegetarische und vegane Option zu haben ist viel Wert. Es lohnt sich auf die saisonalen Sachen wie Wild, Pilze, Spargel zu gucken.
